Connie Zack x Mona Sharma | Rooted in Wellness Podcast

Connie Zack, co-founder of Sunlight Saunas, explains how infrared and red light therapy work at the cellular level. His brother's heavy-metal toxicity sparked the shift from pharma to sauna technology. Far, mid, and near infrared wavelengths each target different pathways: circulation, detox, inflammation, and mitochondrial health.
Chapters
It's probably. Is it trace? Trace minerals. It's got to be trace minerals.
No. Gosh, I hope I bought the right one. I can't remember the name of it right now, but I. I think about you because I'm like, this is. Oh, I love that, Mona. It's electrolytes. It's. And they're the thing. The reason Aaron said that you liked them, this brand, this jar was. I think it was either the amount of sugar or it was the way they sweetened it. Something had something to do with the flavor. You thought it was more natural and healthier.
That sounds. That's definitely something I'd say.
Yeah. Yeah.
There's a few that are on my list, so text me a picture after. Yeah, I keep them in variety because I use them so often.
Yeah, I do too. Like, I have different ones because. Yeah, same, you know, and some. And the flavor I want. Oh, I want this flavor today. Or, you know.
Okay. Well, I think of you every morning when I go into my sunlight and sauna.
I can't wait to hear your protocol and your routine, like, all that stuff. I can't wait.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right.
If you freeze, just pick it up.
Okay, Sounds good. So I'm being told if we do freeze, we pick it up where we stop. So we'll keep an eye out together. So, well, dive in. All right, Connie, Zach, welcome to Rooted in Wellness. This is long overdue.
Yay. I've been looking forward to this all day. I'm so excited to chat with you.
Me too. All right. I want to dive into all the goodness, but before we start, I want you to know that this podcast is all about, you know, ancient wisdom in our modern day world and how to become more rooted that's rooted in your health and yourself and your life and this inner wisdom that I know that we all have to heal. So what are three things that make you feel uprooted in your health, in your life? Meaning you don't feel grounded, you don't feel like yourself?
Three things where I feel uprooted, so there's a lot. So I'm trying to get to three. So one. One is extensive. Always the word before extensive travel. Because it gets me literally, like uprooted and it gets me out of my grounding and rooting and it's. It's just hard because you can't control when you travel. You can't. There's so many things you. That are out of your control. And so that's one. Another is if I'm in an environment where it's like, rush, rush, rush, hurry. Like, it's that type. Because I'm so in touch with my emotions and my spirit and my routine and my breath work. All those things that when you get into a situation where it's artificial. Well, and that's another one. So, yeah, that would probably be my third because that's, oh, very uprooted. If I am like, one of our core values is be true and authentic, and if I'm in a situation where it's disingenuous, feels artificial, or it just starts to feel not positive, then it really. I have to do a lot of hacks to, you know, to manage through that. So. That's a great question, by the way. I love that question. And also, before I go, I want to make sure to tell you this. I love the word rooted. So I just think like, you know, words matter. And when I was, you know, introduced to you from, you know, our mutual friend, my business partner. Yes, he's so awesome. I just really felt connected to your mission and I felt we were so aligned. And then when I saw the name, you know, of your podcast, I'm like, oh, my gosh. Like, this is such a perfect. Because everything about rooted, I just. I love. So anyway, it's a side note.
Thank you. Thank you so much. And I. I can see how it would resonate with you having a challenge, not that you had a challenge, thinking about three things that cause you to feel uprooted, meaning, you know, yourself, you know what you need to do in this world to feel rooted. So can you share with our audience, what are some of those things you mentioned? A beautiful morning routine, things that you do to kind of come into yourself. What are three things that cause you to feel more rooted in your health and who you are?
Yeah, well. Well, definitely. I have to start off with my foundation, which is my son. Like, sauna, for sure. I mean, that is like the grounding. The moment I go in there, I just, you know, everything, like my shoulders drop and I notice my breath, you know, changes. And I just feel instantly like I'm going to have this really fantastic experience. It's such a great feeling. So. So that is one. I will say what I've been doing lately, lot more of that. It makes me definitely feel rooted. Is meditation. So inside my sauna, specifically, and then probably my. One of my number one things, I start off my day that's part of my morning routine with hot water, with lemon. It's something I've done. I can't Even remember when I started, people ask me, like, when did you start? Like, I don't remember when I started, but it just. It just makes my body feel like I feel flow and, you know, I feel centered, and it's part of who I am. And, you know, I started to continue to do it. Like, it's. It's. It's not in the morning here in Kansas City, but it's part of. As the season changes. It's something that I tend to do more in the afternoon as well, because it just gets to be a little bit, you know, colder, and I want to feel that just internal warmth and kind of wonderful hug.
Yeah. I love that you brought that up because. Well, first of all, the reason why we asked that question, 99.9% of the guests who sit on the other side, when they ask, when they answer that question, all the modalities are free. In a world where we've overcomplicated wellness and what it takes to feel our best, everything that everyone knows is free. And hearing you speak the way that you speak about it, when you find a ritual that feels so good for you, it doesn't feel like effort. It's almost like you look forward to it. You do it, and it anchors you in a memory of, like, the exhale that you mentioned, kind of like when you go in the sauna. Which, by the way, is exactly how I feel. My sauna this year has been the most grounding therapeutic experience for my entire physiology. We'll talk more about that and the results that I've seen in my labs, which I cannot wait to share. But let's dive into some rapid fire questions. All right, so whatever comes to mind, just spew it out.
Ready?
Here we go.
Yeah.
So a common sauna myth that you wish people would stop believing.
I wish they would stop believing that infrared is all the same, because it's not. So it's a complicated wavelength. It's. It's a level of energy. It's. It matters the quantity, it matters the quality, it matters who comes from it. There's a lot of things that matter, but when it comes to infrared.
Good one. All right. The biggest mistake that people make when using an infrared sauna is they get.
So fixated on the temperature, and it doesn't matter.
Oh, God, I'm so excited for this one. All right. One thing that you always do before or after a sauna session to really enhance its benefits.
Before, I always have my hot water with lemon. Afterwards, I really take. I take a moment, and I just do a Good self awareness. And I just kind of pay attention to how am I feeling, why am I feeling what's going on, and just. Just take that time to get really connected. And then a lot of times afterwards, if I haven't already done it, then I will visualize how I want my day to go and the feelings and the emotions, you know, that I want to connect with, depending on what's going on. So I just. I connect it with the sauna because the energy that comes both, like, from being inside as well as physically how I feel afterwards, it just gives me the extra. Extra zest, you know, extra joy, extra positivity. And so I want to capture that into my. My visualization of my intentions for the day.
Beautiful. You're manifesting.
Yes, yes. Big into manifestation.
What's the most surprising health benefit that you've personally experienced from infrared therapy?
You know, that takes me back to the basement when we started our company. And the biggest surprise I had back then was cellulite was the fact that I remember and I, you know, I mean, I've never been, you know, like, overweight, but I noticed that I was starting to have. My legs just didn't look as, you know, beautiful as I would like them to look. And when I started using my. That time, it was my sunlight and Zolo. Oh, my gosh. I looked down, I'm like, oh, wow. I haven't changed anything except for that. So that's a really nice extra benefit that we actually don't talk about that much at our company. You just brought me back to, you know, basement days.
Oh, gosh. I'm sure a lot of yours just perked up. One misconception about sweating or detoxification that needs to be cleared up.
Yeah. So. And I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, too, because I just listened to your podcast about detoxification. I love the way you framed the sink. Like, how to think about detox. It's so important. As far as a common misconception, I don't think people understand. There's so many pathways. I don't think they really, truly. First of all, I don't know if people really, truly understand the power. And I loved how you framed it, how before you can nourish your body, you have to detoxify. Right. You have to. You don't want to put, you know, food into a clogged sink, you know, to use your own words. I just think it's a great visual. And so a common misconception is people don't understand people. A they don't understand the value and the need. They don't understand all the pathways. They don't necessarily understand specifically with infrared, you don't have to sweat to detoxify because there's other things going on in your body. So that was a lot more than one. Sorry.
No, that's so good, though. And it's such a big point, because what I get fearful of when we speak about. It's funny how sauna is kind of in this biohacking realm now when it's like one of the most ancient practices. But when we look at the cultures that would have been using sauna, they recognized the body as a whole. We weren't going in as this band aid solution to detox the body so that we could go out and go harder. We were using a therapeutic. We were understanding our circulatory system, our lymphatic system, our liver, kidneys, spleen, gallbladder, everything, and how it's all interrelated. And then the bonus is the results that you feel. So thank you for sharing that. This is exactly what I'm so excited to dive into today. And also, just, you know, just knowing you and Zach together, the energy that you have, you are the most calm, grounded, centered couple, powerhouse couple. That is just such an honor to know you. So with that said, this is a ritual that I think really shows up in the way that you go out into the world and the calm that you have as well. So when we think about infrared sauna and infrared light therapy specifically, there's so much research out there, Right. So for the people who finally need the science to back it, the latest one that I read is that it can actually reduce all cause mortality by up to 40%. It can lower your cardiovascular risk by 50% and even support your mental health by improving your circulation and endorphin release. I think that's what you were tapping into. That. Just that feeling that you have when you go out into the world. You know, how often have we gone into the sauna? Maybe feeling a little bit of stress or overwhelm, but we leave the sauna thinking about how beautiful life is and how grateful we are and everything that we want to manifest.
So, yeah, how excited we are. That's. I think that's the. One of the factors for me is I go from maybe not. Maybe I don't like the word. So I won't say it because I don't like the word, but maybe like anticipating how something's going to go and maybe not. Here's what I Want to say maybe not looking forward to something that's coming up. But then when I get done with my sauna, I'm like, okay, like, bring it. Like, let's go.
Ready to go?
Yeah. And I get excited to. To take on a task that I maybe previously wasn't excited for. It just, it really helps. The whole mental aspect is. Is real. And, you know, for those people who want science, I mean, there's so much data when it comes to brain health and mental health and mood changes. Exactly what you just talked about, how, you know, you're lifting the. Your mood because it's giving all these happy chemicals inside your body, so you can't help but be happier, you know, as a result of a session. So that's pretty powerful.
Yeah. And I think that has a lot to do with, you know, the story that you have in the journey. You are one of the originators kind of before this became trendy in the wellness industry. And I think that great. Every great innovation that's out there really starts from personal healing or a story of a loved one. So let's start with your heart, with the heart of your story and your journey to create sunlight. And how did it all begin?
Yeah, I think anybody that's listening, I just really want to reiterate what you said about so much greatness. A lot of times comes from, you know, tragedies or illnesses or fights or challenges. So if you're going through something and you're listening, you know, the. Keep going and. And you'll eventually be able to see, you know, that. That silver lining and that, you know, that enlightenment that comes from the situation you're in. Just keep going.
Yeah.
As far as our story, it's really crazy. It was over 20, 25 years ago. My brother was chronically ill, and he tried everything. It wasn't until his dentist recognized the fact that he had mercury amalgam fillings in his mouth. And he theorized, his dentist, he theorized that the mercury was leaking into the. His body, and that's what was causing him to be so sick. So he essentially diagnosed him with heavy metal toxicity, which nobody KNEW Anything about 25 years ago. I mean, you just didn't.
Yeah.
You just didn't use heavy, like, people be like, what. What's heavy metal? And so he also went one step further, which I'm so thankful for, the doctor or the dentist and said, I've read some research on this wavelength of energy called infrared, and it can potentially be able to detoxify the body in a safe, natural way. And I think you should, you know, check it out. So my brother did. He bought an infrared sauna. And it changed his life. Like, it really. I. I watched it, watch the transformation. I would go over to his apartment and I would just try and, you know, ask him tons of questions. What are you doing? And he went from being in his bed, like, all the time to being healthy and then walking and then eventually, you know, running and exercise. And the only thing he changed was. Was, you know, his infrared sauna. And so at the time, Aaron and I were at Procter and Gamble and the pharmaceutical side of the organization. And we were both really passionate, even back then, about making a difference in this world and really leaving this world a healthier place as a result of what we did. When we saw this transformation of my brother, we thought, wait a second, what if we take this energy that nobody knows anything about, research it, figure out how to make it the most effective, efficient product on the market, and bring it to life and help. Help people? Instead of what I was doing, I thought I was helping. And I was helping people at P and G. I absolutely was helping people with Crohn's and Colitis and with. I also worked in the anti hypertensive division. But a lot of the help. Mona was on band Aids, right? Like, I was helping bring new products to market, which was great. And it was helping people lower their blood pressure. But ultimately, they weren't really changing anything about their body, their lifestyle, their diet, anything. They were just taking a medicine. And now I get to introduce people to this wavelength of energy that really helps to bring the body, like you said, back to these ancient rituals and helps to restore the body in the way that it's originally meant to do. Because our bodies can absolutely heal themselves as long as we know the tools and the power and the knowledge to do so.
Thank you for sharing. It's a beautiful story. Whenever you can see someone's transformation from pain to freedom. And I'm thinking about your brother through the lens of so many of the clients that I've worked with. Often when you have any types of toxin, exposure or toxicity that accumulates within the body, the symptoms in the beginning are so subtle. Grogginess, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, issues with digestion, stuff like that. And over time, you know, the body kind of just gets accustomed to living that way until it becomes debilitating. And thank goodness for finding a practitioner like that, a dentist like that, who just saw that there could be a better way, which is, you know, for. For listeners who Might be suffering, and you don't know why. Dig deeper. It might be time to find a different practitioner who can really shed light on that. And the analogy that you were mentioning before that we use in Ayurveda was this concept of a sink. A lot of the imbalances that we experience in our 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond, they're not necessarily from the there and now. They're accumulating from the time potentially at birth. Right. We know we now come into this planet with toxins in our umbilical cords. So it really causes you to look at your health in a different way. What are you accumulating that clog in the sink? Unless you're working with a practitioner that's helping you unclog whatever that source is, you're just band aid solutions, clearing a little bit of space to continue to get by. So, yeah, root cause healing. I'm loving that it. That it's trending, but it's still a very unknown area because a lot of people aren't trained in this modality. I want to go back to what you're talking about, wavelengths. And, you know, for those of you who are new to this, can you shed light on what is infrared therapy and how does it differ from traditional sauna?
Yeah. So infrared, the spectrum of lights, a spectrum of light that's in the sun's spectrum of light. So I always say it's a spectrum within a spectrum. And the way that you experience infrared is very different than traditional. So we'll start with traditional because everybody knows what that is. So traditional heat heats the air, and you get hot because the air is hot. So that's the process. It works. Infrared, this is like. I just love this aspect of this energy because it bypasses the air, essentially, is a good way to think of it. And it connects the energy, the wavelength of light connects with your cells and your mitochondria. So if you think about our bodies, our bodies are solar panels, right? Like, we. Our bodies. If you think about ancient days and how there were no cell phones, there were no alarm clocks, you know, people woke up to the sun, right? And then. Then they were outside a lot, and then they went to sleep when the sun went down. So that was. It is totally connected to the sun. And you need that light energy for your body to be as effective as it can be. You know, you need light energy to be optimal, and that's what infrared gives your body. What's super, super special is within this spectrum, there's essentially four different types of infrared that that connects with your body at totally different levels. So, for example, you use far infrared for a second. So far infrared is absorbed the deepest when the energy comes into your body. I love. Dr. Bland always says this. It's like your water molecules start dancing and they start just moving around. And that moving around causes flow, which is one of the greatest things you can do for your body internally. And that flow causes increase in circulation, increase in core temperature, increased mobility inside your body. Like, that's what starts those detox pathways. Like, all of that increased oxygenation starts when that wavelength of energy is received by your cells. That's why one of the many reasons that all infrared is not the same, because just like a supplement or nutrition or food, you have to get the highest absorption infrared if you are to mainly getting what we call convectional or traditional heat. While there is benefit, of course, you're not getting that cellular repair and that mitochondrial boost. You're not supercharging your cells like you would do if you were in the highest amount of infrared. So that was a lot. So I'll pause there.
I love that you're really kind of merging the science with a bit of the magic behind it as well. And our ancestors didn't necessarily have the labs or the science to really tell them how this was beneficial. And yet, you know, so many of our cultures. I always refer to sun salutations in yoga. I love sun salutations were designed to be done in the sun. And you literally face your hands towards the sun, that infrared light in the morning. And I love that referring to your body as a solar panel to really bring all of that energy in. And you've all felt it, you know how good it feels, or that feeling. If you've ever gone outside for the morning sunlight, maybe with a cup of coffee, there's something that feels incredibly grounding about it, right? You can feel your cells charge so that you can go out and then just start the day. And I would say that, you know, I love that you called out that key point where all infrared is not the same. Because this is another one of those areas where whenever there is, it's like the supplement industry now, which is becoming the wild West. A lot of companies are launching these products, and they don't necessarily have the science behind it or the right rays behind it, or the right wavelengths or currency behind it to really make an impact. And this is something that you really want to feel. And with sunlight. And I remember before I even knew you guys, I was researching the best options for my clients and you guys use near, mid and far infrared plus red light therapy. So can you break those down and how they support you in your unique way? And I also love in my sauna how I can see the different way length.
Yes.
And how they support me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I love that too. So we'll start again with far, because that really is the, I call it the foundation, foundational wavelength for so many reasons. And one of the main ones is that it is the one that works with your water molecules in your mitochondria and starts the whole biochemical cascade, cascade of events that happen to you in your body that lead to all these wonderful results and benefits that everybody talks about. So. And that it comes from all the wavelengths, but the foundational one is, is farm Fred. So that goes to the. It's absorbed the deepest into your body. It's the coolest interesting wavelength of all of them. And what's so special about it is the moment you turn on your sauna, that wavelength is the longest. And so that's when it gets absorbed the deepest. And so that's just the time to just soak it all in. Literally, that's far infrared. Some of the benefits I'll tell while I'm talking about far infrared, I'll speak to, there are depression, mental health, cognitive health, skin purification. But skin purification from the inside out through detoxification, detoxification, increased sleep, definitely decreased cortisol, helping the body to produce all sorts, like I said, happy chemicals. And then the most studied benefit and the longest studied benefit out of all, everything is the cardiovascular system and everything related to heart health. It is absolutely, it is mind blowing how, what an impact that far infrared can have on longevity in contributing to a healthy heart. So then there's mid infrared, which is a shorter wavelength and hotter. So the first two far and mid, you experience these wavelengths that they're done the right way by heat. So it's light energy, but you feel it by heat. And it's kind of similar that, you know that feeling you just talked about, that feeling when you. It's been cloudy or you walk outside and you see the sun, but you actually feel the sun. And then just that feeling that just feels so good. You're like, oh, I just want to stand here and not move for a minute. That's that feeling of infrared. That's infrared. That's how infrared feels. So because the majority of the energy coming from the sun is in the infrared wavelength, so then mid infrared is a little bit hotter. It complements like, it's like the perfect blend wavelength because it works so beautifully with far infrared. It works great for weight loss, it works great for pain relief, it looks great for muscle recovery. It's huge for muscle recovery when used connecting with far infrared. And then we're going over to the next two. And those wavelengths of light are experienced and felt by light energy, not by heat, if they're done correctly. So near infrared, which is the hero of light energy. Near infrared is just so, so special because it penetrates the skin and it has been studied just for those people who are science, you know, they like really want their science. If you search for photobiomodulation are otherwise known as pbm, I have in my office, I have this textbook that was written by Dr. Hamblin that is like. It calls it a handbook. I always cracks me up because it's so big. But it's all about the studies that have been done for many, many years on light energy. One of them being near infrared, one being red light and the impact that it can have on the, on your cells and repairing them, restoring them, increasing ATP. I mean, doing so many things for yourselves that help you live a longer life. But what's more important than for Aaron and I, than living a longer life is the quality of the life we live. Like feeling great, you know, when you wake up in the morning. So near infrared penetrates the deepest of the two between near infrared and red light. The thing about infrared, near infrared, everybody should know because this is causes a little bit of a mind shift, is that it is invisible light. And it's really hard for people to grasp onto something that's invisible. I get it. I get it 100%. So, you know, we have a little sensor in there that shows you when it's on. And when it's on, it's just like a light bulb, but you don't see the light. It is absolutely working with your cells to make you a healthier person. Then the next wavelength next to that is red light and that is visible and does not penetrate as deep. The two have very similar benefits because of the way they work. They work, they penetrate the skin and they go into your cells. And for cell repair, they're excellent for wound healing. They're excellent for fine lines and wrinkles. They're great for reducing inflammation and pain relief, especially in hard areas. What I mean by that is like sometimes like the back, your neck, or in your knee or in your feet. When I was training for a marathon, Aaron did an ironman. I don't know if he shared that with you. But he did an Ironman several years ago. And I told him, well, I won't swim and I won't bike with you, but I will be your running partner. And so I trained with him. And then he had to do 13 miles for, for his Ironman. So I'm like, okay, well I'll do a half marathon. And I felt so great afterwards. I'm like, oh, I could just do the whole thing. So I signed up to do a full marathon. But my point of, my point of infrared connecting back is I would go, so our sauna is in our basement, Our lower level should call it federally, it's not a basement, our lower level. And I would, it would be so difficult after, let's call it a 10 mile run or 13 or 18, whatever. It would be so difficult for me to walk down the stairs. My, like every part of my foot and my knee just hurt and ate. And then I get in there and I would lie down, I had a certain position, I would put my, my feet and my knees right up against the LED panels to receive the near infrared. And Mona, I'm telling you, I could feel the tingling of my neck when I was doing it. And I could feel, it's like, you know that feeling if you have cold hands and it takes a while for them to warm up and like you almost don't even feel your hands because they feel so cold that like, that's kind of how it would feel. But it was in with the essence of pain. Like just sharp, sharp pain. And then all of a sudden I felt like my nerves tingle and I could like move my toes and I could move my knee. And every single time that I would leave that sauna and I would walk up the stairs, I looked like a completely different person than before. I should have taken videos. This is what I look like now. This is happening of this. But. So those are the, the, the, the, It's a very brief, believe it or not, summary of the different wavelengths. But what's, what's special about infrared? Heat versus traditional heat. And both are good. So I am a huge fan of, you know, any type of ancient ritual and, and going back to our roots. And so I, I think if you, you know, you should definitely do as much as you can. But the difference is that when you do infrared, you do get a combination of light energy and heat energy. And our bodies are getting less and less light energy today than we ever have. So you get that value. And there's a significant value to having both, both heat and light that is so helpful.
A lot of these things are trending right now, but we just don't know the science behind it. And that was a great overview. I know that there are full textbooks about this. And I love that you brought up photobiomodulation, because essentially, with those different ranges, what we're trying to do is mimic nature.
Yes.
Like something that nature does naturally through the different ranges and how they're supportive and healing and the science that's coming out around it to you, sharing story around your recovery and stuff like that is pretty amazing. From wound healing, bone healing, muscular healing, the therapeutic aspects around. Gosh, we're going into fall and winter now. Right. And the support that comes from different types of light therapy on our energy and our mood are so, so, so important. So listen to that, pay attention. Especially if you're on an east coaster, like a lot of my family is going into sad season, seasonal affective disorder season. This is something that really changes the game. No medication, nothing like that. And it's so therapeutic and healing. So thank you for sharing that.
Yeah, yeah. And, and I will. So those people that are experience sad, this is a conversation that keeps coming up here in Kansas City. And we have heard so many people that have shared, once they started using consistently their sunlight and sauna, that whole feeling of depression and that sadness that comes from the seasons changing went away. And it's, it's. That's empowering just knowing that there's a solution, you know, to that and that you don't need to feel that just heavy, you know, sadness. You know, if there's ways that you can lift that and have that sparkle and joy, then, you know, why not invest in it?
You got it. It's part of that bigger picture. When we become disconnected from nature, we start to feel it. We get sad, we get sick. And I would say now is also a good time before it happens, before you're in the dead of winter and winter months. It's about prevention as well. When you think about your body becoming like a battery pack, just holding more light, I think is so essential and so key. You said another magic word word, which is a buzzword, which is mitochondrial health. And even the story just, you know, putting your body up against the light and feeling that tingling. I always envision, like, mitochondria dancing when they're communicating with each other. And one of the most fascinating things that I learned when I was in school for nutrition is we think that we can treat mitochondria in a localized manner, but it's Actually, an entire network within our body that's connected to our lymphatic system and cardiovascular system and all of those things. So when you think about mitochondri, mitochondria, if we put this now through the lens of aging and our energy, how would you say that infrared therapy really can support mitochondrial repair and our vitality?
Yeah, that's a great question. And mitochondrial function is one of the hallmarks of aging. So it is something that will cause you to accelerate aging if you're. If you have a dysfunctional mitochondria. And it's not something necessarily. I mean, you can feel once it becomes, you know, really bad. But it's something like you said, it's something that we should train our bodies today for what we want to be tomorrow. Right. And infrared can help increase the function of your mitochondria. It essentially can work with your mitochondria to make more engines. I always called mitochondria. Like, those are your, you know, engines, right? They're like, I. You have a visualization. I always picture, like, I'm going into the recharge zone, and I'm just getting, like, supercharged whenever I'm using my sauna with my mitochondria, because I'm, like, waking them up and giving them the charge of energy that they need. And sometimes they need to make more engines. Sometimes they need to increase the function. Sometimes you need to change the structure. There's all sorts of different needs of the mitochondria. And infrared is just a natural energy that comes from the sun that can help. And everybody wants to help turn back the clock. And this is one of the hallmarks of aging. So if you know that there's a solution to help increase your function of your mitochondria, infrared is one of the levels of energy that can do that.
And was there a moment that you remember when you knew you had to merge heat? I think a lot of us focus on, as you said, the temperature of asana, how hot we get, how. How quickly it gets hot. Also, when did you guys decide that you wanted to merge the two together?
Yeah, that's a great question. So we started researching the other wavelengths in 2008. Yes. And we started. What happened is we were talking to. We've always leaned into experts, and because Aaron and I knew that, you know, we're. I mean, it's like being at P and G. Like, I did not know everything about cardiovascular health. Right. I did not know everything about gastrointestinal health. I did not know everything about crohn's class, I had to. I had to rely and learn from the people who studied it extensively. And so we started to connect with those types of individual scientists who studied the infrared wavelength. And we learned that, wow, there's so much more than just far infrared. There's so many other benefits if you can bring in another level of the infrared spectrum, which is middle, as well as this just insanely powerful energy of near infrared. And so we connected with people like Dr. Harry Whelan, and he did extensive research on light energy with NASA and just explored the options. How do you take something and bring it into a cabin behind me? How do you create something? How do you emulate and replicate what we know scientifically works on the body? And so we started that process in 2008 and then launched our first Impulse, which is the one behind me, which has, at that time, it had far infrared, mid infrared, near infrared, all separated out, which was. We learned such a powerful way to deliver infrared energy because you're maxing out, you're maximizing the quantity of far infrared, and then you're maximizing the quantity of mid infrared, and then you're maximizing the quantity of near infrared separately. And then we worked with other experts on if we want to do pain relief or we want to do anti aging or if we want to do specifically weight loss, what would be the formula, what would be the recipe for. For putting those wavelengths together? And then we developed programs. We have six preset programs that are in impulse, so you don't have to think about it. You just press a button and it starts. Activates the cardio program, for example. So we did that in 2010. An interesting story that I don't normally ever talk about, Mona, but we were working on a protocol back in the end of 2008, and we sent it to Oprah Winfrey.
Oh, wow.
And she. She contacted us in March of 2009 and she said, well, she didn't, but her staff, her team at Harfo Productions contact us. And so we, we are so interested in this product, this smart sauna that you guys are building. And we said, well, we don't currently have a smart. I mean, we're building it, right? And. And she's like, well, that's what she wants. And we're like, well, we have already the highest quantity of foreign Fred on the market that has all these scientific data. We did a study, umkc, blah, blah. We like share all this stuff. And once she saw the science with far infrared, she's like, okay, hey, you know, you know, ship me that, bring that on. And so we ended up. So it's just an interesting story because we. She was interested in what we've done today.
Yeah.
But was willing because of the science to introduce the world to signature at that time. It was our signature luxury which she had on her show. And then Dr. Oz came on and talked about the heart benefits and the data and the science as the expert. So side story. But then when we launched Impulse in 2010 and then we enhanced it over the years and brought red light in because we know that people want to see the red light versus the invisible light. So we added that to the entire spectrum. So now you can have the highest quantity of, far highest quantity of mid. And the right frequency because frequency matters. I mean we are, you know, we are energy beings. Frequency 100% matters. And the, the precise frequency is what we deliver. And then we also have the highest quantity, the highest frequency of near infrared. And same with red light. You can have that all on in the impulse, which is the one that I use at home and that's the.
One that I do, I use as well. And I, I'll bring my kids in for a few moments and it, it truly feels like an exhale. And I love that you call it in some of the science on that because, gosh, when we look at this through the lens of an astronaut or the studies that NASA is doing where these people who are basically void of any connection to circadian rhythm, any connection to nature whatsoever, and they can see a positive influence to their mitochondria and their healing and their energy and function and all of those things. So it's really powerful. And I want to go back, you mentioned a lot of symptoms in there too. And I think that in our world today, it's so great that we're talking about, you know, cardiovascular disease, hormonal dysfunction, aging and longevity and not feeling good and brain fog and issues with our mood and. Right. But instead if you flip that over and you address your mitochondrial health in the modern day world in and of itself can cause mitochondrial dysfunction. And we don't think about that as being a source point of beginning with. We instantly want to go and find a symptom, blame the symptom, blame our body and use a targeted symptomatic approach instead of addressing the deeper cellular body within us. And that's definitely something that you feel in your saunas. And I hope that people understand that it's not just the act of going and sitting in a really, really hot sauna and sweating your buff and thinking that that's a good thing. Although there are benefits. It's really this light therapy as you merge it with the heat that feels so powerful. So tuning into all of those symptoms that I just mentioned, you and I can speak to inflammation really as being the root cause of all of the chronic disease that we're seeing today. What does the research show about how condition consistent infrared impacts inflammation and recovery and heart health? It's not like a, you know, go use it once a month and then you'll reap all the benefits. What are you seeing?
Yeah, so inflammation. And that's another hallmark of aging. And I mean, actually out of all of the hallmarks, it's, you know, the most prevalent. Right. Like it's the most dangerous. And it's definitely, if you can get that under control, a great way to turn back the clock. A couple of things to mention on inflammation is far infrared. Now that we've talked about the different wavelengths, I feel like I can, you know, separate them out for everyone. Far infrared activates a gene inside our body that controls inflammation.
No way.
Yeah. So it's extremely powerful. And what's great is you don't have to. It's not something when you're exposing your bodies to infrared. Of course, consistency is important. Just like any change that you want us, when you want to see a change and transformation. But you don't need to have be in there for like an hour. You know, I mean, if you can be in there for 30 minutes, you know, or 40, 40 is kind of a sweet spot, that's great. But also of the research and all of the studies show that the energy, it connects with your body right away and that, that, that connection leads to change. So you don't. This whole mindset that I've got to, you know, work out for an hour, I've got to do this for like all these things. Reality is we, we don't need to do it for that long in order to see a benefit. You know, and so many people. Here's the other thing, Mona. So many people resist doing something because they mentally tell themselves they don't have the time and you don't need it. Yeah, yeah, you don't need extensive amount of time. And you can, you can go inside your sauna while you're doing other things. So you don't have to separate it out. If you, if one of your routines, for example, something I'm, you know, really into lately is meditation. So I do meditations on my sauna because I'M gonna do it anyway, so why don't I. Do you know that? Or. Love, love, love, love, love, breath, work. And instead of, like, sitting on my bed, you know, like, okay, I'm just gonna. Instead of sitting in my bed, I'm gonna go downstairs and do the same exercise inside the sauna. I'm getting, like, exponentially more benefits to being in my bedroom.
Oh, so true.
Yeah.
Let's hover on the challenge that people feel too, because often when someone starts asana therapy protocol, it can feel really intense. It can feel like they can't breathe properly because it's a hormetic stressor. But I promise you, and I can speak for so many of my clients where by session four, five, six and beyond, all of a sudden, your sympathetic system kind of dissolves and you're in your parasympathetic system of just breathing. Your body can kind of acclimate to the fact that you're doing something that's therapeutic, especially if you're merging it with a different practice like breath work or meditation. And yeah, those are all really great things to note. And I think that from the two prime kind of aspect of that is one, the detoxification that's happening that you mentioned, but also the wavelength of light that is communicating to your cells, when your body comes back into track, it can function better. And when it functions better, it can process a lot of the toxins and things like that that we're exposed to in today's modern world, which are the source of the inflammation. As a nutritionist, whenever I get my clients blood labs back or if I'm lucky, I get a total toxic burden test, so I can really see if I'm dealing with something specific. But more often than not, the people who will go on a sauna protocol can actually feel a difference by about session four or five. And for a lot of my clients, I'm not a big proponent on stepping on a scale, but some of my clients will do it just to really understand the inflammation levels within their body. And they'll see the number go down because their body's able to eliminate and process. And it's not just water loss. It's literally your body coming back on track to eliminate at a higher functioning level. And I love that you brought up your practice in the sauna. For some reason, meditating in a sauna is the hardest thing for me to do. I don't know. So I turned my.
I love you sharing that. Because people always say to me, like, they. They are so intimidated. Do you Find. And I find that like, meditation is the most intimidating, you know, behavior or practice or whatever you want to call it, modality for so many people. And I always, I always say when I ask, you know, what are some things that you do? Insect. And it, you know, I've done so many things over the years, it just happens to be a moment in time, you know, where we sit today, having this conversation that meditation is one of my, my personal favorites. But I always preface it that it doesn't have to be this, this complicated thing and whatever happens while you're in that state, it's okay.
Absolutely.
Yeah. I just encourage people to consider doing that. And I, I find it, you know, it's for me that it is an easy place for me to, you know, to meditate and to get grounded and just to just to really get started with my day.
Well, it makes sense, right? You're, you're sitting in a box, essentially. It's a perfect time for you to sit in stillness. And I think a lot of people might have the expectation that, oh, Mona probably just sits in there, meditates for 20 or 30 minutes. But for me, I'm either listening to something spiritual or educational. And I have a feeling when I think about my body purging, this was unexpected. I often have these like, incredibly therapeutic mentally releasing sessions in my sauna where I'll either have a good cry, which is also a release. And that was really unexpected for me, but it kind of just makes sense. I'm giving myself the opportunity to purge what no longer serves me. So it's not just happening, happening cellularly or physically. It's happening emotionally and spiritually as well, which I never, never thought would happen in my sunlight and sauna. So I really look at it as a source of release. And I think for a lot of people they might feel that way maybe that sauna time is emotional or spiritual for them because it has such a profound effect on our nervous system and our emotional resilience. And gosh, this year more than any before, I know all of our listeners can relate. It's been a stressful year. You know, I'm sure a lot of us personally in our society, our communities, globally as well. So having a resource like this, if you're able to get asana in your home, I think is probably the, the greatest investment that you can make for yourself and your family, honestly would now having one, I don't think I could ever live without one. Just knowing how therapeutic it is for me or for a lot of my clients who don't have access, going somewhere and scheduling it into their calendar with consistency has also been a really great game changer. Do you hear this a lot from your customers on the fact that it feels like an emotional release or something that's associated with their spiritual aspect as well?
I do. In fact, I just recently did a talk to a group of executives and the talk was about stress and executive burnout and the data. So I created the talk myself. So, like, I did research on, you know, what, what, what is the data behind burnout or executive burnout or stress and how does it. To connect, you know, and. Oh my goodness, Mona. Like the, the, the percentages, it's really astounding. The percentages, the high percentages of people today who are so burnt out. So then that burnout leads to negative thoughts, at least to depression, it leads to overeating, at least to all sorts of other things. And the reason I'm sharing all this is because I didn't talk about sunlight at all in my talk. I mean, I, it was one of my tools, my solutions to help get your ma. Your nervous system from fight or flight state into the parasympathetic state. But it was just one of the cog and the, you know, one tool of the cog. But when I was done, the number of people, gosh, it just makes me weepy. Like when I saw the crowd, because the number of people that shared their stories of like they were asking me, is it normal to feel like, almost like this, like, euphoria? Is it normal to feel emotional? Is it normal to like all these different things? And it is that purge. Like I, when people ask me how I feel, I always feel lighter afterwards. Like my brain feels clearer. So that brain fog, or not even brain fog, a lot of times it's because I do it in the morning. A lot of times it's, it's not fog. It's overabundance of thoughts in my head because I, I want to accomplish so many things that day. And so I'm just, you know, and then when I get inside my sauna, like the sense of gratitude that I have, first of all by having the opportunity to be in there. And then you go into all sorts of levels of gratitude and, and that's, that's, that's emotional, right? You just think, you know, like we were talking about before, I have a senior in high school and there's times I go in there and I'm just like, just. I'm so grateful for the opportunity, you know, to, to, to enjoy Exponentially this, this year with him and with Aaron. So I think it's perfectly normal to have spiritual, to have, you know, emotional experiences. And my personal favorite is just that levity, that feeling when I get done of, I just feel lighter. I feel lighter of my brain, I feel lighter. My body, I. I feel like that. That lightness then leads to increased energy and clarity and peacefulness.
So good. What a great bonding opportunity for your family. I've noticed that. That as well.
Yeah.
But, yeah, if we're not speaking to stress regulation or resilience or nervous system resilience or emotional resilience, when we're speaking to health and wellness and eliminating your suffering or your symptoms, to feel your best or even longevity, we're missing the boat completely on what it takes to get there. So that was a beautiful, beautiful surprise. So for listeners, listeners who might be. Let's say that again, for listeners who are brand new to infrared therapy, what's the best way to begin in terms of duration and frequency? And let's throw in hydration since we started talking about that before we hopped on too.
Yeah. The best way to begin is to start low and slow. You don't necessarily know unless you've had extensive blood work or you're working with, you know, a functional medicine physician or that you're working with somebody like yourself. You, you probably don't know exactly what's going on in your body. Right. You don't know if your sink is clogged. So it's really helpful to start, you know, low, low temperatures and slow, like workups, like 10 minutes, and see how you feel. You know, more often than not, you feel great and your body starts to crave more. So that's, you know, lean into that. But always don't, you know, because you just don't. It just like my brother, I think, brings me back to that when he was so sick, it took him so long because he was so sick, and so he had to be careful that he didn't, you know, completely upset everything by going full throttle. So, you know, pay attention to that. You'll know within your body, you'll know how your body. Your body is amazing as far as kids communication, as long as you listen to it. So that would be my first tip. My second is hydration. That is the most important. I mean, out of everything that you do, it's important to hydrate before and after. If you would like to do it during, that's great too. People ask me about that and then definitely terrain. I'd love to hear your thoughts on minerals and electrolytes. But you know, my personal opinion is to, you know, definitely take some type of electrolyte product because while we're helping, you know, purge the body of toxic elements, you know, you're also going to be starting those detox pathways and it's very possible that you could be removing some of the important minerals in your body as well. So you want to replenish that. And, and then my other tip for somebody who's getting started is to find like it's great if you're going to incorporate this to kind of get, find a time where you can make it a habit so it's in your lifestyle. And again, it doesn't have to be. Don't think in, in chunks of an hour, 45 minutes, 30 minutes, think some bite sized chunks. I, I'm going to do this for 10 minutes, you know, just 10 minutes. Just get started. And consistency beats intensity. Consistency is key. Do it as often as you can, work it in and be consistent with it.
So beautiful. Yeah. And I would say, you know, schedule it on the days where you need support, where you need a little bit more support.
Oh, I love that.
Yeah. And that way, you know, you're doing something to help boost you rather than the caffeine or the stress that you know you're going to encounter. And when we think about, you know, what's happening right now is that there's all these accolades that people go for. You know, I made it to, it was a 45 minute session or 60 minute session. A lot of my fasters do this. It made it to 72 hours like a bright. Right. It's like, well, it's not about that. This is like therapy. It's a spiritual experience for your body as well. Don't go for that. Go for what your body needs. And to your point, a lot of my clients, when they start out a protocol, it could cause you to feel a little bit off or to maybe get some headaches or to be urinating a little bit more frequently. But often for those clients, when I do some deeper investigating, genetically they're poor detoxifiers, which is really fascinating. So if that is you or you've experienced that in the past, one of the other greatest investments in your health is finding a lymphatic drainage therapist who can support you in eliminating toxins and activating those detox pathways efficiently so that you get the full, all the rewards from, from your infrared. And yeah, minerals are key. So minerals, what I'm studying about them is there's Actually direct association with mineral intake. Adequate mineral intake, your brain function, your energy, your mood, your mitochondrial function as well, your hormones. And, you know, we live in a world where our soil is becoming nutrient deficient. So, yeah, electrolytes are good quality brands are really, really great. But merge them with minerals, and that's when I think you've. You've become more hydrated at a cellular level as opposed to just chugging more water that might taste a little bit better. So, yeah, minerals are key. What's a powerful healing story that you've witnessed through sunlight? You mentioned your brother. Any transformational stories that you can share?
I have a lot of them, one that always comes to mind. One of my favorites is Leanne Rimes. And I share her story because, you know, she is someone that essentially lived in that chronic stress for the majority of her life in the fight or flight state. Because she, you know, she started performing. She was 14 and was just constantly in this, this, you know, this state. And it really wasn't until her. Her physician. Mindy.
Mindy. Yeah, I was gonna say. Do you know the story?
Yeah, yeah, Dr. Mindy, Dr. Minnie palace told her about infrared. And she always says it's like happiness in a box because she, she struggles and this is. She serves us publicly. So this is nothing that, that, that, you know, you can't find it. She struggles with anxiety and, and depression and just she. She's finding ways to get her brain and her nervous system out of the fight or flight state, you know, into the parasympathetic. However, she still has to work at it, right? Like, it's still. I mean, it's been happening for so long that she goes back in. To the sympathetic state, you know, really easily. And so she has to find ways. And one of the greatest ways that she can is. Is, you know, by using her sauna. And she always. My favorite thing she says, besides happiness in a box is that those moments. And I loved how you said, choose a time when you need support, because that's exactly what she does. There's moments where she's really struggling and she feels like, in her own words, something like, I feel like the world's about to crash and everything's just, like, going to, you know, just. I'm just going to have, like, a meltdown, and I will go inside my sauna, and then I come out and, like, everything's happier. And I know that now I can accomplish anything and conquer, you know, all of my fears. So that's a. Just a great story that I know. So Many people can relate to. Because may, you know, obviously it may not be that you're a performer since you're 14, but if you, I mean, I know from doing that executive burnout presentation, all these people are just living in that state of stress. So much so as, you know, so much so that their body is getting numb to it. Like they're, they're spending so much more time like with their, their nervous system is so out of whack, you know, so, so that's, that's one. One.
Yeah, one story.
I mean there's, there's, there's a lot of athlete stories that are powerful of people that, you know, used our product to, you know, get back on the field. To get back. I mean, there's lots of those. I tend to like, you know, the more of the confidence building stories people share that, you know, for example, I can think of one of our customers who used to call me, this is a long time ago. But we helped her lose weight and it literally like her confidence and her, her self esteem, her self love changed so much because she was able to do things that she couldn't do before, like walk extensive amounts of time because of the, you know, infrared energy on her body. And that change led to so many other things. Right. I think that's the thing that I love hearing stories from people because it's not just a switch, it's a journey that has so many different milestones in it that we, you know, and the impact of everybody along that journey. I mean, you think about that as a mom, like we're both, you know, mothers and you know, they always say like, you're only as happy as your, what, saddest child. And you know, and so if you can find ways to boost your mood and help support yourself if it's whether it's weight loss or it's heart health or it's sleep. We haven't talked about sleep, but just to mention that sleep is so, it's just so critical to have a sleep routine and to do the right things for sleep. And we know there's a connection between infrared and your hrv. So. And you can monitor that. You know, you can, you can, you know, monitor your heart rate variability and you can monitor your sleep score if you keep track of your sleep score. And you can definitely see a connection between when you use your sunlight and sauna and both your HRV and your sleep score, which helps your overall nervous system. Going back to the nervous system. Yeah, you know, it's just so, it's so Great. Critical. We take care of ourselves and we train our brain today for the future. It's just really important to me to, to show that no matter what you're doing, you know, if. If whether it's infrared or not infrared, when your choices of what you tell yourself, what you think about, how you center yourself, you know, just making sure you're doing it to feed, you know, the, the goodness in your brain and to retrain your brain in a, in a positive, with a positive mindset with power than the self, you know, destructive potential, things that we say to ourselves. So.
No. Beautiful, beautiful share. You know, the longer that I do this, I honestly am realizing that in much of my own healing journey that a lot of the dysfunction that we feel in our bodies and our mind, in our organs really stems from some point of dysregulation within our body and our nervous system. And how in today's modern world, we've really become addicted to living in this sympathetic state. And likely in, you know, my, my happy place, my comfort zone was in that sympathetic overdrive. It's familiar to me and it feels energizing. And, you know, that distraction is. Causes me to turn off all the other, all the other noise in my life, right. But gosh, we cannot run a marathon for, for life, right? So that burnout is something that's so relevant and the storytelling is so key. So I love that you brought up different points and I love, you know, all of the athletes and celebrities and doctors and longevity experts who are really bringing this mainstream. But I also think that it's the stories that are going to resonate, resonate with people, to allow them to step in to a modality. So an example would be a client of mine that I was speaking to yesterday. He's had this beautiful session of doing contrast therapy, hot cold therapy for the past two years. But he's also been somebody who's been under a considerable amount of stress. His blood labs are showing inflammation. It's resulting in, you know, he's feeling more anxiety, poor sleep, like he's just on this decline. And what we did is we ended up taking out the cold therapy and instead just focused on like shorter sessions in his infrared sauna. And sure enough, his HRV is starting to increase, which is what we want to see. His deep sleep is starting to go up again. So again, when you tune into the things that work for you, it's about uncovering something that works for you. And I can imagine, even for you, somebody who's so seasoned in this, your sessions, you probably honor what your body needs at different seasons. Right. Some days, you know, if it's like, no, today's not going to be a 20 minute session or a 30 minute session and you trust that it's not about going for these numbers that society is telling us that we need to go for. It's really an internal job of discovering what supports us from the inside out.
Yeah, completely. And there's. I can't even tell you how many times, you know, I have a vision of what my session is going to look like. But then, yeah, I get in there and I mean there's been the fact that sometimes people I'm sure at some like don't want me bringing my phone because I come up with all this, you know, all these creative ideas and all this potential extra work. But I just become so inspired and I think so much of it is because the creative juices and my brain functions and neurons in my brain start to be activated and so I'm able to think of things that I. You can't do when you're like, you physically cannot operate with mental clarity when you are in that adrenaline state continuously. And there's this great statistic I, I have to get it to you afterwards, but that I, I can't rattle off the top of my head. But it essentially says that the length of time, like on your nervous system that you like, it's so short of the amount of time that you are in that sympathetic state and as well as the length of time that if you're feeling sad, like there's all sorts of connections between the length of time. If you're, you're training your brain to be in a different modality, like you need to find ways to get out of that.
You got it?
Yeah, there's a lot of great data on, on, on that I'd love to share. I just need to pull it up.
Yeah, yeah, we should, we can absolutely share that as well. But I couldn't agree more. Or you know, when you have a ritual in your life that feels like plugging into to source, gosh, that's more powerful than any modality out there. And you know, expect the other results that we've mentioned today. You know, you touched on cellulite, which we have to go back to. That's a byproduct. When you optimize circulation and the removal of toxins, your cellulite will go down. For a lot of my clients. I'm sure you can share with yours as well, you know, improvements in their skin health because their Body is becoming more clear. Improvement in their brain function. Improvement in things like fat loss as well, because your body's coming back on track. So expect those things too, or tune into them. If those are. It's okay to have those as goals as well. You get the full picture here.
Yeah. I call near infrared the vanity wavelength. And it's perfectly fine. It's perfectly fine to feel that way and to acknowledge. I mean, I used to, I to.
Used.
Used to go in black back when there's not as many black tie affairs or events, fundraising events anymore. But there, there was. And we would, you know, we would go to a lot of them and contribute in our Kansas City community. And I always go inside my sonnet and I would put my face right up next to the near infrared LEDs, you know, and I'd be just like, okay, do your stuff. You know, and it, you know, it. I still do that, but it, like, it. That was a part of a ritual and that I would do for, you know, skin tightening and skin. Skin purification and just overall skin health. Because it's so mental. Right. If you feel that your skin, you know, looks good, then yeah, mentally, it just changes the way that you present your skin yourself.
Absolutely. And look, we all want to see those immediate kind of results that we can see and feel as well. But bottom line, when we go back to everything that you and I have talked about today, you know, do some research, if you're listening to this, look at all the studies on how consistent infrared sauna sessions are actually linked to lower, lower risk of dementia, lower risk of cardiovascular mortality. And honestly, just what happens when we. It's one of the oldest healing languages out there. Right? Heat, light and rest. Heat, light and rest. And you do those every single time you're in your sauna. So it's worth, it's worth closing on that. Let's leave it at that.
I love it.
Yeah. So let's wrap things up by, you know, first letting our audience know if they go to getsunlightened.com Mona, they can use copy code Mona for a discount and just make this the. The investment in your health, your energy, your happiness and your mood. We'll put all the links in the show notes below. I would love to see in you and your husband when you're here in person as well.
Definitely.
Yeah. We should do this in the sauna, right?
That would be amazing. Oh, my God. We can all share some of our, like, personal, you know, personal stories of things, different things that we've done. That'd be so fun.
You got it. Well, in closing, let's close this off with. You know, what's something that you're most excited about in the future?
Gosh, so many things. But first, we have a product. I won't share what it is. My team would kill me. But we have a product that's coming out soon that everybody is going to love. It's, it's. It's accessible, it is more focused on light energy, and we'll leave it at that. I won't say anything more, but I love it. I. I'm super. So here's why I'm excited. I'm super excited about it because the space that we're going into is very noisy and there's not a lot of. It's like the wild west. Like, what you talking about? Not a lot of science and, and not a lot of credible sources. And so one of the benefits now, over all these years of doing this, it wasn't this way in the basement by any means, but we have so much wisdom and so many things to be able to share on making products, making them the right way and making them with the right materials that are safe and healthy and healing and with no exposure to toxins. And so I'm just excited that we're bringing it forth. It's long overdue, and I'm sorry to people for waiting this long to bring it out, but I'm really, I'm really, really looking forward to it. So that's a product that I'm, you know, really looking forward to. And, you know, I think that as far as the time of year, I always a heat person. So, like, we're in Kansas City and we're starting to get, you know, out of the heat season. So I have to think about all the other positive things, you know, that are going on and, and just embracing. You know, there's a holiday season and right now we're in soccer playoffs for my youngest son. And my oldest son is about to start his final year of swim. And so just leaning into the positive aspects of what's around me and being present and every time and showing up with a grateful heart.
Such a good reminder for all of us. And I love the teaser at the end. Gotta love a good teaser at the end. I can't wait to hear more about that. And yeah, honestly, I see two things all the time. The future has to be about fiber and about. About frequency. And I think that everything we talked about today was about frequency. So thank you so much for your energy and I will say on a personal note, it's really the intention behind you and Zach that makes your brand a little bit different. So I can't wait to see what the new product is, because I know it's going to be connected to that. So thank you, Connie, for being with us today.
Thanks. I know. I can't wait.
I can't wait.
You ever in Kansas City, you have to look us up.
Absolutely. Yeah. All right, let me end this.
