All right guys, 2021 is only 2 days, 3 days away, guys. It is insane. So I want to talk with you guys for a few— I have been overdue to chat on this, and no excuses, so I'm catching up with my lives. I promised nonstop lives every day, basically to finish out the year, and I'm quite a few behind, so I'm gonna catch up. One of the things I want to chat about is like, how do we make 2021 an epic year? There's 3 things that no one consistently talks about that we're gonna hit on today. No one has really ever brought these 3 things into a culmination together. The first is this concept of like, what if gravity pulled you up? Instead of down, right? Like, you know, if I jump off this table that my laptop is on, I'm gonna crash to the ground, right? I jump off, you know, this really freaking high ceiling up there, I'm gonna crash to the ground. That's not a good thing. But now what if the reverse could happen? I could be pulled up and pulled up in life, pulled up in my environment. And that comes down to one simple factor. So good to see you guys comment below. I would love to see what you're curious about in this. What are some guesses, by the way? I'm curious what you guys might guess that might be the one secret ingredient that makes gravity act in reverse for you in your life. Let's see if we get any comments. Come on, give me some comments here. I would love to see what you guys think might be the secret ingredient. Some of you guys may already know this because I teach this a lot, but all right, I'm I'm gonna give you guys the secret ingredient. Your tribe, your relationships, who you put yourself around, who you put yourself in proximity with is the most powerful ingredient. It's like, it's the power of gravity. It either pulls you up, pulls you down automatically. You know, one of the things I ask my VIP one-on-one entrepreneur clients, my mastermind members, is like, what do I need to do in my life for success? As I define it, it'd be inevitable. It's gonna happen no matter what. First thing, design the tribe, design the people you're around, be intentional about it, not haphazard, not lazy, not sluggish, not full of excuses, not just your compadres from, or homies from high school or whatever, right? Or college or your comfortable drinking buddies, whatever it may be. You need to stretch yourself. You need to figure out, hey, there's those relationships that expand you. There's the relationships that bring you joy. There's the relationships that also are like the Negative Nancys. And then also there's aspirational relationships. So, when we did my ultimate goal-setting exercise, we broke down all 4 of those and set goals and intentions around, hey, how do I expand my relationships in the categories that expand me, that bring me joy? Like I have friends But man, they just absolutely bring me joy. They're full of fun, humor, and see a world in a completely different space. But then I have other friends that are ambitious and hungry, and they challenge me. They help me see and think bigger, help me become more. They help me show up more. And we have the power and capacity, even in the midst of COVID to choose our environment, to create our environment. We are environmental designers. By accident or by purpose. So what do you want to create? How do you want to show up? Who do you want to be around? For example, I love being around authors. I love being around other thinkers. I love being around other entrepreneurs. I get to do that. Honestly, my environment allows nothing else. Okay? Like you look at who I'm with all the freaking time, it's other entrepreneurs, it's other creators. Heck, I'm getting ready in 5 minutes, I'm on another call with some other entrepreneurs. I coach entrepreneurs. I speak with entrepreneurs all freaking day long. I read books about copywriting, about money mindset, about entrepreneurship, about the membership economy. Look, you know, this is what I'm surrounding myself with all the freaking time. You get what you tolerate in life, my friends. So two statements, write these down: you get what you tolerate in life. And second statement, feed what you want to live. And starve what you want to die. Imagine, you know, as you go into 2021, you identify what you're eliminating, what you're reducing, what you're cutting out on your health, your relationships, your self-talk. Some of us have really crappy self-talk. We use words like try, I hope to, I will, someday, any of those type of weak-ass words. We use those weak-ass words. And I know if that's you, you know what, hey, I do it too sometimes. So I'm cutting those things out. What is the old me that I wanna release in 2020? And then as we head into 2021, the second thing is be genuinely interested. You know, Leonardo da Vinci, one of the world's greatest geniuses, friend of mine who wrote the book How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci. Excellent book, pick it up if you haven't. And if you're curious about genius and unpacking more of your own genius. But Michael Gelb wrote this book and he found that the very first secret that propelled Leonardo's genius was curiosity, understanding, hunger to understand. Some of the smartest business guys that I'm friends with, Josh Axe, Colin Wayne, Marshall Morris. My clients, I've got like amazing people like Carrie Ford, Jake Hoffman, Rebecca Zung, so many others. My events crew, he's built a $20 million real estate portfolio, Zach Hesterberg. You know, these really smart guys. I can name off every single one of them. And they are curious. They're insatiably curious. Okay, so that's the second thing. Be genuinely interested. That will propel your hunger and also being genuinely interested in others. When you're genuinely interested in your clients, when you're genuinely interested to know and understand, like I was coaching one of my clients today, I'm doing deep dive discovery calls with her ideal prospect and that helps her and then peeling back the layers and the questions and that helps her understand what the heck her clients really want. And then selling is not selling, it's serving. It's providing a solution. Selling at its highest level is providing a solution that someone wants. That's it. It doesn't mean you're gonna be perfect. It doesn't mean they're gonna be perfect. It doesn't mean every single client is always gonna perfectly work out. But you gotta step into it, test it, try it, okay? Third thing. Be interesting for 2021. You know, that's a big thing that I gotta step up. I'm— I've been too vanilla, too plain. I know that, right? So you guys are going to meet Magic Mike a little bit more in 2021. I cannot wait. Actually, a lot more. He's going to come out. Um, so be excited. Find that alter ego that is also inspiring you, that's fun, and that is creative, and then is dynamic, that brings out your best. Membership economy. Oh, someone just bought that. Love it. Dude, it's a great start. I'm enjoying it so far. Anyway, guys, so those are some of the things, 3 things. Shift your relationships, be, you know, build intentional relationships, putting yourself in proximity like mastermind retreats, group coaching programs, one-on-one sessions, intentional relationships and friendships. Like, you know, your relationships are gonna alter the trajectory one way or another. What you learn is also gonna alter that. So that's first thing. Be hyper-intentional about environmentally designing relationships. Second, be genuinely interested. And third, and that's genuinely interested in life, in understanding, and in people. Man, you will go really, really far if you are genuinely interested in people. That's the greatest secret to charisma. If you haven't read How to Win Friends and Influence People, that's the number one secret. John Maxwell talks about it in 21 Qualities of a Leader. Be genuinely interested in people. And people are fascinating. I love connecting with people. I wish I had more time to connect with people. All right, so I got some yeses on that. Love that. Third, be more interesting. Don't be boring. You know, secret of Donald Trump, the only secret, well, I'm not gonna go into politics too much, but he is freaking brilliant. You cannot knock him for this. He is freaking brilliant for being interesting. Okay, um, some of those epic content creators, man, they are interesting. That's what we want, right? You want to figure out how do you be, uh, interesting. Marilyn Monroe to Madonna, all new. Hey, any PR is, is generally good PR in the sense of it makes you more interesting as a character. Um, so much love, guys. Making an epic 2021. I'm gonna see you guys tonight because I'm joining back on here and I'm catching up on my missed days. No excuses. Much love. Bye.
