Foxy Locks Hair Extensions Update | Natalie Nicole

In this vlog, Natalie Nicole provides a detailed nine‑year update on her three sets of Foxy Locks hair extensions. She walks through each set—first high‑school pair (≈22‑20 in, sandy blonde, dyed, repaired multiple times), second set (24‑in, sandy blonde, toned with Shimmer Lights, root‑matched), and newest set (20‑in, thick, improved clips). Natalie explains how long each set lasted, the activities she used them for (beach, jet‑skiing, daily wear), and the wear‑and‑tear they experienced, including clip repairs and color fading. She shares her hair‑care routine for both her natural hair and extensions, highlighting Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula shampoo/conditioner, OUAI detox shampoo, and occasional Shimmer Lights toning. She demonstrates straightening and curling the extensions before installation to protect her natural hair, discusses the weight of wearing all sets at once, and shows how she stores them in a Bellamy box for travel. Natalie also clarifies that the video is unsponsored, praises Foxy Locks for quality and price, and mentions a future interest in trying tape‑in extensions despite mixed advice. The vlog ends with a call for viewer suggestions and a reminder to like, comment, and subscribe.

Hi guys, what's up? It's Natalie. Welcome to or welcome back to my YouTube channel. So today I'm going to be doing an update on my Foxy Locks hair extensions as requested. Um, I have 3 sets of Foxy Locks hair extensions. I've had them for about 9 years. I started my first pair and I'm going to show you guys basically what they look like throughout time. I'll show you my first set, second set, and third set, and I show you how I straighten this pair and how I install them into my head. They're super easy. Without further ado, let's just jump into the video. Also, this video is not sponsored whatsoever. Okay, so this is my natural hair. Well, I straightened it, but this is basically what it looks like without any hair extensions, without a wig on, or anything added to my hair. It's just straightened. My natural hair is very curly, and my hair is very thin too because I've damaged it for so long. Um, and now I'm just like in the process of not really putting heat on it. This has been like the first day in a couple months, I would say, that I've put like serious heat like this on. Um, but my hair for the most part is kind of long. I think it'd be like medium length. My hair literally would not grow for the longest time, and it was just because I put so much heat on it. I would straighten my hair every single day for school and just dye it so many times, especially like bleach. So this is now like recovering hair, and I feel like it's very healthy for the most part. I switched like all of my shampoo and conditioner. I'll actually show you what shampoo and conditioner I use. So the shampoo and conditioner I use is this, um, Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula 1. It's really cheap, I think it's like $5, but everything in it is natural products, which I love. And then for the days that I put a lot of dry shampoo and conditioner, I've been using this detox shampoo by— I don't know how to say it— OUAI. Um, they sent me this and I've been absolutely loving it. So it's like a shampoo detox, um, if you wear a lot of, um, If you have a lot of product in your hair, like hairspray or dry shampoo, you put this in and it basically washes away and gets everything out. Um, obviously that's what shampoo does, but this one's just really, really good. Trust me. So I've been wearing hair extensions for about, I want to say I started wearing hair extensions in 7th grade, so 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 10th, 11th, 12th, college, college, college. 9 years, just about. So that's pretty crazy to me. I've tried so many different hair extension companies, um, but I finally found one I absolutely love, which is Foxy Locs. I, I cannot say enough good things about this brand because The quality of hair extension and the price— unbeatable. Unbeatable. So I have 3 sets of their hair extensions. My first ones I got in fresh— when I was a freshman in high school. Um, so that was about 6 years ago, 5 or 6 years ago. Um, I've been to the beach with the— I'll show you them. So these are what they look like. I've gone to the beach with these. I've, I've done basically everything. Jet skiing. I've worn these for so many days, like, without taking them out. I know that's really bad for your hair, but I've done that. Um, these have also been dyed. These are basically custom. I got these in sandy blonde, and then when my hair started growing out, I didn't want to bleach it again, so I just had my, um, hair girl put a root on it. These were the ones I used to wear in high school all the time. They were 22-inch, so they originally a little longer than this, I would say. Maybe they are 20-inch, I don't remember. But I've worn them so much, like, this was like one of the front pieces I put in my hair, but the damage has been done. But over the years, obviously they have broke. I've had to sew these back, the little clips. Um, some of them had fallen out, so I knew it was time to get another set of hair extensions because these lasted me, I want to say, 4 or 5 years. 4 or 5 years. Maybe I didn't get them— no, I don't think I got them freshman year because I remember going into high school with them. So these were my first pair and they lasted me so long. But I also wanted longer hair extensions, so I got another one, which I'll show you right now. This is my 24-inch set. This is Sandy Blonde, and I also tone them a lot. I tone them about 3 or 4 times since I've had them because I did not like how yellow they've got, so I wanted to just put Shimmer Lights in it. It worked definitely, but now some of them have like a weird ashy tone to them. Yeah, these have lasted me. They're still really full, and I've used these so much. Like, these go down to about like my hip, I would say. These are probably my favorite set. They last me so long. However, I did put this Root stuff in them. It was like a Root Fix because I wanted them to match my root at the top. So as you guys can see, like, where the band is, it's kind of dark, and they kind of just started getting gross. Um, But obviously you can wash your Foxy Locs as many times as you want. You can style them with heat. Um, I wish they just matched my hair a little bit better, like at the top. I'll put these in at the end so you guys can see, 'cause these are my favorite. Then I got these. These are my newest pair. I got these a couple months ago, I want to say. Probably— was it about a year? No, I don't even think it's been a year since I've had these. I love, love, love these. These are the 20-inch I feel like it's an older kind of look. My hair would be like just about right here, I want to say. These are still super thick, quality is amazing, and I feel like they've improved their clips over the years because these are perfect condition, which is amazing. If I put all my hair extensions in— I've done it once— my head is so heavy. But yeah, these are great. However, I do wish I had an ombre set if I were to get another another set, they would definitely be ombre because as you guys can see, my natural color— this is my natural color at the top. It's very dark brown. A couple videos back, someone asked me why I started wearing wigs and why I don't wear my hair extensions as much. Like I said, I'm just trying to keep my hair as healthy as possible. I'll wear my hair extensions if I'm trying to go for like a natural look. Basically, I'll keep my hair my natural curl because my hair is very curly, and I'll just curl my hair extensions to match it, which basically kind of looks like this. But yeah, Foxy Locks is a very good company. I could not say enough good things about them because I love them and I love the quality of them. I remember getting them, they shipped super fast too. I don't know if it's the same thing with like the pandemic and stuff, But that's what I remember. Um, they came super fast, and as you guys can see, I've had— oh, that hurt! Ow, ow. I've had these for a little under a year, and the ends are still pretty thick, which I love. I'm going to actually put these in because I like the look of them. Yeah, I like the sizing of these too. Even if you don't want to have like a massive— I know one of them has like a 5 clip weft. You can always cut it, so that's really nice too. And it's like an invisible weft too, so you don't see the band. So this is one of the big ones. It's a 5-clip weft. Oh wait, that's a 4. This is a 5-clip weft. You can always cut this if you want. I'm not going to, but yeah, still pretty good. I haven't even brushed these either, so, um, yeah, all of my hair extensions are very worn. And naughty. How I take care of my hair extensions: I have a box. I'll show you the box. I actually got it from one of the wigs I got, and I just keep all of my hair extensions in the box so I don't have to worry about them. So this is the box I keep them— keep it in. It's the Bellamy box that one of my hair extensions came with. Um, whenever I travel, I just put all my hair extensions in here so I can decide on if I really want long hair short hair or what I want. How I manage to wash my hair is— my hair extensions— is I use the shampoo I use on my hair, which is like an all-natural, very organic shampoo and conditioner, and I just lather them up. And then if I want to tone them, I use Shimmer Lights, but I've barely ever used the Shimmer Lights. You can straighten these, you can curl them, you can basically— oopsies— You can do anything your real hair would do because they are real hair. But I absolutely love this company. Look how long that is. That is just so, so long. Yeah, I'm gonna straighten all of these and then put them in my hair, I think, because I can't just have one straight piece and then not do the rest, you know? So I'm just gonna do a montage of me straightening all these and then put them in my hair. I'll also show you guys what they look like from the back. I'm not sure if they're blended because I kind of installed them not how I normally do, but whatever. As you guys can You can definitely notice my natural hair right here because it's a little bit darker than the rest. Um, that's why I normally curl my hair to match, um, just because right now my hair is going through like the weirdest stage ever. But yeah, but if I wanted to wear my hair extensions straight, obviously I just have to be a little bit more mindful. Just, that's just because of my hair. You can definitely send them back or whatever. Okay, so this is what my hair looks like with basically all of them. The only one I don't have is this two clip weft, which is supposed to go right here, except my hair is very thin on this side. It's a lot thinner than this side, so I don't feel the need to have to put this one here just because I don't want to worry about it showing or anything. But as you guys can see, these hair extensions they're long. And these I've had for a long time. These are my second set, so I want to say I've had these since— I want to say junior year. So I've had these for about either 5 or 4 years. I've gone to the pool, beach, everything with these, and they've lasted me, and they're still super thick. One thing I do do though is I like to straighten or curl them before before I put them in, just so I'm not damaging my hair. Like right now, I'm just gonna do the bottoms because I noticed a couple pieces, but I don't want it pulling on my natural hair when I straighten it. They're really good quality. Also, this video is not sponsored whatsoever, so I wish they would sponsor me, um, but they don't. I just really love this company. Yeah, this is basically it. I put in the other ones, but you guys seen You guys have seen me numerous times with my 20-inch. These I think are 24 inches. 24, I want to say, or maybe they're 22. I'm pretty sure they're 24, but I could be wrong. I will also link all of my Foxy Locks videos down below. This was basically just an update on them because someone asked. Anyways guys, thank you guys so much for watching. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe. And if you guys like this kind of video or you guys have an idea that you guys want me to do, let me know. Or a company that you want me to try, let me know. I love hair extensions and I love trying them. I'm thinking about getting tape-ins. I'm really scared though. I've heard a lot— sorry, I can't stop touching my hair. I've heard a lot of mixed signals about them, but I kind of want to try them. So let me know if you guys like want to see that and the process of that. Yeah, anyways guys, I will see you guys in my next video. Bye guys!
