The Fantastic Four- Trailer Review

In this YouTube trailer reaction, the hosts dissect the new Fantastic Four trailer, praising its faithful 1960s comic‑book aesthetic and high‑end visual effects. They trace the evolution of comic‑book movies from early cheesy adaptations through a "Christopher Nolan" phase of grounded realism to the current era of cutting‑edge CGI that enables true comic accuracy. The discussion covers release timing—July 25, 2025, shortly after Superman Legacy—Marvel’s multiverse storytelling, and speculation about casting (notably Pedro Pascal) and character appearances such as Doctor Doom, the Silver Surfer (potentially female), and the world‑destroyer Galactus. They note set pieces like the Baxter Building and a collectible Mr. Fantastic car, compare the upcoming film to previous Fantastic Four adaptations, and express strong enthusiasm while inviting viewer interaction and subscriptions.

All right, gang, we got the Fantastic Four trailer. Let's take a look at it.
Welcome to the Baxter Building.
We make a point to do family dinner every week, Sunday at 7 on the dot. No matter what, we're all here. Herbie, how's that sauce coming? Yeah, I'll be the judge of that. Okay, okay, is this guy good or what? I want to add a couple cloves of garlic, not because it's not delicious, I just want to add a little bit of zip.
Okay, T minus 5.
Before we went up the first time, you couldn't turn invisible. Ben wasn't a rock. The best pilot in the world right here. Yeah, best looking. He And Johnny never caught fire.
Ben has always been a rock. Johnny is Johnny. Hi! And I am right here. Whatever life throws at us, we'll face it together. As a family.
Wow, talk about comic book accurate. Uh, this looks very much like it came off of the comic book when the Fantastic Four originally came out in the 1960s, right? Um, and so we seem to be getting Uh, you know, of course, with the, um, advancement in our cinema, right, um, we're getting these really good comic book accurate films. We kind of go through these phases, like, remember it was okay, it kind of started off real, uh, cheesy comic booky films, right, when they first started to adapt comic book movies to the big screen, right? They're real cheesy. And then we went through the— what I, I like to call the Christopher Nolan phase— where we wanted comic book films to, uh, um, be more grounded, realistic, right? We wanted them to translate all the way as if, uh, what would happen if these people existed in our reality. And now we're kind of back to, uh, use this cutting-edge technology we got, use the advanced technology to bring the comic book accurate movies to film. But you still have that element of character development to where, uh, in the comic book world they are relatable to us, where they are, uh we're invested in the characters and such, right? Um, and, and that's what it seems like this latest Superman Legacy movie is going to be, be like, right? It looks like it's going to be a very kind of comic booky accurate, uh, feel, more feel to it. And that's how the Fantastic Four looks. It's coming out July 25th. Wow, July is going to be a big month. Superman Legacy is coming out of July 11th. A few weeks later, we're going to get the Fantastic Four. So what do we know about the Fantastic Four so far? Well, we know it takes place in an alternate reality. Marvel has become quite good at just moving, being able to move their storylines to these alternate parallel universes, right? Which is a good, you know, I, I— it works, you know, it's been working, right? Do they play to it too much? Do I think it's— they're gonna, they're gonna go to the well too much with that? Yeah, probably, and probably already have. But I just like the look of this film so far. It's 1960s, I love— looks like that's Mr. Fantastic's car there, maybe driving. Uh, I, I, I— that's cars I'm telling you guys right now, if you're a car guy Uh, like I am, uh, people are gonna go crazy trying to get that car, recreate that car, just like they did the Batmobiles and such. And, uh, that's gonna be a highly collectible car, I think. I love that car. Um, and so it seems to be the Fantastic Four origin story, right? Looks like it, what it seems like. Um, you know, it, it, it, it, it seems like it's gonna tell that origin story, right? Something we haven't— well, there have been Fantastic Four movies and they've been terrible. Uh, the one, the last one wasn't extremely bad. Uh, I kind of like the one with the Silver Surfer, wasn't extremely bad. But, you know, it left a lot to be desired, right? Oh, I'm sorry, there was one after that that a lot of people say was terrible, the one with Michael B. Jordan. I didn't think was that bad, you know, it wasn't that bad. Uh, I think I did a review on it. It was okay, I thought it was okay. Of course, it was a grounded Fantastic Four film, right? Uh, more so grounded. That one was the more realistic version. And again, Uh, some films need to kind of stay a little bit more comic booky. Of course, the biggest event in this trailer that had me freaking out was the comic book accurate World Destroyer Galactus. Uh, they like to bring Galactus into the Fantastic Four. I, I— is that where he first appeared? It might be where Galactus first appeared. You know, there's a lot of backstory to Galactus, the World Destroyer. Remember, he eats planets, he conquers whole worlds, right? But we've never— usually, uh, uh, the— what they've chose, how they've chosen to pick Galactus on the Silver Scream and some of these other great entities, if you don't include the Celestials as more like entities than these kind of oversized humanoids, right? Of course, I think we all want to see the oversized humanoids, right? Because that's how we're familiar with them from the comics. And they see him, he's just standing on Earth, just standing in the city. I don't know how they're going to get rid of him. He might be a, uh, uh, uh, kind of post-credit-like type situation where he might be there at the end after everything's went down, right? I don't think they're going to be fighting Galactus through this film. Uh, also, what's up with Doctor Doom? Is he in this movie, right? Because he's been a key guy they fought a lot. You know, Fantastic Four's fought a lot. Fantastic Four has fought everybody, right? Um, the Black Panther first appeared in Fantastic Four's comics, right? So he— they've— a lot of people have went toe-to-toe with the Fantastic Four. I like Reed Richards, played by Pablo— uh, geez, what's his name? Uh, how can I forget his name? He was just in Gladiator 2, The Last of Us. He's been in everything, right? Uh, Prince Oberyn from Game of Thrones. He's a— um, no, Pedro— Pedro— Pedro Pascal, is it? Pedro Pascal. Right, Pedro, I think that's his name, right? He's been in everything, right? Prince Oberyn from Game of Thrones, uh, one of the most popular things. I start liking them on after I've seen them in that. Uh, you got the guy from Stranger Things, you know, we got a comic book accurate The Thing. Uh, how do I feel about that? Uh, I mean You could tell he's CGI, right? Or he looks CGI, right? He doesn't look like the guy in the costume. I think it looks okay, right? Comic book accurate costumes, I love that. I, I loved it, everything. I'm definitely gonna see this film. There's really no complaints in this film I'm seeing so far. The Baxter Building in this comic book accurate, uh, uh, trailer. It looks, um, looks like the Avengers Building, right? Doesn't look like the Avengers Building, right? Is, is that the Avengers Building in an alternate reality? Because it looks just like it. Uh, it might be a throwback because I think in the comic books, doesn't Tony Stark take over the Baxter Building? Does he use the Fantastic Four? I could be, uh, maybe I could be wrong. Uh, some of you guys in the comment section let me know. A lot of you guys are experts with the comic books. Um, I like comic books, I love the comic books, but you know, as many of you all know, uh, I didn't delve all over the comic book world. I'm very much, um, uh, loyal to specific comic books, right? And I put— invested most of my energy in them. Uh, but, um, yeah, let me know if that's the same building. It looks like it. Um, but all in all, right, um, the special effects, it looks like they're gonna be top-notch, right? Uh, it looks like a high-class production film, right? I didn't see anything wanting Uh, the Human Torch, right? You know, it definitely looks better than the depictions we've seen so far. This is, you know, coming out of 2025, right? So a lot's changed. Looks less animated. Uh, did I see the Silver Surfer in there? Was it a female Silver Surfer I saw in there? Or was that from the fan film? Uh, the fan film. So let me, let me go back and look. Did we see the— did we see the Silver Surfer in there? Am I, am I losing my— am I losing my mind here? That might have been a fan film. That looks like John Malkovich too, as well. Guys, let me know if the— because I was hearing it was going to be that it was going to be a female Silver Surfer. But I might be having a— hold on a second. I might be having a, uh, I could be having a, um, yeah, uh, Sue Storm, her powers powers. They, they look kind of like, uh, love that car. Look at that car. Yeah, that looks like John Malkovich. And there goes Galactus's head.
Wow, he's big.
Okay, I think that female Silver Surfer, I might have mistook that from a fan film. Uh, they had these fan film trailers out. But as you all know, the Silver Surfer—
we make a point to do family dinner every week.
The Silver Surfer is the herald of Galactus, right? Usually they go before Galactus to let you know that your world is going to be eaten and destroyed by Galactus, right? So anyway, it looks good, guys. Uh, that's all I think I want to say in the video, guys. Hit that subscribe button, hit that like button. If you like, um, uh, reviews like this to these trailers and, uh, the content, we very much appreciate it. Uh, that's all I think I want to say in this video. As always, take care of yourselves and each other.
