The #1 Reason Your Wellness Plan Isn’t Working (for Women)

Mona Sharma and Alisa Vitti discuss why standard wellness plans fail women. The key: your body runs on a monthly infradian rhythm, not a 24-hour cycle. Your diet, exercise, and schedule need to shift with each phase of your menstrual cycle.

I love a concept that you say, which is that women don't have to suffer. A menstrual cycle shouldn't have to make you suffer. And yet it's that you know the same story of oh, but it's so common, so it must be normal. It's not normal. So we have to make infradian rhythm go viral to end suffering for women. So I'm hearing you say then that a woman based on her lifestyle and learn her lifestyle practices, and I know you're going to talk about diet also, at different times during her cycle, she's able to own and take her power back of what she should be doing during that time.
Whole thing is your menstrual cycle and when you're bleeding, that's your bleeding phase. So you have sort of different levels of estrogen in the follicular phase. Then you have a surge of estrogen and luteinizing hormone and FSH in the ovulatory phase. And then we move into the luteal phase where progesterone.
My favorite.
Hormone, enters the party and changes everything, everything about how you're thinking and feeling and operating. And then after a 10 to 12 day period when there is no, let's say, moment of conception, then we reach our lowest levels of all hormones, which triggers the release of the endometrial lining. So you have these different hormonal ratios and they make you feel differently as you go through the cycle.
