ChatGPT alone does basic tasks, but its real power comes from combining it with other apps. LLMs work best as platforms where developers build practical tools on top, turning raw capability into solutions people actually use.
But I think by itself, people, a lot of people go like, oh, I've made the haiku, I did my kids' homework. All right, so what now? And I think the exciting applications are really when you take this and you combine it with something, another application to turn it into something useful. I think there's an important distinction there 'cause it's, I would say that as an application, its utility is marginal if you just log onto ChatGPT and chat with it.
Yeah, well, think of it as like a platform service, right? In a way, you know, people like to throw around the term platform, in a way, that's what it is, right? It provides a baseline service, a foundational service that people can then build, developers can then build applications on top of, business applications, right? But when we look at, you know, I mean, there's a lot of people who talk about large language models, right? What are those? Are they those applications? Actually, it's a, you know, a technology that underpins and, and, and are, is the foundation of, um, you know, these platform services that we see with, uh, you know, whether it's Bard or, uh, you know, um, ChatGPT and/or DALL-E or what have you, right? There's a whole variety of, uh, platform, uh, applications that are, that are coming to market or becoming available to the public. And then yes, you as a developer can develop applications that leverage these exposed capabilities.
