Short YouTube clip (Molly McPherson) expressing emotional reaction to recent Boston Red Sox trades, especially Rafael (“Raffy”) Devers, describing family/fan heartbreak and advising against buying personalized jerseys. The speaker recounts her 20-year-old son Connor’s upset texts and son’s experience at Fenway, using a conversational, upset tone.
Do we need to start a support group for the mothers of Red Sox fans who are going through it right now? My 20 year old Massachusetts born son Connor told me yesterday at work about the Raffy Devers trade and I was at a grad party so by the time he got home from work I was. But the text from yesterday and the text I woke up to this morning. Oh my hot. Oh my gosh, Red Sox. Oh my gosh, they will break your heart. Don't buy jerseys with names on the backs, Mom. That, that will be the first rule in our, in our, in our group, in our support group. Mookie. But attendee Bogarts. Oh my gosh, the money and the, and the, the sorrow. The sorrow for these boys. He was at Fenway on Friday night. I said, please send video. He said, mom, I don't send video. I have to watch everything. Oh, we're feeling it.
