In this informal vlog, the speaker announces a personal fitness initiative: converting their garage into a home gym for themselves, their partner Tilly, and their children. They describe the motivation to resume workouts after a long break and outline plans to make the space usable for both exercise and play. The video then shifts to a recent drive through the back hills toward Alpine, showcasing lush scenery that transitions into a desolate, fire‑scarred landscape left by the Pine Creek Fire, which the speaker likens to Mars. Finally, they visit a relatively empty beach park in San Diego, noting the ample open space, optional mask use, and the benefits of getting outdoors. Throughout, the tone remains conversational and upbeat, emphasizing family involvement and appreciation of local nature.

Hi, good morning. What are we eating today? Kiwi? I haven't worked out since March, and normally I hate working out, so it's not really been that much of a struggle for me, but it's been too long. And so now it's time to do the thing that seems like everybody did at the beginning, which is make our own home gym so I can kind of get back in shape. Tilly can do a workout, and we're also going to do some stuff for the, for the boys too so that they can play while we're out in the garage. So we're going to convert our garage today. Today is gym building day. Here we go. Took this drive the other day, so I want to share it with the family. So we're going to go out into the back hills behind kind of where we live and go towards Alpine, and, uh, it's kind of crazy looking, so I'm excited to show you guys. We just went through a really beautiful part that was all nice and lush and green And we ended up at this place that is super desolate and looks a lot like Mars. So that was the Pine Creek Fire. I can't remember exactly when that happened. I think it was last— during the summer. Um, kind of finished that drive, decided to come to the beach because why not? We're in San Diego. Found this nice park. Yeah, the nice thing is, is that down at the beach here, for whatever reason, there's not many people around there. Anybody who's around kind of clustered in their own space. There's tons of open space, so don't feel the need to necessarily wear a mask right now, which is good, but we have them just in case. It's good to get out, good to see some nature and get out, get out of the house for a bit. So it's nice. Doesn't look like it. She likes it.
