This is a YouTube video titled "i found the nicest prison in the world" created in August 2025. The content features a monologue describing a unique prison system in Greenland that emphasizes dignity and humane treatment of prisoners, allowing them freedom during the day and trusting them with keys, illustrating a progressive approach to incarceration.
This is the nicest prison in the world. In it, there are no jail cells, just rooms. And prisoners have the keys. They can leave during the day to go to school or work. They cook their own meals. They go grocery shopping. And if they escape, the staff literally calls them to come back to prison. It's cold. Come back in when you're ready. Okay. This prison is in Greenland, one of the coldest places on Earth and the warmest prison system. They believe dignity creates change. Even if you commit a crime and lose your freedom, you should not lose your dignity. Don't get me wrong. I believe in prisons and in real punishment. But let's learn from Greenland and build prisons that protect us without taking away people's dignity. That's one minute. See you tomorrow.
