NLP Techniques to Rewire Your Mind for Wealth

Create a wealthy alter-ego with a name and posture, then shift your environment to affluent spaces and use visualization and affirmations to rewire money beliefs. The method includes test-driving luxury cars, reading rags-to-riches stories, and writing down negative self-talk to separate it from positive material.

How do you use NLP to reprogram your subconscious mind for wealth? Well, a couple different things. First thing I would do, and that I guide my clients to do, is identify that wealthier version of you. Who's that alter ego? What's his or her name? Connect with that version. What does that person walk like? How does that person talk? How does that person dress? What music does that person listen to? So you get more and more emotionally associated and connected. What type of environments does that person put himself or herself into, right? So as you get more connected with that version of you, then you identify, alright, what are the things that that version of you experiences? Okay? And you can start out small. For example, you may not have a big budget. Most of us don't have a big budget when we're working on our money consciousness at an earlier stage. But you create new neuroassociations. For example, instead of going to the coffee house in the neighborhood that is just kind of broke and kind of a trashy, worn-down neighborhood. Go to the coffee house in the wealthiest neighborhood in the city that you live in. Coffee is going to be about the same, maybe 50 cents more, but go in there and that's where you work from. That's where you do your meetings. That's where you put yourself in a wealthier environment. Your subconscious starts shifting to feeling more connected to that space and that it's safe. Because again, our brains are wired to keep us safe. But in wealth, when you're moving up from a middle, poor or middle class to a wealthier state of reality, what you know is what feels safe. So if you're middle class, hey, your friends are middle class, your environment is middle class, your home is middle class. You don't have to, quote, fake it till you make it, but you put yourself in proximity, almost believe it until you become it. And you're actually programming, you're stretching your subconscious mind. Like, let's say this is your wealthy state, this is your current reality. Well, if I just inch myself over every day with visualization, with affirmation, with scripting, with music, with environments, with believe in, see and speak in it, eventually I start inching more and more and more, and over time I get there. And it's the inching, inch by inch, day by day, that you move in that direction, and your body and your brain starts feeling safer. Next piece, look at your triggers, okay? Especially triggers and belief patterns around wealth. If like, I'm not meant to be wealthy, that's a belief pattern that a lot of people have. I grew up poor, I'm meant to be poor, my whole family's been poor, whatever. That's a belief pattern. Is it really true? That's one of the first questions. So you got to kind of dislodge, like that feels like a certain belief. So you got to rock that. You got to pound the certainty of that belief so that the foundation feels rocky. So that's where you ask, is this really true? Are there stories of people that grew up really poor that became really wealthy? Yep, 100%. You can find stories everywhere. So you start soaking your mind, immersing your mind, almost marinating your mind in these stories of higher levels of wealth and wealth consciousness. And what will happen is you start seeing the possibilities. Your brain starts getting reprogrammed. Your conscious mind and your subconscious starts moving in that direction. And then set little triggers around your house. It can be something affordable, something like little. Maybe it's a little poster that has this powerful quote that inspires you to become more wealthy and reminds you that you are worthy, that you are called to do it. And then you also identify, hey, who else believed in me? Who else saw something in me? Or was it just me that I believed in myself? Like Michael Jordan believed in himself so much that that belief was then mirrored in his mom, that was then mirrored in the guys at Nike, that was then mirrored in his teammates, that was then mirrored in his coaches, that was then mirrored in his fans. He had such belief. He fed that belief. He anchored it and he stoked the flames of that belief. You gotta feed what you want to live and starve what you want to die. You also want to pay attention to any of that negative junk. Write out all that negative junk. Take a few sheets of paper, part of your notebook. Don't commingle it with your positive stuff. Write out, these are the beliefs that creep in about my wealth consciousness or about my ability to build wealth. I'm not worthy. I'm not smart enough. I'm too young. I'm too old. I'm too fat. I'm too thin. I'm too blah blah. I didn't go to the best schools. I live in Africa, I don't live in America, blah blah blah, whatever it may be. Or I live in America but I don't live in New York. Or I live in New York but I don't live in a small town where I could flourish. There's so many beliefs. Any one of us could have a million justifications for why we couldn't be wealthy. But that's not the point. If you think you can, you're right, as Henry Ford used to say. Crazy thing, Henry Ford, 1943, he was bankrupt for the second time. Guess what? 10 years later, world's wealthiest man. Had equivalent of like a 6th grade education, never was good at reading and writing. He believed he could. You can as well. There's untapped potential in each of us. You have that capacity for a much higher level of presence, higher level of wealth, higher level abundance. You're called to expansion. If you look at this Earth, this Earth is an abundant reality, and the more you tap into that— think about it, you and I never have to think about breathing. Even if you live in Shanghai, there's air. There's enough air that you're most likely going to live. The birds of the forest and the fish of the sea, there's usually enough food for them. Yes, we sabotage those environments with our destructive waste cycles as humans, but guess what? They don't have to worry. You don't have to worry either. Like, my daughter is a 2-year-old. She's always going to have enough to eat. That's my commitment, no matter what. So think about how do I create this feeling of abundance, tap into it, and then create triggers that invite me into it, and then redesign my environment, whether it's your office whether it's your home or one room in your home to start. Wherever you live, what can you do as a little reminder? Do whatever you can to reprogram your mind, your body for higher levels of wealth consciousness. Acknowledge the good things. If you grew up poor, middle class— I grew up middle class, my parents sacrificed a lot. I had great parents, very grateful for their hard work, all those things that they taught me. But I want to go above and beyond, and I have gone above and beyond, and I want you to do the same. So you don't have to neglect, and be unappreciative for your past to step into your future. Your future is calling and it's waiting for you to embrace the higher level of wealth, higher level of connection, higher levels of abundance that are there for you. Lastly, again, back to that quote: feed what you want to live and starve what you want to die. This is going to be a process. It's not going to be an overnight thing for most of us. Nurture and saturate and meditate and just soak your brain, your body, your spirit in wealth consciousness. This is where even, for example, when I bought my first Tesla, well, how did I get to that point? I experienced a Tesla on a trip in Australia and I was like, oh, this is amazing. Then I went and test drove one, and then 6 months later I had figured out a way to get a Tesla, okay? So go and drive that dream car, go and walk through those dream houses and experience, go drive through that dream neighborhood, but get out and walk and do open houses, whatever it is. Put yourself in those environments, shop at those luxury stores that you want or, you know, just walk through them. You don't have to buy. Experience them. Start seeing that it's safe, that you are worthy and interrupt those patterns or thoughts, say, "I'm not worthy," with, "What if I am worthy?" Just a what if, add the what if at the end and it shifts everything. Hope that's helpful. So, I want to see you succeed and move to a higher level of wealth consciousness.
