Hey guys, welcome back to the channel, and I'm excited today to announce Star Trek Discovery delivered some casting news. They're gonna be casting Rekha Sharma to play a Federation security officer by the name of Commander Landry, and there were 5 people, I believe, in total cast, guys. But I'm kind of doing a spotlight here on Rika because I really don't know these other actors' work. I think one starred in Supernatural. I'm not very familiar with them. But when I do my announcements on actors who are playing certain roles in Star Trek, I usually only target actors whose work I know. And because I kind of do a slash spotlight on the characters, guys, and I do that So we have an idea of what, um, what's— what these actors are going to deliver to these roles. Some, uh, you know, what we can— some insight into what we can expect. And, uh, there are a lot of other news channels and people bringing casting news. And if you want more in-depth information on the other people cast, please be sure and check out their channel. But, um, I'm trying to give information on the people that I know and love. I followed their careers. And Rika, uh, besides being very beautiful, I've followed her work in a lot of science fiction superhero shows. And so I was excited when I got the news, especially being that Rekha Sharma is already pretty much, well, in my eyes anyway, a member of the Star Trek family. She was in a fan film called Star Trek Continues, very well done. I think the best Star Trek fan film out there. And even though it's not considered canon, I feel it should be. And Rika did a good job. If you haven't seen Star Trek Continues yet, please check that out and you can see Rika Sharma doing a great job over there. But You know what's also great about Rika is she's played on a lot of shows we know and love, you know, really good shows. She actually played a doctor in Smallville, and I'm gonna have to go back and watch that episode because when it comes to Smallville, I thought I know every episode, every nook and cranny to Smallville, but apparently some way Rika got past me. It must have been somewhere before— it must have been before Battlestar Galactica or something like that. Some way she snuck past me because it's like, now— and actually, I think I remember that episode, but when she starred in that particular episode, I think she was an unknown, and that's probably how she got past me. But Rika also starred in the short-lived but what I thought was a fantastic show that should have never been canceled The Visitors, you know, the lizard, the lizard aliens. That was a remake from the, the older version that came out in the mid-'80s. So, um, she was in that. Great job on that. And then she's also played a goddess in Supernatural. So Rika's been around. Rika's done some great work, and I can pretty much tell, uh, you know, her acting range. She's gonna do a great job in Star Trek: The Discovery. So I'm just glad that the people that are being cast, um, uh, Rika on her Twitter, she seems very excited to take on this role. I'm excited for her. And, uh, just tune in, guys. Everything's looking great. We also been kind of getting this rumor that Star Trek Discovery's been delayed once again. I'm not sure if that's true or not. I'm, I'm getting messages that, uh, it's not true, that the sources this is coming from is not accurate. So I have to look more in depth to that. But it's, you know, I have— I haven't seen anything solid or concrete, uh, you know, regarding that as of yet. But anyway, guys, I just thought I'd bring you guys that information. Um, if you like content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe. Uh, don't forget to watch my video on Star Trek Continues. And until next time, guys, take care.
