Welcome to the next episode of the Unstoppable Profit podcast. I am pumped and excited because that's what this guy does. He pumps you up and he excites you because he is action oriented. And I want to pull out of him everything he's willing to share today about his recent actions. Mr. Taran Moore, welcome to the podcast.
Awesome. Thank you, Mike. Glad to be here today.
No, no, it's my honor and privilege and ever since I've gotten to know you, I remember I maybe the first time we met was out there running in the dark before dawn. Was it?
It was, yeah. EPP Boot Camp up in San Diego.
Yeah. And I, I learned that you take care of yourself, you take care of your body and your mind and everything else. And there was a couple of other agents who do the same thing and we were out there running and there you were, you know, and ever since I've gotten to know you, I admire you greatly. So as I might say to most, keep being you, man.
Yes, sir. Thank you, Mike.
No problem. Hey, so for those of you who have never heard of Taryn Moore, don't know Taran Moore or know a little bit and want to know more, give us a, you know, a short bio on who are you, where'd you come from and anything else you'd like to add?
Yeah, my name is Taran Moore. I'm from East Texas. So I'm from a small town called Winona just north of Tyler, population 564, I believe. So from a very small town and supported by my awesome parents and my little sister and Winona and I attended Charleston State University in Stephenville, Texas and got an ag degree there. And also fun fact, I'm a first generation farmer. I started farming when I was 15 years old. I was inspired by the FFA feature Farmers of America, started growing some vegetables and still farming to this day. So I love God's soil and I love God's people and just glad to, glad to be alive and also of course have the opportunity to serve my fellow Texans and now Colorado with their, with their insurance planning. So just loving life, love people that are around me, such as Mike and the EVP nation and just enjoying life. And I'm also the owner of more farms and insurance services llc.
Fantastic. That's great stuff. So is Colorado new?
Brand new. Like, four days new.
Wow. Look out. If you're out there and you're in any state, like, well, I mean, it's a big nation. You don't have to do the neighboring states to the great state of Texas. You could go beyond. Right. So if you're out there, we know we were talking about this before we started today. It only takes one word, right? Action. Action. And I'm going to tell a little bit of story in just a minute about the time that Taryn and I were together here working on his business, and his action plans were, like, immediate. And it was just awesome. But before we go there, anything else you'd like to add? I got a little. Let's add a little personal piece. Sound good?
All right, sounds good.
We got to know you a little bit. Congratulations on who you've become so far. Phenomenal story. But back to the farming side as well. What are you growing right now? Or maybe not right now. What will you be growing when it warms up a little bit?
Yeah, we just had a. We just had four days of extreme ice here in Texas. I feel like the whole state just froze up. So right now our ground conditions are super wet. And so it's going to be probably a few weeks before I can get up to the field to start plowing. But our first crop every year is sweet corn. So I try to plant sweet corn around March. We do a bi clover variety. People love the sweet corn here in Caddo Mills. We're. We're on about 40 miles east of Dallas, and so we also have several Dallas customers who come pick up to the farm. Wow. And so we'll do sweet corn in March, and then around May or so, we'll do peas. So purple whole peas and cream peas. A southern favorite if you're up north. Probably know what those are. But it's a very southern southern dish you can find at Cracker Barrel. It's a really good Cracker Barrel side. So we'll do the peas around May, and then around June, we do okra. And so those are our three main crops during the growing season. And in the fall, we do greens, such as turnip greens, collard greens, and sell those to the market around December and January. So it stays pretty busy. But right now we're in kind of a pretty quiet area. I'm kind of Relaxing this weekend, doing some insurance work here, my home office. And so not on the farm this weekend, but here in a few weeks we'll start preparing equipment, tractors, getting everything ready for sweet corn season.
So that's kind of your mindset downtime, right?
Exactly.
I know your mind runs as every waking moment and probably every sleeping moment as well. But, you know, we all have our vices. You know, I just got off my bicycle. That's my vice. That's where I collect my creative thoughts. You're out there farming, you know, farming the soil and working the soil, and that's your vice. And it just gives you energy, right?
It does. Man, there's nothing better than getting us to drive a tractor and have the fresh air, be out middle of field where it's just you and God and you can just, you know, be at peace. And it just, for me, just release in endorphins of just gratitude for one. And it's just pure. It's pure peace.
That is awesome. Thank you for sharing that. So the other little note, I. I learned this about you when I first met you. So you like music.
And you play music in various venues, right?
Yeah, my whole life, pretty much. Wow.
Okay, cool. So is there a specific instrument that you like better than others or you do well?
Well, I would say drums is my primary instrument because I can pretty much, if I hear a song anywhere, I can get on drum set, play. But I really enjoy playing piano. I play piano at church at least twice a month. And so with piano I can just express more emotion. With piano I can have more dynamics with piano and you can just, you can lead more spiritually when playing piano versus drums. And so I've really enjoyed learning it. My dad's actually an awesome pianist and organ player, so I was able to hear him play when I was growing up here in the church, playing all the time. So when I learned how the chord progressions work and how the structure works, I was able to get on a piano and kind of fall into place and just know where chords go and know where different things go. And so it's been really fun. So I do play at church twice a month at least.
Wow, that is awesome. I didn't know that.
That's great.
Yeah. So success leaves clues, right?
Yes, sir.
Your dad. Yeah. So, but in your drumming days, you were down in Nashville and you asked somebody if you could play drums for a sizable tip, right?
Yep.
It was a hundred dollar tip is what I've got. They didn't know that you were a musician, so what happened? Right.
Yeah. So I was in Nashville and, man, this band was just, they were jamming. I was like, just as a musician, I was like, I would love to, to just sit in with them and play one song. So I looked to the lead singer and I said, hey, man, a hundred bucks. Let me on stage. I'll play drums for one song. And he really didn't hesitate. He's like, 100 bucks. Yeah. Like, no one's left a tip that big, you know, at a, at a gig before. So I was like, he's, yeah, get on, get on stage. And so the drummer's like, all right, like, let's let this guy sit down. And we start, we start playing and I just fall into place because I'm playing drums my whole life. So I didn't know the song, but I knew I know music and tempo and dynamics and everything. And so fill in. And after that first song, like, the whole, like, scene goes crazy. Like this random guy, like, got on drums and just jammed out. And then they asked me.
They asked me again and again to play a few more songs after that too. So that was a really fun. Is a really fun time.
Yeah. And my notes say, didn't they try to recruit you?
They did. I got a business card with the guy's name on, said, anytime you're in Nashville, hey, give me a call, man, we'd love to, love to have you again. So that was probably seriously one of the best times of my life, like, just feeling the energy of Nashville, like Music City and getting to be on stage and play drums in front of hundreds of people. And man, I'm telling you, just the, the energy there on stage was just out. I can never, I can, I can't explain it. It was like the coolest thing ever.
So that is awesome. But, you know, back to the word that we've been using since we went before we went on and so far, and we're going to keep using this. And for everybody that's either watching or listening to this podcast, please, action you took action.
Action, action.
And I've got some notes and I was telling you about that based on my learning this week. Your self improvement plan is simple.
What is it? Action, Action. Taking action. And also I have in my notes, positive action can change everybody. Negative situation.
Positive action can change every negative situation. So, Taryn, thanks for sharing. Let's dive into the business aspect and help some people. Sound good?
Sweet.
So you've been in the insurance industry how long?
Four days ago is five years.
Congratulations. So thank you. That's, that's kind of the, if you will, the challenging times from time to time, getting used to the industry, learning the industry. I remember back in my early days, over 36 years ago, everybody would say, oh, you insurance guys, you're just like doctors. You're out playing golf on Wednesday and you know, you're just, you got bankers hours and all this kind of stuff. And once I got into it, it was like, they have no clue, no sir, how challenging it can be from time to time.
Right, Absolutely. It's, it's a grind.
Yeah, it is a grind. But once you get some experience under your belt, you kind of learn the ropes a little bit. And as we talk about within our ideal client profiles and client segmentation and everything else, and, and I remember when I learned this, and unfortunately for me, and I'm sure you know this, but anybody else out there who may not.
Somebody told me someday you don't have to write every customer. I'm like, or every prospect.
I said, what do you mean?
You don't have to write everybody that comes to your door. I said, I don't, I didn't know any better.
Right, right.
So anyway, that's when I was like, wow, that's awesome. And so I got out of the non standard auto business. I moved that as fast as I could. And I had a guy that came to me and said, you know, we had met at a young agents thing and I know you're really involved with the young agents, right?
Yes, sir.
And other, other groups. Thank you for your contributions there. And I befriended this young agent and he called me one day and he goes, mike, you know what's going on? How's it going? I told him I figured that out and all that. He goes, that's great. I said, what's going on with you? He goes, I found what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna focus a hundred percent or the majority of my time on a commercial niche. Do you know what that is? I go like, yeah, I think so. What is it?
You know?
And he, he told me I've got two niches and I've got these insurance companies who love these niches and that's what I'm going to build my business on. So obviously he did phenomenal. Fortunately, I figured some things out and done okay myself. So grateful for that.
Oh yeah.
So anyway, so you figured a lot out in the first five years. Now you're starting to really hum. And a note came across the spectrum, if you will, from you recently when you wrapped up January, right?
It did, yes, sir.
Yeah. So it says, I just had the best month ever in the insurance agency business. Today marks five years in the industry. Started 21 years fresh out of college. So what do you, what was the reason behind that? I mean, what happened?
It's as simple as a shift in, in mindset. So I was extremely, honestly anxious about January because I was the out of the office for like two weeks.
And my assistant was also anxious. She's like, dude, you're gone for two weeks. Like how, like what are we going to do? Like, how are we going to balance all this work by myself? I said we're just going to have to take action and figure, figure it out. So we had a meeting before I left and we talked and we talked on the phone about what we're going to do and you know, but just the mindset of knowing that I have to hit this number in order to, in order to keep moving forward. And so.
And so I just had to, I just had to have the mindset this is not do or die, but yeah, we have to do it. So I had him. I had a goal in mind of what I had to hit. And so I knew that we had to hit a certain amount of insurance and so put a plan together. But it was right after your R101 in San Diego. Our one on one was in January, I remember. And one of my biggest concerns was honestly binding and closing business. Like when I get a lead that comes in, I just want to have a streamlined process. And when that lead comes in, whether it be a referral, a customer referral, or an agent referral, or a website lead, what happens next to create this awesome customer experience? That journey from when they first called more farms and insurance to buying the, to buying the policy to onboarding. Mike, we talked about this for like hours out of one on one, right. And is my focus in January to just simply take action? What we discussed, and that's what I did, me and you talked about it one on one. We went in depth like line by line. What do we do when we get a new lead? And we simply took action on it. And what changed was just simply the shift in mindset. I don't think I received any more referrals in January than I did in December or November last year. I don't think I had more inbound calls I didn't have. I mean we were working hard, but our activity really didn't change. There's a shift in mindset of literally just walk with that customer step by step, when they call our agency to getting a quote, to sending the quote to me, how they present that quote and then binding that quote and then onboarding them the next day, three days later, a week later, a month later. And so just simply navigating that customer service experience and being in commit with my assistant, too, and telling her, like, this is how we're going to do this. This is how this. I said this one on one with Mike Stromsel. This is what we're going to change. We're going to sit down, we had a meeting, we discussed all these things. I had it written down. And she's like, hey, I'm on board. I like it. It makes sense and it works. And so she was.
She had a process down. And I think what also changed is that when you give your team steps line by line, this is how we do this. This is what we say when we send a quote out. This is what we say if they say this like, there's no questions about.
The process. It's written out. We know what we're going to do, we know what we're going to say. And it's just having the confidence between me and her to working with those customers. And so. But of course, nothing happens without simply taking action. So I heard a lot. I heard a lot also. I've been to a lot of insurance meetings and conferences and stuff, and I've never had a one on one with another, you know, guru in the business who's been doing it for a lot longer than I have. And so the one on one was super helpful. But if I had took action on that, nothing would have changed. I wouldn't, I would not have had record month. Because what we wrote, and I'll tell you, was $160,000 worth of, worth of business. And so that's only. I write. I don't have any agents right now. I hired an agent in February, but at the time, it is me writing in my assistant, doing all the service and quoting. So one person, $160,000. We're pretty, we're pretty proud of that. But that's just the beginning. We're going to keep moving up and up and up. And now it's a standard because we've done it. So now that's a standard for February.
That's the bar, baby.
That's the bar now. So I'm super excited to just keep it, keep the energy rolling.
Did you say you've got another potential teammate coming on?
I do, actually. 2. I haven't told you yet.
That'S all right. Cats out of the bag now, baby. I love that. So we need to talk. So make sure that we get together in a one on one situation asap. Or you can just call me, you know that. So if you're wondering what Taran, what the heck Taran's talking about. And to put the cat out of the bag on this too. Taryn is a first year member in our Platinum Coaching and MasterMind program in UPP. So part of that is the people in Platinum coaching get to come to my house and we spend six hours together working 100% of the time on their business. And so that's what we did. And a little story, we keep talking about action. So we're going to keep pursuing that singular word that everybody has opportunity to. So he left. And right after he left because he was going to meet somebody else, another agent to help support and learn with and from. And after, even after he left, you know, we're going back and forth. And then the next day after he got home, we're still going back and forth. Mike, what do I do here? What do I do here? And then I know also through the grapevine that you also reach out to some other agents. What do you do with this? What do you do with this? And you were just, the whole time when you got home, you were taking action. You take an action. You did not go home and say, oh, I had a great trip. I learned all this. I deserve some downtime.
You moved right into further action. Why is that?
Because if you don't take action immediately, time goes on and on and on. And I, I heard it from you or someone else, I don't know who, who said this, but if you don't take action within I think it's 48 hours, it doesn't, it might be 48 or 72. But if it's not a certain amount of time, if you don't do something within a certain amount of time, it does not get done. And I believe it because I'm actually cleaning up today with some tasks on my, on my desk, things I didn't do within 48 hours. It's been my desk for a week and it's not good. That's just, I'm just being transparent. Like there's some stuff sitting here that should have been done early. But if you don't do that within 48 hours or 72 hours, it does not get done. I knew our discussion was super important. And so I knew as soon as I get home, literally when I Landed in Texas. I set up in my home office and started working up stuff we discussed right then because there's no better time. And I slept good that way. I slept good that night. Cause I knew everything is done, it's set up. We're gonna keep improving it as we go. But the first step of action has already been taken. And that's, that's the most important time is just get done. Right. Then what's done is done.
Exactly. And we. Once something is done and we take action on it, one of two things are gonna happen, right? We are going to win or we're going to learn.
Amen.
Pretty simple. But the good news for you is because you took action. And I love that you. I didn't know that either until you just said it a couple minutes ago. You took action with the right mindset.
And congratulations for the leader you've become because you have a teammate who's also, I'm suggesting, in their right mindset. I've never met her, but she's coachable, right?
Absolutely. She's amazing.
So she, you came back, you had a plan, you shared it with her. She's coachable. She said, I like the plan. Let's grow. And you kept taking action. So let's share something. And I'm sure we talked about this during that one day and there's no possible way we could share everything that we actually went through during those hours. But we want to give you a couple of bullet points. Shall we give it to them?
Of course. Let's do it.
100% agree. So, you know, one of the things that you were sitting right here looking at it, and it's something that I learned when I was asked to share with a leadership team because they wanted to encourage and lead the leadership. This agency, very high performing agency, by the way, wanted to lead a leadership team into the next levels. But they were having some bumps in the road and they said, mike, can you spend about an hour with a leadership team and let's just see if we can move this forward? I said, happy to. So in that particular situation for everybody and in any. And this might be good for you with your upcoming people, right?
Yes, sir.
And leading people, the better the question.
The better the result.
So as leaders, our job is not to preach, preach, preach, to empower and lead them and to get them to think differently. In the right mindset, our goal is to ask the best questions possible.
You know, what's your opinion, Taryn, on how we should deal with this or winning and learning? They lost a Deal. What did you learn from losing that deal? Question. Right, right. What would you do differently based on what you know now to maybe win that deal? And as we affectionately say in our circles, shut the heck up. Right, right. So anyway, but that question there is, what daily habits do you do every day? Almost every day. You just said it. You're not perfect. Everybody knows I'm far from perfect, but. Right. So what daily habits do you do every day or most every day to keep your blank skills sharp? And that blank is you fill in the blank with whatever you want, whether it be leadership skills, sales skills, customer service skills, whatever. So you got that. And congratulations for you. So let's give everybody here a couple of bullet points on the things that you did right out of the gate after you left here. Because one of the things I loved about our time together, you asked me about two or three specific things and you said. I said, how much detail you want do you want? And you said, do you remember what you said?
I don't.
That's okay. We went through a lot that day. You said, I want all of the details, every single one of them. And I love that. So I gave you all the details. So you wanted me to go back, way back when, when I started, when I was kind of in your shoes, and I gave you that. So you took three of those things and you did it. When you went home. Do you remember what they were? Let me. Let me help you with this. Social proof guarantee and something else.
Social proof guarantee.
Processes.
Yeah, processes. Referral flyer. We worked on scripts.
So you went home and did all of that. Give us a little bit more on that.
I did. And we also. I couldn't, like, remember everything at one time, but I know it's all written down. We've done all those things, but what has helped us the most was the social proof. People buy because they know you, like you and trust you. So first off, you have to be known. And so we continue to be involved in our community. Actually, my assistant Sarah, she took. She went to her first carrier meeting or her first insurance conference ever, actually. And I said, when it comes down to meeting people, it's not only to meet people for future customers, it's also just meeting new other agents. And there are people who are also successful and who are doing the same kind of thing you're doing every single day. And so she went to her first insurance conference and she loved it and she had an awesome time. And I was able to introduce her to other people who are also successful in the business. And are doing the same thing as she's doing. And community is everything. And I think that, you know, even joining up has been an awesome community for me because you heard it a million times, you are who you hang around. So for little me, 26 years old, hanging around most people who are 40 and up, man, I'm getting all that wisdom that, that 20, that 20 year gap is like, you know, there's a lot that happens in 20 years. I'm getting that up front at such an early age. And so just small things like that, just being around people who are, who are like minded and who have that same sharp mindset or who are willing to push forward too every day and have those daily habits too. And so that's the first thing we did. We believe, we, we went to the carrier conference and she met other people, you know, has met other, other friends in the industry. So social proof I took that in several different ways was industry friends and also being involved in the community. So I just got on speaking at a, speaking at a meeting yesterday where I walk in, there's folks wearing cowboy hats. I said I'm in the right place.
And I co sponsored an event with Taste Agri Life Extension, which is basically a resource for farmers and ranchers who have questions about farming or even if you're not involved in farming and ranching, people who are in real estate and sell land. And so I stood in front of 30 realtors yesterday and I co sponsored. So I bought all their cold beers and their drinks and their food and share with them that hey, more farms and insurance. We specialize in farm and commercial insurance. If you have clients who, who have acreage, who have barns. And so also I learned Mike is who's your ideal client? And that's helped us out so much, man. Like, who's your, who do you want to work with? So I just spit it all out right there in front of 30 realtors and I got three phone numbers, which is three phone numbers is pretty dang good. So to hang out cards and they never call you, I got three phone numbers in my phone that go into my management system, that go into our automation, that I get to fall with it every single month now. And so I was vocal about that. We specialize in farming, commercial insurance. If they have land, if they have barns, they have cows, they have tractors, we want, they got a business, we want them. And they're like, oh yeah, this like walk came to me. She's like, I've got a plan that has 25 acres and they've got a few cows and we want to get your contact information. Now if I sit there and said, hey, my name is Taren Moore More Farms insurance. We do auto, home and life insurance. Okay. Everyone does that.
Like right.
How do you separate yourself from the rest of the competition? Like so that's, that's something that's, that's changed too is in that social proof of being vocal about what do we do and what do we want and who do we want. And we're doing that through just credibility. Being a resource. Like I said, I told too I'm an actual farmer too. So when you show me, you say so your client has a combine or they have a hay operation or if they're doing cotton, soybeans or wheat. Like we understand all that. And so being a resource for the real estate agents, the lenders, loan officers has been a big resource. And last thing, my friend who works for Texas Farm Credit who are also clients of mine. Texas Farm Credit is a big lending company for Texas farmers and ranchers.
Right.
And my clients sent me a picture on their website of me on their website on their, on their homepage. And I was like, hey, like how the heck did I go to Ion's website? So me as a guy who specializes in farming commercial insurance on a lender's website on their homepage, like facing all a whole get up in my. On my farm. And so the credibility. This guy does farm insurance and he farms. What more could you ask for when you ask for a farm and ranch insurance agent? And so social proof has been something we've been really focusing on the most lately. And of course processes of having something lined out. Like I said for my assistant when I was gone, we had a record month and I wasn't there. Processes. What are we doing to get a lead, follow it, duplicate it over and over and over again. And so those two things we focus on and. Sorry, last thing. I know I'm going more than I should, but last thing, I hope they're.
All taking notes is what I'm hoping. Go ahead.
Yeah. Last thing. The satisfaction guarantee. I wrote a rental property for a client pretty quick. She needed a fast. We quoted it up. I wasn't here. Sarah quoted up, she's awesome. She's fast. Quote up. Sent to the client. Hey, ready to buy and ready to issue. We bound the policy center. Welcome Email onboard her everything. Everything's good. Three days later Mike, she texted me and she said hey, I got a quote from another agent. That's $400 less per year. And, but he took a week to get back with me in order to get this. But Taryn, $400 is a, it's a good bit of money. Like I did the satisfaction guarantee man over the phone. I told her, I said, hey, if you are not unhappy with our services and if you don't feel confident in the coverages, I said, hey, we'll, we'll flat cancel your policy and send you a full refund of your, of your premiums. Hey, unused. Yeah, unused premiums. Prorated. And so I told her that, I said, hey, if you've not enjoyed this customer service journey, like, let us know how we can do better for one. But yeah, we'll fight. Cancel your policy immediately. And she's like, and I also said, if that agent is not willing to get you a quote within 24 hours, I said in that, I said, we're commission based. Let's be transparent. We're commission based. So if they're not willing to make money off of you when you have a claim, what's going to happen and how long will it take you to get those to get a claim filed either? Taking a week to get you a quote to generate to get money. So I'm like, why don't they pay you money quickly? And I like, I'm like, hey, we'll cancel your policy. And she's like, no, no, no, no. Let's stay with where we're at. We want to work with you, Taryn, with more farms and insurance.
I would have never, like, had the cojones to say, like, we'll cancel your policy. And I'm like, every policy matters. I'm still, I'm at month 13 at the Independent insurance agency. Every policy matters. I'm just like, I don't want to say, like, we'll cancel your policy. But I said, I was like, hey, we'll cancel your policy. And she's like, no, no, no, no, we want to stay with you. Like, we don't want to go anywhere. You're right. Like, we'll stay right here where we're at. So thank you, Mike.
You're entirely welcome. Thank you for taking action.
That's the word of this podcast, is action. Taryn Moore takes action, period. So I got. You not told me that either. $400 more client got a quote that was $400 less. Now, you and I both know it may not have been the same coverage, same deductible and everything else. Exactly. But we didn't. You didn't even need to go down that road because you used your 100% customer satisfaction guarantee in writing, and you simply took what we gave you and read it verbatim. And it worked.
It worked.
So I don't know if that's making sense to everybody that's either watching or listening, but we provide you the tools and all you got to do is take action. Action. It's pretty simple message, right?
Yes, sir.
So. Oh, my gosh. And I got a feeling we're going to be back together in a couple of months. He's already bringing on two new people, having record months in the agency. Just start now. Thirteen months in his own agency business, Five years in the business, Just taking massive action, having massive success. And to be clear, it began with a shift in mindset.
Exactly.
Our mindset's our skill set. And he took it back to the agency when he got back after our private one on one coaching session, shared it with his teammate. She's in the right mindset now, by the way. I must say this because I'll forget. So make sure you role play with her a little bit. Did she know about that call on the guarantee?
She does.
Okay, good. Make sure you role play with her on every key situation like that so she can just turn around, do it. To give her permission to use the guarantee and social proof. I know the referral program is coming soon. Let me just give Terrence some major props as well. One of the other things that we learned about when he was here, we were looking at his website and he didn't have any positive words to say, so we'll keep this podcast on the positive. But he wasn't happy. He went home and he had his whole website completely revamped in like three days. I was like, holy crap, it's amazing. Great job.
Thank you.
That was in addition to getting his social proof, his guarantee, you know, the testimonials guarantee, referral program, the scripting to be able to talk to people, to close more business and everything else, getting it all organized. So in a nutshell, that's what it was. And if you weren't taking notes, please rewind this. Watch it or listen to it again and take notes. Because everything that we've just shared here in the last 45 minutes or so, anybody can do this, right?
Absolutely.
But they have to. What they have to do again, take action.
Listen, I. I've been privileged to work with agents for a lot of years and I keep going back to that because the 8020 rule is in effect, right? The 8020 rule. 80% of people will not take action. I don't know why, it drives me crazy. So I got to go ride my bike to get it out of my being. You go out and farm to get out of your being. So There's a top 20% who will take action. But congratulations, Taryn Moore, you're in the top 3%. Because not only do you take action, I don't know if you remember this and if you don't feel, don't feel bad. Let's share with everybody else the number one reason.
That people don't succeed in business, get to their goals or exceed their goals. And you have a high bar now.
Consistency. That's it.
Ding, ding, ding, ding. Lack of consistency. Good job. So you took massive action and you're doing it with consistency, which puts you up in the top 3%. You've identified your ideal client. You know who you're going after. I wrote this down a couple of minutes ago, but I was so excited about what else you were saying. So you've got these people that you just spoke to, this group of people. You have, you know, hundreds of clients now. Not yet. Thousands, I'm sure will be thousands in the near future. Did you see the compound effect piece that I put out after you shared your success?
Was it an email?
Yeah, it was in the email discussion group. Here's the bottom line, what I did. I was so proud of you and excited for you after you put that out. And so I had your numbers. And so I said lifetime value of a client times six years. If you keep doing this consistently over the next six years, you're going to be at a million and a half in revenue. You're going to be way up there as far as number premium in just six years. If you do it consistently, I've got that email. I'll send it to you just so you can get your eyes on it. But I mean it's, it's not complicated. Guys and gals, what is it again?
Just take action.
Take action. Exactly. So you've got, you know, if you got 300 clients, we learned from Bob Berg at boot camp, everybody knows 250 people that either come to their wedding or come to their funeral. We'll just make it simple. We'll call it a hundred for easy math. 300 knows 100 people. You've got 30, 000 opportunities.
What more is it that you want? All you need to do is take action. Action. You got this group of realtors. There's 30 of them times a hundred. There's 3,000 opportunities. You just got to Take action.
Action.
And congratulations to you for taking massive action.
But thank you, Mike.
Be sharing that with Sarah and your new team members as well. You've got incredible sphere in front of you, and based on what I know about you, there's probably 10 other things that I want to share with you in that same thought process because the sky's the limit for you, man.
Thank you, Mike.
You're welcome. Thank you. And thank you for your willingness to share some of the details about how you had a record month, how you're growing your business, how you're now in the right mindset, and everything you took action on. As we wrap up today, do you have anything else you'd like to add for anybody watching or listening?
Yes. If you are procrastinating on doing anything in your business, stop procrastinating. And I hate to say it again, but take action. And I know we've said it a million times over and over and over again and it can kind of like blur out, but I'm telling you, it's literally as simple as just doing it. Such as our website. I almost forgot about that. We've been getting more website leads than ever lately. I told Sarah, we got a call in, quote, from our website, like, literally two days after revamping our entire website. I said, hey, how'd you hear about us? She said, I just googled farm insurance. I've had my other website for a year. Nothing ever happened. Like, literally we got, like one lead of our whole website and we've been getting farm insurance lead. We got a lead yesterday. Like, so it's as simple as literally, you know what you got to do? Just do it. And just don't overthink it. Don't put it off. Write it down. Get a plan together and simply just do it. And you will see results over in time. But something I think about a lot is don't just have a record month. Like, we. We had a record month of January, but now the bar is set. Consistency. Like Mike said, over and over, over and over. Duplicate it over and over and over again. Also just watched a video on Facebook with. With Steve Harvey. He said how he made $25 a week when he first started doing his comedy stuff. And then he made that $25 a week for, like, years. Then he started making $50 a week, and then he's. He got paid like a thousand dollars a week and he's like, man, let's. This feels so good. Nothing changed at all. Like, he did the exact same jokes, exact same skits. With time and experience of continuing to take action and do it over and over. And then he started getting paid like $5,000 a week. And he kept doing that over and over. And then he met a guy, Community. Right. Who do you hang around? He met a guy that's making $65,000 a week doing comedy and his, his mind and now his vision start to expand. He's like $65,000 in a week. Wow. And you know what? Today you can't call Steve Harvey for less than a hundred thousand dollars over time, taking action and consistency of doing something over time and over and over again. And so I'm super excited to have awesome community with friends like Mike and UP and all our other organization that we're involved with. Super excited for the future and for the present too. It's just a really, it's a good life. It's a good time. And I thank you, Mike, for your leadership and for your friendship and for all that you do for others.
