In this YouTube commentary, the host confirms that Supergirl, portrayed by Millie Alcock, will appear in the upcoming July‑release Superman movie, citing GamesRadar as the source. The video outlines a potential roster of cameo characters—including Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, Metamorpho, Mr. Terrific, and others—while speculating that the film’s runtime will be under two and a half hours, implying many will be brief appearances. The host praises James Gunn’s likely comic‑book‑heavy, Guardians‑style approach, contrasting it with the traditionally grounded Superman origin films and arguing that a more fantastical, hero‑filled setting could revitalize the franchise. The commentator highlights Alcock’s acting credentials from House of the Dragon and anticipates depth for Supergirl, possibly leading to a solo movie that explores darker, vengeance‑driven storylines. The video also critiques the repetitive nature of past Superman reboots, urging narrative progression beyond the familiar Lex Luthor‑Lois Lane dynamic. While expressing reservations about Nicholas Hoult’s casting as Lex Luthor, the host notes that multiple villains (potentially including Brainiac) could share screen time, which would be acceptable if it moves the story forward. The video concludes by inviting viewers to share their thoughts on the crowded hero lineup and the franchise’s direction.

Guys, welcome back to the channel. I hope you're having a great day. So it is confirmed now that Supergirl will appear in Superman coming out in July. So we weren't certain before. There were rumors that Millie Alcock would be in the movie. They had, uh, believed to have seen an image of her through the head of Superman's robot at the Fortress of Solitude, but it wasn't confirmed, although some of us suspected that she would be in the film. Right, so I think it's a good idea to have her in the film, especially with her movie's gonna come out less than a year, uh, later. And we're getting— of course, this information's coming from GamesRadar. GamesRadar. Now, the House of the Dragon star Millie Alcock. If you've seen her in House of the Dragon, you know she's a terrific actor, um, and I think she's gonna do an excellent job. Now to consider, you got Supergirl, you got Hawkgirl, uh, you got a lot of people, uh, okay, you got Lex Luthor, Metamorpho, Mr. Terrific, The Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, right? So, um, it's gonna be a lot of superheroes in this, um, in the Superman movie, right? And you— and it's— I don't think it's— I don't think it's 2 and a half hours. I think it's not— it's under 2 and a half hours. So then you're thinking, um, that's a lot of people, right? So I'm assuming many of these are going to be cameos. And some people are concerned about the sheer number of people, uh, who will be in the film, but I'm not. And I'm going to tell you why I think this can work. Number one, we've never seen a Superman film like this before, right? And I'm a big fan of when something seems— so when a formula doesn't seem to be working, I'm a big fan of switching things up and just bringing something different totally different to the scene. Because, uh, let's look at all the Superman movies. They've all been, uh, kind of the same. It's Superman, it's origin story, it's fighting Lex Luthor, right? Uh, but we've never seen a Superman film where it's— he's just kind of in a world full of metahumans, you know. He's, uh, full of other heroes Uh, you know, where, um, you know, this whole depiction of world that James Gunn building, uh, I, I think the— how it start, how, how it's— how we just arrive at everything like that is more ideal because we've not only— we've seen the story told so many different, uh, different ways, right? Um, it's going to be interesting for a different approach where Superman isn't so grounded, right? You know, because even if we look back at the Donner films, to a great degree Superman was kind of grounded into the real world, so to speak. Um, and with James Gunn, it, it's going to be more into the comic book world, but it's going to be done on that Guardians of the Galaxy level where, you know, they can go out to these strange different worlds, and they can have, um, a, a very interesting experience out there. But you can still be invested in the characters, whatever they are, whether they're raccoons or trees, right? It doesn't really matter. And I think James Gunn is going to bring, um, that aspect to what would be a complexity of trying to ground a comic book movie into reality, right? And that gets more difficult depending on what characters you're dealing with. The more characters you get in as you go, the harder it gets. So that's how come I'm more open to this approach. I'm open to it because it's just so different, right? It's so different. It's interesting. It's fantastical. Right? And, and you're drawn into it to see what's coming next, right? And that's something that we don't really get in superhero films much anymore, right? So it will be interesting to, to see this, right? But I think Millie Alcock, she's just a really good actress, so I think she's going to be able to bring, you know, that, that element that she did, you know, that element she brought on House of the Dragon, right? I think she's gonna be able to bring that, that element here, right, that deep into that deep characterization of her, because I don't think James Gunn is gonna waste that, right? I think he's gonna have her dig into that a little bit. So that's going to be all interesting to, to see. So, uh, I'm, I'm all bored, I'm all on board for I'm going to be very much so interested in seeing her in her own movie, right? Because if you saw my last video about Supergirl, I spoke a great degree about how they'll be following the Girl of Tomorrow comic books, right? Where she's kind of a more dark character and she's— it's kind of like a vengeance story. Right? And, um, and so I think it's gonna be a lot of depth to her going into her own movie like that. I think, I think her characters— it's gonna be a lot of depth to the Supergirl character in general, right? So it's gonna be all interesting to watch. Again, I'm on board for it. Um, tell me guys, uh, what you think. Do you think it's just too many heroes in the Superman movie too fast, too soon. I'm on board for it simply because I feel like we've done nothing but repeat reboot Superman movies for the last several decades, right? You know, and it's just been one comparison to the other. And I think that just throwing Superman in a world where all these people exist and he already has a relationship with them That's going to be something we've never seen before. And I do feel sometimes it's time to progress, to move on, right? I've seen, you know, we've seen Superman and Lois Lane and Lex Luthor repeat their relationships over and over again, right? And it's time to, um, to get, you know, moving on with the story. Now, even with the Lex Luthor character, uh, I mean, I've heard nothing good things about Nicholas Hoult being, um, you know, uh, playing Lex Luthor in this film and the relationship he's gonna have fighting against Superman. But to, but to be honest with you, it wouldn't have bothered me if Lex Luthor wasn't the— and he's not gonna be the only villain, right? Looks like it's gonna be many other villains, but it's gonna be villains besides Lex Luthor as we got to see. He's just, he's he's going to be in there with others. But, uh, even if they didn't have Lex Luthor, just kind of moving the story along to another villain, like whether it would have been Brainiac, something we haven't seen on the big screen yet, you know, bring that focus on him, and Superman already exists, progressing along, already has a relationship with these other heroes in this Justice League type situation, uh, I would have been fine with that. I, I'm just so ready to move that Superman story along, along from Superman origin stories and so on, right? But any— anyway, guys, tell me all what you think. I think that's all I want to say about it. And until next time, as always, take care of yourselves and each other.
