Game Of Thrones - Fan Art [Review]

In this YouTube video, the host walks viewers through a curated selection of Game of Thrones fan artworks, offering appreciative commentary rather than critical analysis. He identifies a wide range of characters—such as Daenerys, Jon Snow, Sansa, Jaime, Cersei, Rhaegar, Lyanna, and many others—while noting the artistic style of each piece (cartoony, anime‑inspired, realistic, detailed banner designs, etc.). The host frequently relates the visual elements to specific moments from the TV series or the books, sometimes pointing out discrepancies between the two mediums. He highlights recurring themes like “Finding Waldo” character mash‑ups, banner collections, and stylized depictions of iconic scenes (e.g., Daenerys with Drogon, Night’s Watch camaraderie, Rhaegar and Lyanna). Throughout, he thanks the artists, encourages viewers to share more fan art, and announces that the review will be split into multiple volumes if the audience enjoys the format. The tone remains informal, enthusiastic, and supportive, aiming to celebrate fan creativity and foster community interaction.

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel, and today we're going to review some cool Game of Thrones fan arts. And this won't be a critical review as much as it'll be just art appreciation to the fans who make the show characters come alive, and as well their, um artistic interpretations of who these characters are. So we're gonna just go online here and look at some of the cool, you know, uh, things that's been posted online. I want to thank all the artists who've put out these great art expressions online, and we're gonna get into our first one here and try to figure out what's going on and, you know, what it's saying about the show and, and, uh, you know, basically our reaction to it. So let's see, let me go to the first one here. And, um, wow, this looks really cool. Uh, it just seems like a bunch of different characters from the series just kind of just all melding together. And as I look in the center, kind of the center of the top center, it looks like that might be Aegon the Conqueror and his two sisters. This is pretty cool. I could, I could see this being on my wall at home. I might need to check out their website and see if they have this print for sale or something. I see giants here in the left-hand corner. Looks like in this kind of the center, that might be Jaime Lannister, Stannis Baratheon. To the kind of, I don't know, guys, you can kind of find everybody kind of like a Finding Waldo type. Anything, but kind of looks like to the right-hand corner, kind of in the center, it looks like Khal Drogo. A little bit below him, I see a Kingsguard that might be Barristan Selmy. And I'm sure it's just a ton of— it's like all the characters, just about every character is in here. I think that might be Tywin Lannister to the kind of, kind of in the center there. To the far left-hand corner, I think that's Ned Stark. Above his head looks like that might be Ghost and Jon Snow. Really cool piece of artwork. I like that. That looks really cool. So, uh, yeah, that's great, guys. That's a great one. Let's move on to the next one. Let's see what else, um, let's see what else we can, we can discover. Um, I don't know, I'm just gonna move right along here. Um, that looks like Dany, and, uh, well, of course it's Dany Daenerys, the Mother of Dragons, and looks like Drogon is flying overhead. And I, uh, this scene looks familiar. Uh, is this when they took, uh, this might be when they took, uh, Astapor or, um, Yunkai. Um, it looks like one of those, uh one of those conquests. I can tell by the outfit she's wearing. And, um, or it may just be kind of because the dragons look pretty, pretty big a little bit too. So I don't know, maybe the artist just kind of mixed it all together. But I like it, it looks great. Let's see what else we can come up with. Now this is an interesting piece of work here, a different take on, um, uh, the characters. They look kind of more like, uh, you know, those little cartoony, um, characters. I'm trying to see who, who, who are they supposed to be though. Is that maybe Joffrey playing, um, uh, you know, checkers at the table. I can't really identify these characters. That looks like— that might be— is that Sandor Clegane? Um, I do see, um, Alanna Stergar, and I see Unsullied next to him. I see the Red Keep in the background. That might be Cersei in this too, down here with the red dress on. Maybe that's Cersei and the blonde-haired kid with the armor. I'm assuming maybe that's Jaime Lannister. But it's a pretty cool, you know, different take on it. You know, this is more like that cartoony And that looks like— is that Jon Snow sitting up on the wall? But that doesn't look really like a wolf. That looks more like a beaver or something. Or is that supposed to be— okay, I see the dragons. So that's Daenerys then. That's Daenerys playing checkers with the king. And I don't know what king that is. It might be Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell. Margaery Tyrell. Um, yeah, I mean, you know, everybody has their different styles, you know, with, you know, their fan art. And that's what makes it cool because we can get all these different styles and interpretations. And so it's interesting. Not really my style of art though. I don't think I would, you know, have this on my wall or anything like this. But, you know, some people, you know, like this kind of style. And, um, I can see what they were going for on the wall. That looks like a White Walker too. Okay, all right, that's interesting. Kind of like the, you know, making Game of Thrones a little bit more easy to digest, you know, for my, you know, like, you know, my kids. It's something you get your, get your kids, you know, to look at instead of watching like the rated R Game of Thrones. Um, so let's take a look at this. Uh, let's see what this is. Um, okay, uh, this is like, um, this looks like, uh, these are the different houses. And I've seen like the different houses, but I've never seen them with this much detail in them like this. It actually looks pretty cool. Uh, I am the snow I can indeed. This is, I guess that's like the Night's Watch banner, and we got Winter is Coming, the Stark, the House Stark banner next to that, and we got Fire and Blood, the Targaryen banner. And then of course next we got the House Lannister banners, We Are the Fury, the Baratheon banners. Next to that we got the Greyjoy banners. And then we got next to that, we got the banner with, you know, Stannis Baratheon, who, you know, who's, you know, this is his banner when he's from House Baratheon with the flaming heart. You know, he starts to, you know, accept the religion of the Red God or R'hllor. So interesting. I like that. I can kind of see these banners just like kind of lined, you know, on you know, going down the wall, especially if you got like a high roof or ceiling ratter. And that would be, that would be kind of cool. Pretty cool stuff. Let's move on to some more. And this looks like, uh, Dany and Drogon. This looks like when he rescues her from the, uh fighting pits, um, and, um, at, um, the fighting pits at, uh, darn, I haven't watched the show that long. The— it's starting to escape. Uh, Marine, Marine. Yeah, when she was a Marine, uh, and that's when Drogon came to save her when the, um, uh, when the, um, jeez, um The people with the, uh, mask, uh, Dorne. See, they need to, they need to keep the show going because, uh, it takes so long for them to make the show and then start stuff. Start the Harpies, the Sons of the Harpies. Yeah, you know, when Drogon had to rescue, you know, her from the Sons of the Harpy. And, uh, that's pretty cool. I like how the, the red, the, the, the red, the flames, the You know, um, that's pretty cool. I like how they, how they did that rendering. This looks like a, um, Night's Watch kind of bromance, and this is pretty, this is pretty cool. It kind of reminds me of that Japanese anime style look. That looks like that's probably Sam Tarly and Jon Snow and the other two, you know, there was like— there were always four of them together. What was the other two gentlemen's names? It was— they actually died in the in the Watchers on the Wall episode when they had to fight Mance Rayder's army. And darn, their two names escape me at the moment. Pip, Pip, Pip was one of them. And I'm thinking that might— one of these, besides Jon and Sam, I'm thinking one of the characters might be Pip. And darn, I can't think of the other, the other guy's name. Jeez. Um, but, um, yeah, that's— this is pretty cool. I like, I like the style of this. Um, um, just a, you know, different take on it. Kind of, uh, reminds me of— because, you know, that's, that's the cool thing about R. Everybody— it's the, the different interpretations of it that make it interesting. You know, you got the more art that's more realistic, more, you know, human likeness type of art. And then you got more the cartoony type, but it, you know, depending on how it's done, it can all work. And of course, we can tell that's Jon Snow by his Valyrian steel sword, Longclaw. So we know that's John, but his hair does look rather short. I don't think I've ever seen his, you know, his hair that short. They did a good job on Sam's hair. Sam was pretty much identifiable. So pretty, pretty cool, pretty cool stuff. And what is this? Uh, now this looks like, uh, Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. And I can tell by the, um, they kind of have their house symbols at the bottom here of the page. Pretty cool. Got the dragon, um, Uh, the, you know, the House Targaryen dragon. And then you got the direwolf from, uh, Lyanna Stark or House Stark. And, uh, you know, this looks like when they eloped, or when they, you know, when they, uh, he abducted her, so they used to claim, and they run away. But yeah, that's pretty interesting. I like all the art interpretations of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar's, you know, especially because we haven't seen them yet introduced on the show. But we also haven't seen, you know, you know, real— well, we've seen quite a great deal of imagery of them you know, but you know, online. And I think they released the book Rule of Ice and Fire. And so yeah, I like this. It's pretty, pretty cool. So I mean, so far we're just getting very talented artists, you know. Again, I'm not going to— I know a lot of people have different art styles and they put a lot of work into you know, being creative and creating these pieces. So, you know, this to me, this is more about just appreciating the different arts and style. I don't, you know, I'm not going to be bashing, you know, people's, you know, art. I'm glad they're sharing their, you know, how they see the show and different things like that. So what we're going to do is just, I'm just going to try to, you know, see what they were going for. And, you know, see, you know, if there's something that really, you know, sticks out. Um, let's see here. Of course, that looks like Jon Snow and Ghost, but I don't know where they are. I don't know. They look like they're outside the Wall. Now this could be when he, um, you know, when he ventured out outside the Wall on his first, you know, the first time he, he went outside the Wall and he, um, you know, basically, uh, was with the wildlings, um, and him and Ghost, and, um, they kind of got separated. And it looks like we see some, um, yeah, that looks like the wall behind. I like this. I like this piece. It looks really good. Uh, I like how both John and Ghost, they seem to almost be part of the landscape, don't they? It's like they kind of are blending blending in with the wind, the clouds, mountains. It's pretty cool. Let's look at some more. Oh, I remember this. This is Sansa Stark, but This looks like when she was building the ice castle at Winterfell. And remember we had, uh, Robin Arryn. I think Robin Arryn came in and destroyed it. And I like this, it looks good. Um, you know, a lot of talented artists, you know, make these scenes come alive. I mean, really good. Um, and there's a figure behind her. I don't I don't remember that in the show. That looks like that's a figure made of ice as well. And I don't know, is that supposed to be her mom? I don't remember that in the show. I do remember the ice castle of Winterfell, but I don't remember. I mean, because whoever built that, that looks pretty good. Or is that a statue? Maybe it's a statue. It could be a statue. But as I recall, she built all this in the Eyrie. You know, they were in the Eyrie. They weren't at Winterfell. So, uh, pretty cool. Let's move on to something else. And what I'm going to do, guys, I'm obviously— I'm going to have to break this down into different volumes because, um, you know, I'll be up here all day looking at the various art pieces. Uh, so we'll do a few different volumes and see how that goes. And if you guys, you know, like me looking over this different fan art and reviewing it, we'll do some more volumes. So, okay, again, this is more on the lines of more cartoony type style art of the Game of Thrones show. And I recognize Samwell Tarly. I recognize him there. Oh, I, I do recognize Oberyn, Prince Oberyn of, uh, House Martell, the Red Viper, on the second row, far right corner. I don't recognize Tywin Lannister. I'm not used to seeing that artist depiction of him. But another thing I want to say too is we have the show Game of Thrones show, but then you have the books entitled A Song of Ice and Fire. And, and Game of Thrones is actually the first book in this series or this saga. And, you know, basically how they're described, how some of the characters are actually described in the books, are quite different from how they're depicted on the TV show. So, you know, as I'm looking at Tywin Lannister here, I'm not sure if that's how the book describes him. You know, I don't, I don't really know, but I— he's different. I've seen a few different interpretations of, you know, Tywin Lannister. Now, I do remember a specific Um, I'm trying to remember the guy's name who is, um, who was, um, Dany's— not her paramour. I guess she could— I guess he could have been a paramour. Yeah, I think that was the right term. You know, he was— when you're, you're, you're not of noble blood but you're a suitor to, um, uh, uh, you know, a king or a queen or a person of nobility and Uh, uh, uh, his name will come to me. Uh, Dario. Dario, uh, Naharis, I believe his name is, right? Dario was described in the books as having like a blue beard, which is pretty weird to imagine, but you know, I, you know, I could see why they didn't put that in the show. But, uh, yeah, he was, uh, another character that is described totally different in the books than, uh, how the TV show depicted them. But okay, I see Joffrey there. It looks like Arya, Varys. Okay, Walder Frey is the bottomless, uh, shade, the centerless. Beric Dondarrion. I do recognize Beric Dondarrion because of the patch. It says Stark. Is that at the top in the corner? I do recognize Sandor Clegane, that's Skarsgård. Jon Snow. Who is that? That's a Baratheon. That's Stannis. Is that Stannis Baratheon? I'm not used to seeing Stannis with a beard though. Some artists' interpretations has a beard on him. All right guys, so I'm gonna do, um, I'm gonna do one more and, uh, I'm gonna have to break this down into volumes. Um, and you know, if you like this, you know, me going over some of this fan art, because, uh, obviously it's just so much fan art, so many great pieces to see. So I think I'll just make it a series and, and go from there because, um, I'll be up here all day. So we're gonna do one more and we'll do some more later on. But this is, uh, wow, this looks like Jaime Lannister and Cersei. And, uh, I'm wondering if, if this is Jaime and Cersei's children. I think that's what it might be. At first I thought it was um, their children. Uh, but then I was like, well, why would they just show two unless they're trying to show the remaining two? But how they look in these pictures, they look almost identical. I'm thinking that this is a reflection of when they were children. And this is a pretty interesting piece, uh, because it's done in, um, like the anime style. I could see that. But you could kind of see as adults there's a separation between Jaime Lannister and Cersei. And but then you can see them then, there it's like the artist said, but as children they were just inseparable— inseparable because they were twins. And we know from the series they were a lot more than that, you know. Um, but, uh, I like how they did this. Uh, yeah, I, I like what they were going for. Uh, but anyway, I'm gonna stop right there. And, uh, you know, again guys, if you like series. I'll do this in some volumes because I really love to look at the fan art, you know. I really enjoy looking at the fan art. But if you like stuff like this, make sure to like, subscribe, and share it. Share it with your friends on Facebook, share it on different social media outlets, and be sure to comment below if you know any Game of Thrones art that you like specifically. If there's a piece, link me to it. Comment if you liked any of the, you know, some of the art we went through here. And until next time, guys, take care.
