Steem - Onboarding - BtcMyk Token Receival

In this video Michael Joseph Presley explains how the BitcoinMYK project uses the Steem blockchain for mass adoption and outlines the current onboarding challenges caused by the temporary shutdown of the Freedom Exchange. He details why Steem is chosen—its free‑transaction model via resource credits, built‑in inflation‑driven rewards, interoperability of wallets and applications, and transparent account tracking. With Freedom Exchange offline, new users who lack a Steem account cannot receive or trade tokens through the usual route. Presley presents a temporary solution: users can obtain BtcMyk tokens on the Waves exchange, use a Waves wallet to receive and trade them for Steam value, and then move that value within the Steam ecosystem. He also mentions the project's broader bridge functionality, allowing token movement across multiple blockchains (Waves, upcoming Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, EOS) while preserving token supply parity. To ease onboarding, the team is offering 100 free Steem accounts (details in the video description) and provides links to the Waves wallet app. He emphasizes that this measure is short‑term until the Freedom Exchange is restored, after which token migration will be smoother. Finally, he directs viewers to the project website and support email for assistance, noting limited presence in public chat rooms, and ends with a call to like, subscribe, and stay engaged.

Welcome back to the channel, and I hope you're having a great day. So this is a very important video. This has to do with onboarding on the Steem blockchain. Many of you all who use the BitcoinNYK product know that we're all about mass adoption using the Steem blockchain. So to kind of understand this, some of you have had many questions, and we've had some issues as of late with the Freedom Exchange. They're in the— they're doing some work on the Freedom Exchange right now, so it's temporarily down. And some people who don't have Steam accounts that have come into our project haven't been able to get their tokens because they can't use the Freedom Exchange. So we got some good news today about that. We got some good news on how to get a Steam account wallet free without that problem. We got some details about why we take this route and to try to very, very much clarify to some people who don't know what issues we run into with this. So first you have to understand a few things: why we use the Steem blockchain and why it's so difficult to get an account. So the first part is The Steem blockchain has many special features that are going to serve us into our future. Basically, essentially, they have something like what you might call free transactions. They use something called resource credits, but it pays for all your transactions basically, and everybody gets them. So you can, you can move money anywhere in the world essentially free. So that's, that's very important to us. And we need that function and that feature. Now, unfortunately, the problem is there's nothing really free in the world. So with the Steem blockchain, when you get a Steem account, what you're actually getting is you're getting free money, right? You're essentially getting free money. You can send out free money, and it's constant free money because it works on a type of inflation, a type of rewards pool that is constantly supplying you with the ability to give money not only to yourself, but to other people. And so, uh, you know, obviously they can't just have everybody come in and get this free money, right? That's why we tell you on this channel, if you haven't joined our projects, if you haven't joined yet, you're really doing yourself a disservice because, uh, this is free money. This is in your best interest. So to avoid that, even if you don't quite understand that, best to get involved with it, try to understand it as you go. Um, but those are some of the reasons we want to use the Steem blockchain. The free transactions. Also, the next thing is interoperability, right? They have applications for just about everything. So if you contrast that to other blockchains, um, what would have to happen is you would have to then move over from one blockchain to another, sign into, uh, more accounts, uh, manage your portfolio and your wallet from these different blockchains. With the Steem blockchain, all of these wallets and all of these applications are interconnected, so there's a great sense of interoperability, right? And in this interoperability, there are many advantages. Of course, I can move now from application to application. I can move my money from application to application, right? Because all the Steem— all of these Steem wallets are integrated together. They're also transparent wallets to a great degree, so we know who's doing what. We know who's abusing the system or not. And those are very important features to the success of a blockchain, right? So with the Freedom Exchange down— now, to understand what the Freedom Exchange is, the Freedom Exchange is basically, uh, set up more like an exchange, a way to exchange your value of your, uh, of your, uh, Steam, um, your Steam coins basically, or basically receive altcoins that could be traded against or exchanged against into Steam. And what it does is when you set up an account with the Freedom Exchange, you do not need a wallet on Steam. You do not need a Steam account. What happens is you can still receive our value and our tokens, and you can still trade it in and out of Steam, right? And you can move Steam value, so you can still be using our products until you either get your Steam account, which you We'll have instructions to where you can go ahead and apply to that. And maybe after a week or two you get them, or you could just simply take the Steam you've earned from using our products and purchase the Steam Wallet. Uh, however it goes, you basically through this process end up with your Steam Wallet and value from day one. You don't have to wait. So that's the entire point to this. We want people to have a good user experience. We want you to come in and be involved at day one. We don't want you to have to go off 2, 3 weeks, uh, you forget, uh, what you signed up for, you forget your password, you don't ever even come back. We do not want that. We don't think that's a good experience. So this is our way to work around it. So with the Freedom Exchange down, uh, to understand our project, we initially start off as a bridge cryptocurrency. Now we still have that function and feature available, which basically means You can move our token from several to several blockchains, and right now you can move it from the Waves exchange to the Steem exchange. We're going to be doing Ethereum, we're going to be doing Bitcoin Cash, we're going to be probably doing EOS at some point. But even though we have that ability, we haven't talked about it much more lately because with the Steem blockchain, we feel we have everything we need. Right, and what happens is you don't lose value in the token. It doesn't dilute the token. Everybody across every blockchain has the same amount of tokens, right? It's the same amount of tokens on every exchange under the Bitcoin MYK product. Uh, excuse me guys, I'm trying to find a way to turn off these notifications. I thought I did, but apparently something's going crazy with my device, so, so just bear with me and forgive me for that. But anyway, uh, That's why we do that. Now our focus again is not on being a bridge cryptocurrency anymore, universal cryptocurrency, but we do feel it's important, uh, right now to kind of use some of those functions to onboard people. Again, we don't want to turn a million people away at the door. That's not how we feel is a good marketing way for— we don't want to do that, so we're not going to do that. So the option we have available now is the same one we had in the beginning. before we integrated with the Freedom Exchange. Now what happens is if you're a new user and you don't have a Steam account, you can still participate, earn our cryptocurrency through the Waves Exchange, right, through the Waves, uh, wallet. You'll receive these tokens and what you could do, you could trade them for Steam, uh, you can trade them on our, or you can move them through the value through our platform and you'll be able to still, uh, game your Steam to get your free wallets on Steam blockchain. right? And again, the website will walk you through how to do that. Uh, you can contact us on the website and we'll explain those details, uh, in more great detail. But the very basic core understanding of this is that you're gonna receive these tokens on this exchange, uh, that you're gonna be able to, uh, trade your STEAM value for. And then you're gonna be able to, uh, uh, move that value throughout the STEAM ecosystem, which is our ultimate goal, right? We feel we can accomplish everything on the STEAM blockchain, and that's where we want to be. So this is pretty much just a temporary measure for us, for new users, for new account holders, so they can participate, uh, and not just be in limbo waiting, uh, not feel like they got to be in some kind of special club or niche market. Uh, we don't believe that that is a good direction for it. We don't believe that's going to work well, uh, and so we don't want to turn people away at the door, uh, with that problem. So we're not going to, but there's a Pretty cool, um, user interface. It could be on your device. It also has a desktop version. We're going to leave details in the description. Many of you already probably have a Waves wallet or know how the Waves blockchain works, so you won't have a problem with this. If you're new, it's very simple. It's as simple as signing up for a Facebook account, so you won't have a problem with it at all. You can use a desktop again or a mobile device, an online client or a mobile client. It's on the Google Play Store, so you can get it quite easily. We'll leave a link in the description. And this is just temporary. When the Freedom Exchange comes back up, we'll have that option back available for new users. But because the Freedom Exchange is doing a lot of development work right now, we don't have a timeframe on that. So we're not gonna hold people up. We're gonna let them do their job, do a good job, make their platform right, and we can go back to them because it's gonna be a lot easier with the Freedom Exchange to move your BitcoinMYK tokens over to the Steam Engine Marketplace, right? They're integrated together. So that's why it'll be a lot easier than trying to move it from Waves, right, where we'll have to process that manually now. And so that's kind of a problem, but it is a necessary problem to get people on the site, get people comfortable with the site, and we'll keep our users' expansions moving in the direction we'd like it to move in. So, um, yeah, that's pretty much all I want to bring you. We're gonna leave a link in the description to get a Steam account because you get a free Steam account, that's gonna cut through a lot of the issues immediately. There are 100 up for grabs right now, so go ahead and get you one. We don't know how long those 100 accounts are gonna last. We're gonna put the link in description, but there are other programs that are creating these accounts free. Remember, the reason that they're a problem is because they are free money, it's free value that you control through this rewards pool. So they can't just hand them out, you know, like hotcakes. But we do have methods to get you there where it's less problematic for you. And it's a very quite smooth transition. And that's what we're creating now for you all. So I think that's all I wanna say in the video. Uh, if you have any questions, again, come over to the website. Uh, it is probably best to use our email that's on the website to, to, uh, to mail in to support. We can get to you quicker because a lot of people leave, uh, information in the public chat rooms and we don't spend a whole lot of time in our public chat rooms, uh, you know, these days. However, we do come across them sometimes. If we're there, we can address it live, but sometimes we're many different places, and sometimes maybe the community can help you, sometimes they can't or they're not available, but you can always email us or you can leave comments on videos like these and we'll be able to address you, uh, as quickly as possible. But that's all I want to say in this video. If you like content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe, and until next time, take care.
