Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. And today we want to discuss if the new Star Trek Discovery series may be an anthology. And we know from last year that Bryan Fuller kind of avoided this question. He He didn't quite confirm or deny if it would be an anthology series or not. He did specifically say that the first season or the first 13 episodes would revolve around a central story, one story about a particular crew of the Discovery. But we don't really know what season 2 will be about, if that will continue on. Some have speculated that it may end up being an anthology where it may take place in different quadrants of the known galaxy. It may take place in different times, you know, whether that be past events or future events. And so I'm on board for that if they're going that direction. I think that would be a great direction to take this new series in. You know, we've kind of seen this kind of play out in various works of science fiction. We've had things like The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, Battlestar Galactica. It dealt, you know, with the main series that covered the crew of the Battlestar Galactica, But then they released Caprica, which dealt with, you know, life prior to the Cylon War. So there are so many different things that they could do with this series that I think would satisfy a lot of Star Trek fans. And, you know, imagine if they did something where you know, it didn't even really deal with Starfleet so much, but just, uh, life in this particular, uh, you know, time in a certain part of the universe, uh, that kind of just dealt with everyday life and everyday citizens of the United Federation of Planets. Uh, so they could do so much with this series. And, um, you know, again, it's not been confirmed or denied. Um, I just, I recall some, um information, uh, saying that this wouldn't be an anthology, you know, and that it would be dealing with this, you know, particular, uh, storyline. Uh, but we could have a collection of stories, um, you know, later on, uh, in the following seasons. And some speculate it could be in various times, it could be, um you know, dealing with various parts of the United Federation of Planets and different areas of the galaxy. So I think that would be a great idea. I guess we just have to wait and see, guys, if it's going to be an anthology or not. I'd like to hear you guys' opinions if you would like it to be, you know, an anthology. We've had some people who are kind of upset. They kind of wanted to see a time frame after Next Generation crew, you know, um, uh, things like that. And we've had, uh, you know, some that wanted to see a period between Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and that period, you know, that leads us up to The Next Generation of, um, Star Trek. And, uh, I'm sure we probably have some that don't mind the past, you know, it going back in the past. I don't really mind so much it, you know, going back in the past, more so like a prequel again, you know, as long as it's a good storyline and things like that. Um, but, uh, guys, um, anyway, uh, don't forget to like and subscribe, and until next time, take care.
