Starting A Cryptocurrency? Probably Need This! - DMC VS Coinmarketcap

Launching a cryptocurrency is easy technically, but getting listed on platforms like CoinMarketCap is expensive and gatekept. A new decentralized listing service lets any token get visibility by holding the platform token, with optional paid placement for top-20 spots.

Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And guys, I hope you're having a fantastic weekend. So as you can tell by the title of the video, today we want to talk about those adventurous people, those adventurous ones that wish to start their own cryptocurrency, uh, and we're going to talk about some services that you probably will need in that. Now there are many reasons people might want to start a cryptocurrency. They can range anything from they might have some business where they want to tokenize, uh, it could be physical assets, it could be real estate, uh, it could be stocks, uh, it could be a fundraising campaign where you want to do some project and award, uh, people who support your, your, your campaign, um, in some way. And so you use these tokens to distribute them to them. And it could be something as crazy and silly as just it being a complete joke, right? And some people might say, well, that's kind of silly, but I would remind some in the cryptocurrency space that that is exactly what Dogecoin did. And Dogecoin is a pillar in the cryptocurrency community. It is a very strong coin, well robust, Well done, coin. And the unfortunate thing is the creator of Dogecoin, in this being a joke, he wasn't able to quite capitalize or really even make any money off of it because it was done as a joke. And so be careful starting your own cryptocurrencies out there. But what comes up also in starting your own cryptocurrency is quite a bit is anybody can do it. Oh, anybody can just go on here and they can start their own cryptocurrency on some Ethereum platform, favorite, the Waves platform. I think it's the easiest. And this video won't be about how to do it. We'll leave some links in the description. We've done tutorials about how to start a cryptocurrency in like under 1 minute. What we're going to talk about in this video, resources you're going to need after you do that, that we think are going to be very important and necessary. So of course, the biggest problem would be after you've created the technical aspects of your own cryptocurrency, um, and set up all of the, um, the user interfaces and the variety of things you're going to need, uh, would be how are people going to know about this token? Like, are you going to market it to people? How are you going to do that? And what are the best ways to do that? Because you're going to be this kind of, uh, uh unknown coin out there that's trying to present a product to people, and, uh, that's going to require probably that you need marketing skills. It's going to require that you need a team. And so pretty soon you're going to start to see where, ah, this is a little bit more complicated than originally thought. So let's talk about some of the things you're going to need. So What tends to happen when a lot of cryptocurrencies get created, people start to learn about them and want to know more information about them. There are usually hubs they can go to to seek out data and information on them. Um, and, uh, such one of the, the most, uh, well-known is CoinMarketCap. Um, and, uh, you can find just about every token on there, its value and its price. Now that sounds great. In theory, but a lot of people who start their own cryptocurrency soon get a rude awakening that being part of these listing services is yet another huge hurdle to jump through because many of them require that you're already listed on several exchanges, right? At least two. They may require money, in some cases large amounts of money, and it can be a very a hurdle, a barrier for a lot of people who are starting cryptocurrency through this method. Um, and so what we've proposed, or one product that we have created that is now available, a resource we think that will be very helpful, is what we call the decentralized token market cap listings. right? And so, um, basically how this works is if you're a decentralized token like many are, uh, and this is also very interesting, there are many decentralized tokens that don't appear on CoinMarketCap that are million-dollar tokens because they don't, uh, fit the parameters of being on centralized exchanges, being approved by these kind of centralized hubs. And that's kind of a problem because there have been many dangers with centralized exchange over the, uh, over the course of the year, uh, with them being hacked. Some people don't use them. Some people don't use them at all. Some people just use decentralized exchanges. And being that decentralized exchanges are now becoming the way of the future, right? Decentralized exchanges, uh, are basically going to be where many of the cryptocurrency space, we believe, ends up, then you would probably want a listing service for decentralized tokens, right? Um, you know, now again, uh, unless the parameters with many other of these services are changed to include many of these decentralized exchanges or decentralized tokens they won't be able to be listed on them. And that's a, that's a huge problem, I think. I, I don't think that the right to be able to not only start your own cryptocurrency but it be listed, uh, alongside with every other token, uh, that is a decentralized token, uh, together. I, I think that that is more about what decentralization is about and not someone being able to go, well, you don't meet this, you don't meet that, thus you you're not included. No, I, I think they should all be listed, right? Um, and, uh, some arguments that come up is, oh well, if you, uh, list a bunch of crappy coins, uh, you know, then that's going to be dangerous to new people. And but I think the data more so suggests that people who start a cryptocurrency and, uh, don't you know, have a lot of volume and is pretty much an unknown coin that hasn't really demonstrated, um, uh, itself to be a good part of the cryptocurrency community, that, you know, I, I haven't heard many cases of people being scammed by these tokens. I think it more so is that cryptocurrencies that do have the backing of some centralized exchange or trusted person in the community. Oftentimes they are the ones that are more successful at pulling this off than just some unknown token somewhere that people are probably going to trade in that manner. Also, the flip side to that is there are decentralized tokens that are really good that won't meet the listing requirements of CoinMarketCap, and they are million-dollar tokens but aren't listed on CoinMarketCap. So I find all that very interesting. But what we're offering here with the decentralized token market listing, uh, service here is a way to put your tokens, have them listed here. Anybody can list with our service. All you need to do is hold or, um, um have one of our tokens to trade to get listed, right? So as long as you have one of our tokens, uh, you're able to, um, spend that token and be listed. Cool thing about it as well, um, is that, uh, right, you can earn our tokens for free, so you don't have to buy them. Uh, we have a social network you can come on and you're able to get tokens for free, and it's very easy to get. One token to be listed. Now, of course, we will have some specialty services with this, and that will range from positioning, right? Now, of course, our, our top 20 will work a little bit different. Our top 20 won't just go by, uh, you know, the, uh, market capitalization, uh, it will— you will be able to bid on the top 20 spots in our tokens, right? And instead of us you know, charging you or making you jump through all these hoops. You'll be able to do that. But where I think this creates a better situation for new cryptocurrencies and even established ones that are decentralized and don't trade with these centralized exchanges, you know, I think that it'll work very well for them because it would only cost them one token to get on and they will be listed with this group. But the top 20 will be this, uh, type of bidding service, right? Where you pay, like, maybe the top 20 spot we're looking at will be like 100 of our BTM, uh, BTCM tokens, which are about, uh, right now they're under a dollar, uh, they trading the under a dollar range. So not a lot of money, uh, but now say if you, you, you wanted a top 20 spot Uh, you probably bid like 35 of the tokens, right? Or, um, I'm sorry, 100 of those will probably be starting around like $35 or something like that, and you'll get it that way. And it'll, it'll be almost like you're able to like marketing and advertise. You can hold that spot for maybe 30 days or so, and we're going to have more details about it going forward. But, um, we are, uh, excited. We think this will help a lot of new cryptocurrency startups initially. But more importantly, I think it will bring back the element of decentralization to this space, not only just in what we deal with, with centralized exchanges, but it looks like now the listing services as well. And so I think this is a good thing for the cryptocurrency space. But that's all I wanted to say in this video.
