Incorporated Season 1 Episode 3 Human Resources Review

In this YouTube review, the host provides a comprehensive walkthrough of Incorporated season 1 episode 3, titled “Human Resources.” The review begins with an analysis of the opening scene that depicts the Inazagi corporation indoctrinating children, establishing an Orwellian, 1984‑like atmosphere. The host explains the diplomatic tension between the rival corporations Inazagi and Spiga, focusing on a defection attempt by an Inazagi insider who uses a coded Robert Frost poem to communicate with Spiga’s CEO, Elizabeth. The episode’s central plot revolves around a complex plan to fake the defector’s death using advanced plastic‑surgery and body‑swap technology, including a “surrogate” pleasure‑headset that lets users experience another person’s sensations without the side‑effects. The reviewer details how Ben discovers that the dead woman used for the fake death is a high‑end escort, leading him to suspect his lost love Elena, whose DNA‑encrypted ring later confirms she is alive. The narrative then shifts to sub‑plots: Laura’s maid stealing expensive bacon to help a sick Red‑Zone resident, Laura’s subsequent cover‑up, and Roger’s desperate attempt to hack Ben’s “keyhole” by completing a humiliating rat‑eating task for a Red‑Zone hacker. Throughout, the host speculates on Ben’s future—whether a love triangle with Elena and Laura will emerge, whether he will leave the Green Zone, or whether the series will bridge the Red and Green Zones. The review concludes with enthusiastic praise for the show’s improving quality and a call to like, subscribe, and watch future reviews.

Hey guys, welcome to my channel once again, and this week we'll be doing a review on Incorporated, uh, season 1, episode 3, Human Resources. So guys, um, like I was saying from last week, Incorporated is, uh, it's starting to get a lot better. And I'm really hoping viewership, uh, uh, goes up with this show. Um, it's turned out to be a lot better than I expected. But as we get into, um, this week's episode, uh, we open up with a scene from Spiga's rival, um, corporation or their competition, and it's called the Inazagi corporation. And it's a very interesting scene. It shows how they start from very early on indoctrinating their children and helping them to understand that the corporation is basically above all, uh, very Orwellian in nature. It, uh, kind of, you know, gives that 1984 vibe to it. And it's teaching the kids that it doesn't really matter if it's your parents or family members or friends or associates, whomever it is. If you see them doing something that's outside of what the company deems appropriate, that you should inform the company or authorities as to their behavior and activities. And so, you know, this is basically a way where no secrets get out, that there are always eyes watching you no matter where they come from. And we get this scene where a member of the Inazagi Corporation is actually watching this indoctrination. And she feels like, uh, you know, it's really starting to, from what we're getting from the scene, hit her that, you know, this isn't right, that this isn't how she wants to live, and, uh, you know, that something is, something is, is wrong. So Inazaki and the Spiga Corporation, uh, you have a meeting here between Elizabeth and this, um, member of the Inazaki Corporation. And I don't— I don't— I'm not familiar with her name in the scene, but of course this is Elizabeth, the CEO of the Spiga Corporation. And how they end up meeting is much like what you get when, when you have powerful corporations that are running the world like countries. You definitely want to keep relations and channels open between these groups because if you don't have a certain amount of diplomacy, uh, you know, they can basically end up going at war at each other due to conflict of interest. And, you know, so Again, they have large armies, they have resources, so it's like two giant countries fighting each other. So they try to keep their relations in good standing so that they don't step on each other's toes. But what happens during one of these diplomatic meetings is that the woman we discussed in the opening scene here, she passes along a kind of a cryptic message to Elizabeth that, hey, I want to defect, that I no longer want to be a part of the Inazagi Corporation. I want to come over to you guys, and if you give me what I want, uh, let me over under the terms that I'm presenting here, I'm willing to give up their secrets, very important secrets that can give you all the edge over, uh, you know, what they're going to do next. And the way she's able to, to, uh, get this message in is she actually uses a, uh, a message from a Robert Frost poem, uh, I believe, "Miles to Go Before You Sleep," uh, if it's entitled that. It may not be entitled that, but that's one of the main lines that she, she uses. And, uh, it's, it's basically a code And, uh, Elizabeth picks up on that. She understands that, and so she's willing to discuss terms. So as she's going over what the details of this, uh, of meeting her demands would have to be and what the implications could be, her security chief here, Julian explaining— is explaining that if this goes wrong, you know, they could have something on the scale of a global war. And so it's a lot of caution that needs to be taken, and they're trying to find a, um, basically a way to get this done, uh, without causing damage. So the scene jumps to, um, the gentleman here, um, who, uh, we discussed, um, who met Ben in the greens— I'm sorry, the red zone— and they were able to infiltrate the green zone. And I believe his name might be Jefferson. I believe I picked up on Jefferson. Uh, I could still be wrong because I'm still learning the names through the show. But, you know, he was the guy who, uh, you know, basically him and Ben have been, uh, plotting and planning, uh, you know, throughout the start of the series to infiltrate the Red Zone. And, um, basically he's trying to still convince Ben that this is a bad idea. And, uh, he basically goes to his house with his daughter, and, uh, it's under the guise that he's, uh selling Girl Scout cookies with his daughter in order to get into Ben's home, you know, where it won't, you know, raise any red flags and discuss this issue. And he's trying to convince Ben, hey, look, you have a really good life, you have a beautiful wife, and you're expecting a baby, you know, why don't you focus on that? This plan to try to get past the 40th floor Uh, it could backfire, it could really jeopardize our situation here, and, um, you know, it's, it's not worth the danger. So, uh, in this scene, uh, Ben's back at the Spiegel Corporation, and, um, he's basically helping Elizabeth and Julian to devise a plan in order to help, um, the associate from the Inazagi Corporation defect over to their company. And, um, it's gonna, uh, you know, be a huge problem because a few things are going to need to happen. Uh, this woman would basically need to be, uh, uh, you know, it's only one way to leave the company when you're that high, that higher up. You're either going to have to have your mind swept by them, or you're gonna have to end up dead. And so the second option being probably the best, her being dead, um, they're trying to figure out a way in order to, uh, make her appear to be dead, change her identity, you know, which as we kind of touched on on previous episodes, uh, that in, in their future, plastic surgery has been perfected. So they can change your face, they can, they can redo through reconstructive surgery, they can do a lot to make you appear like someone else. And so that's part of the plan, what they're working on. And so this is actually a formal meeting from the Inazagi Corporation. And this is more like a, uh, a social event to just to keep relations, to keep everything smooth, to keep relations good. And they present this gift, um, where they get to experience many pleasures and delights, and they do it through these headpieces. Um, and I just want to go back to that scene because I did, uh, miss something very important that I don't see, uh, that happened actually during this scene. And one of those events is that to try to further explain this technology, uh, The way they're able to experience all types of pleasures and delights, it could be from anything from, uh, drug use to being gluttonous, eating a lot of food, to alcohol. It's just a lot of different, uh, physical pleasures that they can experience through this device. But there is a catch. They have to use what they call a surrogate, which is either a person who either volunteers I'm not sure if it's done by choice or force, or if the person volunteers in order to be able to partake of these pleasures themselves, but they basically wreck their life with drugs, gluttonous behavior, different things, and they actually through this technology are able to experience all their pleasures, all the pleasures of this person who sacrificed themselves without the side effects or without the, the, you know, the, uh, going through the, the pain or the negative results of what it incurs. So just for instance, if the person was a drug addict and they want to experience what it felt like to, to, to try a drug or be on the drug, they could use this donor or this surrogate, and he would have all the negative effects, but they wouldn't. So very interesting, um, use of this technology. And I'm not sure if this is a practice, uh, that is done by the Spiga Corporation, but Inazaki does it. And what we get from Inazaki is they are a different type of company with different traditions. They're, they are a lot more stoic, they're a lot more disciplined, they are, uh seemingly, um, you know, a little bit more, uh, uh, militant, if you will, than the Spiga Corporation. And so in this scene, you get Julian and, um, uh, Ben. They're actually now trying to switch the bodies to, um, uh, help the defector you know, uh, you know, get over without being detected. And basically how they get this window open is, as discussed with the, uh, experiencing, uh, different emotions and pleasures through, uh, the surrogate, uh, they concoct a plan where the defector passes out, you know, from too much pleasure and uh, you know, uh, too much of, you know, whether it was drug use or alcohol use. All these pleasures cause her to pass out and she goes into cardiac arrest. And so that gives them a window to switch the bodies, and it's all planned so that she, you know, she can defect and they can try to pass her off as dead to Inazagi change her identity and where she can feed them their secrets. So, uh, they have her here. She's, uh, they've been able to successfully reconstruct, um, her, her body. And this is not her. This is not the defector. This is actually a dead, uh, woman, uh who was a high-end escort, um, and they were able to take her. She tried to escape, um, and, um, they killed her. And so they reconstructed her body so that, um, she can appear as this defector, so that they can give the body to the Inazagi Corporation so that they think that their associate is dead when really she's not. She's with the Spiegel Corporation and she's, uh, uh, giving over their top secrets. So, um, as this was a high-end escort, uh, Ben reflects back on, you know, the guy that they swapped the identity on. Ben reflects back on his lost love Elena, uh, is now a high-end escort. So he immediately becomes fearful that, um, Elena may be the dead woman, and he's not able to confirm that because before he could get in to see the dead woman as they're, um, reconstructing her he doesn't know if it's Elena or not because he— they do it so fast, they do it without notifying him. So he's still in a bit of confusion. But during the reconstruction surgery, he is able to get samples of the dead woman's DNA, and he's able to use that to track down who she is, and he's able to get her belongings. And when he gets her belongings, he does find the ring Elena gave him. So at this point Uh, in his mind, uh, it's clear that it was Elena and that Elena is dead. So this is a flashback sequence as Ben is remembering, uh, you know, as he got into the, uh, got out of the FEMA camp and he got into the Red Zone. And this is 6 years later, uh, so Ben is still in the Red Zone, Elena is still in the, in the Red Zone, um, and he meets— he finally tracks her down at her family's restaurant that she said, uh, her family would start as they left the FEMA camps in the earlier episodes. But, uh, because it is 6 years later When Ben finds Elena, they haven't seen each other and they've grown from about, looks like about maybe 10 or 12 years old to about maybe about 18 years old or something to that effect. And so they have this, uh, interesting banter, you know, scene. There's this interesting banter going on between them. He's, uh, you know, uh, trying to pick her up and she doesn't realize it's him. And, uh, it's just very, uh, uh, you know, uh, cute and fun. And, um, you know, he then, uh, you know, through some clever banter, reveals to her that it is him, and she's just shocked and glad to see him. So Elena and Ben, they try to catch up, but, uh, on the last 6 years that they've missed of each other. But Elena is now in, in, um, basically in college, and she's trying to make a better life for herself and her family. And because they've put everything on the line for her, they've done so much for her that she wants to pay them back. And to do that, she She really needs to get her education and get the information and get to an ability to where she'll be able to provide a better life for her family. But she's using what appears to be through some type of drug use inducement of some sort, amphetamines and different things. This is a way to quickly upload data to your brain and, uh, you know, basically make you smarter in a short period of time. Uh, so she's using one of these type situations, and there are a lot of negative side effects to them, and, uh, you know, they can really damage your brain. And, um, as Ben is, uh, you know, something tells Ben to follow her to make sure, you know, everything's all right, and he finds her at one of these places. And, um, I just want to skip back to the next scene real quick because there's something, uh, I missed to also inform And that is that, uh, Elena doesn't take to the, um, to this process very well. And her brain actually, uh, she, she actually starts to have seizures basically. And Ben is able to, through, you know, just sensing something wrong and kind of following her, he's able to see what's happened. And so he breaks in and he, uh, you know, basically comes to her aid and rescues her and helps, you know, get her back, um, you know, to a better, uh, you know, a better state. So in this scene, uh, you know, basically after Ben had discovered the content of what he thought was Elena's body, he basically knows he has to go down to the Red Zone to tell her brother that Elena's dead, your sister's dead. And so he's given Theo the contents of Alaina's remains, you know, her, her belongings. And the ring that she gave Ben has been encrypted with an interesting technology, and it only works on DNA. So, uh, Theo puts the ring on, and then he gets this message, uh, and the message is basically showing that Alaina is still very much alive, that she isn't dead. That this was all a part of a plan to get one of her— smuggle one of her friends out, who was a, who was a high-end escort as well with her. But her friend was captured and murdered, and, uh, Elena was unaware of that. Elena thought she had escaped. And, um, but Elena is very much alive, and Ben discovers that through Theo putting on the DNA encrypted ring and hearing this message that, uh, you know, she's very much still alive and she knows that whoever's seeing that message must have her DNA in order for it to work. So this particular woman here, this lady is the housekeeper of Ben and Laura, um, and she was the, the same woman in the earlier scenes that was serving them up bacon for a special breakfast they were having, a special meal, a celebration meal. And, uh, you know, this was real bacon. So as we learned, uh, real food is very expensive. Um, and so what happens with this, uh, particular woman here is because she's working in the kitchen, she actually steals a slab of bacon out of their house, and it's about $600 worth of bacon. However, she's trying to exit the green zone to get to the, to the red zone. Uh, she's actually captured by Spiga authorities for having expensive goods, and they know she's not supposed to possess, uh, expensive goods like that. So, and so in this scene, of course, Laura finds out what she's done, because Laura sees what's going on and she's getting roughed up and beat up pretty bad. And then Laura, uh, actually saves her, takes the blame for her, tells, um, this, the Spiga authorities that, hey, I authorized this, I gave her that as a gift. The Spiga authorities inform her that, hey, you know, basically large gifts like this that go to red zone recipients, you need to note that and document that, uh, you know, uh, uh, legally. And so, uh, Laura, in a way to get them out of that, she actually gives the bacon to the authorities and says, hey, why don't you guys take it? Uh, my mistake. And it's basically like a bribe, and they take it and they allow, you know, her to you know, take custody of her maid. And she goes back and she's trying to understand why her maid's stealing from her. And her maid, uh, you know, explains to her, hey, you know, there are sick people back in the Red Zone. There's a sick young woman. I'm trying to support them. I'm trying to help them and feed them. And, uh, Laura then decides she wants to help them because of her medical, uh, background, she wants her to get her over to the Green Zone so that she can help her in her medical condition. Unfortunately, things don't go well, as the, um, as there are very little secrets and people in the Red Zone seemingly live on top of each other. You know, if you're living in an apartment, maybe you might be living in an apartment with 8 people, so So it's very contained spaces. As the maid tries to sneak out the young girl who needs medical help, a lot of people from the Red Zone hear about it. They see where she's going, so they follow her. And all of these people as well need medical help and can't get access to doctors, so they're through the Green Zone fence. And, um, you know, Laura was basically, uh trying to help get her maid and get the young woman through who needs the medical attention, who she promised to help. But they're throwing bottles and rocks, and she actually takes a, a hit from a, from an object. And so in this scene, we jump back to Roger I believe his name is Roger Kaplan, and this is the kind of frenemy of being the, the, the colleague adversary. And they both are— were working together to, to, uh, take their, their former boss down so that one of them could get the position. But, uh, Roger was able to, uh, get access to Ben's what they call a keyhole. And a keyhole is basically like, uh, I guess it's like a disk of information where they can pass that on and all their information. It's like walking around with your, you know, I guess your personal computer files. And so Roger wants to get into that, um, into Ben's keyhole that he stole because he understands that if he can get whatever in that keyhole, that can give him an edge on beating out Ben in the race for that executive position. So Roger knows he's going to have to crack this keyhole illegally. So Roger actually goes down to a red zone to find this hacker that he's been informed could help him get into this, um, into Ben's keyhole. But this hacker is not easy to negotiate with. She's, uh, she doesn't really work on money, and Roger is finding out the hard way that it's very— it's going to be very difficult to convince her to crack the keyhole. So she— Roger does convince her that uh, to, to do this, to crack the keyhole. The problem is, as she doesn't want money, she wants Roger to basically become what they are in the Red Zone. So there's a, there's a rat, there's a rodent, um, running around outside. She says, if you can catch this rodent, I will, I will basically open this keyhole for you. I will crack it open because she is a woman who— what I— what you get from the scene is she really despises rich people, and especially rich people with, uh, positions like Roger. And, uh, through her hacking ability, she's also able to find out all of Roger's past history from his father his family, his dead mother. So every time Roger tries to mislead her with information, she's able to check him and say, well, that's not correct. I know this about you, I know that about you. And she really doesn't like people like Roger from the Green Zone, so she basically wants to bring him down to Red Zone level, and that's part of the deal. And as Roger's chasing the rat, he can't catch the rat. He's really, um, having a hard time. And through the course of this, he's basically being humiliated and brought down to the red zone level. But Roger does succeed. He succeeds. It's not an easy success because after he catches the rat, she makes him eat the rat because eating rat, uh, is, uh, basically all you really— that's your main food source in the Red Zone. And, uh, I mean, it's just a very, uh, horrific scene where he has to eat the rat, and then she gives him some antibiotics after because of all the diseases the rats carry. So Roger is still pretty sick, you know, after eating the rat. But Roger is so determined to get into this keyhole. These were just all things he found necessary to do, and he was determined. And so he does get access to Ben's information. He's seeing that Ben's after this, uh, high-end escort, which has been his lost love Elena, and he's starting to put the pieces together. And of course, his plan is to eventually use this information against Ben in order to beat him out for the, uh, executive position. And this is a disgusting scene where Roger is still sick from eating the rat. And so basically a very good episode, I thought, this week. Um, basically where we're stuck at now, or what my thoughts are now about where's the direction Ben's going, is there was a few things that happened as well during the episode. And when Ben, uh, was under the impression that Elena was dead, his lost love he's been looking for for so many years, he basically gave up. And he went back home and he told Laura, his wife in the Green Zone, that, you know what, I'm not going to pursue this anymore, a higher management. We have a good life as it is. We're just going to focus on this baby and, uh, we're going to have a happy life. Unfortunately, Ben does later discover, as discussed, that Elena is still very much alive and that the person that died wasn't her. So the, the, it seems to be that the show is going to have a few directions to go in, and one is, is this going to be a love triangle with, uh, Elena and Laura and Ben? You know, because it very much seems that he loves both of these women, and that could very much be the case. Or is it that Ben's going to end up leaving the Green Zone. Maybe him and Elena, if he can ever break her free, is it going to be that they're going to end up leaving the Green Zone together? Maybe they go back to the Red Zone and try to just live out happily ever after there as best they could. Or maybe now that they've been in the Green Zone, they don't— they feel that they're entitled to that. Maybe they find a way to unite both the Red and Green Zone. Have no idea what direction the show is going to take, but I can tell you that each week I'm getting more and more impressed by the show. And, um, you know, it's, it's going up, it's going up a level. Uh, it really is. And, uh, I'm definitely going to keep doing reviews on it. I hope you all get into the show, and I hope, uh, you know, you find some interest and involvement in it like I'm starting to. And, um, if you like this week's, uh, review, please like and subscribe, as we'll be doing other shows like this and doing much more content like this in the future. All right, take care, folks.
