Hey everyone. Welcome to Made for Mondays. I'm so glad you're with us. This is the last leg of Necessary Endings and I pray that it's been encouraging to you and enlightening for you and insightful for you as well. So let's jump into our last necessary ending today. Don't forget, if you haven't purchased the book Necessary Endings, you can do so on Amazon. Just search Necessary Endings Justin Lester and you can grab a hold of the book Necessary Endings as we take more of a much longer dive into Necessary Endings and talk about these endings at length. And I talk about how I practice them. But today let's talk about the last necessary ending, the ending to your last plan. Necessary Ending, the last part. The ending to your last plan. Take a moment and think of the best planner that you know. I mean, really think about it. Think about how their plans have changed the trajectory of world and culture. Can I tell you this? Plans are great, but plans don't leave legacy. No one remembers great planners. We remember great doers. See, doers are the planners who get things done. Doers are the ones who change cultures. Doers are the ones who find vaccines. Doers are the ones who lead the march. Doers do it. I gotta go to Scripture. One day, Jesus was continuing this marvelous leadership of disciples. And after he led them on a tour of healing and teaching, he pauses and tells them, do not worship the lessons or the healing. But he says, I want you to do it. Matthew 9:35,38 says this. Jesus went to all the towns and villages, teaching at their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, healing every disease and sickness. And when he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to the disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into the field. It's a powerful story. Jesus checks his disciples and tells them, you are too comfortable with people coming to me instead of you realizing what you have yourself. You, Jesus says, I've given you authority to heal and change. But they were waiting for Jesus to do all the hard work. And for Jesus and his disciples, he's saying, there's a harvest of souls and people they were missing out on by not capitalizing on the opportunity to do the hard work. There's too much of an untapped opportunity left alone because of laziness in our world. People who need to hear our thoughts and people who need to hear your insight into the and understand the bold colors you paint the world with. So as Jesus challenged his disciples, I want to challenge you that it is not that there are no opportunities and not that there aren't enough people. There just aren't enough workers to do the work. Simply put, the disciples were more caught up in planning how to save instead of actually doing the saving. Jesus is healed and set them free. So many people. And Jesus has produced results. And he looks at his disciples and tells the crowd, the crowd that loves the show, but the crowd that doesn't want to work. He says, here's how we get you past planning. Let me teach you how to pray. Because it's prayer. It's going to give us the harvest. The Lord says the harvest is there for the doers. So where are you? Are you in the crowd that's amazed by how good God is? Are you willing to activate your ability to complete the work that God's calling you to complete? The Lord says the harvest is there for the doers. Those who seek the harvest, those who seize the harvest, those who love harvest, those who want something in the harvest. Doing connects you back to your gift because your gift connects you back to God. What are you doing? You've got to be what you believe. You've got to keep learning. You've got to keep reading. What small things and distractions are around you. You that keep you comfortable from doing because you're comfortable with planning when you live a meaningful life and have meaning making experiences. You change the way you budget when you're doing and not just planning. You change your circle of friends when you are doing and not just planning. You change the opportunities that come up because you are living to create experiences. Make today a necessary ending in your life today. See the best days that are yet to come put in the work for the you that God created. So let me ask you this. What is the last thing that you've been told to do and complete? What is the last plan that you've been working on that you're tired of just working a plan? But you got a plan. You not just planning to work, but now you want to work the plan. What's keeping you from completing it? What are the barriers to your success? What experiences are you going to create? Let today be the last day you plan. Let today be the day you start doing. Well. I hope you were blessed today. Necessary Endings is my first book that I ever put out and it's from my heart to you. I pray that it encouraged you, enlivened something in you, pushed you to be all that you can be. End those things that are against you. Sometimes it's you jump into those things that are for you. God is on your side. Hey, let's say our affirmations today. Repeat after me. Say, I am me. I can be me. And no one's going to stop me from being me. You have an amazing Monday. Mondays don't own you. You own your Mondays. Run forward. Go see what God has in store. God bless.
