Realtor Monthly Reset | 4 Closings, No Listings & My March Comeback Plan

Natalie Barnes, a Palm Coast real estate agent, closed four homes in February but has no new listings and only one contract pending. She's resetting her March goals: get at least one new contract, secure another listing, and post two YouTube videos weekly. She's also paying off her final credit card and buying a 2026 Buick Enclave.

February has definitely stretched me. I closed 4 homes, and 3 of those homes all closed in 1 week. Felt extremely stressed out and still didn't get any listing. So today I am breaking down what is going on with my real estate business and what March has to look like. If you've never seen me, hi, my name is Natalie Barnes. I'm a local real estate agent in Palm Coast, Florida, which is North Florida. I specialize in new construction. I am a mom to an almost 4-year-old. Her birthday is going to be this month, and I cannot believe it. And, and on my page, I share what my life looks like, new construction tours, days in the life, and a lot, a lot, a lot of behind the scenes of being a real estate agent. So if you're thinking about becoming one, or you're wondering what do real estate agents even do, my page is the page for you. Obviously. So let's talk numbers. Like I said, in February I closed 4 homes. 3 of those homes happened all in the same exact week, back to back, literally one day, the next day, the next day, which was honestly insane for me. I've never had that happen before. And although it felt amazing, like I could do this, I am built for this kind of vibe, that's kind of how I felt that week. But then at the same time, I did not get a new listing this past month, and I only got one house under contract in February. I I almost got an offer out, but I actually got it out on the 1st of March, so I'm counting that for this month. My offer went out. We'll see if we're going to accept it. I don't know yet. I feel like last month has taught me I can close. I can handle volume. I think something that's hit me hard this past month is I don't want to live closing to closing. I want to build a pipeline and then also want to be consistent. Like, yes, real estate is so inconsistent and you never know what's going to happen,. But knowing what I know now and how to handle pressure like that with 3 different deals all in the same week, I feel a lot better with how I'm presenting myself, how I'm handling stress, and how I want to move forward with my business. So what have I learned in February? So there's 3 things I actually learned in February, which I'm really, really happy on. Closing is the result of past work. Now, not current work. So if I don't, if I don't start building right now, I will not have anything April or May. I will be like super quiet. Listing matters. My second thing is listings matter. Obviously I knew that, but buyers are great, but listings I feel like you have more control of. You have the leverage and you just have more control, which I love. The third thing I've learned is stress comes from lack of structure. I, I'm the type of person, I'm very Type A. I, I like everything a certain way, but when I feel like my my life is unorganized or I don't have like control of a situation, it really does affect my mental. And I know I have to work on that. I can't control everything, but the more organized I am, the more I feel good, the more it shows in my work. So that's something I'm really, really trying to work super hard on. There are weeks where I'm like, I need to take off. I seriously just need a break from work, and I think that's perfectly normal and you can have breaks, but also getting back into work after the break is super hard for me. So in my mind, I'm like, don't take a break because then you're gonna have like, uh, I don't really want to work kind of mindset, and that's not how it should be. So I am definitely working on that. Okay, enough about February. I'm over that month. I'm super, super, super excited for March. March is one of my favorite months. It's not only my dad's birthday, but it is also my daughter's birthday. And I feel like March is just like one of those months where you just automatically just feel so good. I think it's because spring is my favorite season, and spring is like here slash right around the corner. So I'm super excited for March. Let's talk about my non-negotiables for this month. I definitely want to get one house under contract, which I'm working on right now. I have an investor, we're looking different properties, and I think we found one we really, really like. I would love to get another listing. This is another thing I'm trying to work on, is getting back into open houses and meeting new clients in ways I used to do it. So one contract, I want to get another listing, and I want to sell my listings. So the listings that I have, I have two residential properties and then I have my rental property. I need to get all three of those sold. Um, so that's really what I'm focusing on. If I need to boost marketing, if I need to come down on the price, I'm in the mood to negotiate, and I know my sellers are as well. So we'll see. Hopefully this is the month for us. And then, like I always say, daily follow-up, super important. Um, weekly open houses, I know that's not really something that's like a 100% on. But what I started doing was giving my open house schedule to my actual clients. So like, if I know I am busy, let's just say the first weekend of March, I will put out of the office. And then the next weekend, I would put the times that I can do the open houses. That has worked amazing with my clients, and they seem to love it. So I'm definitely going to keep that up. If I want consistent income, I need consistent action. I'm in that kind of mindset. Another thing is I'm trying to walk every single day with Arabella. I started in— I started the last week of February, and now we are on day like 5 or something on our daily walks. I did do an arm workout, and my arms are so sore. I'm like, why did I do that? But I also need to get in shape for— I need to get in shape for our really big trip coming up. I'm so excited to share it with you guys. I'm not saying anything yet, but I'm super, super excited about it. I feel like going back to the walking, it really, really helps going on these long walks with my daughter because half the time I'm focused on her. We have really good conversation. We look at the birds, we look at the cars, we talk, we have like girl talk. And then, and then sometimes when she doesn't want to come on walks with me, I can just do work. I can do phone calls, I could do emails, and it's just a nice way to get out of the house and out of the office. And just get work done and like de-stress. I'm getting back into YouTube. I know I said it last month and last month I barely even filmed, but I promise you guys, I'm getting back into YouTube. I have my planner literally right here of all the different videos. My problem is I have videos I've like filmed. I just need to upload them and edit them. That's my problem. So I have a schedule for this month. You guys are going to get 2 videos from me each week. I'm going to be consistent. I'm not going to overthink, just execute. I promise. I don't want to be that person that just stops. I like want to keep going and keep building and just keep trying to be better in every aspect, not just being a mom, but like also doing YouTube, social media, and then also being a really good agent as well. I've gotten a lot of my buyers through this way too. Like a lot of my walkthroughs, a lot of people that live out of state look at my videos, which is really cool, and then ask me for information regarding the house. So I need to get back on that grind, which this whole week coming up I have 3 different builders I'm going to to film content all day there. So just be prepared, guys, be prepared. My final non-negotiable is I have decided to pay off all my credit cards. I am completely done. I think I have 5 different credit cards. 4 of them are completely paid off. I have one more, and I'm super excited because I will be paying that one off this month. And then my goal is to get a brand new car this year. No, I really, really want the Buick Enclave Avenir 2026. Um, I have a Buick Envision Avenir 2020, I think, so— and I already have 100,000 miles on it, so I definitely need a new car. So that chapter is closing, and I'm super excited about it. I just need to make sure— like, for me as a real estate agent, I don't get a consistent pay, and although my checks are amazing and they look good, I have a fear of running out of money. And I know it's a dumb fear because I love to work and I love what I do, and I know I will never run out of money, but it's just like a stressor I think I have in my mind. And I don't know if I'm like the only person that feels like this, but I want to be in a spot where I just have no credit cards, no stress for the most part, and can have a car payment that I'm like— I don't want to look at it and be like, ugh, I have to make my car payment. I want to be like, oh, my car payment's nothing. So that's why I'm trying to get a new car but put a lot down, especially because I don't want a high car payment. So That's what we're working on right now. So I feel like all in all, February has taught me that I can close. That's no issue. I feel like March is going to teach me that I can build and be confident in knowing that I have a pipeline and maintaining that pipeline. If you're building something this year, whether it's real estate, a business, or just yourself, comment down below one non-negotiable you have for yourself, and let's hold each other accountable because I definitely need it. Anyways, guys, thank you guys so, so, so so much for watching. I really appreciate it. And don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe, and I will see you guys in my next video. Bye, guys!
