Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And guys, today what was on my mind was advertising with the Steemit network. And I know it's kind of come over some various controversy about, you know, should Steemit even consider advertising? Is it going in the direction of advertising? Does it even need advertising? And, uh, you know, just looking at the way many other social networks have went, uh, you know, advertising has pretty much been a given. And, uh, I'm not, you know, I'm not saying that Steemit necessarily should advertise, uh, you know, at this point or in the future, but I, I guess what I'm saying is I wouldn't see any downside to advertising with a setup like Steemit. You know, I would imagine that when people would post on their particular pages and blog posts, you know, I would imagine that, you know, it would be easy to have ads appear, you know, on the actual pages. And, you know, some people feel that You know, if Steemit were to start to do various blog posts and do various advertising and things like that, that it may turn people off from using the, you know, Steemit. But I don't think that would necessarily be the case. I kind of see that it would add to the value and the overall health of Steemit. To, you know, have those— another revenue source coming in and, you know, make it a lot more stable. I think another issue that comes up with advertising quite a bit is when advertisers, you know, try to exercise certain control, you know, similar to what happened with YouTube and when advertisers would pull out and YouTube would need those advertisers to stay afloat. But the reason I don't believe that would be an issue is just because of the way that Steemit is set up. I mean, Steemit is pretty much set up to be self-sufficient without advertising anyway. I think only thing advertising would do from the outside, when people come in advertising various things like that, I think the only thing that would do would be to cause our, you know, the network to even be more healthier, just require that the advertisers purchase advertising in Steam Dollars, you know. And as they purchase it, as they buy Steam Dollars, that boosts the value of Steam, you know, up. And so as they're buying in Steam Dollars, that money's going back, you know, into the Steam economy and going back into the rewards pool. So I don't see any, you know, issue that advertising would create. I don't— I think, you know, as long as Steemit users understand that it contributes to the overall health and stability and growth of the system and pulling more, you know, pushing more money into the system, you know, besides just the users, I think that that would create a you know, a healthier situation for Steamit. You know, that's just my thoughts on the advertising, but let me know what you all think, guys. Let me know if you think advertising is a good idea or if they're just waiting to, you know, maybe get more end users. You know, I think now it's over 260,000 users to Steamit. You know, I don't, you know, I don't, you know, me personally, I think No, there's no time better than the present to start with advertising. But, uh, you know, just let me all know what you all, how you all feel about advertising. Does it really bother you? Do you see it as, you know, more so contributing to the health of the, of the system? You know, even if we did get advertisers coming in from various places and they, and they threatened to pull the plug, would it really matter seeing that Steemit functions seemingly okay without them anyway. Anyway, guys, you know, give me your thoughts on it. Don't forget to like, subscribe if you're watching this on YouTube, and don't forget to upvote if you're on Steemit. Take care, guys.
