Hey there, sovereigns! Monica Grace from cardreadingqueen.com here, and I wanted to do a quick unboxing of a new deck I got. So this deck I ordered several months ago, it just arrived a couple, you know, within the last week or two to my home, and it is called the Solaris Tarot deck. It's basically a Star Wars-inspired deck is what I understand of it. It is by Virgo Witch, so Virgo like the zodiac sign, so V-I-R-G-O, and then witch is two V's and then I-T-C-H. So you can look up her store if you'd like, um, and her name, I don't want to mispronounce it, but it's something like Alethean, I think. Um, so anyway, I I don't typically order decks from people I don't know, but I am a huge Star Wars fan, so that was what kind of excited me about this deck. And then it was like a, you know, an affordable price. It wasn't, you know, it wasn't a crazy amount for me, so I just figured I would take a shot, take a chance on this deck, and just hope for the best. So we're gonna open it up. I have no idea really what to expect. But I thought it would be fun to do it as an unboxing. So let's get started. I need scissors, of course. Typically you're going to need scissors to open a box, obviously. So let me get this going. It's a really cute sticker, by the way. It says Aletheia. That's what I was saying earlier. All right, let's just check out this. And we need— I'm going to pull this Um, really pretty wrapping. I love the black. I love the sticker. It's really cute. Okay, here we are. Oh, okay, and then there's some stuff at the bottom. Let's see. Oh, it's a really cute bookmark. Very nice. Um, with some stuff on the back. Okay, perfect. So let me set that aside. Um, I'm hesitant to come at this with scissors because I don't want to scratch or ruin anything. Um, trying to find a spot to open it though. Yeah, it's a little tight, huh? Okay, this may take a minute. I'm just gonna do this. So this is kind of— this is kind of tough, um, because I don't want to damage the box. But okay, so there's an opening. Yeah, it's like some of these shrink-wrapped boxes can get a little tricky to open. So, but I know that's not typically the creator's fault, it's just you know how things go when they order it. Okay, so we got this really beautiful box. I love this. So let me bring that up. I don't think that's working. Okay, I think it's a little hard to see, um, but it's got like kind of a gold shimmering on it, um, really pretty moon stuff on the sides. I think that's really nice. Um, stars over here. Solaris. Immerse yourself in the ethereal art of Lithian. I'm sorry, I feel like I totally mutilated that. Every card is delicately crafted with the utmost care, inspired by Star Wars. Um, it's a Rider-Waite-derived deck, so let's check it out. Um, really, this is like really high quality. I love the texture of this as well. It's really smooth. Ooh, I'm kind of— I don't know, I feel like there's some shimmering something on here. It could also just be I was touching it, but wow, these are really gorgeous. Like, look at it. These cards are so pretty. Oh my goodness. Gorgeous. Magician, the High Priestess, the Empress. Wow. These are like really pretty. Definitely, and they feel like amazing too is the other thing. It's like a very soft, almost like cloth-like satin texture. It's really, really nice. Okay, so this is the Major Arcana. Oh my goodness, there's Rey. Here's Kylo Ren. Like I said, I'm just a massive Star Wars fan, so I'm loving this. Okay, so this is what I thought. So these are all in color, these Major Arcana cards, and they're gorgeous, by the way. Um, this, this card, I don't know what card this is. Let's see, we got the World, and then this is just like an extra card. It looks like— I'm not sure, I will have to look up what this is. Um, so then we have the Aces. Ace of Cups. It looks like it's pretty much just doing, you know, doing the same image over and over again. I'm totally fine with that. Nothing wrong with that. However, I would not say that's a Rider-Waite style of deck. That's just not, not, you know, and it's because it's not. That's not— this is more— I forget what this style is. I think it's I forget what it's called, but it's the Rider-Waite style is definitely more imagery for each of these. So I would just say that if this is a deck of interest to you, it is really gorgeous. I just want to, you know, be, be clear on that. So we've got these— this the Page of Cups, Knight of Cups, Queen of Cups, and King of Cups. So that is really nice. I really like that they are different characters from Star Wars. Okay, so now we have the Pentacles. Um, we've got a cube here as the Pentacles. Very nice. Um, and again, you know, we've got— these are all, um, you know, just, just face value type cards. Um, and so then we got the Page of Pentacles, Knight of Pentacles, Queen of Pentacles, and King of Pentacles. Um, I do want to say as well, these are slightly different colors. So this is a bluish tint, this is a purple tint, this is a black tint, and then the last one is kind of like— it looks like also kind of a purplish tint. Um, could get a little confusing because this is swords and this is, um, wands, so that could be a little confusing for some people if you're not as familiar, but it does say on— it says on here what the suit is, so You know, not, not super confusing, I wouldn't say. Okay, so we again have the Page, the Knight, Obi-Wan, Queen of Swords, and then the King of Swords. And then we've got the Aces— or sorry, the Ace of Wands, Wands suit. And then, oh, Ten of Wands, very nice. Got the Page of Wands, Knight of Wands, Queen of Wands, King of Wands. Okay, so this is a pretty cool deck, I would say, overall. Definitely not for beginners, probably more for Star Wars fans if you are a fan of Star Wars, only because the imagery on the, on the minor arcana is not going to give you very much information about what the, what the card actually means, and so you're not, you know, looking at this you're not really going to be able to tell like, well, what's the Three of Wands? Like, I know what that means because I I read tarot regularly. If you know, this is not going to be a beginner deck though, because if you don't know what that means, you're just gonna be like, okay great, how do I interpret this card? There's not gonna be any symbolism on it to help you. Additionally, I haven't looked too closely at these characters that are on each of the, the like the, you know, Page Page, Queen, King. I would say, I would say I don't know if they necessarily correspond to the, to the meaning of those cards either. So, so that's, that's the Minor Arcana. I think, you know, unless you really know your meanings, I would probably say this is not ideal for you. Unless you're, you know, unless you're a Star Wars fan and you just want to try it. Um, these cards, let's look at these. So I, I'm a little confused by this card because I don't, I don't know what this card is supposed to be. Um, I think it's just an extra, and I think she might have put that in the listing as well. I'm not sure, I can't remember. Um, so these cards look pretty good. Um, and by the way, this is gorgeous. These cards are so gorgeous, I can't even express to you how gorgeous they are. But we got like Temperance. Um, so like these major Major Arcana cards are definitely showing the actual meaning. So you've got Temperance, which is typically a card of balance, and the image represents that. So you see Rey and Kylo Ren and how they're kind of like the balance between, you know, good and evil, light and dark, however you want to explain it in the Star Wars mythology. We've got the Tower, the two of them falling. So there's a lot of imagery here. Justice, definitely, you know, you could definitely get a Justice meaning from this card and so on. Like the World, you know, obviously she's at the end. The Star, the Moon. Yeah, so this is, this is pretty good. I do think that these images are just, I mean, A, they're gorgeous, and B, they're useful. So that to me is an important thing. So anyway, this deck is gorgeous. It feels really good. Um, all the cards are great. I'm gonna give this a shuffle. I'm really actually a little nervous to shuffle these because they feel so good, but I'm just gonna give them a shuffle and see if they shuffle well. I think that's important. Um, yeah, these are shuffling really nicely, and I'm a little surprised because they are so decadent to be frank. Um, like, they're really, really beautiful cards. I can't even explain. These are high, like, top-notch, high-quality cards for an indie deck, and just absolutely gorgeous. These feel great. Um, yeah, I think it's shuffling pretty well, and you can see, like, you can kind of see, like, the Major Arcana are mixed in with the Minor now. Really, really nice. So just see how they flip as well. Yeah, these are shuffling just beautifully is the best way to describe that. Now they are a little sticky at this point. Let me see if I can shuffle because I'm trying not to bend them. Oh yeah, they work. All right, I'm gonna end this here. My battery's running out, but, um, really cool deck.
