New Calendar, Now Easier to Search and Read | Homeworks Update

In this product update, Mike Andes walks through new calendar color features in Homeworks. Users can customize event type colors via a pencil icon, choosing preset palettes, custom colors, or entering hex codes. A high‑contrast mode lets an event type’s color fill the entire card for better visibility in dense schedules, and it can be toggled per type. Individual events can also be given a unique color that overrides the type color. Additionally, the platform now supports crew‑based coloring: calendars can be colored and grouped by crew using colors defined in the Teams section, making it easy to spot North, South, or unassigned crews. All these visual enhancements work across day, week, and month views on both desktop and mobile, giving businesses flexible, business‑aligned calendar readability.
