January Real Estate Recap + February Goals | Realtor Edition

In this February‑early vlog, Palm Coast, Florida realtor Natalie Barnes introduces herself as a new‑construction specialist, toddler mom, and wife of a police officer. She recaps her January activity—one contract secured, a home closed (Dec 30 counted as early January), and ongoing work helping a non‑local couple move toward contract—while noting she began therapy to manage anxiety from the pressures of work and motherhood. Natalie then outlines her February objectives: sell two homes, complete four closings (one already done, three back‑to‑back next week), and get a new‑construction client under contract with Morongo Homes. She emphasizes client readiness, insisting buyers be financially and emotionally prepared before signing. Natalie shares recent personal investments—a new iPad and a DJI drone—to produce higher‑quality listing content and reduce reliance on third‑party services, reflecting her self‑reliance philosophy. She discusses her aggressive social‑media strategy (daily posts, follower‑driven leads) and upcoming personal events (a Disney trip, her daughter Arabella’s first soccer season). A vision board created from Pinterest images illustrates her motivation and goal‑setting mindset. Throughout, she balances professional ambition with family life, expressing gratitude, optimism, and a belief that clear goals drive success.

Hey guys, what's up? It's Natalie. Welcome to, or welcome back to my YouTube channel. If you've never seen me, hi, my name is Natalie. I'm a local realtor in Palm Coast, Florida who specializes in new construction homes, um, residential new construction homes. I also have a 3-year-old, so I'm a toddler mom. And then I also have a husband who is a cop. In today's video, we are doing our February goals. I know it's like a little bit later in the first week of February, but I still wanted to get this video out because I normally do it every single month. I like doing them. So we are going to be recapping January and also talking about what we're going— what I'm going to be doing in February, which I'm so excited. February is one of my favorite months of the year because it is kind of cold, we celebrate love, and then we also transition to all the pastel colors for spring. So I'm super, super excited in today's video. I feel like I've been just so busy with work that it's nice to have like a sit-down video talk time. Um, so that's what we're doing in today's video. I feel like January completely flew by, like I cannot believe we're already in the second month of the year. Um, and in January, the nice thing about January was I got to experience a lot of time with my family and also focusing on work. I got one contract out in January, and then I also got to close a home like the first week of January. It was actually December 30th, but I'm counting it as like the first week of January. Um, and then yeah, so last month, like I said, I wasn't like crazy crazy on work. I was more so focused on my one contract getting out, and then I'm working with another couple who is, um not from Palm Coast, and we're trying to get them under contract, but they have to do a couple things before we can go under contract. So I'm helping people behind the scenes, which is really nice, and getting them to where they need to be so they can experience homeownership. I also started therapy, which has been very beneficial, um, especially for my mind, because like I said, I do focus a lot on work and my dress My, my job is very stressful on top of planning other things and being a mom. Um, it's nice to talk to someone and get someone else's opinions on how I can handle stress because I suffer from really bad anxiety and, um, I get stressed out really easy. So having someone to talk to has helped tremendously, which I'm definitely going to keep going to her in February. But I believe I met my goal for January. I'm trying to think back on what my goal was. I don't remember if I wanted to sell one home or two homes. Homes, but I definitely hit that one home. Um, they went under contract with Dream Finders in Palm Coast in the 55 and older community. But let's talk about February because I am like beyond excited for February. So my goal for February, I want to sell 2 homes, and then I also have 4 closings in February. I've already done one of my closings, so that one's taken care of. So I have 3 more. They're actually happening next week. One is on a new construction, one's on my listing, and then I'm the buyer's agent for my listing. So all 3 are back to back to back. So, and that's all happening next week. So I'm very excited for that. Um, very stressful, but, um, I'm very I know everything is going to go great, so I'm not too stressed about it. And then I'm working with a client, hopefully I get them under contract this weekend. Um, they are going to be building a brand new, new construction home with Morongo Homes, and I've been working with them for about, I want to say like 3 months, I think before December. So it's really fun to visit different builders with clients, see see what they like about one and then give a recommendation on another one to see if that one fits more what their price point is and also the flexibility of taking out walls, picking out colors, stuff like that. So I'm very hopeful we get them under contract. Um, so then that would leave me with one more I'm going to try and get. I don't know, I don't think I'm working with anyone specifically that can go under contract this month. I'm more about instead of like, oh, I want to sell this, this, and this this month, like yes, that's nice. But I also want to make sure that my people understand and at a financial point where they can go under contract and feel good about going under contract. Because as a realtor, the worst thing you can do is get someone under contract who's just not ready. If that's financially, if that's mentally, if that's just anything, it's just never good to go under contract without your client being 110% sure. But yeah, that— those are my goals for February. Another really fun thing was I made a very big purchase, which you guys be seeing soon, um, personally, not an investment property or anything like that, but something for myself that I've been wanting. So I'm super, super, super excited to show you guys when the time comes what I bought. And yeah, we've been planning a trip, so I've been going back and forth on calls all day today. But going back, that is all of my February goals. So we're gonna try to achieve 2 under contract and then 4 closing. Even though I'm, I'm stressed out, I know everything's going to go good with those closings. It's still really hard to balance everything. And I'm not trying to come on here and be like negative or anything because I'm very, very, very lucky and blessed to be able to be able to close properties, especially with the economy like this. Um, But it's hard, you know, being a newer agent to general real estate, having multiple hands in different, um, properties and trying to remember everything has been a challenge. And I say it in every one of my videos, thank God I have my iPad, because without my iPad I would be completely lost. Like, I have every single thing on my iPad— my planner, notes, documents. I, I just, I love my iPad, and if you are in real estate, you definitely, I think, need an iPad to function. I also made another cool purchase this month as well. I invested in a drone. This is my little drone. Let me show you guys what it looks like. I'm really loving the DJI, um, brand, so I got the DJI drone., and this thing can follow you. I'll put it— I'll insert a video here of what it looks like walking through a property because I think it looks really cool. But this little drone follows you. I also have a, um, controller that I can control if I don't want it to just like follow me. If I don't want to be in the shot, I don't have to be. Um, so that has been an investment I'm really, really proud I did because as a real estate agent, I should be able to deliver the best quality. As a real estate agent, and just myself personally, I don't like to rely on other people to do something. Like, if I need drone footage for a listing, if I want to do social media, I don't want to be— I don't want to have to follow someone else's schedule on when they can come out and do it for me. So I thought, let me just invest the money now, teach myself how to actually do it, and then handle it on my own. I'm like that with a lot of things. Like when I first started general real estate, um, a lot of agents actually have, uh, transaction coordinators who will basically do everything on the paperwork side, and then you pay them a cut of your commission. But I felt like if I'm joining real estate, the general side of it, I need to know what documents I need to have. I should be responsible. They're my people. I don't want to pass them off to someone else to coordinate with them. My job doesn't just stop at contract, it goes throughout the contract all the way up until closing. So when I felt like getting a drone was just like the same exact thing— I need to be able to rely on myself if I want to do content. So that was a really cool purchase I got. I'm really proud of it. And this month I'm really trying to focus in on social media like I did in, I want to say December. I post every single day on social media, and I grew tremendously, um, and a couple of my followers actually bought houses or are under contract right now from me. So I'm definitely gonna keep up with that. That's really been fun. Personally, I'm still gonna go to Disney. Obviously, that is like my stress-free day. I get to spend with my daughter. I'm saying a lot about social media and my closings, but I don't have anything like new I'm working on currently other than focusing on the same people, trying to get them in a spot where they can financially and emotionally be invested into what they're buying. Um, and yeah, lately with social media, I feel especially like on YouTube, I've been slacking because me and Arabella have been very sick the last week. Everyone's sick, I feel like. Um, So that's why there was no videos last week, but I'm getting back into the jump of everything, um, and trying to manage, you know, calls, clients, content, being a mom. Also, another like little fun thing in February, Arabella is starting soccer, so she's super excited. I brought her to school today and we signed her up yesterday, and she told all of her friends that she is now a soccer player and that we signed her up for soccer. So that was really, really cute today. She's really excited. And so I'll be like a little soccer mom. So now I'll be juggling that too. But all in all, I'm very lucky. I'm very blessed and happy on everything happening in my life right now. I feel like it's so good to be busy young and achieve your goals and dreams. And it's so important to have dreams and goals to achieve because without that, like, what is the point of living life? Um, and I actually— I don't know if I showed you guys last time, but I did a mood board, kind of like a vision board, I guess, of what I want this year to look like. I'm going to show you guys it now, but I basically printed out what I see on Pinterest because I go on Pinterest a lot when I feel unmotivated, and I thought, let me stick it right on my bulletin board so when I'm working I can look up and just be in my vision board, basically. So let me show you guys that now. This is basically what my vision board is. It's just like a lot about being better and selling and just manifesting content, good outfits, helping people. Um, and just trying to be like the best person I can be. And then I'll always have a soul sign in the middle because that is important. I have a lot of family photos, like me, me and Sam, and Arabella. Arabella right there. We have one of her and Disney. I did a brand deal this past month. But yeah, I'm just like super excited about everything. Like I said, having goals is super important, especially when you're young. Um, you need something to motivate you and keep going, and it makes— I feel like it makes the months go by so much faster when you start like checking off the things that you've done. It's just a good feeling. Everyone likes to check off things, right? Anyways, if you guys have goals for February, or if you are thinking about getting into real estate, DM me. Let me know what your goals are. Let me know if you are thinking about getting into real estate. I do think it's one of the best decisions I've ever done personally. Very life-changing, and it's all what you put into it, I believe. But yeah, thank you guys so much for watching, and I will see you guys in my next video. Bye, guys!
