It's over Texas. We're moving to California.

Nate Ritter, a tech entrepreneur, documents his family's move from Texas to California with his wife Tilly and three kids. They drive into San Diego, stop for coffee, catch the sunset at the beach, and eat sushi and tacos while Nate sets up a temporary workspace overlooking a canyon.

Okay, I got some feedback from the last couple videos. Uh, thank you. I need to do some formatting of the story. You need to know who I am, and you need to know who my family is. I'm a technical entrepreneur who's worked for Fortune 500 companies, but I love startups. I love building them, and I love helping them. Tilly, my wife, is a writer and full-time mom of our two boys, Kai and Asher, and then our new baby girl, Everly. All right, so why did we start this vlog in the first place? So we want to be able to look back in life and see where we were, who we met, what we saw, just kind of re-experience the situation. And we just— it's so hard to do that, and we forget so much. So this is our way of, uh, kind of logging our, uh, memories and being able to look back at them at a later point. So if you're following along, great! We hope you find it entertaining. Okay, it's time to go. I forgot we got these cool murals outside. I'm gonna show you a couple of them. Had to take a couple stops there on the way, but I got some caffeine now, and it's about, well, it's 3:30. I think that's Central Time, maybe, I don't know, 1:30 here, I guess. Just made it across into California, and, um, about an hour and a half or so from hitting San Diego. Can't complain. Nice little sofa for non-work time. Am I outside? This will be my workspace for a little bit. Decent little canyon view. All settled in, so now it's just— ah, wait a minute, I'm in San Diego. What am I doing? I'm going to the beach. All right, well, that was a pretty sunset. It's nice to be back. It's time to eat. What are we gonna get? Sushi, of course. That's what we get in San Diego. Oh man, I miss this stuff. San Diego sushi and tacos. Really, it's hard to beat. That said, I haven't been to Japan yet, so we'll see. Japan, you have some competition, both for the sushi and the taco. That's a joke. Oops. Okay, so one thing Okay, so one thing I'm learning with this— what our journey was like.
