Incorporated Season Finale [Review] Episodes 9-10

The video is a comprehensive review of the final two episodes of the first season of the sci‑fi series Incorporated. The host walks through the major plot twists of Episode 9 ("Burning Platform") – Ben’s discovery that he is actually Aaron, his struggle with regained memories, the manipulation of evidence to frame Chad, the escalating conflict between Elizabeth and Julian, the nanite‑theft subplot at Laura’s clinic, and the growing tension in the Red Zone. The review then moves to Episode 10 ("The Golden Parachute"), detailing Ben’s loyalty test by the Spiegel Corporation, the death of Laura, his uneasy alliance with an Inazagi representative to rescue Hendrix’s daughter, the breakdown of Ben’s relationship with Elena, Theo’s existential crisis, and the ultimate power shift that places Ben and Elizabeth in executive positions. The host highlights recurring themes of memory erasure, corporate control, moral compromise, and the collapse of personal relationships, and ends with speculation about a potential Season 2, linking the show’s corporate dystopia to contemporary concerns about corporate power.

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel, and today we will be reviewing Incorporated episodes 9 and 10 as we complete the series finale. And so we're finally at the end of the first season, guys. It was a great first season. Um, and, uh, it has met many of the expectations I was hoping it would meet, and many of my predictions seemingly came true. Uh, so we're gonna delve right into, uh, episode 9 entitled Burning Platform, and then we'll do episode 10 entitled The Golden Parachute. Um, and then I'll give my closing thoughts to the end of the first season. So, uh, as we open up in episode 9, uh, we're left with, uh, we're left off from last week with Ben as he's trying to figure out, uh, who killed Roger. And, um, you know, as he's going through the, uh, the device which was able to recreate the crime scene Uh, you know, to a surprise, he's seeing the image of himself because at this point, you know, as we recall, Ben still, um, he still doesn't have any past memories of, of Aaron. And so, um, as he's, um, you know, receiving the information from the device, Julian is, uh, calling him and asking him to go ahead and let him know what's going on, what he sees, who's— and, you know, who's the, the persons who were involved with Roger's murder. But what, uh, Ben is trying to do at this point is, is produce an image of himself, and he doesn't know what's going on. He's trying to buy himself some time, so he's making excuses like, hey, uh, you know, um, it's not, uh, you know, I don't have the full images yet, give me some more time to work on this thing. And, uh, he's actually seen a, um, creation of Theo, so he's able to identify who Theo is. And he's, um, his plan is to go and speak with Theo and try to get some answers as to how he got involved, um, in the murder of Roger. So in this scene, we see this image of um, Elena. And Ben does make it to, uh, make it to Theo. And Theo's trying to jog his memory, explain that he's actually Aaron, he's from the, um, the Red Zone. And, you know, of course, you know, initially Ben is in denial, but, you know, after, you know, after he see the image of, uh, Elena and Theo is explaining to him, hey, you're doing all of this you know, for Elena, and this is what this was all about. She's my sister, and the plan was to try to get her, um, back home safely. So Ben does recognize the ring, uh, because that's the same ring that he, uh, gave to his wife Laura. And so it's starting to kind of you know, dawn on him that, hey, you know, it's something to this, that, you know, this has to be true because why is, you know, why are these images so similar? Why is this ring so similar? And these are, um, Theo then just goes into, uh, you know, old, you know, information photographs of when they were children, him and Elena together. And, um, then finds that, uh, you know, Hendrix, uh, he finds a picture of Hendrix in the background. But he does know Hendrix, uh, you know, uh, from his memories as Ben, you know, his, his now present memories. And Hendrix, uh, you know, he's trying to figure out, like, he was back in the Red Zone too, you know, why was he back at the FEMA camps and, and things like that. And so, you know, he, he now wants to try to locate Hendrix As he's in the Red Zone, he runs into Chad, you know, Chad from, uh, you know, the former boss Chad that he, uh, framed to— in order to get his position. And surprisingly, Chad is starting to remember what happened, and he's able to identify that Ben is the reason he's in the Red Zone. So What's interesting about this scene is we thought that when their memories are wiped, that, you know, they're totally, you know, they totally lose all their memories. But apparently, uh, you know, Chad still has some traces of, you know, who he was, you know, prior to the incident. And so, you know, he's very upset with Ben, as he remembers that Ben is the reason he's in the red. The, the red zone. So Ben was on his way to locate Hendrix. He gets to Hendrix, and Hendrix does try one last time to break into, um, you know, Ben's, uh, system. But, and he does, he succeeds. But he succeeds, and there's one last step where he needs to uh, give blood samples of the DNA of Aaron, which he can't do. So he can't get in the system. He needs Aaron's blood ultimately to get into the system. And Ben arrives there, and he just is explaining to Ben, you know, hey, you know, uh, yes, I have— you are actually Aaron, and these will give you back all your memories. He has the, um, the device that will install all the memories back into Ben, but he's explaining to him that, you know, you— I don't know, I'm not sure that you really want to be this person. This person is a murderer, you know, he's a, he's a bad person, you know, he's not a decent individual at all, and he's, you know, made a lot of people's lives, you know, horrible. And, you know, you will be basically becoming that person again. And so I guess what Hendrix is saying, along with everything else going on with Ben and all this, all this new information for him just hitting him all at once, Ben decides that, you know, he's— he doesn't know if he wants to become Aaron again. And, you know, of course Theo was like, hey, what about my sister? We need to get her out of here. And so Theo's, you know, kind of upset, you know, all they've went through for this plan to work, and now Ben's kind of in a position where he doesn't even know if he wants to be Aaron. From what all the— it seems like Aaron is just a person who comes with a lot of baggage and troubles, you know, in contrast to him just being Ben, which seems like a wonderful life. And, you know, And so he's really at a point where he's just like, you know what, I don't know if I want to do this. You know, he just kind of leaves and he comes home. Laura comes home. They both had really tough days. Laura had an incident at her clinic where she actually lost a patient due to lack of nanites, you know, nanites being these little robotic, you know, machines that go in and repair your body. They're microscopic, and, you know, basically, uh, you know, even today our science is talking about one day in the future these are going to be things we use to heal and repair the human body. But, uh, Laura was unable to save a patient because the nanites are actually stolen at her clinic by someone. And so she's, uh, you know, very upset about losing a patient for the day. Um, not only that, but her mom wants to close the clinic because, uh, you know, they're finding out— her board has found out what Laura is doing, and, uh, it's reflecting bad on her as CEO and running the company. And of course, Ben has just dealt with learning that he's actually Aaron, and, you know, he's gonna have to forget the person he is as Ben and now become Aaron once again. And so in this scene, we get Julian finally getting, uh, Ben to come bring in the evidence to go ahead and track Roger's killer. And of course, um, you know, at this point Ben has taken the, uh, you know, take— got his memories back, you know, after, um, his night with Laura, you know, the final night. It's just Ben, he, um, basically decides that he's gonna have to become Aaron again because, you know, everything's mounting on him. There's an investigation there. He's, he's, uh, evidence is, you know, basically putting him in the, you know, as Roger's killer. So he has to become Aaron again, but not only that, he now has to find a way to present evidence contrary to what it really is. And so he finds a way to, to tweak the program to make Chad's face appear as the killer, you know, of Roger. And so Julia is not really buying this, you know. Chad, you know, he's like, well, we've wiped, uh, Chad's memories clean. How in the world would he be able to, you know, remember and this and that? But as we know, it is factual that Chad has started to remember things. And so Ben finds a clever way to meld all this together and, um, basically make the 3D program produce Chad as the killer of Roger. And so in this scene, um, Chad is basically— has basically, uh, attacked the speaker rep as Julian— as Julian goes to, uh, apprehend him. Uh, and the reason he ends up, uh, attacking the speaker rep is because now he keeps having these delusions of seeing Ben everywhere he goes. Because, you know, so I guess he's kind of a mix of getting his memories back and a mix of crazy and insane, and, and it's madness is all mixed in. So he attacks this, the speaker rep, you know, that's, um, coming to, you know, apprehend him. And, and it, and it, by him attacking this rep thinking this, uh, having these visions of Ben in his head, um, you know, it kind of corroborates the story that Ben's telling a bit to Julian, even though it's a false story. But to Julian, it's now kind of appearing like, you know, hey, this could be very well true that, uh, Chad did, you know, kill, uh, Chad did kill, um, uh, Roger. And so, um Aaron is, you know, back as, you know, Ben, the Ben Aaron Mitch. He has his memories back. And so him and Hendrix, they do their normal meeting at the, um, at the office thing. And this time, you know, Ben's kind of apologizing to Hendrix. I'm, you know, I'm sorry for all this I put you through. But Hendrix is just, you know, really tired of the whole incident. He's telling Ben, we're done, we're through. That, uh, that was my last time having anything to do with you. And for, you know, from now on, we're just going to go our separate, you know, our separate ways. So, um, you know, in this scene, we get Hendrick's daughter, and she's discovered some, you know, some, some, uh, past, uh, um, incriminating evidence basically about her father Hendrix, that, you know, he is not from the Green Zone, that he's from the Red Zone. And she actually takes this device and she takes it to school. And so the problem with that is that once she took it to school, it's only a matter of time before they can find out who this, who this device belongs to, who Hendrix really is. And so It's a, it's a clock ticking now before Hendrix and his entire family will be found out that he isn't from the Green Zone, but he is an imposter. And so this is a scene where, um, basically Sanjay Mirage, um, is, is, um is found by the Spiegel reps. And of course, Sanjay Mirage being the person who worked for Inazagi, who has this technology, or he's close to developing this way to make it so crops can, uh, you know, be tolerable to salt water so that they can grow the crops, uh, and, uh, you know, there will be enough food for to feed the entire planet. So Spiga has sent in an extraction team to take Sanjay Mirage out. And you know, Sanjay basically lets them know, hey, look, I, I just want to feed the world. I just want to save the planet. I don't really care who I work for as long as everybody gets to, you know, as long as this research gets finished. Because as Spiga storms in, they, they are basically killing all of the Inazagi representatives. They They actually kill Sanji's— one of Sanji's partners because he moves when he's not supposed to. And so they're trying to get Sanji out of there, but Inazagi is aware that somebody is there. They're not— they don't know if it's Spiga, but they know someone's there and they're trying to abduct Sanji Mirage. And so basically things don't go like they wish they would go. You know, Elizabeth wanted to get Sanjay Mirage out, but what we have to understand in this, in this, in this world, in these, these corporate, uh, titans as they go head to head, if Inazagi finds out that it's Spiegel who's trying to take Sanjay Mirage out, it will be something on the scale of a global war. And that was one of my concerns, um, you know, when Elizabeth first created the plan of going in to extract Sanjay, that they, uh, if they had taken Sanjay, wouldn't the N'Zaghi then want to wage war against Spiga? Because at some point they would know that Spiga has the technology and has Sanjay Mirage. But, you know, the plan was to get him out without Inazagi knowing, you know, what was going on. Unfortunately, Inazagi arrives at the location, uh, before the extraction team can get out because their helicopter crashes. And so at this point, the only way Elizabeth can cover her tracks is just blow up the entire base, you know, do an airstrike on the entire base. And, you know, Julian is greatly opposed to this. He's like, you're going to kill all our people, you're going to kill, uh, a way for us to feed the entire world and give all these hungry and starving people, uh, a chance at a better life. And Elizabeth, you know, at this point, you know She feels her hands are tied. She's trying to cover her CEO position, and so she orders Julian against his will to do the strike, and they destroy everybody. Their, their, their team, the, uh, Sanjay Mirage, everybody dies. And one of the board members comes in. This is the board member who's vying for to have Elizabeth ousted. And he lets Elizabeth know that, uh, you know, basically you've, you've behaved, uh, uh, you know, the things you've been doing on your run as CEO have been reckless. They've been, uh, you know, um, not good for the company. And he's basically letting Elizabeth know that he wants her out of there. But as he's in conversation with her they get a call from the chairman, the chairman of the board. And the chairman is telling Elizabeth that although she didn't initially like her tactics and, and the entire, uh, plan on how they were going to extract Sanjay Mirage, that she understood that it was necessary for Elizabeth to make the move she did and destroy the entire base to stop any evidence from getting back to them that they were involved, to stop a global war between them and Inazagi. And so Elizabeth pretty much dodges the bullet, although initially it looked like it was going to be a complete failure on her part and not work in her favor. It actually does work in her favor, uh, and so this board member is upset and he's basically telling Elizabeth that, hey, you may have dodged this bullet, but your daughter is down in the red zone and she's open up a clinic there. And, and she's— and there's, um, you know, you're, you're, you're not even able to control your family. Why should you run this company? And so he's basically letting Elizabeth know, you know, that, you know, she doesn't do something about that, he's going to report that back to the board. So he's doing all he can to get Elizabeth, you know, out of control. And so I, I think for Julian, uh, he meets with this board member. This is the same board member from the last scene in the last episode who's been trying to get Julian to basically turn against Elizabeth. But Julian, uh, you know, as prior, he, his, his loyalty to, uh, Elizabeth seemed, uh, unshakable. It's, uh, Julian is hurt. What Elizabeth did has changed Julian a lot. Now he doesn't see Elizabeth in the same light. Uh, he sees Elizabeth now as someone he has opposing, opposite views with. And that's not the worst part about it. The worst part about it is he finds out from the board member that when he put in his, um, his, uh, his request to transfer to a more peaceful location. All these years, Julian thought this particular board member who approves this, um, these, uh, basically these transfers, he thought that he denied it. But the board members let Julian know, hey, I never even got it. So Julian is finding out that Elizabeth never even turned it in or actually tried, that she had lied to him all these years. And, uh, so that was pretty much the, uh, what broke the camel's back for Julian. And Julian has decided that he's gonna now come on the side of this board member. Because initially, Julian, uh, you know, the board member was asking Julian, he said, hey, I know it's going to be a cost for you to work with me, what is it? Because he's looking for Julian to, you know, uh, you know, ask for all these different, you know, things and have all these terms. But Julian only had his original, uh, you know, uh you know, terms, uh, which were, I just want to transfer to a more peaceful place. And the, uh, the terrible thing about it was that it seemed like, uh, this board member would have just transferred him anyway, you know. And, and, uh, so, uh, yeah, this is, this is what's now got Julian in opposition to Elizabeth. So this is the scene we discussed earlier where the patient is dying due to, uh, not having, uh, enough nanites available to go in and repair this dying patient's body. And, you know, Elizabeth has discovered that the nanites have been stolen, and her and her former housekeeper here, they're trying to figure out a plan now, uh, how to catch the thief, the person who's stealing, stealing the nanites and stopped him. So this is an interesting scene where a person's brought in who's has a terrible infection. It actually appears to be a teenager, a very young teenager, and we find out that it's not a very young teenager. It is an adult that's using a device to keep them from growing old. And, um, you know, it's actually, uh, harmful to them. It's, it's, you know, but they, they're explaining to Laura that she doesn't need to take it out, which she has already took it out to save their life. But they're explaining to her that she needs to put it now, put it back in, because this device keeps them from— it makes them appear to be still young. And in the Red Zone, you know, life is so tough, a lot of people are getting by on prostitution and selling their body in this way or another. And, um, you know, the assumption here is the clients of, uh, you know, because this is a terrible future and obviously this is a terrible place, so you have clients who want young children and, um, you know, to use their bodies and, you know, in these horrible and terrible ways. And even though this is an adult, they want to create the image of they're this younger person, and they use this kind of device or technology to, you know, to disturb their hormones. And, you know, it's just a really sad story about how they have to survive here in the Red Zone. And so Elizabeth and Laura have their confrontation, and Elizabeth's basically there after the board member threatened her, you know, letting Elizabeth know— I'm sorry, letting Laura know. Elizabeth's letting Laura know that, hey, You got to close this clinic, and you got so long to do it, and if you don't do it, I'm going to do it. And this was a very, um, you know, interesting and touching scene. This is Theo, and you know, basically Theo, uh, you know, as we recall, he had killed a fighter, uh last, uh, episode. And he actually ends up going to the, to the fighter's funeral that he killed. And, uh, the fighter's sister is there, and she, she thinks Theo is just, you know, another fighter who's come to, uh, you know, say their goodbyes, or, you know, a friend. But through conversation, she finds out that Theo is actually the killer. Of her brother. And, uh, the thing is, she's kind of become enlightened, you know. She's on a spiritual path, and she forgives Theo and tries to help Theo become more free of his burdens of his life in the Red Zone and, you know, his pursuits. Um, you know, as she explains it to him, these, uh, pointless pursuits And she's able to get through to Theo and forgive Theo, and Theo just kind of really breaks, you know, breaks down. And so Theo, Theo was, you know, done well from that last fight. He's drawing some attention. And so Terrence is letting them know they finally got that big shot to fight it in the Green Zone. You know, they're finally able to go to the Green Zone and have this fight. And in this scene, Ben gets his promotion. Uh, they sent him down, they're explaining to him, you know, hey Ben, you know, you got it. But they're letting him know all the, the bad things about, uh, what, what it's gonna take to be, uh, speaker you know, executive of that level now. And, um, you know, so they're like doing their initiation thing, and he has to now, uh, prove that he's actually been— and they take a blood sample, and he passes, like, you know, like he's always passed. And so he's basically now got the position. So this is a scene earlier when Ben decided to, um, basically, um, get his memories back as Aaron, and it's, uh, it kind of uploaded into his brain and it knocked them out. So that, that pretty much ends episode 9. And, um, we're gonna go on to episode 10, but my, you know, my final, my final thoughts on it is that, um, you know, it was a really good episode. You know, it's, it, it basically, um, ended the relationship between Elizabeth and Julian. It ended the relationship between Ben and Hendrix. So this relationship, this, uh, episode was about the end of many relationships, uh, in the series. And, uh, you know, we finally got, um, Aaron back as Ben. And so we're now going to move on to episode 10, and I'll give my final thoughts. And we'll just get into episode 10 so we can go ahead and do our series finale. And get my slides working here. I hope I can. All right guys, so welcome back to channel, and we do make it now to the season finale of Incorporated, uh, episode 10, The Golden Parachute. And I had originally meant to do this, um, as part of episode 9 and 10 as the, you know, one final series finale. Had a few technical difficulties on my last video So we're going to finish it up on this one. And as we open up the scene here, we see Ben, and he's, uh, you know, basically under gunpoint. And we see a, uh, basically a dead Laura laying on the ground. And, um, you know, of course, this is a, um, this is all going on basically in Ben's head because, uh Apparently this turns out to be a way in which the Spear Corporation can test your loyalty. This is like the final test to get that, you know, to get into the management position. And so they have basically these, you know, as it's playing out in his mind, you know, they have basically some agents that came in and They, uh, tried to force secrets out of Ben, and the things that he held most dear were at stake. Like, uh, they threatened, uh, to kill Laura in this scene, and, uh, Ben basically doesn't give up the Speaker secrets. You know, he, he says that he signed the contract, he's going to keep those secrets no matter what. And so, you know, in this, uh, they, they do end up killing Laura, and, uh, Ben holds out, you know. But what's, what's interesting, even though this is all just going on in his head, you know, he's under some type of drug from the Spiegel Corporation, it's kind of interesting to see that Ben made the choice to let Laura die no matter what. And, uh, that's very telling in a way, you know, about his, uh You know, it's kind of concerning that, uh, you know, although we know that his main motivation as Aaron has been to seek out Elena anyway, so, you know, we kind of get to see where Laura ranks on the priority list there, unfortunately. And so this is, uh, you know, in this scene we see Ben and Elizabeth and that, you know, she's basically congratulating him that he did the right thing to get, you know, to, to get his position, that everybody goes through, you know, uh, you know, this, uh, you know, this same situation. But Ben's really taking it, you know, pretty hard because he knows that he ultimately made a decision, or that he would have, that would have, you know, uh, you know, uh, killed the Laura So he's explaining to Elizabeth that, you know, hey, you know, you know, I'm, I'm basically the monster who would have killed your daughter, you know. And so this is, uh, basically, um, Ben, uh, in the red zone, and he's meeting with the with the guy from the episode, um, uh, where they use the Everclear machine on the Inazagi representative who had an alcoholic problem, and he would come down to the Red Zone to AA meetings. Well, Ben pretends to be, uh, a person who's attending AA meetings to get a chance to speak with this person. And although they've wiped his memory clean, Ben is saying things that triggers certain information that only this guy is supposed to know. So what Ben's doing is basically, in their last meeting, Ben's coming back to let him know, hey, I still want to leave the Green Zone with someone. You know, he's basically trying to, um, uh, provide passage out for himself and Elena. So what deal he's cutting with this guy is, I'm going to give you the Everclear machine, I'm going to give you all the blueprints on the information on it for Inazagi. And so now Inazagi will have that information in exchange for passage out of, of, uh, the Spiegel Corporation. And so this deal would allow this Inazagi representative here to you know, go up high in the chains at Inazaki. So this is something he definitely wants to do. In exchange, he, he has to get Ben and Elena basically safe passage and away from Spiegel. So this is the scene I think we've been waiting for the entire series, you know, and, uh I mean, it— I could almost just predict this scene. I, I could have seen this coming a mile away. But, you know, BM basically, uh, he does, and now he's, uh, uh, uh, on the 40th floor. He's basically at that 40th floor clearance level. And so he's getting all of the advantages of being an executive. He gets to go to all of these, uh, exclusive places. And, uh, so he sees Elena in one of these— it's like a club where all there's, you know, most they can tell whatever desires they want and they get fulfilled, you know, um, whether it's sexual, you know, alcohol or whatever the case may be, drugs. And so he sees Elena and he walks up to Elena and she just thinks he's a regular client, you know, she doesn't really look over her shoulders, you know, she's done this, you know, a ton of times. And, uh, she sees this— it's Aaron, it's Ben— and they have to act casual with one another, although they really want to, you know, let out how they really feel. And so she basically tells someone, let's go somewhere private, and then we get the real actual conversation between them. And we find that Elena is quite different from, uh, you know, how she was back in the Red Zone. Elena, it seems, has accepted her, you know, place, you know, where she is, and that basically Ben has created a fantasy about who she is, that she's not that person, that the person he's looking for, uh you know, is, you know, was Elena back in the Red Zone, and she doesn't exist anymore. And so it's this very bitter, you know, um, uh, you know, meeting between them, you know. It's, it's, um, because they're both such very different people. And even Ben, you know, at this stage, he's explaining to her the things I've done to get to this level. I've killed people. I've, you know, you know, I've just become this horrible person. And Alaina's not responsive at all, you know. She's, uh, you know, you can tell she's kind of upset that he's married. She sees the ring on his finger and, uh, you know, it's almost like she's, you know, basically letting him know he did all this for himself. She didn't— he didn't do it for her, you know. And it's just a very unfortunate situation, uh, but one I could have predicted because these are two people who've went through um, a great deal of pain and suffering. And I just knew it wasn't gonna— we weren't gonna get that happy ending between the two, like, uh, you know, like the, uh, like, you know, one may have thought. But I knew it wasn't going that direction. And so, you know, uh You know, Elena, in some sense, you can tell that there is some hurt, that she is still Elena to a very— there's a small— there's some Elena left in her, but she's become this very cold and dark, calculating person as well. But we get a meeting between her and, um, this woman who seems to be her housekeeper, but she's actually also some type of, uh, she's been some type of, uh, they're involved in some type of plan together, you know. They're, they're, and they're very close, close in this plan, and they're very, uh, dedicated, you know, to whatever this plan is. And she's explaining to Elena that she knows that the young man she met with, that Elena met with, is somebody who was somebody that was very special to her, even though Elena's trying to brush it off. And She also lets Elena know that the young man is a big, a big executive now. Not only that, but he's married to the CEO's daughter. And so she's explaining to Elena that, hey, we need him, we need him. And she wants Elena to manipulate Ben. And whatever they're planning, whatever they're involved in Uh, you know, Elena's totally dedicated to it, and she's willing to do this. She's willing to manipulate Ben in order for them to get what they want. Now, uh, what they want, we don't know exactly yet. And so in this scene, this is another very unfortunate scene, just a, a lot of, uh relationships, um, you know, kind of meeting their end in a very, uh, bitter way. You know, not— they're not a happy ending at all. This is, uh, basically Hendrix explaining to Ben that, hey, my daughter, you know, she found incriminating evidence, you know, to prove that I don't belong in the Green Zone. She took it to school, and it's just a matter of time, you know, it's just a matter of time before they catch up with me. And I have to leave. We have to, we have to try to leave, uh, you know, uh, or, you know, or we're, you know, we're going to be caught, you know. So very interesting enough, you know, after Ben had the meeting with Elena and, you know, uh, I guess it didn't go how he thought it would go, that you know, Elena is not going to— you know, he basically explained to Elena, I have passage out for us. And you know, Elena, Elena's not interested in leaving now. You know, basically Elena's not going. She doesn't care. Uh, you know, and so, you know, for the first time in the series, you know, Ben does something quite noble, um, and that is he uses his agreement with the Inazagi agent to instead of get him and, uh, Elena out, he uses the deal with, um, the Inazagi agent to get Hendrix and his daughter out, you know, smuggle before, you know, Hendrix is discovered. And, um, so as far in the series, this is the— this is probably the only good thing we've seen Ben do, or I guess in a sense, if you consider what Elena said about him, only unselfish thing in a way. And so Ben meets back with Elena, and you know, he's telling— he's explaining to Elena that, hey, I've given up our ticket out of here. And you know, Elena seems to be, you know, basically now Elena seems to be receiving him a lot better. She's saying to him that the people we've become is not our fault, it's the corporations have made us this way. But what, what's a little concerning about the scene is, you know, although Elena is opening back up, it's just kind of, uh, you know, it makes you wonder how sincere is, is she because We know that she has a plan with this, her housekeeper, and they have to— they're part of some type of plan or organization or something like that where they're going to need to use Ben some kind of way. So you're kind of wondering, is Atlanta just being more responsive now to, you know, because she needs Ben, or is it a— or is she doing it because she really cares about Ben? And maybe it's a little bit of both. In there. But Ben's explaining to her that, you know, I basically given up our ticket out of here now. And, you know, um, Chad, you know, um, after he, um, well, basically Spiga came to, um to, uh, take him back, you know, to take him back in because I think they want to do some studies to find out why he was remembering certain information and data. But, you know, um, basically Chad, uh, is seeing Ben everywhere now, you know. He, he has this illusion that everybody's, you know, Ben. And he goes to attack one of the Spiga representatives, or guards rather, and they kill him, they shoot him dead. And, you know, basically, again, it kind of makes Julian a bit confused because Julian doesn't believe that Chad fits into this story at all. But he's starting to— it is starting to look kind of odd in that, you know, Chad did have certain memories, you know, that are resurfacing. And so this is, uh, you know, going back to the last episode as well with Laura at her clinic. And this is them apprehending the person who, uh, was stealing the nanites. And I believe this is the same person who she saved earlier, um, in the series who, who needed the, uh, who had the artificial heart that was, uh, malfunctioning. But anyway, he had been stealing these nanites and explaining to, you know, explaining to Laura that, uh, this is the red zone, they need that kind of money to survive, that he could sell it for. And, um, you know, so by him doing that, he actually ended up costing someone their life. And so Um, Laura goes to Goran, who is the, uh, you know, who we recall was the community leader or the gang leader. And Laura was kind of expecting Goran to go in and do something about it or punish this person. But, you know, Goran explains to Laura that, hey, if you're going to run this clinic in the red zone, that you're gonna have to get tough and you're gonna have to have punishment, you know, for when people come in and they, uh, steal and they undermine, you know, uh, you know, the clinic. Because what's going to happen if you don't make an example of someone? They're going to be copycats, and they're going to be other people who do the same thing. And so, you know, Goran turns to Laura and says, did you expect that I was going to be doing the only— doing only the dirty parts, and that you won't have to get your hands dirty, you know. So, you know, so basically Laura— he, he helps Laura to understand that she is going to have to get tough. She's going to have to punish these people, um, you know, when they, um, you know, uh, don't, you know, obey the rules. And, uh, you know, so Laura's gonna have to do some— become a person and do some things that she normally wouldn't. And this is the scene where Goran's explaining that all to her, you know, that basically, hey, you got to make an example of this guy. And you know, this is the Red Zone, and so when they make examples of people, you know, we're not talking just slap on the wrist here. We're talking, you know, some really harsh and gruesome things have to happen. And, um, you know, basically what we have here is we have that scenario playing out where they've decided to go with some of the old, uh, ways of punishment when a person steals, and that is the removal of a hand. So Um, Laura has one of, uh, the persons who works at the clinic, you know, with her, one of Goran's men, to, uh, she names the punishment and he has his machete ready to take the, um, the thief's hands off. And so, and by the way, uh, Laura, in that last scene, Laura does— they do chopped the hand completely off. And in this scene, this is Laura again showing strength and, um, letting her mom know that despite, despite the fact that she's saying she'll force her to close that clinic, that Laura was saying, I'm gonna fight you every step of the way, that I'm not going to close this clinic at all. And, uh, um, you know, in, in a way, Elizabeth, uh, kind of has some admiration for, uh, Laura in taking the stand. And so this is Theo. He's still with the sister of the person he, you know, he killed in the, in the last week's fight. Or rather the last few episodes fight. And she's basically letting Theo know that, you know, this material world doesn't mean much. And the, the only thing confusing about the scene is when she's saying that, I don't know if she, she's literally, you know, if he's literally taking— if she's literally suggesting that, uh, Theo's physical life, uh, doesn't matter, and if he's taking it that way, or if she's meaning it more in a more, uh, metaphorical way. However it's meant, Theo kind of stands on a ledge after she speaks to him, like he wants to just leap off the ledge. And, you know, so I don't know if that's how she wants Theo to take it, but he seems almost to be contemplating some type of suicide. And so Theo gets his fight at the green zone, and what's, what's odd about the fight is as Theo's fighting, he's losing the fight, but Theo won't stay down. He keeps getting up and You're trying to figure out, is he, is he doing this to come back, to come back to win the fight, or is he just refusing to lose? But then you discover that Theo was basically trying to die, you know. Uh, he's trying to find a way, uh, for this fighter to kill him, and, you know, he's hoping that the fighter will beat him to death. And this is Theo, uh, you know, he keeps going in and out, but every time he, he comes back to, he tries to, uh, get the fighter to, you know, to, uh, to, you know, to basically kill him. And so what happens is, you know, Terrence is a pretty sharp guy, so he catches on to what Theo was doing. You know, he jumps in the pool and he saves— he stops Theo and he lets Theo know, oh no, you've basically ruined all my chances at glory and I'm not gonna let you die that easy. I know that's what you're trying to do. And so what, what Terrence does is he knows, he knows that Theo doesn't really value his life at this point. So what, so what Theo— I'm sorry, what Terrence does is he finds Theo's partner. So basically Terrence is trying to find someone, something that Theo does care about, and he's gonna basically kill Theo's partner to make him suffer. But Theo, Theo doesn't want his partner to die, so Theo knows he has to find something to give Terrence. So basically he gives Terrence all the information on Ben to let Terrence know, hey, I got a friend who's a big executive in the Green Zone. And if— would you have it knowing that he's really from the Red Zone, you could control him and you can get him to do whatever you want him to do. He, uh, you now have control over him. And so that's the deal, Theo. That's the only, um, basically that's the only thing Theo has to negotiate with that would be of any value to Terrence. So this is, um, you know, basically the scene where, uh, Ben and Laura now as big executives, they get to move in, um, the executive house that's provided with them. You know, they now reached, you know, the level over the 40th floor, so they get this, this very nice home. And, uh, you know, as they're walking in the home, basically Um, Ben sees, uh, things to remind them of the last family that lived there, which was Cass. It's like a— it's like engraved on the, you know, on the walkway, their names. And, you know, Ben just kind of pushes a welcome mat over it, you know, to kind of forget, you know, that didn't— you know, that they were even there. And this is, um, Terrence Uh, you— he basically built the foul up on Ben now because he knows now he's going to be able to manipulate Ben as he's going to threaten him, you know, about, you know, information he has on him that he is from the Red Zone. And this is a picture of Elena, and again, you know, Elena just plotting to You know, now as this, you know, as the show's in and she's, you know, plotting along, everybody's kind of going their separate ways. And Elena's, you know, going through the motion of, you know, plotting to, you know, use and manipulate Ben to whatever their plan is. And we don't know what her plan is yet, but she has some big plan along with this other woman or a group of people or organization And, uh, you know, Laura finally gets pregnant, you know, because, you know, as we recall, Ben was attempting not to get Laura pregnant, you know, as he knew ultimately he didn't want to stay with Laura. But when he became— when his memories were wiped, wiped of his memories of error, were wiped from his mind, he forgot all about that. And, um, you know, throughout that process, he got Laura pregnant. And we can basically tell that Laura doesn't want to be pregnant. And I don't— at this point, it seems— and I'm not sure why that is. It could possibly be because she's so invested in her clinic now, and that could possibly be why she, she doesn't desire this anymore. And we finally get Ben. He walks into the office of the 40th floor, or well, above the 40th floor rather, and he's in his, uh, nice new executive office, and he's just kind of overlooking the city as he's kind of anticipating what comes next. And so That pretty much ends, um, the, the season of Incorporated. And, uh, as I had been saying, I just thought it was a great science fiction show. I, I think one of my favorite right now on the, on the Syfy channel. And, uh, you know, my closing thoughts are I'm very curious about, you know, what we're going to get with Elena and, and, and Ben now, because Alaina's working with someone. And who is this someone that she could be working with? My guess is that who she's— who she's working for, my prediction is she's working with some kind of group of revolutionaries that intend on toppling the entire system. And I'm assuming how they're operating, they probably already have high-level executives in different places and I think they got a big plan. And I don't know who's all involved. There's probably a lot of big, you know, big people already involved in this thing. And so, um, yeah, the plan is they're going to topple the system. And I think Elena's working towards that because she, she wants to see the end of how the corporations have, have run the world. Uh, you know, the other thing is Julian and, um, Elizabeth, you know, they're gonna go head to head as, you know, Julian's gonna basically be, you know, now part of, you know, uh, basically what's going to cause her to fall, uh, fall from power. And so that'll make an interesting, uh, you know, season 2. And, you know, having, um, you know, I haven't heard, uh, um you know, anything about season 2 yet, as I was saying earlier. But I'm very confident they're going to get another season 2 because this is the right type of show at the right type of time. You know, we live in a world right now where, uh, we're very concerned about the power of corporations and how they run the world. So I think it's very relevant to a lot of the conversation that goes on right now. So, uh, you know, just, uh, just, uh, just been a Great show, uh, great 10 episodes. I wish there were more, but guys, I hope you all have enjoyed the, uh, you know, the series thus far. Um, comment, let us know if you have and if you, uh, are looking forward to a season 2. And, uh, be sure to check out our other, um, reviews we're going to be doing on some other TV shows that, um you know, have just come out that look very interesting, or ones I've just jumped on board with. And, uh, until then, guys, take care.
