Someone stole this creator's Electroneum video, kept the audio, changed the title and thumbnail, and got more views. Crypto videos earn four to five times the ad revenue of regular content, making them targets for theft. He's warning other creators to protect their work.

Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And guys, you can tell by the title of this video that if you're an Electroneum content creator, uh, beware. And so let me tell you a little bit about what's going on here, guys. So, uh, yesterday evening I was just looking at some of the different, um, Electroneum videos that the community puts out. And, uh, so I came across this interesting one. It had a very interesting thumbnail and, um, interesting title. And I went, well, okay. I said, uh, let me click on that. This looks interesting. I click on it, and interesting enough, it's this video that I did a few days ago, but it's not my video. It's not my channel. I mean, it's my video, but it's not my channel. Uh, and what somebody has done, they've taken my videos And they have, uh, you know, they basically retitled them, put in some other fancy thumbnails, and, uh, they're using my voice on their content. And so I said, wow. I start looking through it, and I believe I saw All About Tech's content in there as well. Now, I didn't, I didn't see anybody else recognizable, uh, from the Electronium. I don't know everybody who does Electronium videos, but The only people I recognized was like my, my voice from my video, my actual video. He uploaded the entire video, same exact video. He didn't edit it or anything. And, uh, there was like an all about tech, uh, video. So I tried to get in touch with him to tell him, you know, ask him why is he doing it, to take this down. I couldn't seem to get in touch with him. So I contacted YouTube and now I can't find his, video on here, right? So I don't know if YouTube already took it down or they looked into it and, you know, maybe he had already been getting complaints for doing this, but it was, it was kind of crazy because, uh, it was kind of confusing too because the guy is, he looks like a pretty good marketer. He had actually, the way he had made the video look, he had got slightly more, I think he got about 10 or 20 more views than I got on my, on the original video. So it's clear that— so it's clear that he was doing pretty, you know, pretty good. Now, you know, the thing is, you know, I think, you know, him taking a risk like that— uh-oh, I didn't mean to click on this guy's video. I don't want to be responsible for the same thing that I'm talking about here. But a lot of people want to kind of get in the YouTube, you know, game. Uh, and the thing especially about cryptocurrency, you know, for those of you all who are YouTube partners— I'm a YouTube partner, so Uh, anytime you're, you're doing content that's related to money or cryptocurrency or investments, the payout on those, uh, those, uh, uh, subject matters are ridiculously more higher than traditional videos. And I'll just give you an example without giving you the actual payout threshold numbers, but it's probably about 4 or 5 times more than the original, you know, than the normal content you see on YouTube. And obviously people are going to pay more for that if they're— the advertisers are going to pay more because of the— these are products that probably make them a lot of money. You know, if it's an investment, if it's, you know, things like that, they— the keywords are higher. right? The AdWords placement is higher and more expensive to get your content seen. And so they pay a lot more for those things. And so you can make some money with that. But the thing is that, you know, as YouTubers who create this content, especially if, you know, you know, you put— they're taking your content and reusing it like that, you know, they're Basically taking bread out of your mouth, right? But I was interested. I was, I mean, I was impressed with his level of marketing. I was looking at it like, well, he really doesn't have to, at the level of marketing, he really doesn't have to steal your content. You know, the thing is, if he would've just came and asked me, especially like I'm trying to promote my own project, BitcoinMYK, he's a, this guy's a, looks like a real great marketer because he was getting more, uh, uh, hits on my own content than, than I was getting. And people were actually watching it and commenting, you know, in the comments section more, you know, they were coming. And I'm— so I'm looking at this and I'm thinking, well, maybe they think it's me, or they don't, they don't know, or they don't care, or they don't pay attention to the title of the videos or the channels. But whatever the case was, uh, that's what was going on, but I don't see it anymore. So YouTube probably acted, you know, real quick, quickly, because either that or the guys moved on to another, uh, uh, you know, uh, Electronium, uh, content creator or something like that. Or maybe he's just went into hiding, I don't know. Uh, but just, you know, giving you all this mess to be careful that when you put your content out, be careful because it is people who are taking it and they are re-uploading it, right? And getting people commenting on the threads. And so, you know, I even thought about if I could have talked to the guy, I was going to tell him, well, look, you know, uh, my project BitcoinNYK, look, I don't care, you know, especially people who want to get into the YouTube game. If you're using something like that, you can, you can upload as many of my BitcoinNYK videos as you want. In fact, If you really think about it, you can make money off them because it's cryptocurrency. So like people who don't have content to upload on their own, or you're not a content creator, but you're trying to kind of do this turnkey thing where you upload YouTube videos. I have no problem with people, you know, uploading like the BitcoinNYK content or something like that because I'm trying to market and get it out there. But now Electroneum, that's something, you know, that's something different. You know, that's, you know, that's not my product. And, uh, you know, uh, you know, we create this content, we try to, you know, put it out there, get you all the information, and, you know, for people to just re-upload it. So this is mostly to Electroneum content creators, you know, more so than my own general audience, that they should just keep a lookout because that is going on and, uh, people are stealing your content. So be careful. But, uh, what else I want to say today? Oh, I want to just remind you guys as well, we are still running the Electroneum versus Ripple contest, uh, this month. We're going to select the winner at the end of the month. You can go over to fossils, you get free Electroneum, you get free XRP. The people who collect the most get the most. That's going to be the token that wins, and they're going to receive the pot of that Electroneum and whatever's in the faucet, uh, you collect it and it goes to everybody who comes over and claims out of the faucet. So pretty cool stuff, something to do. Uh, that's all I want to say in this video, guys. Guys, if you like content like this, don't forget to like, subscribe, and until next time, take care.
