Ben Azadi says eating every two to three hours doesn't boost metabolism, it just keeps your body burning sugar and spiking insulin. Mona Sharma used to obsess over food when her health was bad. Both argue for eating in a defined window instead of constant grazing.
The average person was eating 17 to 23 times per day. We're not designed to snack and graze all day long. One of the things that I was taught was that when you eat every two to three hours, you know, boost your metabolism and it's good for digestion, balance your blood sugar, not necessarily constant glucose and insulin hits. And that's not really going to be supporting your metabolism. It's actually going to make you more of a sugar burner to rely on food every, every few hours.
So when my health was at its worst, I didn't tell you this, but I thought about food all the time and like there's, I ate and I was just thinking about the next meal. So now when I work with my, my clients, I can really like, oh yeah, I was there. This can pass.
The goal is to lower it and have it within eating window and no snacking in between those meals.
