Nuseir Yassin explains how the UAE defended itself against Iranian missiles and drones. The THAAD system intercepted all 137 missiles. Of 209 drones, 94% were shot down, with only 14 getting through. The government banned public gatherings, enabled remote work, and sheltered 20,000 tourists at government expense.

The UAE received hundreds of drones and rockets in a day. The most out of every country. This is the story of how the UAE protects itself. First, from the outside, the UAE installed the Thaad missile system. Only five countries in the world have it. It's one of the best air defense system in the world. Out of 137 missiles shot at the country, Iran, 0 landed in the country. 0. And out of 209 drones launched at the UAE, 94% were intercepted. Only 6% got through. 14 drones.
Exactly. With total casualties of 3 out of 10 million population.
Then the UAE protected itself from the inside. They advised against public gatherings and gave
everyone the option to work remotely for two days.
And if danger is detected, every resident receives an alert on their phone in their local language to keep them safe.
Then the tourists at the airport.
Tourists were given food, water and shelter for free. All 20,000 of them in Abu Dhabi. The government told hotels, keep the tourists comfortable, extend their stays for free, and we will pay you for it. And private businesses also step in to help.
Everywhere else there is still law and order.
Restaurants are open and hotels are open, including my hotel, Nas House.
Thank you to the NAAS team in Dubai.
You rock. Tell everyone you know this is not a war between the Iranian people and the emiratis. There are 500,000 Iranians living in the UAE.
This is a war between builders and destroyers.
Those who want to build bridges, buildings and cities, and those who want to destroy them.
This is our chance to stand with builders. It may sound scary today, but I
am convinced after this week, the source of chaos is gone and a new Middle east is born. A safer, calmer and more stable Middle East. And all of you will want to visit and live in this Middle East.
