Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And guys, we finally got it. We got the Solo: A Star Wars Story official trailer released. And, um, the teaser trailer came out during the Super Bowl. Next day, full trailer was released. And, um, guys, I gotta say, uh, I really liked What I saw during this trailer, it looked to me really good. Some information, what's going on with Solo movie is we have Ron Howard directing. I like Ron Howard. Ron Howard, great director. Interesting enough, Dan and Dave from the Game of Thrones fame are producing and writing this movie. And, uh, you know, of course Dan and Dave have done great with the Game of Thrones series on HBO. And so while we can see a little bit of loyalty here with him, cat with, uh, Emilia Clarke, who plays, uh, Daenerys Stormborn Khaleesi, Queen of or Mother of Dragons, in this film as well, seems to be paying playing Han Solo's love interest. So everything looked great, guys. What we didn't quite get— we didn't quite get what is the goal of the movie, you know, what is the objective to this film. Is it just a retelling of how Han Solo came to be? And maybe that's what it is, and just a backstory how he gets there. What I liked about the trailer is it reminded me somewhat the imagery of Rogue One, the look of it. And for me personally, I thought Rogue One was a great movie. I loved the entire feel of Rogue One. To me, probably if not the best, one of the best Star Wars movies ever created. And maybe Dan and Dave will kind of more go over to that area with it, you know, because as we know, they write these dark fantasies, these stories. They're really good at stories that touch on morality. And Han Solo, throughout the series, we've never really seen him as really the hero of the story. He's always been more of a background character, kind of like the anti-hero, you know, not the bad guy, but not like a hero. And, uh, that's what a lot of us have liked about, you know, Han Solo. Um, and so, uh, I think he will work well with Dan Adair's writing. But, uh, we, you know, but, um, what I'm hoping is it does go more in that direction of the Rogue One type movies with the look and feel of this movie. And I'm not sure if they're gonna really get into how Han Solo and Chewie met and the entire story with that. That would be interesting. As some of us probably know, it had to do with, you know, Han Solo being asked to kill Chewie. He was part of the Empire, and there was a type of Wookiee genocide. So I don't know if they're gonna go with that story. I don't know You know, maybe they will address that because it does talk about how he's going to be the best pilot in the, you know, in the galaxy. So it does seem to be kind of going back, you know, towards that. So we may get some of that in, in the film. It will be interesting to see Donald Glover playing Lando Calrissian. I like the look. I like how Donald Glover's looking in the role. It looks like he's going to be quite interesting as they tell the story between the relationship between Lando and Han Solo. Now, although everything looked great to me, I like the feel of the trailer, some people around— there's always been this type of issue with characters, actors playing Han Solo that don't quite capture the Han Solo feel. And when asked the question, what is the Han Solo feel, a lot of us are relating to Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford did a really good job of making the Han Solo character live and really making the Han Solo character, you know, unlike, you know, many— this is a talent Harrison Ford has where he's able to make characters so much his that it's hard for anybody else to take on these characters without having to pay homage to him and without in some sense having to try to model him. He not only done that with Harrison Ford, but he's done that with Indiana Jones as well. If they tried to make another Indiana Jones movie, they— it would be the same thing. He just really— he's— it's— I think the, the thing with Harrison Ford is when he acts he's pretty much really just being himself. You know, Harrison Ford is pretty much Harrison Ford, uh, in real life and in, in the movies. You know, it's just Harrison Ford take, you know, acting in the movie. And so I think that's why these characters so much embody him. And I believe the young character's name is Eric, um, I didn't— I don't know, I'm gonna butcher this guy's name. I used to know it Aaron Arnvok, something like that. I used to know it, I forgot it. Sorry about that. But he is playing Han Solo. There's been some problems with his look and feel as compared to the other actors who've maybe come closer. And when I say come closer, again, I'm more relating it to Harrison Ford. I like what Aaron's done with the role. I thought that he captures enough of the essence of the Han Solo character to where I'm sold enough on it. There are some scenes where, you know, he's speaking and some people don't like his voice, but when he's kind of doing the voiceover to the trailer, I thought he sounded pretty good. And so I was kind of alright with that, but some people brought up a an actor, I believe his name is Anthony Ingruber, who was in, I believe the movie was called The Age of Adelaide, where he played a young Han Solo— I'm sorry, a young Harrison Ford— and he was almost like a spitting image of him. And he does look a lot like Harrison Ford, he does sound exactly like Harrison Ford, but I think they were kind of too concerned about him being this direct mimic of the Harrison Ford actor. So I can understand all the concerns coming from every different area. And, but all in all, guys, I liked what I've seen with the movie. I'm glad it's coming out. It's due to come out on Memorial Day. And so it's looking good, guys. Tell me what you thought about it. Tell me, is this something that you think is gonna work well? I think it's going to be better than The Last Jedi. I think it's gonna be in the class of Rogue One and somewhat The Force Awakens. So those kind of were my, my 3 favorites so far in the series, with Rogue One being my number 1. And something tells me this is gonna be my number 2 so far in the series. I personally, guys, I think the movies that stay away from the Skywalkers as much as, you know, I know everybody loves the, the essence of the Jedi in the Skywalker family. But I think that those stories were told well back in the original series. Some of the newer prequel series, certain areas of them did okay, but for the most part, I felt the original backstory did well. And I think, you know, as far as regards to the Skywalker family, I think Now the Star Wars franchise does great just to deal with minor characters, to deal with other aspects and parts of the Star Wars universe. I think that they really ought to stay away from the Skywalker family. I think it's been kind of disastrous in a way what we've seen with the Skywalkers as of late. But all of these new type of, you know, the information on the outskirts parts of the Star Wars, uh, story have been great to me, and I've enjoyed them. And, uh, I'm also open to a more mature type telling of the Star Wars, uh, story. And that's why I think I liked Rogue One so much, because Rogue One felt more like a war movie. It felt more like a serious-natured Star Wars film. It wasn't, you know, something that really reached the demographic of the young audience. That's true. But, um, You know, I mean, the comic books are doing it. Marvel's done it. They've made rated R type of movies that relate to comic books. I'm not saying that Star Wars needs to make any type of rated R movies or anything like that. You know, PG-13 is fine, or even PG. But I do think it would be interesting, and I don't think that it's necessarily a bad idea to explore a more serious nature maybe a little bit more mature type Star Wars story sometimes. And maybe the Solo movie is a, you know, a good opportunity to maybe add a little bit of that in like they did with Rogue One. But anyway, guys, that's what I think so far about the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer. Tell me what you think, guys. You like content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe.
