Electroneum - Exchanges/iOS Cloud Mining App

Electroneum ranks #42 despite trading mostly on smaller exchanges, while competitors like Waves and Steem have major listings. The host argues Electroneum's growth depends more on its own ecosystem, compliance, and fiat gateway than on Coinbase or Binance, with an iOS cloud-mining app coming soon.

Hey you all, welcome back to the channel. And guys, today I want to talk a little bit about Electroneum, its relationship to exchanges, and later we also want to talk a little bit about the iOS cloud mining app that's due to come out this year. So guys, in some earlier videos we had talked a little bit about Electroneum perhaps being listed on Coinbase. We filed the petition, and getting on a big exchange like Coinbase, I think the— what we were thinking was that that would really be good for Electroneum. So let's, let's talk about that a little bit. So what I've been noticing looking at Electroneum as it rises higher in the, in the ranks. It's at number 42 right now. It's performing quite well today, and it's coming up on some, some coins I hold in my portfolio and some coins I really like. The Waves decentralized platform, number 41, and Steam, uh, number 40, which is probably the, the best social network platform in cryptocurrency. Uh, not without its problems, but as far as execution, as far as what we've had, uh, it's probably safe to say Steam has done it, done it the best, and it's still going. But what I noticed about Steam and Waves is that these coins trade on major exchanges. These are big exchanges, right? These aren't like— and, you know, not, you know, trying to be funny here, but, you know, some of the exchanges that Electroneum trades on, you to me seem second rate, right? These aren't the top-tier exchanges. But hold that thought, guys, because this is very important to where I'm going with this and Electroneum. So if we look at these other tokens— not just picking on Waves and Steem because I like Waves and Steem, I hold them— but if you look at the, the amount of volume they're doing in comparison to Electroneum right now. If you look at their market capitalization in comparison to Electroneum, they aren't that far ahead, right? They are— I mean, Electroneum could probably wipe them out at any time, and that's probably what's going to happen. But the reason this is all very important, guys, is because Electroneum isn't on top-tier exchanges, and that begs the question for me: if Electroneum is not on top-tier exchanges but its performance is this well, just how much does Electroneum really need top-tier exchanges? You know, just how badly does Electroneum need Coinbase, Binance, Bittrex, all of the major ones. Like, how, how, how much does it really need it if it's managing to pull off what it's doing, even handicapped, in my opinion? You know, if you want to make the argument that exchanges are very important, super important to a coin performing well, then if that were— if, if that's the narrative we're going with, then, uh, Electroneum seemingly would have a much more difficult time being able to keep up volume-wise with tokens that trade on major exchanges, right? Tokens that have been established for years. And, uh, like, you know, Electroneum, they haven't even gotten to their second gear yet, right? They haven't even put in second gear. They haven't even put the tires on the road. They got a lot of stuff coming up this month with the partnerships. They got a marketing— they're really, really executing all that stuff this month. And we got the iOS mining app that I'm going to be speaking about in a moment here. So let's just look at some of the exchanges that Electroneum is on. And like I said, guys, this is very important because it's It's not just so— it's just, it's not just a matter of Electroneum outperforming tokens that are on major exchanges, tokens that have been established and catching up real fast with their market capitalization. And I see them surpassing them very quickly here, but it's just a matter of if a coin can do that. I'm just wondering how badly needed— do the exchanges matter? right? Uh, because if the exchanges don't really matter so much in that, I could see a situation where Electroneum is pretty much its, its own ecosystem of exchanges, direct exchanging to, uh, from dollars to Electroneum, because Electroneum is already very compliant, uh, and you know, so it'll be much easier for Electroneum to have a direct fiat gateway than many of these other tokens that have traded through other tokens like Bitcoin and what have you. But I can envision a situation where Electroneum would kind of be its own ecosystem exchange that's very large and have other tokens kind of trade against Electroneum like many of them do on exchanges today, how they trade against Bitcoin, right? That's, that's kind of where I'm going with this because The performance level of Electroneum with these second-rate, second-tier level exchanges begs the question, just how important are they? You know, if they are as important as people would think, as we like to believe, then it would seem that Electroneum would only be able to perform well if it traded on top-tier exchanges, on these biggest exchanges. which it clearly does not, right? So a lot of talk we had about Coinbase earlier this week. People said, oh, it'll never get listed on Coinbase. Uh, I, I, of course, I fall in the camp where I think it will be listed on Coinbase. Now, obviously, how is to predict when that would be is, is going to be, um, uh, not possible because we don't really know what methods Coinbase will use to list several dozen coins that they perhaps would want to list. I don't know if they would want to list several at a time, 5 at a time like they, like they did with the other coins, uh, Ethereum Classic and the rest. I don't know if they would want to do it that way. I don't know if they want to list 20 at a time. I don't know if they want to list 2 a month or 1 a month. I have no idea. So it would be quite, uh, difficult and impossible to even come up when that could happen. But I am confident that it will happen. But moving on to, I think, a more important point is whether it happens or not, Electroneum is performing very, very well. And to me, that's a— that could be contributed to Electroneum itself, not the exchanges. So I think it's very important that we, we make that point, that this is the result of Electroneum not being listed on an exchange. I think we kind of confuse them. We— I think the trap we've fallen into is that, oh, you get over here where it's a lot of volume and people are holding this coin and that coin, and okay, I got my money over here, I'm gonna buy some Electroneum because it's over here. No, I don't, I don't think that's how things are working out or are going to work out with Electroneum. I think Electroneum, it might be the crowd puller itself. You know, people will have to jump to the exchange where Electroneum's doing business. And if that's the case, then we don't need the exchanges. We don't need them for marketing. We don't need them. We don't need the accounts over there because we're going to be our own ecosystem and everybody's going to be trying to move where the opportunity is, wherever we are. Right, so I think that's very important because you take a look at these exchanges, guys, you know, I mean, you know, hey, I'm, you know, some of them do have pretty good volume here, but again, I'm more contributing that to Electroneum itself in its value itself, not their volume. And I mean, it's, it's a, you know, it's up for argument, it's up for debate, but that's kind of where my mind's going with it. And, and like I said, if that's the case, then Electroneum is the beacon. It's where everybody's going to be, right? And that's my thoughts on it, guys. And so, you know, with the, um, a lot of conversation we've been having about getting listed on Coinbase, everybody thinks that'd be a great idea. I think that'd be an awesome idea because every exchange we get listed on, you know, no matter the volume, you know, you look down here at these various exchanges, some of them have any volume at all. I think, um, Oh, where's that, uh, where's that one I was just looking at? Um, CoinBeanie here, right? They don't, they don't seemingly have that much, but you know, whatever the case is, uh, yeah, they have very little. What is that, like 10,000? Little, you know, and it's a lot of these little, you know, exchanges and what have you, but the, but the, but the point is Uh, collectively they all contribute to Electroneum, and that's fine. What I'm trying to say is I think Electroneum will reach a stage here where I don't know if these exchanges will even really be important to us, because I, I think that we will be so huge. I think it'll be more of a case where maybe coins, like if Electroneum wants to start its own exchange and people trade against Electroneum. There are various tokens out there, Ripple and the rest of them. I think it would be more or less like they would come on where we're at and trade against Electroneum. I could see a situation like that in the future, and I think that might be an option. So that's where my mind's going with it, guys. But tell me what you think. Tell me if you kind of see things going that way, or if you think it's still a great idea to try to hope we get listed on the bigger exchanges and hope that people will invest more in Electroneum that way. Like I say, from what I'm seeing here, Electroneum's movement, that these big exchanges don't seem to be, you know, I will put it this way, they don't seem to be, they don't seem to me that they're going to ultimately be any type of hindrance to electronium. But guys, anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Guys, you like content like this, don't forget to like, subscribe, and until next time, take care.
