We Got WAY Too Close to the Gators! đ | St. Augustine Alligator Farm with My Daughter

In this familyâstyle vlog, Natalie takes her daughter Arabella, her mother, and a few friends on a day trip to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm in Florida. The video opens with a quick breakfast scene (chocolate croissants and smoothies) before heading to the farm. Throughout the visit, Natalie narrates the experience, introduces a wide range of reptiles and amphibiansâincluding American alligators, alligator snapping turtles, a 1,200âpound Australian alligator named Maximo, a Komodo dragon, pythons, turtles, and various snakesâwhile sharing spontaneous facts about each animalâs size, age, origin, and behavior. The family feeds several alligators, watches them eat, and attempts to interact with the animals, all while expressing nervousness and anxiety about the proximity to the large reptiles. Natalieâs mother provides historical anecdotes (her own childhood field trips, a bridge memory) and helps with feeding logistics (quarters for the feeding station). The vlog also captures moments in the gift shop, a dinosaur exhibit, a baby monkey, and a cottonâtop tamarin. After the animal encounters, the group heads to a nearby restaurant (Columbia) for lunch, discusses food choices, and wraps up with a quick souvenir photo session where Arabella holds a small alligator. The video ends with a friendly signâoff, teasing future content and a bedtime routine for Arabella. The overall tone is upbeat, informal, and childâfocused, with recurring themes of curiosity, family bonding, and mild anxiety around the wildlife.

Go up to America.
Look at the one right over there, he's huge! Oh my gosh, this place makes me really nervous. These are the American alligators.
Look here, big smile here.
Hey guys, what's up? It's Natalie. Welcome toâ welcome back to my YouTube channel. Today we are going to the alligator farm. We are Arabella says hi. We are super excited. I haven't been since I was probably her age. So wait, show them your outfit. You look so cute. This is what Arabella is wearing. Show them your shoes. Love them. Who's excited?
Me.
Okay, you're gonna go eat breakfast. We are super excited for today, and you guys are coming along with us. The fun thing living in North Florida and Palm Coast specifically is you get to go to St. Augustine just for the day if you want to and not deal with all the tourists. And then when the day is over, come back home and be quiet. But today's actually Father's Day, so Sam's sleeping cuz he worked all last night. My mom's coming with us and I think we're going to go have lunch afterwards at Columbia. So come along with us and let's see what we find. And then this is what I'm wearing, this shirt, She and Amazon. And these are on clouds. These are on clouds. And then I also have a hat. What is it?
Chocolate. What?
You're having chocolate for breakfast?
Chocolate croissant.
Oh, chocolate croissant. Yummy. I bought these for Arabella because she said she wanted them. I don't know if they're meant to be in the freezer, but I put them there anyways, and then I just heat them up. They're pretty big. Now Arabella wants a smoothie.
Chocolate sandwich in it.
Take a bite. How is it?
Um, yummy. Look atâ
aww, sad. All done. Good, good. We're here.
We're going to pet them and hold them.
Yeah, we're going to pet them and hold them, you think?
Yeah, and they're going toâ
That would be fun. Oh look, gift shop. Little baby alligators. Go up to him, Aaron. He's not real. You want to go sit with him? Go sit on him.
He's not real, honey.
Look, I don't want to sit on him. Look, he's plastic.
Go sit with him. Arabella, look at this white one!
Oh my gosh, he is a bigâ
yeah, he's real. He's sleeping.
Is he sleeping?
He's sleeping.
Say good night. Good night.
Do you want to go this way? It's so crazy.
That's cool.
Look, alligator snapping turtle. He's a mean turtle. I think he's right underneath. What is it? Arabella, look at the one right over there. He's huge.
Look at him, honey.
No, look at that one over here. Air, look over here. Look how big that one is. You see the one over there? You see him there? What's his name?
Um, look at him in the water.
He's trying to get out, but he died.
My mom goes, this makes me so nervous. Wonder where I get all my anxiety from. Mom, do you have a quarter? She could feed them. Look at all of them. Look at him, look, he's coming right near you, Arie. Look, that one's looking at you now too. Oh wow, this makes me nervous. They think she'sâ
say, who's hungry, guys? Who's hungry, guys? Me or you?
I think they're definitely more hungry than us. Look at that one, he's coming over.
Oh Mom, that's a huge one.
They're all waiting because this is like where the alligator food is. Oh Mom, he's moving! He's moving, I know.
And weâ
I never carry any cash on me. My mom normally does. I wasn't even thinking. Yes, but it's cool because they have like a little change area where you can get like quarters and stuff. So that's what my mom's doing so she can feed the alligators. You're gonna drop some food in there so you can feed them? Oh, but there's literally so many alligators here. My mom has anxiety. And I have anxiety. I didn't think this would give me anxiety. Oh, they're all moving, but there's so many. Like, all I can think of is like, if anyone ever fell in, they would literally die. Look at them, they must be best friends. They're getting comfy and cozy. Yeah. Oh, look at those birds in the tree.
Oh yeah, wow. Mom, does it smell like poop?
A little bit.
Now we're going to turn it. Turn, turn, turn.
Got it. Keep going.
Turn more, turn more, turn more.
Oh, Air, they hear you. Oh my gosh.
You know, Charlie, yep, you got to throw it out there to them. Ooh. Go!
Look at him, Mary, they're all hungry. Oh, he was really hungry. So crazy, they're all waiting for you. Oh, he got it! Oh, good one! Hey, say bye guys. Well, let's keep seeing what other ones need.
Some other ones are hungry.
Another one might need it.
You must be hungry. That was a big snack bite.
I don't know, these look like the grandpas. These are the big ones here. Bye, babies! They're watching you, Air.
They're like, where's that little girl going? She gave us our breakfast.
Wait, what is it? Gomek?
Yeah, I think they That's it.
That's not it. That's not real, Mom.
No, Mom, that's it.
No, no, no, he's in like a room.
What?
Yeah.
Oh, Mom, look at him.
Air, air, he's not real.
Air, help me, help me!
Ah, whoa, this place is big.
Yeah, this is for field trips. Used to come here for field trips when we were young.
Oh God, Air! Oh, look at this one, Airy!
Look at them, Arabella!
Look, I've never seen one like walking like that. Yeah, he's slow.
Look at him, honey, right in the water. Look, he's a big old grandpa, and they're supposed to be fast.
Oh There he goes. Have a good swim.
We first moved to St. Augustine, we came here and my dad took me over the bridge and I was screaming and screaming bloody murder on the way over this bridge.
Really?
I said to my dad, and my dad was holding me, and I have like a vivid memory of it.
Oh my God, that's very traumatic.
I was so scared.
Look at them.
Oh my gosh.
I kept Ari, did you want to go see the turtles or this? There's the turtles over there, the big ones.
I want to feed them. I don't know if you can feedâ
yeah, you got to keep going. Oh, there's food over there. Oh, okay.
Look at them.
Oh yeah, these are the big ones. This is like Alligator Alley. Look at him!
You got more food?
Yeah, I got all this.
Or the one over there, Arie? No, didn't faze him.
Not hungry.
Maybe the one that got back in the water.
Oh, look at him!
There's one over there, Arie, in the middle.
In the middle? Where in the middle?
Right over here. Oh, where are they? God, he's huge! Throw it at him! Throw it!
No!
Oh, he's getting it before the fishies eat it! Good throw!
Went right to his mouth.
No, I don't think he likes them. No, right here. Oh, he got mad.
Throw him one. You get it? No, the fishies get it.
No, he didn't want it.
Oh, he got it! Oh no, I don't think he wanted it. I don't know.
Oh, he got it!
Air!
He does sideways.
Do you think their names are, um, Arabella and Lucy? Arabella and Lucy?
Mhm.
Oh, those are good names.
Mom, what about we can feed some more?
No, do you see them? So cute! That'sâ Mommy, do you want me to hold you so you can see them?
Um, can I pet them?
No, you Can't touch them. I can hold you if you want to see them. Look at them, there's so many! There's some over there too. Really? Yep.
See the mommies?
Cute little nest. I wonder how many alligators are here. There's so many birds with like nests. This place makes me really nervous going in here. I like these little handles. That's a boat. That's not the Disney boat.
Can you believe that?
What? 17 feet. Green python.
Python.
Oh, there he is.
Aww.
See him up there? Isn't he cool? He's right up there.
Carpet.
What is in there?
Snakes. See right there? Mom, we're going to go this way.
See how they got Gomac? He was the biggest one because they wanted to Well, he was eating people probably.
Look at him! Oh, here, he's looking at you! Look at him! I wonder what his name is.
Mommy, look at him! Look!
Don't knock on the glass, you don't want to scare him. You don't want to scare him. He probably just got his breakfast.
Oh, look, he did.
Look, look at all his fruit. Look at him, Arie. He is so cute.
Look at his toes.
Yeah, look, he's looking right at you. Hi, hi, baby.
Oh, whoa, what the heck?
Look at all his breakfast, all his fruit.
He got pineapple.
Oh, look, Arie, he has a kebab up there. On his, um, wall. Oh yeah, so we can eat it.
Look at his fruit kebab.
Is itâ hmm, we gotta keep looking. Oh, there's a dinosaur!
They said that, um, Gomex was killing so many people.
Yeah, eating. Oh no, it's a fake one. Oh, which way do you want to go?
This way.
Okay, check that tank. What's in here? Whoa, he's a big alligator, Arie! See, that's a little pool.
Is that cool? Rubby, is that a donut?
So Max Cassilo's been trained to shift into this little smaller pool while the keepers do maintenance on his pool. It's safer cleaning glass without a 15-foot crocodile watching you. However, sometimes he enjoys being in this smaller area and he won't come back out. A 1,200â he weighs 1,200 pounds. He does whatever he wants to do. So we added this porthole so you can look at him underwater viewing.
Let's go this way.
So his name is Maximo. Maximo is Meenie's dad.
Let's go in.
Whoa, air!
Look, air!
Oh my goodness, isn't he big?
That's Meenie's daddy.
Wait, that is Meenie's dad, Maximo.
How crazy is this?
That's amazing!
Isn't that amazing?
Look at his bubbles.
Oh yeah, yeah, but they put him in that little pool up there when they have to clean his tank, and he likes, um, bubbles. Yeah, so they gaveâ
it's like a little jacuzzi for him.
That says quick facts about Maximo. Is an egg collected by Aborigines from the wild of Australia.
He's Australian.
Hatched in 1971, so he's pretty old. He is 15 feet 9 inches and he weighs 1,249 pounds. He's from Australia.
But can he come in?
'71, so let's see, '81, '91, 2000.
It's like 50 years. Yeah, he's pretty old.
I'm a little bit older than him.
Whoa, Air, look at him! He does not look nice.
Is he new?
He used to be.
Yeah, he used to be, but he's not anymore.
Oh, get this man!
Whoa, look at that dinosaur!
Go take your picture with him.
Very nature-y, obviously. Arabella, look at this big huge, um, snake.
Snake?
Look at him, it's a python. Wow, look at his head.
Articulated python.
Oh gosh, he's like rainbow. This is a Dragon.
Look at him.
Hi, dragon.
Hi, Komodo dragon. Here, look, he's looking at me. Oh, don't hit the glass. He's cool.
Do you want me to pick you up or you can see him?
Look at them, they're so cute. Tortoises, they're so cute. Look at them, there's two of them. They must be best friends. Oh, there's three of them. Oh, and there's an alligator right there.
Where?
Right there. Oh yeah.
Oh, whoa. Don't go in there.
You can, you can take the brush and try and find stuff.
I can find stuff.
Okay, up to you. Looks a little dirty. There's a Yeah, it's a little brush. Good, Air, keep going. These are not the ones that you feed. They're not. Wow, so these are the American alligators. How big are these? These are huge. We're going in the land of the alligators. You want to lead the way?
Oh, okay.
You see anything? Hmm, this is a crocodile pit. Oh, he's right there, he's hiding. Look, do you see him? He's in the sun. Anything in there, Air? Oh, he's right there, he's in the water.
Oh, there he is.
See him? Look in the water, he's right above the water.
See him?
Okay, so this is climbing the ladder for zipline. I'd kill myself, I would never do that. Look at the baby monkey!
Oh, look how cute he is!
He's so cute! I want one. Could you imagine them running around our house? Would Lady like him?
Yeah.
Oh, look, Gary, he's looking at you!
Oh my gosh!
Hi, babies! No, they're called cotton-top. Oh, they're peeing and pooping right on top of those rocks. He has a pointy face.
Oh, whoa!
Crazy. What about in here? You see any? Look at him, look at his teeth. He's in the water. Ooh, in the tubby. This is the nursery, the little baby nursery. Look how little they are.
Look, look at him.
Air, he looks like he needs a little moisturizer. Mom, don't they have one like in the Everglades? An Everglades alligator farm?
Yep.
Oh, you can do an airboat? Yeah. I don't think I could do that.
Look at them there.
How did they get all of these? You don't see him, he's in the water.
They get captured, theyâ a lot of them come here.
Oh, those people areâ I would never Did you see that lady who did the jump and they threw her off and nothing was attached to her? Auntie wouldn't like this. Birds of America. She's scared of birds.
Oh, sorry.
They're looking there. Big. I wonder how old they are. Oh my God, look how old they are! Look how big they are!
Um, look at their tail.
What are they called? Lemurs. Lemurs. Arie, do you see them?
You can't feed them.
What's in there?
Wow, it's cold in there.
Look at his teeth. You see the little baby fishies around him?
Oh, he's closing his eyes.
He has really white teeth, huh? Look at him blinking his eyes. He's tired.
Pigling!
And I think there's a snake. Where? Oh, Arie, there's a snake hiding. You can see him underneath the table. Yeah. Oh yeah, this has been so fun, but we definitely think the blind people are giving me more anxiety than and the alligators. What are their names? Mopi and Mugger. Mopi?
Yeah, Mopi and Mugger. Mopi.
They're cute. I like their name.
Yeah.
Rain pretty much every single time at about the same exact time every single day. And if it doesn't rain one day, it'll likely rain twice as hard the next day. This is my friend the North American wood turtle. Now these guys range from Northern Virginia all the way up to Ontario, Canada, and you'll never guessâ
what?
They're gonna hang out near logs, stumps, sticks, things like that, and when they're doing that, I'll walk around for you guys. Red rat snake. Now they also are going to come in nice oranges, yellows, and other colorations like that. Talking about those rats and mice, these guys have a very important job, and it is population control. Control. They're making sure that things like those rats are not booming in population. Our pine snake.
Aww.
But these guys, being pine snakes, are obviously going to be found in pine forests.
Okay, let's see whereâ I think we're gonna do this. Souvenir photos. You're gonna hold an alligator. You got your glasses, Mom? Mm-hmm.
And he doesn't bite.
Isn't he the cutest thing?
Hi, snake. Sweetie!
He can't get us. He can't listen to us.
Because he's a little bit nervous. Remember, he's more scared than we are though. You are so cute, Larry.
That's Meenie's little baby.
Look at him.
Now we're gonna lower in a little bit. Right here.
There, look at him.
Both hands.
Both hands there.
One more hand, there you go. All right, now just make sure you're about this tight. You're not hurting him. He wants to know you're not going to drop him.
Okay, perfect.
Look at the camera.
Arabella!
Look here, big smile here.
That is so cool! Arabella, look at him! How old is he?
He's only 3.
Oh, he's 3?
He's Kenzie's age.
And we'll say goodbye.
Oh, look at him waving! You hold a real alligator! Does he do that all day?
Yeah, but we don't have him every day, so tomorrow it's a different hour.
Oh, so he doesn't do the shift today, but I mean, Larry, look at him!
You want to look down there?
You want to see? Yeah, of course. Yep. Oh my goodness, he's so cute! Say bye, Larry.
Have a good day.
You held him! You got to tell everyone in your class. Can you believe that? I got to send that to Daddy.
Thank you.
Say thanks, lovey. We're gonna feed the babies one more time and then we are going to lunch. Here they come. Look, he's the smart one. Oh, look, Arie, you got 4 of them so far. Look at him, Arie.
Here he comes.
He said, I'm hot, I want to get in the water. Shop time for the gift shop. Ready? Oh, his name is Tick Tock, Eric. Tick Tock is his name. And they usedâ
he was in a movie.
He was in a Disney movie, Peter Pan. What'd you think?
Loved it.
So fun. I haven't been there in years.
I think that was perfect for Arabella's age. Yeah, there's a lot, a lot of, a lot of things to do.
Yeah.
How long were we there for?
Um, over an hour and a half.
And then we did a show, and now we're gonna go to the cemetery, and then we're gonna go to lunch at Columbia. Ari, did you have fun? Got salad. Arabella got chicken tenders that she's not even eating. Why aren't you eating?
Spell your name. A-A-A-B-E-L-L-A. Shell.
Shell.
You're being too silly.
A-R-A-B-E-L. People.
Who's ready for candy? Going in.
Okay, a shirt.
Yeah, yeah, go, go in, Arie. Right in here. Wow. Wow, got a lot. Put it up here.
And want toâ
nope, those need special bags.
Those rise. Look how gross these are.
Look, a lollipop with a bug in it. Oh my God.
Wow.
So we're going to be thisâ
getting ice cream and something for Sam. Got a milkshake.
Hey, Louie, release, release, release, release, release! Playing outside.
Sam bought them because we're getting a fence and our fence company told us to mark down all of our sprinkler heads so they know where to not hit.
Okay guys, okay guys, we are going to Denny's tomorrow and we got the Denny's fluffy ears. Yeah, they have a heart on it.
Yep, and we're gonna vlog, so make sure you stay tuned.
And you can watch me go to sleep and I might sleep good tonight.
You will sleep good tonight. But you know what, I think they're gonna go to bed too, huh? So say, I'll see you guys in our next video.
I see you guys in aâ yes.
Oh, that's our new picture.
Yeah.
And anyways guys, that is it for today's video. Thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you guys had fun because we did. Anyways guys, we will see you guys in our next video.
Bye!
