How To Clip In and Blend Hair Extensions with Short Length Hair | Natalie Nicole

Hey guys, what's up? It's Natalie Barnes. Welcome back or welcome to my channel. Today I'm going to be showing you guys how I put in my hair extensions. I have the Foxy Locs 24-inch hair extensions. So I'm going to be teaching you guys how to put in hair extensions extensions. I'm also going to be showing you guys how I part my hair. Actually really easy how I do it, but you guys requested it, so I will do it. So without further ado, let's get started. Okay, so for parting my hair, I usually like to keep it in the middle, but I'll show you guys how I actually do it. So I usually just take a brush, then I just brush through my hair just to find my part. I have a mirror like right in the back of my camera, so that's what I'm looking at. So once when I don't have a part, I usually just look at my nose, and then from there I go up, and then that's where I usually like to have my middle part. Just like that. That is how I get my part. Or if I'm feeling like a little extra, I just go like this, grab some, and then toss it to the side just for like something different. It's really, really simple and easy to do. You just grab a chunk of your hair and then push it to the side. So that's my side part, and this is my middle part. I think I look better with my middle part, but in middle school and like freshman year, I would do my side. I just prefer middle for me. Okay, on to the hair extensions. So I have 2 2-clip wefts. Wefts are just— wefts are just the 2 right here. There's just 2 clips right here, 2 clips on this one. I have my 1-clip wefts, which is just 1 clip. So I have 2 of those. I have my 4-clip wefts right here, 2 of those. And then I also have 2 3-clip wefts. First thing I'm going to do is tell you guys what I'm doing, and then I will show you guys how I'm doing it to make it a lot easier. Okay, so first thing you want to do is find the nape of your neck, take your 2 index fingers, and then try to like draw a line like this, and that will separate the first weft from the second weft. So now that you guys saw that, I'm gonna take my, I'm gonna take my 3-clip weft, and then I usually don't tease my hair, and it just works for me that I don't tease it. But you can definitely, you can definitely tease your hair. It might help, but for me it just doesn't help, so I don't do that. 3-clip weft, just And then that section is done. I usually, for the 3-clip wefts, I do the middle first and then I go and do the sides. And then I just repeat that step with the other 3-clip weft. As you can see, I did move a little tiny above the first weft that we did, just so it layers a little better. Next, I'm going to take my two 4-clip wefts. I'm gonna take my 4-clip wefts and then do the same exact steps as I did with the 3-clip wefts, just a little bit higher. It feels very, very secure. And you guys can see that most of my hair is right here. The little tiny pieces are basically blending in with the longer pieces. That's why I do my clips very, very close to each other, so all my little tiny strands like this blends in better with my longer hair. Now I'm taking the last of the 4 clip wefts and sticking it right above, like, where my— I like to do it where my eyebrows are. So if I just go like that straight back, that's basically where I usually keep this one. Keep in mind that you don't want to do it too far up in your head because then your clips will show. Um, so now they're basically all blended, but I do not like these little tiny strands up here, so I do take my two clip wefts and then I just stick them right here and right here. So basically a little tiny bit above my eyebrows. I just take this, I hold it up, I usually little strands down that are closer to my head, and then I just clip them in. And then I just let this hair go, and I just feel. So you can't— if you feel like the weft, that means you probably can't see it. And then again, I will repeat the same step— clip, clip. For the 2-clip wefts, I do like to start on the back clip first, and then I go to the front. That way, if this is more on my face, I can move this one back. Lastly, I have my 1-clip wefts. I do not use these that much, but when I do, I usually— since I do have a middle part, I I take a little tiny strand in front of my face, and then I just bring that up and then clip it. And then I do the same on this side, but this just gives like a lot of hair, which I mean, this is just a lot, a lot. So this is the finished look. This is all my hair. You can see if you look closely, this side you cannot see any little tiny hairs that This side you can, just because my hair is obviously— my short hair is straight and then my long one is kind of wavy, which is okay.
