After talking with hundreds of construction companies, the speaker found the same problem everywhere: basic tasks like tracking trucks and managing materials get buried in paper-based systems. Even simple jobs take forever because of outdated, multi-sheet processes that create constant small delays.
I mean, we talked to hundreds of companies in the last 4 or 5 years, and almost everyone's like, we got a very complicated process. It's very difficult to explain. And if you stop and think about it, it's so basic. You need a truck, you have to track the material for billing, you have to track the driver's pay for payroll and prevailing wage and all that kind of stuff. So even just getting the material flow from point A to point B and tracking that has been way overcomplicated because we're on a paper, you know, carbon copy, 6, 7 sheets deep. So there's just so many small delays and bottlenecks we've created with these archaic antiquated processes that just to get material on site effectively is a challenge.
