Mona Sharma explains how unprocessed emotions create a loop of stress in your body, keeping your nervous system stuck in fight-or-flight mode. Modern culture treats busyness like success, which locks you deeper into this state. The fix: notice the hypervigilance, stop wearing stress as a badge, and deliberately activate your parasympathetic nervous system to rest and recover.

Now moving forward if you don't process that emotion, that feeling every time there's a resonance of that feeling coming up again. The humiliation, the fear, the worry, the excitement, the stressors. It's like reliving that tone again the frequency within your body. So throughout the day you might shift into fight, flight, freeze pretty consistently and you're not even noticing that you're there because you're not deregulating. You're not adopting that resilience within the body to regulate your nervous system. And I would say this is probably one of the biggest pillars that I spend with my clients. One helping them even become aware that they're living in that hypervigilant state and that they don't have to wear it as a badge of honor anymore. They don't have to be busy because we, we celebrate busyness in our world. We see busy as a sign of success when that's the opposite case and I get them back into their parasympathetic nervous system where they can rest and digest.
