In this video, the host reviews the newly revealed Star Trek Discovery uniforms, noting their high‑collar, shoulder‑band design and suggesting they may be a formal or dress uniform, possibly used for a commissioning ceremony. He draws visual parallels to the 2009 reboot and Star Trek Into Darkness uniforms, despite Discovery being set in an alternate timeline, and speculates that the day‑to‑day uniforms could resemble those seen in Star Trek Beyond. The host also mentions a glimpse of a Klingon costume in the latest trailer, wondering if it will echo the reboot’s Klingon design. He acknowledges the controversy surrounding Discovery but expresses strong optimism, predicting it could become one of the best Star Trek series. The video ends with a typical call to like, subscribe, and share.

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. And today we'd like to talk about the new uniforms that have been— we've got a glimpse at from the Star Trek Discovery show, the new one scheduled to air this year in May on CBS All Access. And looking at this uniform that they revealed I like it. Um, it does remind me a lot of the, the timeline of the reboots that start in 2009, although this show isn't supposed to be in that timeline. It's supposed to be in an alternate timeline. But if we look back on the reboots, if we look at the The first one in 2009, uh, the uniforms they were wearing looked very similar to this. And also in, um, the ones they wore in Star Trek Into Darkness, uh, uniforms looked— although not the same color, they had a very similar look. Um, another thing I find interesting is that Um, these uniforms, they have that high collar thing going on, then they have these, um, these bands around the, uh, shoulder. And usually when, um, when you see, um, uh, features like that in the Star Trek series, that's usually some type of formal uniform or some type of dress uniform or some type of, uh different class uniform than the normal BDUs that they probably wear throughout their normal, uh, opera, you know, operating day. Uh, so I think it might be some type of dress uniform. Maybe it could be a commissioning ceremony for the ship they're going to be cruising, cruising in. But, uh, so far I like it. I like that it's similar to the, the reboots, because I, I thought those— they did a great job with those uniforms. Although, uh, I would have, uh, I would have been fine if they would have even used the original series uniforms. Although we still don't know exactly what, uh, not 100% sure when this is going to take place exactly. I've heard things like it's supposed to happen about 10 years before Kirk, so it's, it's going into the past design of the uniforms. And I think they're going for the uniforms, you know, to look, you know, more close to like it would be the original set of uniforms or something like that. But yeah, it looks great. I like what they're doing with it. Also, it was brought to my attention, or I kind of stumbled upon this online, that these uniforms, you know, although this obviously to me looks like the formal, I could see that the regular day-to-day operations uniform, um, I could see it looking kind of similar to what we saw in Star Trek Beyond. And let me try to get an image of that up to see if I can show you guys exactly what I'm talking about. Uh, you know, in the scene where they— to, um, here it is right here, actually. Let me let you get a look at that. You know, and although this is part of the, uh, Star Trek reboot timeline, you're the, um, USS Kelvin timeline, um, you know, I could see this kind of being their normal day-to-day uniforms, and the other uniform that we saw, uh, you know, in the, in the latest trailer, I could see that being their dress uniform or their more formal uniform. But anyway, guys, I really like it. I, I, so far I like how the uniform looks. Um, we did also get in that latest trailer some of the things going on with some of the set design, and I think we actually got what looked like a Klingon uniform. Um, you know, that's it, kind of, you know, looks something like that. Don't know what the Klingons are gonna look like. I'm wondering if they might look like the Klingons that we saw in Star Trek Into Darkness. But anyway, guys, um, I'm kind of happy with what I'm seeing so far. I know it's been a lot of controversy around the show, people saying that it's gonna suck. And I've been on the opposing end of that. I believe that it's going to be probably, if not the best, one of the best, you know, Star Trek series they've produced. I think it's going to be a lot better than the ones we've seen on TV. And I'm going to stick to that with very little to go on at this point, you know. But you can watch my other videos on why I think it's going to probably end up being one of the best Star Trek series we've seen up to this point. But anyway, guys, um, if you like, uh, content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe and share. Share this across social media. Anyway, guys, till next time, take care.
