Welcome back to the channel, guys. I hope you're having a great afternoon— evening, rather. Uh, darn ads. Um, so today we want to talk about— we want to talk about, um, Smallville sequel series, animated series, uh, season 11, right? It'll be a sequel to the Smallville, um, a television show, but it will be an animated series. And this is kind of update on that because Smallville had been— I'm sorry, Michael Rosenbaum, Tom Welling had wanted to do this for maybe over 4 or 5 years now. So this is something that they've been pushing to do. But of course, with all of the developments and different things going on, uh, Warner Brothers, uh, this new Superman that came out, this, this whole new direction under James Gunn and such, uh, although James Gunn, uh, which I, I hope is a plus, uh, like best friends with, uh, Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor, uh, like best friends with him in real life And certainly interested in doing Elseworld, uh, uh, Superman stories, right? Uh, DC stories. Uh, another plus about James Gunn is James Gunn seems to not be shy about, uh, hiring familiar people that's worked with him before, people who are connected with them. Doesn't— he doesn't seem to have a problem with casting them or putting, you know, putting, putting them in a show from what I hear and what I can partially see. Um, and so recently there was a Comic-Con done, uh, as I understand it, um, it was done in Liverpool, England, and Michael Rosenbaum said that he had already pitched the art, uh, the artwork of, you know, what this— what the show is going to be about. So obviously they already got the story right, they got the story going. Alan Miles, right? The same people who were involved with the original show, they're going to be, you know, basically involved with the show. This is talking about Superman Season 11 on CBR.com website. Very good comic book, right? Now, unfortunately, I'm not— I've been trying to find out who's behind this, who's done it. Is this a fandom comic book? Is this an official comic book? And I've seen it, uh, read and done on YouTube, and unfortunately, I don't— I can't find out if it's official or not, right? I haven't been able to. But I could tell you that it's a very good story, well written, and, um, So, um, the, uh, the powers that are behind Smallville, you know, people that, uh, you know, create the show, Alan Miles and such, uh, these guys are very good at doing shows. They of course did the best episodes on Smallville. And, um, and I think Alan, Alan Miles Uh, I thought that they— I thought it was one guy. I think it's two guys, right? I'm not, I'm not 100% sure. They've actually been on, uh, the TalkView show, right? Part of the, the show that Michael Rosenbaum does with Tom Welling. Um, and, uh, they're, they're also responsible for Wednesday, right? The Addams Family Wednesday show. Uh, you know, which did very well. So these guys are, you know, when it comes to TV shows, they— these guys know what they're doing. They always strike gold, right, with these shows, right? Uh, and so, you know, you know, obviously they're busy. Obviously what James Gunn got going on with the Superman over, uh, in the DC, uh, the— this— this DC Universe Um, you know, uh, it's going to be quite an obstacle or hurdle. But the good news is that not only is, you know, Alan Miles on, you know, on board, the, the, all the original people, uh, it looks like a lot of the, uh, cast members, the original cast people, are gonna come back and voice, you know, over, do the voiceovers to the animated series. Now there's just a few other things I, I like to, you know, bring up about, um, the Smallville show, uh, you know, it being an animated series. So we've seen some awesome animated type stuff done. We've seen Marvel What If series, which I think is good animation. I think I would like to see them do something in that scope. Uh, we've seen like the Watchmen movies. I like that animation. Uh, uh, you know, some of the Justice League, uh, stuff I've liked. Uh, but also we're in such a sophisticated age, right? Because a lot of people still would have loved to seen a sequel of live action, right, as such. But we're, we're in such an advanced world right now. We've seen these Sora videos, right? Uh, I would— they recreate people, they can bring back— we've seen the Michael Jackson videos, we've seen all this stuff. What I would love to happen is I would love for them to do like a type of live-action, uh, video recreated type thing. I would have loved to see that, but I'm okay with the animated series as well. I just hope they have— they use like the really, you know, really good animation. I hope they use something like that What If, uh, animation that we, we get from Marvel and stuff like that. Uh, Michael Rosenbaum did actually mention, um, you know, I think the artist he had in mind who He wants to do the artwork and he sounds excited about it. I'm not familiar with this person. I don't know what their style's like. If you guys know who he's using and who he's talking about, please leave information in the comment section and, you know, voice information— I'm sorry, links and stuff to this person's artwork. I'd like to see it. Um, but, uh, yeah, so, so part of hold up right now is they're looking for the right time to do this again. There is so much stuff going on with Warner Brothers. They're trying to sell it. Rumors that the SnyderVerse is trying to come back. Uh, rumors that, uh, you know, James Gunn might not be around. Uh, what happens then? Uh, you know, would they want to still do something with. Smallville, of course, with all these potential Supermans, uh, the concern of, you know, does that create problems at the box office and things like that at the, you know, at big screen. Um, so you got all those things. Of course, it doesn't seem to impact Batman at all, right? You can have all these different Batmans going on at once and there not be a problem. But what I'd also like to say about is specifically with what we have now, the Gunn-verse, which I'm a fan of, but James Gunn has already talked about various animated series. He's spoken about what would be Elseworld stories, right? You know, in their own perspective universes. And with the Peacemaker series, right? It creates a great opportunity uh, for where Smallville could lie. Because remember, they, they're, they're already— they start off right away, uh, in the Superman universe dealing with, uh, parallel dimensions and other universes and such, where there are versions of different Supermans, Batmans, etc. So you could, you could see any of these people pop up, and it wouldn't disturb the current timeline, right? Because, you know, they exist in their own universes and they can just kind of go away there. And so Smallville, much like we saw in the Crisis on Earth, what they did in the kind of Arrowverse, you know, I guess you could say, we got to see Brandon Routh's Superman. You know, you got to kind of give it to these guys. For the ambition, uh, that they had with the Arrowverse. And I was reading something from someone who was saying that the version of Green Lantern on Smallville, uh, was the best Green Lantern. And the only thing I can say is that, uh, uh, obviously by seeing Oliver Queen first play out in Smallville, uh, I was rooting for um, that version of Oliver Queen to get the Arrow show. But after I saw what they did with the Arrow they got in the Arrowverse, that kind of serious tone they took, it was a totally different tone from, uh, Smallville. It kind of felt like a kind of Batman-ish, you know, uh, you know, theme, maybe a lot great deal less comic booky. Uh, I, I kind of did like that, at least for the first few seasons, right? But, uh, what they did with that Arrowverse stuff and, uh, how they was able to bring back Brandon Routh, who I love— this Superman, still one of my favorite Supermans, Brandon Routh Superman— uh, they had him in there, and then they brought in, uh, you know, of course Tom Welling, Smallville Superman. And I just thought that was well done, uh, and bravo to them for being able to get Tom Welling back. And, uh, you know, Michael Rosenbaum didn't play ball, right, for whatever reason. You know, uh, I'm sure he had his good reasons. A lot of people would love to see him, you know, make an appearance there. But he said something to the effect of his scheduling was— I don't know what else, what Michael Rosenbaum was doing. Like, I haven't seen him in TV shows or movies, but he apparently, he couldn't schedule it right. And that's what he said. I don't know if I buy that. Uh, you know, of course Michael left the show early with his contracts. He talked about problems he had and the lack of appreciation with these shows, right, and how he was treated and such. So, you know, you have to kind of understand that and so on. But anyway, guys, um, tell me all what you think. Uh, Smallville, uh, it seems like it's definitely going to be a go animated series. I would be, uh, happy to see that. Um, You know, um, I recently did a video about Allison Mack, and I was talking about how I would like for her to be in the show. Now, a lot of people probably don't agree with that. They, you know, they feel like she shouldn't be rewarded, especially with, uh, the seriousness of the, uh, harm she's done to people, right? Being part of the cult she was in. And I can understand that, um, I certainly can understand that, um, you know, but she is on the road to reform and redemption, and then hopefully, um, you know, uh, you know, she can get on and move on with that. But feel free to watch that video if you like, um, uh, that we just recently did. Uh, but anyways, um, I think that's all I want to say about the Smallville animated series. Tell me all what kind of artwork you'd like to see in the series. Uh, anything in mind in particular? Would you like to just see an AI-created version of it? I love that too. That kind of still counts as animated, right? I've seen some great fan stuff done. It looks good. But that's all I want to say, guys. If you like content like this, don't forget to like, subscribe.
