In this YouTube reaction video, the host (Speaker A) watches and critiques the second official Power Rangers movie trailer. He begins by noting his childhood connection to the franchise and his expectation of a darker, more realistic take after the first trailer. He comments on casting, highlighting Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, and mentions the recurring use of Kanye West’s "Power" in the trailer’s soundtrack, expressing fatigue with the choice. The host compares the trailer’s tone to the first, describing the new one as more comic‑book‑style and less mysterious, and references 1990s Power Rangers movies, especially the poorly received Ivan Ooze era. He reflects on how the franchise’s target demographic has shifted toward younger audiences, admits he may have outgrown the series, and concludes with a call for viewer feedback and a reminder to like and subscribe.

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel, and today we're going to be reviewing the Power Rangers trailer number 2. Um, and, um, I don't know, I grew up watching Power Rangers, and from what I got from the first trailer, this seems to be a more darker, more realistic take on the Power Rangers. And as I understand it, Bryan Cranston will be playing Zordon. So I like Bryan Cranston, of course, from the Breaking Bad series. So let's check out this trailer and let's see what we get.
None of us really know each other. We're all screw-ups, but somehow we were all in the same place at the same time when we found those coins. Guys, check out how we glow!
I'm blue!
No, I'm black! What? I am! No, you're not! Oh, you feel weird but strong. Insanely strong. The answer to what is happening to you is here. You five are the Power Rangers.
It's just like Brian Chris.
Did I just hear you say we're Power Rangers? Is this some kind of joke? We're talking to a Womp.
I was kind of expecting a little more.
So where were you last night? Me and 4 kids found a spaceship buried underground. I'm pretty sure I'm a superhero. Cool. Pee in that cup. Power Rangers were a legion of warriors. You must become those warriors. It's just a hologram, like in a video game. That's a strong-ass hologram. A lot of it. Okay, you were born for this. She is pure evil. You expect us to stop her? It's morphin' time. Better than anybody you ever seen do it. That's a lot of gold. This is your destiny. Let's go, let's go! This is your time.
Hmm, um, I don't know. This trailer, it kind of seems like it's, um, uh, it looks like it's kind of going back more to the TV series a bit. Um, I think I like the first trailer a little bit better. Uh, it was a lot more mystery, and I wasn't quite sure what direction they were going to take, but it just seems to me this is, um I don't know, um, it's, um, I, I didn't like, uh, another thing I noticed, they, they always put, um, this Kanye West, um, piece in the, um, you know, in these trailers. We've heard that, you know, the Power song played a lot through various trailers, and, um, I kind of get it, you know, Power, Power Rangers. But, uh, I think I'm just— I've just heard that too much, and I, you know, used in, uh, you know, these movie trailers, and I kind of wish they would have went with something else. Another thing, when Rita Repulsa was walking down the street and those things were bursting out of the ground, was that like supposed to be Putties or was that something else? I don't really know. You know, they did the Power Ranger movies, I think back in the '90s, and a lot of people didn't like those movies. The ones with Ivan Ooze. You know, a lot of movies get jokes now when they see other characters that resemble Ivan Ooze. So, you know, I don't know. You know, when I was a kid, I liked the Power Rangers movies, but you know, this second trailer, it looks like it went more back towards that, you know, and I understand the demographic is usually from 13 years old on up, but I don't know, I think we've gotten a lot more sophisticated with our movies now. Even, even the kids, you know, they're looking for a certain thing. And I like that, I like that first trailer, like I said. But, um, you know, this one, I don't know, maybe I saw too much. I don't, I'm, I don't know, I'm not feeling it. I was feeling the first one, I'm not too much feeling this one. Uh, I also noticed that, uh, with Rita Repulsa, uh, as I got a closer look, I, I saw her, uh, Elizabeth Banks' name in the, in the, um credits, you know, part of the cast. And, you know, Elizabeth Banks from The Hunger Games, you know. And I was able to get a better look at Rita Repulsa and discover she is Rita Repulsa. If you look, you know, pretty good, it is Elizabeth Banks. And, you know, I did hear a little bit online about her storyline, you know, about she was You know, you kind of see the green energy emitting from her, and she was, you know, once a Power Ranger herself. And she later, you know, will create the Green Ranger, you know, using that same energy source, I guess, you know, that hails from her. But, you know, I don't know, guys. Have I outgrown the Power Rangers? Maybe I have. I, I did like, um, I did— I do like where it's going from the original. I, you know, I like how it looks now, but, uh, I don't know, some, some of it just, um, like I said, I like the first trailer. It felt a little darker, and I was like, are they going to take the Power Rangers more to a realistic superhero approach? And that's what it was looking like, and I was like, wow, that's interesting. But in this one, it kind of, you know, pulled me back into you know, okay, it's kind of, uh, gonna be kind of comic booky and things like that. And that's all right, that's okay, that's all right for the younger audiences. I guess it just didn't really move me. But anyway, if you guys like the Power Rangers, um, uh, um, you know, trailer and you know what they're doing with the movies, please let us know. Um, and, um, if you like content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe. Take care, guys.
