A technician's knowledge matters more than their equipment. Two people with the same tool get different results based on what they know. Your mind is the real tool.

If you're new to the trades, it's easy to believe the right tool fixes the problem, but tools don't fix machines. Technicians fix machines. The tool only gives you information. You still have to understand what that information means. 2 technicians can use the exact same tool and get completely different results because one understands And the other guesses. Your most important tool isn't in your bag, but it's in your mind. Invest in your tools, but also invest in yourself first, because tools don't fix things. You, the technician, fixes things. And now you know, and now you can help someone else know.
