Electroneum: Google Bans Mining Appstore Yay!

Google banned cryptocurrency mining apps from its store, citing device damage and battery risks. Electroneum's "simulated mining" uses no phone resources, sidestepping the ban and potentially becoming the only mining app left on Google Play. The host ran multiple phones mining crypto and saw batteries fail and profits vanish.

Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And guys, today we want to talk about Google's ban on crypto mining apps and what this means for Electroneum going forward. So we know that Apple has started this initiative, and it seems that both Apple now and Google are beefing up efforts to curb activities related to cryptocurrency mining on their platform. So some of this, or some of the reasons this has occurred, we believe might be due to lawsuits, liabilities. You know, obviously phones aren't able to really mine and they go under a lot of stress. Batteries can explode and various things like that. And so we, you know, under the impression that Google doesn't want to face any of that liability Now also what's been kind of brewing is maybe Google, like Apple, plans to maybe try to shut down competitors in some fashion, maybe by having their own coins or, you know, trying to muffle the crypto, you know, cryptocurrency space in some way. And my thought process is kind of like, okay, well There are many apps that can damage phones over the long term, and I do understand mining is a great deal more stress that your mobile device isn't really designed or has the capability to stand up to this, you know, the levels of power needed to mine. And so it usually ends up at some point stopping your phone, destroying the battery or something like that. And now, as I've been involved in smartphone farming, what can happen is generally your battery life will be greatly reduced if you keep your phones running and plugged up, constantly putting stress on the batteries. And eventually it's possible— I've lost several devices already. But the thing is, in losing my devices, I have made way more money. It's been way more profitable than the cost of the phone. So you also have to put that in, you know, into, you know, the idea. But with crypto mining, it's very— you're making less generally in crypto mining than the smartphone farming. So it's possible you could destroy your phone before you're even profitable. Whatever the case may be, those are some of the reasons we believe that this ban came about. Now where this seems to be an advantage for Electroneum is we take a look at this is that it seems the Electroneum team maybe looked at the rules very well ahead of time. They might have thought about, okay, well, we could destroy these people's phones doing this, or it could be some problems later. And so they came up with the simulated mining idea as opposed to doing the traditional type of mining. And so there's no damage being done to the phone, there's no resources being used. And so in that regard, Electroneum should technically be okay. Now, what I'm hearing is this should be an advantage to Electroneum, as many people, you know, hopefully the idea now is they will bring their attention to Electroneum and use our mobile devices, right? And, and I hope that's what occurs, and I hope that that what happens. I'm not sure why it hasn't happened already, but But hopefully that's what will happen, giving us an advantage to that and, and getting more users as we should have with the Electroneum miner. But with what's happening with Apple and Google, because I don't quite know if it's an approach to competitors, maybe trying to crush the competition, and with them being fully in control, it's hard to know exactly or say exactly Um, you know, if, uh, they won't try to stop the ETN miner— I haven't heard anything about they would. And so, uh, guys, if that's the case, then we would be technically the sole close-to-mining application, as close to that as you can get, uh, in the Google Play Store. Um, and, uh, hopefully that would get us more people using the app, especially now if you're a smartphone miner, or if you've always been one, a smartphone farmer, I'm sorry, like myself as a hobby. Um, you know, you should be using the Electroneum miner. Um, and, um, if you have any questions about it, you need any help, or, uh, you know, just wondering, have questions about how Electroneum works itself, feel free to ask me any questions here on the channel. I'd be more than glad to to answer you. But guys, that's what I want to say about the information, what's going forth with the, uh, with the Google's ban on the, on the mining, what it means for Electroneum, why it could mean something very good for us, uh, and maybe give us that little push. And people now going, well, I can't mine, I can't do anything, and I've been geared— I've had all these phones geared toward mining, I have all of these, this energy and activity gear Toward that, I may as well go over to Electroneum, uh, Electroneum miner, uh, or simulated miner. So guys, that's all I want to say about that, guys. Um, guys, you like content like this, don't forget to like, subscribe, and until next time, take care.
