Hive - Peakd Has A Referral Program & Bitcoin Myk - Hive Engine

Welcome back to the channel. I hope you're having a great day. So today we'll talk about something I wasn't aware of, but apparently that has been going on, and that is that the Hive blockchain does have a referral program. Now, there was an article done some time ago by, uh, Hive people Um, and just taking a look at his article about the referral program, it works on hiveonboard.com, uh, looks like. And this is where you go to generate your, your referral link. Now I just want to say that, uh, when you're dealing with something like a social media site, decentralized social media, the goal being that they want adoption, they want people using this platform, and I'm assuming that they— the more the merrier, so to speak— that there's going to need to be some marketing or some avenue to get people to know about the project, get involved in the project. And a lot of marketing, especially modern-day marketing, and with the advent of the internet and so on and so forth, has discovered that some of the best type of marketing is through referral programs. It has moved to the point that many companies have foregone their marketing budget to many professional marketing agencies, and they've instead just opted to go, hey, everybody who is willing to refer a friend, a family member, somebody, we're going to pay you out of our marketing budget instead of paying the large marketing agencies and firms. Also seeing that who's better to get the recommendation from and trust than your friends and your families and people like that. So that's why referral programs have worked very, very well in some of the best business pursuits endeavors platforms. Now there are some complexities with something like the Hive blockchain, whereas it costs money to run these projects. It costs money to run servers. It costs money to run the witness nodes. And, you know, keeping all that in mind, there's going to need to be a practical way to go about this. And if you're referring a lot of people on the site and you earn money from your blog posts and so on and so forth, you're probably gonna have an influx of people who are trying it out to see if it's real, cashing out the cryptocurrencies, as it were. You know, all of these things could have a negative impact as well as a positive one. And going into territory like this, it's kind of difficult to know which are you gonna get, right? So I'm looking at this referral program and I do think it's a step in the right direction. Again, the most major successful brands have referral programs. Amazon has a referral program, Apple, you know, and the list goes on and on. And this is just how it's done. Now, again, because the complexities of Hive, let's see here, let me read this because I was trying to figure out what exactly you get for the referral because at one part it's saying that you get something like 0.001 Hive, which isn't a great deal of incentive, but again, at least it's going in the right direction. But let me make sure of that. What to do when your new friends join. First, you send them a small Hive Power delegation. Um, they recommend something like 5 Hive Power. Then you send them a personal— a personalized welcome message and a memo. And you know what I'm getting from this is, um, this is a great pro— a great program for people who are really dedicated to Hive and people who want new people to come in, and it's a way to help out the community and so on and so forth. Uh, but going as far as raw marketing, it seems like quite a bit to do. You know, you got to delegate people Hive. That's because if they get on Hive and they don't have any money, uh, they don't have any of the Hive power, then they're not going to even be able to post. Uh, so it's, it's complicated. Now this is getting a little bit— looks like when someone joins Hive with your referral link at Hive on board, you're going to get 0.001 Hive, right? And they give the example here. And again, I think that's a step in the right direction. I think it's requiring quite a bit of, uh, steps, but all in all, better than nothing, right? And so I find that interesting. Now, what's unfortunate is, uh, something like the Hive blockchain that I think is going to really require something like a referral program, um, is that, uh, I've only been able to find Peak's referral program so far with the Hive blockchain. Now, um, there is another, um, project that trades as a Hive token, and of course we're talking about, uh, tokenization on the Hive blockchain of many of its applications and projects and so on and so forth. But the project we're involved with, BitcoinMYK, it does have a referral program. And although it's not a direct referral into Hive, what it does do is it provides a Hive token that trades against Hive, which can easily be just traded out once you receive it. And we'll run you over there and give you a quick comparable details about how you, uh, basically, um, take advantage of that and why we think you should. Okay, so here in the BitcoinMYK site and we're in the affiliate area, and again, this is very important. This is where our referral program is. Um, and what's so interesting about BitcoinMYK and how it works a little bit different from maybe what you get with Peaks referral program. You know, again, uh, in comparison, quite a lot of complexities there, uh, as far as onboarding people, but a move in the right direction, which we agree with. But let's show you some of the cool things about BitcoinMYK's referral program. How BitcoinMYK works— it is a Hive Engine token, right? So to use Hive Engine, you have to have a Hive account, right? So if you go over to Hive Engine, it's going to give you details about how to get a Hive account. Now, so you're going to automatically be prompted to get that, right? Now you have a dashboard, referral dashboard with our project, and as you're earning the BitcoinMYK tokens, you get them paid over on Hive, right? On the Hive Engine exchange. So that's pretty darn cool because what it allows us to do, I believe right now, uh, we're trading around close to penny, about right at the door of a penny, slipped down a little bit. It's probably about 9/10 of a penny, right? But what's cool, for everyone you refer, you get 100 BitcoinMYK tokens, right? So that's close to almost a dollar per referral, right? And we're able to do that because we're able to create these, this cryptocurrency BitcoinMYK on the Hive Engine exchange, right? So you get your links here, and I always say I'm the worst, uh, referrer in the world. I'm just kidding, I'm a pretty good one. But, uh, what I do is I, I don't use my referral link. I should use it. I just use bitcoinmyk.com, but I really should just start using it just to see how well I perform, right? But, uh, you all will get a chance to generate your referral links. And what's great about this is if you already want to tell people about Hive right? Um, they can earn by doing this. It's incentive, right? It's, um, part of some of the most, most successful marketing that exists, right? And so we've been pushing and advocating for something like this, but there have been many concerns, some of which we didn't quite fully understand. And, uh, it's been everything from concerns from can the Hive blockchain handle a large influx of people? And as many of us who study our project know, we're a multi-chain cryptocurrency, and a lot of that is to deal with scaling issues. But if Hive can handle, uh, this large influx, then a referral program would be awesome for it. And again, we don't fully know, uh, that, but we know that we haven't seen referral programs. We don't know there's complexity in the rewards pool in this inflationary model, as well as many good things that come about with that. But it's all very interesting. Uh, so Peak.com's referral program, BitcoinMYK's referral program, both projects and platforms that service the Hive Engine community.
