Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. And guys, today I want to talk about the Waves platform. Waves is a cryptocurrency, uh, that provides solutions for storing, trading, managing, and issuing of digital assets easily and securely. And that is a perfect explanation of what Waves is and why I think it is the best cryptocurrency out there right now, uh, for me personally. Um, Waves was started, uh, by a gentleman by the name of Sasha Ivanov. Very intelligent person, physicist. He came up with this platform, this decentralized exchange for cryptocurrencies. That's fast, that's very efficient, and, uh, the best I've used. I've really enjoyed using it. It's very user-friendly. Um, and as decentralized exchanges seem to be the way to go right now, a lot of people are switching over that from, you know, other than the main, uh, uh, or more centralized cryptocurrency exchanges. And obviously that's for safety reasons. You store your wallet, it's, you know, it's not, you know, stored by third party. Um, and, uh, you don't have the dangers of hacks and things, various things like that. So a lot of people are now using a lot of these decentralized exchanges, or DEX for short. But what's so great about the Waves platform, guys? Is the way that it's structured and put together. Um, you know, for instance, uh, the wallet and the exchange is built in, uh, and you can also create your own cryptocurrency very easily in under a minute. And I know a lot of people go, well, um, you know, that's probably not a good idea. That's very easy to create your own cryptocurrency. And in some respects, I, I do agree with that. But when you consider that the difficulty in creating your own cryptocurrency when it involves, uh, very good small startup companies, um, you know, it can stop a lot of progress in the cryptocurrency world when these coins can't get out there as well. So I, whereas I do respect a lot of concerns about it being easy for people to create these various cryptocurrencies, if you've explored around to create various coins, you'll find that it's a very difficult process. And this can hinder the advancement of very good startups that one day could change the cryptocurrency space. Similar conversations I've had with people in your standard level of business where you're dealing with a business or company or stocks. And these startup companies are attempting to get funding to start a business and they have a great idea, something that might can change the world, but they're limited by the regulations, the very strict regulations that stop a lot of progress, and these regulations are basically under the idea that is to protect investors, right? But I find it kind of weird that it's perfectly okay for me to walk in any gambling casino, perfectly all right for me to play the state lottery, lose every dime I got, But holding value in a company or a business or a cryptocurrency, they got all type of regulations where you can't engage in that, can't hold value, can't build your net worth and build assets and various things like that. So I think we have to be very careful with that conversation and consider a lot of things that go with that. But just getting back to the mechanics of the Waves platform, when it first started out, A lot of people were suggesting it may be the Ethereum killer. And some people have, you know, kind of backed off from that now and said things like, well, the Waves platform, they don't much say that much anymore. They say, you know, Ethereum has issued much too many coins. The things that Waves is doing has already been done by Ethereum. And Ethereum is trying to make, you know, changes as it goes forward. You know, has the staying power, has the branding, ranked number 2 on CoinMarketCap, where Waves peak position, you know, as it really just started this year. I believe it started, concept started about the end of 2016 of last year, but it really hasn't, didn't really, you know, get up and running until, you know, the earlier part of the year. But it did reach a peak position on CoinMarketCap of number 11. Which I thought was, uh, you know, excellent, uh, just, you know, coming out this year, not even being a year old, being a few months old. Then dropping back to— it's dropped to about number 26, which is still pretty good as it's new. And it's a— I, I see a lot of great developments with this system. It's very user-friendly, uh, and so, um, I think it can do quite well. And I, I do think the value will be going up. It quickly rose, uh, from from a few bucks to around about $16. I think it's around $14 or $15 now. So I would say that Waves is performing quite well, and I'm looking for, you know, in the future to do a lot better. And I believe that is due to the ease of use of this site. But, you know, as we talk about the differences between it and Ethereum a little bit, as that's been what a lot of conversations have been about. As we, as we talk about Ethereum, um, and similar platforms like this, which might— some comes to mind is like EtherDelta, for instance. Uh, my coin, Miko's coin, also, uh, is on EtherDelta, uh, as well as the Waves platform here. But Miko's coin over at EtherDelta is having problems, severe problems with the posts showing up on the sell side in the order book, and it's not working. But not only that, as I did a lot of research on EtherDelta and the Ethereum system, I've found that this system, as many of you all know, is a huge big system and is backed up and is very, very difficult to use, very irritating, annoying, as many of you know. And so it's such a a relief to use something like the Waves platform that, uh, I think is representative of what many of these other cryptocurrencies that have got large and overloaded, of what the technology could bring us to and what this could actually be like to just have the ease of use. But, uh, using Ethereum, uh, right now I got my, um, my coin created over there and I can't even place, uh, buy and sell orders, but Not only that, a lot of people who trade my coin, they can't even get their pages to load. So this is something that's been going on for the last 2, 3 weeks with us and got on the Waves platform. We got the coin up and running, very little time, got our Waves over, got our order books out and everything was such a breeze. It was just such a breath of fresh air to be able to do that. And just the layout of the Waves platform and system, I just think it's awesome. In my opinion, they did everything right. And although I don't give advice on cryptocurrencies, I don't, you know, I tell everybody to do their due diligence, even with my own coin, you know, Miko's Coin being a coin that is, to really be honest with you guys, Miko's Coin is set up in a way not to be a coin where people do direct investments, but that you, in a rebate-like sense, in a hedge-like sense, you're able to get Miko's Coin through things you do already online, valuable things that are done on our website that translate to our coins. And so whereas speculation is possible and we're not against it, we're just set up for that not to be necessary. We're actually trying a different model in the cryptocurrency space. So I do invite you all watching this video, get your Waves wallet through the Google Chrome browser, and you can get several of our coins free just by signing up and try it out and see if you like it. But that's how our models run. We found a way to monetize without direct speculation of money, although we know we live in a very busy time. People don't have time to oftentimes do research. They may not have time to participate in certain programs we have on our site where you can get the coin at no cost to you. But in a situation like that, then speculation is open to them. And I would say that even if you did decide to speculate our coin, that it would be a, I believe, a good idea. Deal. But again, that's not how we were set up and designed to run. So it's not really a sales pitch to so much buy our coins. You can get them for free and understand them. But if you don't have the time to trade them, then you're able to, you know, just buy them, speculate. It might be in your best interest to do that. But going back to the Waves platform in relation to our coin, we found it to be of the best use for us personally because of, you know, not only the user friendliness of it, but it also, uh, is, um, it works with your Chrome browser as an extension. And, um, I've found it to be quite reliable. I don't have any problems with it. I could never get EtherDelta to load without going through several dozen loads. And, uh, uh, you know, many of the coin users, uh, friends I spoke with about it told me the same thing. And this was just an ongoing problem with us, hard to get any technical support help, any of that. And so kind of put me at my rules in with Ethereum a little bit, you know, for right now. And for people who hold Ethereum, I'm not saying that it won't improve in the future, and I'm not saying that Waves will be the Ethereum killer, but I do think Waves will be a very good performing coin and that it will drop when people who really use Ethereum try this and just see how better, in my opinion, and how much hassle-free this coin and platform is. And the creator, Sasha Ivanov, I think he's a genius. I thank him for creating this so that I can try to get my coin out there and try to, you know, make it easier for people to get into cryptocurrency trading because that's been one very difficult thing I found. As I myself didn't know much about cryptocurrencies, I came in and learned, I had to learn a lot the hard way on my own doing a lot of studying and research. But then I came to the revelation that it would be a good idea if it was an easier way to transition, uh, into cryptocurrency, especially for people who don't know much about it but hear the buzz about it. Here is something they need to include in their portfolios, and this would be a very easy transition for them to make. So Miko's Coin tries to do that, uh, you know, by allowing them to monetize activities they already do online in a very simple process get our coins, trade them over on the Waves platform. Uh, and you're looking here on the screen, you're actually looking at the Waves DEX, or the Waves decentralized exchange. Very good layout. Um, and, um, uh, you can buy anything you want here. But, but in addition to that, you know, unlike some, um, exchanges like, uh, Bittrex, you can actually, uh, buy with fiat currency directly into the system. And purchase, you know, coins that you normally trade. And, you know, purchase your Wave tokens, which you can, you know, exchange on Bittrex and various exchanges. You know, it is a major coin that performs quite well. So that's my thoughts on the Waves platform. I've heard some people try to understand what Waves does different than Ethereum and some of the other things. I would say The first place to start would be it does a lot better in Ethereum when it comes to being an efficient system. It works very well in that there are other decentralized exchanges that are kind of in the relative same areas as Waves, but when it comes to the fee structure, when it comes to, uh, simplicity of layout, I think Waves bar none, you know, surpasses all of them. And, um, I would say Waves at this point should be ranked number 3. It should fall right below Ethereum, only behind Ethereum, uh, simply because, uh, Ethereum has been in the game so long, they have so many tokens out doing so much volume of trade. But that would be the only thing I would say different as to why Waves wouldn't even surpass Ethereum in my view and in my opinion. So guys, get over to Waves, set up an account while you're at it. You know, join us at Miko's Coin, we'll get you some free coins, get you started. Over there. Now, in the search portions of Waves, they do have this specific feature where if you have the same type coin, you can use an identifier throughout their token creation process. I would imagine some people have similar or the same coin names, and they have these identifiers you can just put in. You— the coins will pop up on the exchange. Everything is on the exchange, and you can trade them. And so I will list Miko's coin on this video so you can get some free coins. But I will also list the identifier that you can use in case you can't find it, uh, for some reason or another. Guys, if you like content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe. Tell me what you think about, uh, Waves. Do you think it is the Ethereum killer or a better coin? And until next time, take care.
