How to Make Your First Million With an iPhone | Neel Dhingra E303
4 Feb 2025 · 82 min
Podcast episode (Feb 2025) where Rich Summers interviews Neel (Neal/Neel) Dhingra about building a personal brand and monetizing short-form content. Key themes: niche focus, consistency/reps, split-testing (Twitter/Threads → Instagram trial reels), formats (tweet screenshots, green-screen, short storytelling reels, podcast clips), productivity/time hacks, podcasting as a trust channel, and monetization routes (clients, webinars, affiliate/brand deals, raising private capital).
So I'll give you guys a hack on how to use Instagram trials to blow up your account. Okay? This is something that. And I don't know how long this is going to work for, okay, Because I think they might catch on. But right now, the intended purpose of trial reels is to test content. And it gets tested with non followers. It's not going to show up to your followers. Doesn't even show up in your grid. You can just do it behind the curtain, so to speak. So that's cool. You could use it for that. That's fine. I've tried it. But here's the way that you can actually blow up your account is find your best content, okay. That you've posted. It's already proven. Like you said, it's already worked. Take that reel and post it as a trial reel. It's not gonna show it to your followers again. And whatever happened the first time is likely to happen again. But now with a brand new audience, trial reels only go to new people. So you get to basically tell Instagram, hey, only show this to strangers. But you know, in your head, bro, this is a banger. It's gonna work.
Welcome to the Rich Drummers Report, where we talk real estate, business, and wealth building, all while keeping it real. No fl, no bs. I hope that you enjoy the show. All right, guys, welcome to another episode of the Report. Today I got someone special. I got someone in town from Las Vegas doing big things in the content space, personal branding space. He's recently been doing a lot of stuff with Gary V. I got my man, Neil Dingra. Neil, welcome to the show, brother.
Thanks for having me, bro. Excited for this one.
Yeah, man, it's. It's been a long time coming. I've been following your stuff for quite some time, dude. I love all the content you're posting that put now I love all the stuff, all the people that you're inspiring along the way and so excited for this conversation today, man. We are going to talk about all sorts of good stuff. We are going to talk about why I believe the personal brand is the most important thing that you could build for yourself in 2025 and beyond. How to make your first million dollars with nothing but an iPhone. So first off, Neil, talk about the benefits of doing content and why everyone listening this right now. Whether you are in the fitness industry, whether you're in the insurance industry, whether you're. Whether you're a professional athlete, this applies to everyone. Why is it important to build a personal brand?
So 2025 rich, we're in the age of the influencer right now. If you go outside, everybody's backs are permanently curved a little bit. They're looking at the phone. The other day I was walking in and somebody tripped and fell. They hit their foot on the curb because why? Because they're looking at their phone. Right?
I see it all the time.
You see it all the time. The airport down the street, distracted driving is at an all time high. Everyone is addicted to their phone. And what are they watching, right? YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, whatever, right? And so in this age of the influencer, you might say, well, Neil, I don't want to be an influencer. I'm just trying to, you know, get some clients or I'm just trying to grow my business or whatever. It's crazy how the much of an opportunity there is. I don't, I think people don't realize the scale and how it can impact your business. So I was in business for, you know, 15, 20 years, only almost two decades in, I finally figured this shit out and I'm like, you know what, I'm going to try this. And bro, even with bad videos, I started to see a small impact as I got good. It was insane how the, how it affected my business. And honestly, bro, it not only changed my business, it changed my life. So I'm excited for today's conversation because, you know, I think there's a lot of people listening who are like, well, you know, I've tried content or maybe I'm on the fence, or maybe I'm just not getting results. So I really want to dial in, like what do you need to do to get results? So obviously get more people to view your stuff. But then how do you turn that into an actual driver of revenue? Like how do you actually, let's be frank, like how do you get rich from your personal brand? That's the key.
Let me ask you this, do you think that everyone should put out content?
So I think I used to say that. But I do know that some people in today's world are just, they just have this big friction. So here's the problem. I'll tell you what, like when I started putting out videos, bro, I was not comfortable. Like if you guys saw my first videos, it was like, you know how bad it is when you watch your own video and you can't get through it. You know, it's like cringe worthy. That was me. And then through reps I got better. So I struggled to say, like, well, maybe it's not for you, because it was not for me. And I got better. But then I do see other people where they just stay stuck there. So what is that? You know, like, everybody's going to be different, but if you find that you just cannot get over the hump in terms of you hate video, you just hate being on camera, then write, bro. Like, you see the power of the written word. Like. Or do voiceovers. Do shoot from behind the camera and put your voice over and put the text over it. I write something every day on Twitter and I screenshot that and I post on Instagram and I post on Facebook and that gets me a ton of reach. So it doesn't have to be you selfie style. You know, maybe that's just never going to be comfortable for you, but there's other ways to win.
Yeah, dude. It's funny because I think one of the biggest, like, limiting beliefs that I hear is, oh, it must be nice. Like, you're born with natural camera skills, podcasting skills, all that. You have the voice for it. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, that's fake. Because. Because I used to feel very uncomfortable talking in front of the camera. I did my first ever podcast was virtual. I remember I was freaking nervous as hell. Do my first ever podcast virtually. And then you, you do more and more of it and then it becomes comfortable. And then I remember my first bigger name guest. I remember interviewing Grant Cardone on my old podcast back in 2020 and I remember being nervous for that. And then you do more and more and more of it and then it doesn't become nervous anymore. And then I remember first in person podcast, and it was actually with Kenny Simpson here, down here in Mission Valley.
Yeah, you as a homie. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Check this out. This is my first in person podcast, guys, as a guest. I literally had to stop the podcast in the middle of it because my hands were sweating so much. And I literally had to stop the podcast and take a break. And so now, you know, I can just get in here and rip it. I don't care who's in here. Like, it just becomes easier and easier and easier, but it's never came natural. And the only reason it became easier is because I put in the work and I stayed consistent. I put in the reps, the at bats, and that was what changed it for me. And so when I hear that limiting belief, it's like, o, I'm not born with the natural camera skills, the talking skills, the podcasting skills. That is a limiting belief.
A hundred percent And I see people who are actually very extroverted and very comfortable, but then when they turn the camera on, they freeze up. So for me, my mouth would go dry, bro. So I would be on a podcast like this, and I'd have to have, like. They'd bring me a cup of water. I'm like, you could you actually bring me, like, a couple? You know, Like, I would be just. My mouth would just go dry. Then midway through the podcast, I could.
Get you another bottle of Pellegrino. Yeah.
Yeah, that's right. So. But midway through the show, I'd be like, dude, I gotta take a leak now. You know? So it was hard for me, for sure. And then public speaking was a whole nother animal. Like, that's the number one fear of Americans, right? Is like, putting yourself on stage and speaking. That was super uncomfortable. But now I went from that being the thing I dread and I hate to now I love it, and it has a big impact on my business. So it's true, man. If you just do more, it's just like, you know, I hate fitness analogies, but it really applies here. It's like, bro, when you come into the gym for the first time, you can barely push the bar, you know? But then a couple months later, you push in heavier weights and you're doing more. So it's just. You work your way up. For sure.
Yeah. And I think a lot of people think, like, day one, they got to have the best content. It's got to be dialed, and they're going to compare their content to someone that's been in the game for four, five, six years, posting every single day, twice a day for six years. And it's like, no. Like, for you to, like, think that you're gonna be as good as someone that's been doing for six years, day one is a limiting belief. And so, I mean, if you go back and look at my content, day one, like, it was not great. I mean, every six months, I look back and I'm like, yeah.
Oh.
Like, you see the growth because you're putting in the reps and the app bats. What were you going to say?
So this is huge porn. I'm glad you brought this up, because this is a huge mistake that people are making with their videos. They're watching someone who's five years into it, and they're copying what that person's doing. You want to look at what they did in the beginning to how they grew. And so a lot of times, people like yourself or me might talk about multiple different things in our content. Because you can go broad in the beginning. I would say that you need to go super narrow, talk about just one thing. So you look at Gary Vee, what does he talk about today? Sports, cars, the jets, digital marketing, all kinds of different things. Like he's talking about five, ten different things. Then he's doing some garage sales and you're like, bro, this guy's over the place. I'm just going to do what Gary does and get a drock and do all this stuff. It doesn't work. But look at how he grew. What did he do? He talked about one thing. He talked about wine, then he talked about, you know, then he started to broad. So go narrow at first. As you build more, you can go more broad. But what going narrow allows you to do is you get really good at talking about that one thing. So I would just encourage people like to narrow their focus in the beginning.
I agree with that. I think as you're starting out, you know, if you're starting off your first thousand followers, you're starting from 2000 followers, it is more important than ever to just go narrow. And the reason I say that is because this, if your niche is fitness and you have an online coaching fitness in the fitness space and that's your business and you have a video that pops off on you talking about traveling to South America and now all of a sudden you get all these new followers from people that love travel videos that want to go to South America, but your niche is fitness and that's how you get customers, that's how you get clients. Now you have all these people that are not going to engage with your fitness content, which is going to make it very, very hard to have fitness content pop off, even if it's good. And so that's why I think early on it's even more important than ever to be very narrow and focus on your niche. And like you said, it's about the reps, it's about the at bats. And the more you talk about the fitness content, the better you're going to get. Master that first and then start to branch out a little bit. But I'll tell you what, last year I started to go very wide and I was just trying different things and it was cool to see that we could go wide and still get engagement. But this year I'm narrowing it back in. I, I realize when you go very wide and you start talking about a bunch of different stuff, the growth slows down because you're going to lose followers for people that are following you for the business and real estate content. And now you're talking about all this other stuff, like fake eyelashes and you're talking about traveling to Turkey and all this sort of stuff, which I did last year. But this is, this is what I'm doing this year. I'm narrowing it down back down to just purely your business and real estate content. Yes. I can still go wide, but here's the difference. Now when I go wide, I have to make it relatable and put some sort of spin on it to how I can. You know, let's say I'm going to travel to Turkey. It's like, okay, here's three takeaways I learned from Turkey and how they do real estate. Or here's how, you know people are buying real estate or investing in real estate in Turkey and then spin it.
Into like, here's how travel helps me as an entrepreneur. Yes. Like, you can tie it back. But then the other part, rich is important, is maybe follower growth. And, you know, massive growth isn't somebody's goal. Like, for me, I got to a certain point and then I wanted to talk more about more things. I'm like, dude, I'm tired of talking about just the narrow niche that I started with. So I started talking about more things. You are 100% correct. I started losing followers because they weren't there for this. They're like, dude, I didn't sign up for this. I want this. That's fine. So what happened for me was I don't grow as fast, but the people that stick around are like, they're down with me. They, they, they, they really connect with me as an individual. So I think going forward and this is actually helpful for the initial people. This is probably the best thing for people coming up right now is you don't need a bunch of followers to be successful. It's not about being well known. It's about being known. Well, like, what can you do? You know, like you said, go narrow. What are you an expert at? What can you teach people? And then let me get to know you a little bit. So, like, I would say if there's 10 posts, seven or eight of them are going to be about your niche and why people should follow you, the expertise that you can help them. The two other ones, two or three other ones, should be about just random shit about you personally. These videos don't perform as well, but then people connect with you. So I'll post a flop every once in a while, which is cool with me, but it's just letting people know, hey, man, most of you guys don't know this, but I'm into this as well. Like, dude, how's your golf game? You know, like, what are you into outside of work? Because if it's all numbers, if it's all about the business stuff, like, I think you just don't get that connection piece. You know what I mean?
I agree with that.
And, like, you show a lot of behind the scenes. Like, I don't. I just met you for the first time, but I know your girlfriend. I know where, like, your lifestyle, what you guys do. I know you're into fitness. Like, how would I know all that? You share it.
Yes, no, we do. For sure.
I don't learn nothing from it, but I'm like, yo, this is fun. Like, I just connect with the individual.
Yeah, absolutely. And I think the important thing to remember, if you're listening to this right now and you, like, you've been hesitant to start putting out content to this point. The cool thing is right now, the way the algorithms are, they want to keep people on the platforms. And so how do they keep people in the platforms is they show them viral videos. And so it's really leveled the playing field. And so someone that's starting with a thousand followers has the same chance of a video going viral than someone that has a hundred thousand or a million followers. And that's a cool thing because the biggest mistake that I see people make, and I want to get your thoughts on this, Neil. The biggest mistake that I see content creators make is if they want to grow and they want to get views, which for me, it's like, okay, well, if I'm going to play the game, I want to. I want to play to get views. Otherwise, like, what are we doing here? Right? And so the one thing that I've always done in terms of how I approach content is I've always approached the content in terms of, like, how can I get the maximum number of shares? Meaning I'll watch a clip before I post it and I'll say, okay, if I was watching this and I didn't know who I was, would I find enough value in this piece of content to where I would share it with a friend or share it with a family member or share it on my story? And if the answer is no, I'm probably going to go back to the drawing board a little bit and tweak it so it'll become more shareable. And I think that is the key to growth. And so I think if you can focus on the shares, not on the number of likes and the comments and also this other stuff, but focus on the number of shares. That is the key to growth. If you guys go look at all your content, or you go and look at any, like, creator out there, their most viewed videos typically have the most amount of shares. Yeah, there's a direct correlation there.
And the CEO of Instagram, Adam, actually came out with a video on this recently, and he said, number one thing that triggers a video to go quote, unquote, viral is shares. So it's just like, this is not guessing. Like, if you can get your content to be more shareable, you're going to get more views. And then how do you make that content? That's the next question. Right. So what do you. How do you make shareable content? So here's the thing. I know this is a high bar for somebody right now, but would someone pay you for that information? Even if it's just like five bucks, like, could you charge for the information that you're giving on social media? And for some people, it's yes, and for other people, it's so generic and general that it's probably no. So, like, the bar for free information has gone up. There's so much information. I think it's information overload. You can go to YouTube, all these platforms, and just get a. All kinds of information. Some of it's wrong, honestly. Right. It's just all out there. So how do you raise the bar for your content? Well, you know, maybe you have a unique insight. Maybe you have something different to say. Maybe, you know, I've seen so many people put their own take on a topic, and that's unique. So I think people need to have a unique point of view, raise the bar for their content, and that's why you'll get more views. Most people's content is failing right now, bro, because it's just too generic, it's too general. It's like it's something that anybody would have said or, or thought. There's nothing unique about it.
Yeah. What are your thoughts on this? Because I had a conversation earlier this week with Dan Martell's content guy, Sam.
Yeah, great guy.
And, yeah, Dan Martel bought Sam a Porsche last year. And after this conversation with Sam, um, I quickly realized why Dan bought him a Porsche. Nick. Dan's is popping up. He's got over 4 million subs and followers now across the different platforms. But Dan came on this podcast a year ago when he was doing his book launch. He had about 170k on Instagram. And he's approached a million.
Yeah.
And so in a year he's, he's, you know, more than 5x his, his following just on Instagram. One of the things that Sam said was he said we stopped focusing any energy on all these other platforms and we really looked at like TikTok as a platform to where we're going to do nothing but like test and split test all this content. And we went all in on Instagram and so what are your thoughts on like going all in on just focusing on one platform, obviously still post on the other ones, but instead of trying to master all these different platforms at once, because all the algorithms do operate a little bit differently. And what are your thoughts on just putting those aside? Yes, we're still going to post and be relevant, but we're only going to master one at a time. What are your thoughts on that?
So everybody's audience is going to be a little different. But, but you have to look at where you're getting the most traction. I have a few people in my community that they're getting the most traction on TikTok because for whatever reason they people connect with them there and they get less traction there. So maybe they're going all in there. But I've noticed that you do need to just like you need to narrow your focus with content, you need to narrow your focus with the platforms because you don't want to be, you know, jack of all trades, master of none. So what is going to be the platform that drives the most results for you? For me, it's Instagram and YouTube. And Alex Ramosi came out something recently. He has enough reach to talk about all the different platforms and they ranked them, bro. They ranked which platforms are getting us the most results for the business acquisition.com and it was Instagram and YouTube. Why? Because those platforms skew a little bit more serious and older and these people are actually like your ideal customer. So you have to look at where's your ideal customer for? Some people might be TikTok, some people might be this now some somebody will pop on here, bro, and they'll be like, dude, I'm crushing it on LinkedIn with this strategy. You should try it. And I know it's like this squirrel, like, you know, random thinks add thing where I'll be like, oh, I want to go try that. And then I'll take my eye off the ball on Instagram. So there's an opportunity cost, you know, to trying all these different things because you're not Getting good at the one thing for sure.
And if you look at all the different platforms out there, you got TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, threads, YouTube. And then you get the, the podcast platforms, which is primarily Spotify and Apple podcast. For us, 95% of all the capital that we're raising for our real estate fund is from the podcast. And it makes sense because, you know, why do people listen to podcasts? People listen to podcasts because they're trying to better their lives. They're trying to learn how, they're trying to learn how to do the thing. And you know, a lot of these folks that listen to podcasts, I believe, have the higher net worth, they're more savvy, they're action takers. And, and same thing with YouTube that watch long form. Right. Because YouTube has the short, the shorts and you also have the long form. The people that watch long form, that is a different avatar than the people that are watching YouTube shorts, hands down. And so when we looked at that, it, it was very, very interesting. And so that's why we put out three podcast episodes a week like clockwork. It's a non negotiable. A lot of people do one a week, some people do two, but we're like, no, we're sticking to three because that's what works for us in terms of raising private capital.
Love that. Yeah. And so you have to think about where can people go deeper with you. So in the beginning, if you're like coming up, this is the formula for someone who's coming up. You would start with one platform, get really good at it and start making the content there. You can have a VA or your team distribute that same content on the other platforms. Even though it's not formatted specifically for TikTok. You could take the same reel and just throw it up there. Why? Just because you may as well, you've already made the video once, throw it up on the other platform. But as far as like recreating separate content for the other platform, it's just, you're not going to have the bandwidth for it. Most people tell me, Rich, they don't have the time to make videos because they're so busy. So by you, by us telling you, hey, go do all these five different platforms, you're not going to do it. So start with one as you get better. I found that the thing that takes you hours in the beginning eventually just takes you minutes. So it might before take you a bunch of time to come up with the ideation, the what you're Going to say shoot the video, edit the video, get it posted. That takes a lot of time for people. But now that's like, quick for me. I could shoot something right now and post it without much fancy editing and just get, you know, get, get it out there. So that comes down. That frees up time for me to now start getting better by writing on Twitter and then taking those shots and putting them as reels. Those reels perform, bro. Like, they do really well. So, you know, you can get better at things. But I think start with one and then just start layering on and then podcast. I didn't launch till recently. I've been doing content for almost six years now. I just started my podcast last year. I just. Yeah, thanks, bro. And I just didn't have the bandwidth for it, so I knew if I did, I was gonna do it half ass. And so I'd love to talk about this, bro. And then we can get into some.
Tactics as well and real quick on the time thing, because this is, this is a limiting belief that, that I, that I hear all the time. I'm telling you guys right now, like, whatever the big priorities are in your, in your daily, like, schedule, you should do first in the day. So like, for me, fitness and getting out a piece of content and this is outside of like my, my relationships and my family and all that sort of stuff. I'm talking from like a daily activity and projectivity schedule, fitness. I got to get my gym in right first thing in the morning and I got to get a post out first thing in the morning. If I can knock those two things out first thing in the day, it sets the tone for my entire day. And then now when I get around to posting later, this is my second post of the day. Not my first, it's the second one you're playing from ahead. You're starting the day with the W. And I'm telling you guys right now, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. If you guys can't find any time and you're like, fuck, I. I'm busy. I get it. You guys have kids, you guys have jobs, you got a bunch of stuff. Life happens. I get it. One of the hacks that works very well for me, I stopped drinking. I'm doing extended seasons of no drinking, and I'm also going to bed on time. Those two things, cutting out alcohol and going to bed on time. You are going to find so much free time in your life that you didn't even know that you had.
Plus you're more efficient with the time you have.
Oh, 100%.
Yeah.
And you're more crisp, your energy levels go up, your fitness goes up. Like everything goes up. It is the biggest life hack that nobody talks about. And so if you're out there listening to this right now and you're like, I want to do content, but I just don't have the time, ask yourself, how many days a week are you going out enjoying drinks? Because when you go out and drink, it's not just one day, it's. It's the day you drink and then it's the entire next day where you're operating at 30% two days cost right there. And so you don't have to do it forever. But I'm telling you guys right now, the hack goes, go through extended seasons of no drinking and go to bed on time. And I'm telling you guys right now, you are going to find all sorts of time to prioritize the content. And by the way, when I started prioritizing the content as the main hustle, everything became easier. All the other things became easier.
The business, well, it solves almost every problem in your life. Like you want more clients.
Yes.
You want better clients. You want to attract people without having to chase them down. You want to be known as a higher value person. You just want more respect when you walk in a room. It's all solved by just getting better at communication online. Like as I got a better communication online, all those other pieces fall into place. So it's the, it's the one domino theory. It's what is one thing that you could do and invest in that would if it happened, everything else just falls into place. That's what we're talking about right here. That's your content. That's your personal brand. And just to reiterate on this time thing, you know, why is it, Rich, that we know if you're in business right now, you're going to relate to this? You start off your day, you start serving everybody else. You know, you pick up your phone, you go straight into looking at other people's content, you go into your emails putting out a fire here, dealing with this client issue, dealing with this staff issue, and you just start serving everybody else. What about you, bro? So what if you put yourself at the top of that list? You would think that selfish. No, it's not selfish. Because now it allows you to be better for everybody else. It allows you to create more opportunities. It allows you to, you know, hire more people and coach more people and just, you're just a better human, like you said, by putting yourself at the top of the list. Dude, I'm a better dad and a better husband because I take care of my shit first in the morning before I do anything else. So make before you manage is the theory here. Just start off the day, make something, serve yourself, and then now watch how the rest of the day goes. Way better.
I couldn't agree more there. And also, like I actually started doing this recently is not taking any meetings on certain days till, till the afternoon. And so now I'm waking up, you know, 4:45, I'm in the gym by 5:30, get my lift in. You know, I come into the office at 7:30, I already got my lift in, I gotta get my post out, I'm moving the needle. And then if I don't take a meeting till the afternoon, it's like I have all that time to move the needle and work on growing the business, work on pushing the ball down the field versus playing catch up and doing busy work. And so that's the biggest difference. The other thing I want to talk about is this. You mentioned the different types of content because there's a bunch of different types of content that you guys been putting out there. Green screens, Twitter posts, short form, talking head videos, and all these day in the life videos. All these types of different videos and pieces of content take different amount of time to put out there. But the one hack that I love, and I'm shocked that more people don't do this, you do a good job of this. But it's Twitter posting. It is the quick and dirty raw form to post. You don't even need a freaking camera. You can get it out from anywhere you are in the world, literally. And it takes two seconds, right? It takes five minutes to come up with the context of the post. You put it out on Twitter, I'll copy and paste it, I'll put it out on threads, I'll screenshot the Twitter post, and then now I put it out as an Instagram reel. And so that five minute piece of content that it took me to come up with now goes out on three different platforms. And by the way, you don't even need a fricking camera.
Yeah. And you don't have to be on video. So a lot of the women in our group are like, Neil, I wasn't camera ready. You don't need to be camera ready for this one. You just need to type text on the screen. So I would tell people this, you know, getting good at writing in the shortest form possible is a skill that is highly effective right now because in a world of, you know, attention all over the place, if the, the creator who can communicate his idea in the least amount of words possible wins the win. That's the win for sure. So I would go on to look at Twitter, look at threads, look at the content that's performing, look at the characteristics of this, like, you know, put your own spin on it, get inspired by others. You'll find your own voice along the way too. But it's really cool to look at that stuff and then be like, okay, here's a thought I had. How can I format it in the same way? And you're right, it takes literally just less than a minute. Maybe you have to tweak the idea a little bit. And then that one piece of content can go so far. And I'll give you guys a hack for turning this into a reel. We've seen this perform huge, millions of views. Is you just take that screenshot and put it on Instagram and make it four seconds. I don't know how long you make yours rich. I put mine on for four seconds.
That's the default. Yeah, four, yeah.
And you know what's crazy about this? One of the stats for getting a reel to go viral is did the person finish the, did the viewer finish the video? It's really easy to finish a four second video. Way more than a 40 second talking head video, right? Because you don't have to retain the audience. So you'll get the completions, you'll get the shares, easy shareable content because you said something impactful and it just takes off. So I've had millions of views with just one thought. One hack that I like to use is take an image and put the tweet style post over that image if it correlates. So let's just say I'm talking about family. I had a post recently, just a picture of me and my wife and it went viral. So I was just gonna post that picture as an image. Post on Instagram probably would have done okay with my followers, but instead I put it as a real still image, 4 seconds. And I put one of my tweets about marriage over that. The video did millions and millions of views. Four seconds.
I love that because let's just say that it would have took someone 4 seconds to read that, that post, but then now you put an image behind it and instead of them looking at it for four seconds, they might look at it for five and a half and then that triggers the algorithm to push it to even more people. And the other thing is this is like people can read a lot quicker than they can watch a 45 second video. And so it's efficient. I think the Twitter posts work great in the morning. If you guys are going to post twice. I personally like to post the Twitter post in the morning. Because think about it, guys, on a weekday morning, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning, people are busy. Like they're going to work, they're dropping the kids off to school, they're going to the gym, like there are, they're in hustle mode. They don't have time to sit there and watch a 60 second video, but they have four seconds, especially if it's, they're going to gain something from it. It's going to make them feel good about the day, they're going to learn something from that post that makes them feel good. And oh, by the way, people love to share the Twitter posts to their stories because they gain value from it as well. And then that's a good way for people to find you. And so if I look at my best performing posts, my content looking back sometimes, and actually often it's not these like high produced podcast clips, often it's these quick and dirty raw Twitter posts that took me three, four, five minutes to come up with.
Yeah. And if you ever want the hack on this, I'll show you guys, here's how you can use AI to make your written content 10 times better. So let's just go to ChatGPT and you need to, you know, with ChatGPT, a lot of the responses are not formatted and people you can tell when they just copy pasted ChatGPT, it doesn't, it doesn't work right. So what you want to do is give it a thought. So say, hey, you know, I want, just talk to it like a human. Say, look, I'm looking to make impactful, short, really punchy written content for Twitter. Help me turn this thought into a short impactful tweet and then just give it your thought, it will expit it back to you in a way. Now it's not gonna be copy paste, but it's gonna give you pretty close to what you want and then you make the small tweaks. I think the biggest hack with content of coming from AI is you still need to make the tweaks. You don't wanna just copy paste it because it'll get you like 90% there. Now I've seen people go back and forth with it to make it Even more refined to where it just gives it to you straight up. But for me, I just use it as a thought partner. Hey, here's what I'm trying to do. Can you help me with this? Like, dude, act like it's your friend and just go back and forth with it a few times and you'll get a pretty good result.
Yeah. And I think there's a, there's a sweet spot with the Twitter posts. Not too long, but also not too sure. And if you, if you do it over and over and over, you start to really learn what people respond to, what they don't. But here's the other game is, is, and I want to talk about this with you, is split testing. So you know, her Mosey does a great job of this. Dan Martell is doing a great job of this right now. The people at the top right now that are growing quickly are doing a lot of split testing. And so, you know, Hermosi is doing like 6, 7 Twitter posts a day on Twitter and threads. And at the end of the week that's, you know, 42 posts. And then he can pick the top seven of the 42 and then those are the ones that go on on Instagram and those go out as reels and then once they perform as Instagram reels, then he, those are the hooks for his short form videos and then he can use that as the hook and then he can relate a personal story or personal experience to the video that's going to pop off. And then he can double down and put that onto a podcast. And that now that Twitter post is the title of a podcast episode and, or a YouTube video. And it all starts with split testing. The Twitter post on Twitter and threads. I think that's the hack. Dan Martell's doing a lot of split testing with the, the, you know, 30, 45 second TikTok videos and he's only taken the best TikTok videos and then putting those on Instagram. And one thing that Sam said, his content guy, which I found interesting, I want to get your thoughts on, is he said the key to really growing on Instagram is to only put out bangers. And how do you only put out bangers? Is by split testing everything before you put it out there.
That's huge.
What are your thoughts there?
So I think as you get further along, that would be the best way to do it. Right. Because now it's, it's not, it's proven content. They're not messing around like it's. If you're going to do it, you may as well do it right. But I will tell you this. Maybe somebody doesn't have the bandwidth to do the split test and all that stuff first. The easy way to do that on with written content is, like you said, Twitter and threads. On threads, it's actually easier to get organic reach than Twitter. Twitter is very difficult to get organic reach. But you'll notice that one of these posts on either platform will get just slightly more love than the other one. So write ten of them. The two or three that do will, well, those are the ones that you want to use on Instagram as you're written, you know, as your tweet style posts in the feed. But you can also use Instagram stories to test. I don't know if you do this, but you could take a post that's going to be a reel, throw it up in stories and see how many people heart. See how many people react. And people share your Instagram story too, if your account is public. So you can get use that as a signal.
Yes.
And so this is really important, this is a concept for everybody, is bro, the best marketers in the world, and we're going to talk about monetization here in a minute on how to turn this into, you know, into more revenue and, you know, get rich, if that's what you want to do. But the best marketers are not looking for sales with their content. They're looking for signal, just the signal. So what are the signals? Okay, well, they liked this. They like this. Or, you know, somebody's ready to move forward with me when I talk about this. You have to look, you have to become an expert at looking for the signals because that's what's going to give you the indication of what's going to work.
Yes. That's so good. I'm glad that you mentioned split testing on, on the story because, you know, if you guys have an Instagram and you put out a story, you're going to get a small fraction of the views that you will if you put out a static post, a carousel or a reel. But you can go through the people that watch your stories are typically going to be your closest followers. And you can see how they engage with it, the number of likes, the number of shares. People will share a story if it's good. Like when I put these Twitter posts out as a story, I always, I always put out as a story as well. And people share that stuff. So that's a great way to split test. I'm glad that you brought that Up. I want to talk real quick before we get into the monetization, monetization on all that. We're going to give you guys different ways that you guys can be monetizing the brand. But before we get into all that stuff, Neil, I'm curious for you. What are some other types of posting that, that you like to utilize? Because obviously we got green screens, we got Day in the Lives, we got short form, we got podcast clips. There's so many different ways to skin the cat. What are some other ways to post that you like that that you're currently using?
So easy post that anybody can make, especially if you're short on time, is a green screen video. So here's the mistake most people make. A green screen video is your head is covering up the headline. So step one of a green screen video is find a good headline. The cool thing about these, bro, is the publication already went through the effort of coming up with the best. Yeah, they probably, they're trying to get clicks, bro. They split, tested like 14 of them.
Right?
And the one that you're using is the one that they went with. So you get to take all the work that, let's just say Wall Street Journal did with their headline and they went with the click most clickable one. You get to take all that work and just use that headline. Now just format it. This is the step that most people miss is like format it so people can see it. So what I do is I screenshot that, but then I trim it down a bit so that way it fits in the reel and people can see it. And then make sure your head is not covering it. A lot of people start one of these and your head's covering the most important part, which is the headline.
And so if you're asking, you're out there asking like, what the f. What the hell is a green screen? I'm going to actually do one right after we get done with this podcast. There was a big aviation accident last night over Dulles airport in Washington, D.C. american Airlines or American Eagle and a army helicopter collided on short approach. And that's a very rare accident. I was an 11 year air traffic controller. That is trending news right now. And so as an 11 year traffic.
Yeah, that's crazy.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna go speak on that. Right? And so now I can just go Google, okay, what's, what are the different headlines? There's going to be a bunch that pop up, but I can use one of those headlines. I screenshot it. I go into the Instagram app and literally just do a talking head over it. And guys like Neil mentioned, like these things already get clicks. People share them. It's a great way to grow. And literally all you need to do is talk about what happened and then put your little spin on it and that's it. And people are going to share it, people are going to save it. And those are my. Some of my most viewed videos, all these green screens. And guess what? Anyone can do it. It's very quick.
And that is the. You don't have to come up with, you don't have to be a great content creator. It's a relaying the news. And then the part that would help your video reach a lot of people on a, on a green screen is what's your point of view on this? So give the thing and then maybe you give your take on it really easy and then they get a lot of engagement saved and share. So if you're ever short on time, just go into the Apple News app and you can start searching for what's trending news in Apple News or it should work in Google as well if you have an Android. But it should tell you based on your interests. So you can go into the interests and the categories and you could select. So say I'm into real estate, mortgage interest rates, housing, affordable housing. Select those topics and it will give you the best headlines in there. Then you're good to go. And you could just pick from one of those screenshot it, put it as a background 30 seconds on what happened, what's your point of view on this? And it'll crush. So that's a simple one. Another type of content that I love doing right now is quick storytelling as a reel. Okay, so I know we talk about stories. I'm telling you to tell us. Yeah. So this is really important. I think that people are missing right now. Talking head videos. Generic talking head videos are pretty much debt, you know, unless you're a thought leader. So if you're coming up and you're like trying to teach on social, it's difficult.
It's not, hey, here are top, top three reasons to get into real estate.
Yeah, yeah, it's too generic, right? So what you want to do is go more specific. What's really crushing right now is really authentic content. Well, how do you be authentic? Tell a story, because that's something that only you can tell. But the problem with most people's storytelling is it's just one thing. And this happened and this happened and then you lose people. So it's just, it's like, it's. We don't know where we're going. It's too long winded. People ramble on. So just think to yourself, when somebody tells you a story, what do you hate? Like, what do you. What. What bothers you? What grinds your gears? Well, I don't like it when there's no point. I don't like it when it just goes on and on and on and they put too much context. I don't like this. I don't like. Okay, so those are the things that you should not do when you tell a story on Instagram. That's the first step. Okay? So I would say this three step formula to telling a good story as an Instagram Reel or TikTok. Find a recent event, something that happened in your life, either business or personal, doesn't matter. Pick a recent event, okay? Find the emotion in it. What's the lesson or emotion in it? Think about this before you tell it, okay? And then the last step, which is really important, is talk about it like you're just catching up with a friend. So, one, two, three, Recent event. What's this? What's the lesson or emotion? Talk about it like you're just catching up with a friend and that needs to be, I would say, 40 seconds or less. Don't go like, I know you can go three minute reels. Don't tell three minutes unless you're the best.
Is it three minutes now?
You can go to three minutes, but.
Like, it used to be a minute and a half.
It's three and they just expanded.
Damn.
But I don't think that the average person can even. Me. It's going to be hard for you and me to retain somebody on Instagram where they're just looking for the click. Now YouTube, totally different. That's fine. Tell the whole thing. Go into depth. You could tell a 15 minute story, but on IG, bro, you got to do 40 seconds.
Yeah, I agree. I think general rule of thumb, especially early on, you're building the audience. Not a lot of followers stick to 40 seconds or less or even 30 seconds or less. People have a short attention span.
And what will happen is you'll tell it once, bro. You'll go selfie style or walking and talking, whatever you want to do, and you'll be like, dude, that took me like 90 seconds to say, There's a 30 second version, bro. I'm telling you, start taking out the context. That doesn't apply. A lot of us provide too much context in stories. That you're telling, and it's just not applicable. So you have to tell yourself, hey, if I removed this line, would people still understand what I'm saying? If so, remove it, keep cutting it down, and then you'll. On take number seven, you'll end up with the 37 second banger. That's the video you post.
That's the hack. I'm glad you said that. And watch the video, guys. Before you guys go to post it, watch it and ask yourself, if, if. If I was watching this piece, where would I get bored and drop off as the user? Okay, well, then cut that part out, and then watch it from the top. And then watch it again, and then ask yourself, okay, where else would I cut off? Cut that part out, and then, boom, watch it from the top. And maybe that means you got to rerecord it, and that's fine. But that's going to be the difference between a post barely performing or being mediocre and actually seeing a lot of traction and getting good reach.
Yeah. And it's like, put yourself in. In the shoes of the viewer. Ask somebody, you know to watch it, look at their eyes. You can see. And just tell them, bro, like, where do I lose you? Hey, don't. Don't pat me on the back and give me good feedback. I need negative feedback. Where does this video lose you? And they're like, bro, you lost me at that word. And like, okay, then you know that, hey, that word was too much industry jargon. Let me change that. Or that line was where I lost you. Or, this thing's going on too long. And just look at the reactions and then post it. Now, for somebody coming up, bro, there'd be like, neil, I thought you said, just get the stuff posted done is better than perfect. I would say that's true in the beginning, but this section of what we're talking about right now is being intentional, like, actually doing the work. Right before we shot this podcast, Rich told me to come in his office. We jammed for 15 minutes about what we're going to talk about. If we didn't do that, the podcast wouldn't be as good. So a little bit of prep, guys. Just maybe one more take goes a long way. And it's. And it's like this, bro, the best thing about content and digital marketing is small tweaks give you massive results. You taking one more take is the difference between a thousand views and a million views. It could be. Right. I'm just saying that if it goes viral, or it could be a Hundred thousand, whatever, ten thousand, whatever your size is. But that's a big difference, bro. That's a thousand percent increase. 10,000% increase for just doing it one more time. Like, where else in life could you do that, bro?
No, it's a big hack. And that's why I say, I say do a little bit of prep and put a little bit of like effort into what you guys are putting out there. And like you said early on, put out whatever you want, get the reps in, but as you guys try to get better, and the goal should be to get 1% better with every piece of content, with every piece of podcast that you put out there, get 1% better. And that is the, the hack there. If you love real estate investing, passive income and tax benefits, but don't have the time. My company, Summers Capital, is buying boutique hotels right now. We source the deal, we renovate the properties, and we even handle all the day to day management, making it truly hands off for our investors. If you want to learn more to see if we can help you, visit summerscapital.com/invest to book a call with our team. Again that summerscapital.com/invest. Now back to the show. Any other pieces of content that we should touch on before we move on?
Okay, so we did green screen. We talk about storytelling as a Instagram reel. One big thing I will tell you is there's a shift in the platform that happened in the last 12 months.
What's that?
Over edited videos. Okay. So when you look at reels, especially Talking Head or any kind of real. If you have a bunch of transitions and effects and colored text, distracting, it's just too much, bro. I think people moved on with their taste. So a lot of people blame the algorithm. Well, the algorithm is just following what viewers watch. Just imagine the algorithm is just one. Dude, did you watch your video or not? If you didn't watch your video, then it doesn't work, right? So the algorithm is telling you that the viewers don't like this type of content anymore. They just don't engage with it. So it's better than nothing. But honestly, it's easier to make a less produced video. It's more authentic. So some of my videos, bro, we have an editing team. I don't even do the flashy edit. I'll just sometimes cut the clip, get it tight, and then just post it with the simple Instagram captions and it performs. I'm like, okay, well why did we do all this fancy editing? Maybe that wasn't necessary. So I'm split testing that right now, but that's a big trend. The other trend is there's certain things that you would only post in your Instagram story last year that should now actually be a feed post.
Give an example.
So let's just say last year I would show a behind the scenes clip of this, of what we're doing today, and a lesson I learned. And I'll be like, dude, that's not really worthy of my feed. I don't want, you know, you put your feet on a pedestal, it's perfectly curated. And so, bro, what if you just put that in the feed, test it, you know, you'll, it actually performs. And sometimes it might perform better than what, you know, normal. So some of these personal things that I would normally only post behind my story behind stuff I'm now posting every once in a while as an Instagram reel. And it allows it to reach way more people because like you said, Instagram Stories only reaches a fraction of your followers, the most engaged followers. If you post it in the feed, it can reach weight all those people, more of your followers and now has a chance to reach strangers. And you don't need a bunch of followers to do this, by the way. If you have freaking 100 followers, you can post it as a reel and it might reach 10,000 people. That's dope.
A couple more pointers here on the, on the reach. So if you guys are putting out Instagram reels, this is going to go to a large percentage of people that don't follow you in some of your followers. But if you guys want to just target solely your followers, do a carousel static post. Like static. Like maybe you could take six photos and literally just do a carousel. You can go up to 20. But when I do these carousels, they go to a high percentage of my followers and only my followers. Not many people see it that don't follow me. And so if you're trying to do like a CTA or a call to action to people that are warm followers, organic followers, I like to use the carousel post. And the reels are great for growing your audience because new people are going to discover you. Another hack that I'm using right now that works very well. I started using this about six months ago. This works very well. Whenever you guys are doing short form videos or maybe you're, you're clipping out segments of a podcast, I like to have a floating sticker for like the first three to four seconds. That's going to be eye catching. It's going to Be some sort of a hook and it's going to give a person the reason to watch the entire video. Right. That has increased the watch time. That has worked very, very well. And, and the difference between having the sticker and not having a sticker could be the difference of a real, like literally doing mediocre and actually getting a million views.
Yeah. That's a written hook on screen title. Yes. Two to three seconds tells you why you should watch this video.
Yes. And it also allows you to jump into the actual context of the video sooner without having a long, drawn out hook of explaining what's going on. You can literally just jump into the video and then. And then the sticker is now your hook.
Yes. So this is a great point. This is a big thing I think people missed in the last year. It changed from, you do no longer need to set up your video. You just need to cut to the chase. So you said earlier, top three tips for real estate, tips for 20, 25. You don't need to say that. The written hook can say that. And you're on tip number one. The first line out of your mouth. Okay. The first thing you need to do is X. The audience loves it. Just catching you in the middle of the lesson rather than guys, today I wanted to pop on and tell you, dude, those videos are dead. Nobody's going to stick around for that.
Yeah. Or maybe you're a real estate agent listening right now. And I think one of the biggest mistakes that I see real estate agents making when I watch them put out content is they're just sitting there selling. It's nothing exciting, it's boring. Hey, here's my MLS number. Hit me up if you guys want to buy or sell a home in Sacramento. Now let's jump into the video. It's like, no, no, no, no, no. Like, if I was a real estate agent and I'm not, I would go and find the sexiest, dopest, fricking properties in my market on the mls. And I would go hit up those listing agents and say, hey, I'm going to come to a property tour. I'm going to feature you as the listing agent. And I would go find that 17 million dollar home in LA Jolla and I would, I would start my videos in front of a $17 million property in LA Jolla and I would go and like literally feature all the wow factors of the property. Hey, it's got a 24 foot kitchen island, it's got a speakeasy, it's got this backyard with a pool Table overlooking the freaking Pacific Ocean. Like those types of videos will go viral and then people are going to start to view you as hey, Neil's the frickin luxury real estate agent in frickin San Diego. I'm going to shoot him a follow. And in your bio you guys can have whatever it is that you guys are trying to plug, whether it's your business, whether your real estate agent, whatever the fuck it is, that's a hack. But to circle back on what we're just talking about, if you guys are doing a property tour, you don't have to sit in there in front of the front door and say, hey guys, we're standing in front of a $17 million property located in La Jolla. Follow me and let's go take a tour. You can literally start the video, you walking in the front door talking and the sticker can say, come to the $17 million beachfront property you said.
So much more efficient for the viewer. Yes, put yourself in the viewers like they don't want to watch your intro. I know you want to make it about yourself, but it's about the house. So find the, this is the hack for anybody in real estate posting short form tours. Find the most like find the best part of the property, whether it's the view, the kitchen and you want to be in that spot. You know, have the video start in that spot because that's your hook. And then you can put the on screen title with any details on it. And then bro, you could be in the video or not be in the video. Maybe you're just walking through. Maybe at the end you say something but don't, but lead with the best. Don't put like so many times I find that the best of the video is like towards the end or even in the middle. The truth of the, the fact, the sad truth is nobody even got to it because they scrolled past you. So. And bro, this is a little risky, but I will tell you if somebody does this, they will win. And I've yet to see very few people do this in real estate. Now I've seen it done in other industries, but this is going to sound totally fucking backwards, bro. What if you made content about as a real estate agent on why how to buy a home without a real estate agent. What if you taught like, say you're a mechanic and you taught them not to need you. What if you're like doing this thing and you taught them to do everything? So what people don't realize is the trends of the viewer and the in, in the in of of everybody right now is they want to do diy, but then they don't want to do the work. So they just want to act like they can do it themselves and learn about it. But then they might need you, right? Because they're like, you know what? I don't want to deal with all this. And it also allows you to show the cool expertise that you have. So if somebody has the balls, bro, to put out the content of why they don't need you, here's how you can do the contracts, here's how you can do everything. And bro, I'm just putting out there, you don't need me here. I'll teach you how to do it yourself. And you'll save a bunch of money by doing this. Your content will go viral. You'll build your email list, you'll build your prospect list, and then within there, there's going to be people that want to work with you, that just want to hire you because you're the expert and you showed it. Everybody doesn't want to give the best tips because they want to. They want you to need them. You put your best out there like they don't need you and you win.
That's so good. And they're going to grow their audience much quicker and they're going to build trust. And by the way, all those people that even though you give them all the secrets on how to go do it themselves, they all still want the support and they want someone to hold their hand and they want someone to do it for them. They still want the done for you model. And so I think it makes perfect sense and give it all away and.
Then sell the implementation. I don't know who said that shit, but that's gold.
That's so good.
It's. The value of information is risen. Like, people want good information. And you would be the only real estate agent doing this. You'd be the only mortgage person do this. You'd be the only plumber doing this. Everybody else is like, yo, call me if you need it. I can't tell you because you can't. You know, most real estate agents, like, this is a terrible market and you need my expertise and I'm going to guide you. It's like, bro, that's the same sales pitch from everybody else.
Yeah. And today, a step further. If you own your own real estate brokerage and you just build this big brand and audience on exactly what we're talking about and doing property tours and just blowing this audience up like what, what does Boom. Hey, by the way, if you, if, if this sounds like too much work for you, we can make it. Hands off. Here's what we do. Boom.
Exactly. And then same with content. What is the content that performs the best for content creators? How to do it yourself. I'm giving you guys the goal. I'm giving you the tips right now. Now if, if I, I don't sell this, but like, if I, if I was an agency and I sold how to do it for you, I'd be like, yo, here's how to do everything. Here's all the tips. This, by the way, if you just want someone to, an expert to do all this for you so you can just focus on what you want to do, there's a link in the, like, that would blow up.
Yeah. That's so good.
That's just the, it's just a tip that I think very few people understand in a client service business.
Yeah. What do you think about the Instagram trials feature? Because we're talking about split testing. You know, if someone's out there now, it's like, well, you can test anything on the trials feature. What are your thoughts on using it?
So I'll give you guys a hack on how to use Instagram trials to blow up your account. Okay. This is something that, and I don't know how long this is going to work for because I think they might catch on. But right now, the intended purpose of trial reels is to test content and it gets tested with non followers. It's not going to show up to your followers. Doesn't even show up in your grid. You can just do it behind the curtain, so to speak. So that's cool. You could use it for that. That's fine. I've tried it. But here's the way that you can actually blow up your account is find your best content. Okay. That you've posted. It's already proven. Like you said, it's already worked. Take that reel and post it as a trial reel. It's not going to show it to your followers again. And whatever happened the first time is likely to happen again. But now with a brand new audience, trial reels only go to new people. So you get to basically tell Instagram, hey, only show this to strangers. But you know, in your head, bro, this is a banger. It's going to work. So I don't know how long it's going to work for, but because now.
Because when you, when you repo and you, by the way, you guys should recycle Old content, for sure.
You should just post it anyway.
You have new followers over. Let's just say, like, something popped off six months ago, for example. Well, all your new followers in the last six months haven't had a chance to watch it. But also, like, even if a reel pops off, not 100% of your followers saw it the first time. And so you should repost now. When you repost too much, the people that already saw it, that follow you, they're not going to engage and it becomes stale. And so it might not pop off again, but this is the hack and the way around it. So let me ask you this. If you post the Instagram trials feature, and let's just say it starts popping off with all these new followers. I'm sorry, with all these people that don't follow you, at what point do you make it official on your grid?
Because so if I think if it takes off and it's already proven like it's doing well there, you could just tap one button and it puts it in the grid and it's actually a real post. I think that's fine, especially if there's been enough time since you posted it. Like you said, most people don't remember it anyways. But let's. If you want to do this a lot right now, which you should take your bangers, post them there. And there's no like in the feed right now. If you post more than twice a day, you notice the biggest creators that are going the fastest, Alex Hermosi, Dan Martell, they're only posting twice a day in the feed on Instagram, because if you post more than twice a day in the feed, it reduces your reach. Yeah. So they post in the morning and they post once in the afternoon, and they do the seven days a week. On other platforms, you can post more than that, but on Instagram, that's the way it is in trial reels. There's nothing like that because not even in the feed. So you could just go post seven trial reels right now and just see what happens.
Question for you.
It could be all cooking behind the curtain.
People follow you from the trial reels.
Yes, they will. They will. So what you want to do is you take a trial reel and just make one tweak to it. This will help you. At the end of the trial reel, throw in a quick little text, follow me for more. You know, like you want more follows in the caption somewhere, anywhere. Just add the CTA somewhere. Because what?
I've never even seen a trial reel pop up. On my feed, it doesn't show up as a trial reel to them.
No, they don't know it's a trial. Doesn't. But it's all new people. So it's literally like, dude, Instagram's like, hey, dude, if you want to help finding new people to know like about you or your account, just let me know. So I don't think people are using it this way and I know it's not the intended purpose, but it will work. So I'm going to take literally, I've only done this three times and it's working. So it just reminded me when you said trial reels that, that we need to be doing this. Everybody listening to this podcast needs to be doing this. And if you're listening to this six months later, it's probably not going to work. So if you listen to it now, try it now and go through your content, make it sure it's a banger. Don't do it with like unproven content. It's not going to work as well. But do it with the proven stuff and it'll crush.
And. And you're saying that you could. There's no limit to how much you can post.
Correct.
You could put out 10 in one day and still gonna all put.
I did three in one day and they all did well. Wow. But it's behind the curtain. No, it's not even affecting my feed posts.
And so when you get new followers. Because when I get new followers now, it says like someone so and so followed you from your reel. So and so follow you from a real.
Will it say like, yeah, it's also.
Fall from a trial reel. Or it.
It'll say it followed you from the reel. But also you can go to the insights. It takes 24 hours. But on trial reel section you can click the insights. It'll tell you how many followers you got from really? From that video.
Damn.
Specifically. Now that stat is not always accurate because that's the only thing it tracks is if it showed up in the feed and they hit the follow button, that's counted as a follow directly from this video. But you, you and I know if they people sometimes go to your profile, they'll binge watch. They go to other videos, they binge watch, they might go to the.
And then they follow on your. On your profile and that doesn't show up.
That doesn't count in that little section. You really don't know. But you'll see your number go up and you know, you're like, dude, it's Working. So I just came across that I think people can try it.
Okay, I want to switch gears here and talk a little bit about what I feel is one of the hacks is. Is long form content. One, it's a. It's a way to build a lot of trust. But the podcast and, you know, it's a way to, you know, meet your long form content. But also, if you shoot your long form correctly, you almost don't have to shoot any short form or a lot less short form because you can clip out the long form and then there's your short form. The other, the other reason I love the long form, man, is it gives us the ability to connect with folks that you normally would not have the ability to connect with. What do I mean by that? I just think about my podcast and the names that I've been able to connect with. Grant Cardone, Pace, Morby, Pineda, yourself, Dan Martell, Jordan Belford. All these guys I've been able to connect with and have conversations with because of the podcast. And I get to ask them whatever questions that I have. And so whether you guys are starting from something brand new, like, when I got into podcasting in 2009, I knew nothing about real estate investing. I knew nothing about business. But because I've been able to interview so many people that are smarter than me, I've been able to legitimately ask them questions that I genuinely had, and I get to learn from them. And I always pick up every single guest. I always pick up two, three, four nuggets from, and then I get to implement those nuggets into my own business, which is like the ultimate growth hack. And, oh, by the way, it builds trust even for people that don't listen to your podcast. They see you putting out podcast episodes like clockwork every single week and rubbing elbows with different guests. And then they start to view you as the expert, even if they don't listen to your podcast. So it builds trust at scale.
Yes. And the. The truth is, people will tell you that podcasting is saturated. It's not saturated if you do it correctly, meaning you do a little bit of research beforehand. So it's going to be good. You set up a studio like someone's like, well, dude, I don't have the funds to do it. Well, start small and build up to it. This is an investment. You know, Rich has a studio here. We're in the dope studio in downtown San Diego. It's not cheap, but you did it right. You, you, you realize the value of this. So now When a Grant Cardone comes to San Diego, you can DM him. You could send an email to his team and say, hey, while Grant's here, let's do a podcast. It solves a problem for the influencer as well, because what the influencer needs is more content. They want to be on good podcasts. They want to come into any city in the country and jump on your show. So you guys don't believe this, but these big name individuals want to be on your podcast. The only thing is, you need to be worthy of that now to be worthy of that. You don't need to be huge, huge followers, all this thing, but you need to do it with intention.
So.
So dial up the look of your set. Make sure you're doing these videos correctly. If you do that, incidentally, all your other podcasts will start to grow as well. So I found, like, I didn't really do it because I thought I'd be Joe the next Joe Rogan. I just said I'm gonna do one. You're doing one. Three a week, bro. I'm doing one a month. One or two a month. But I need to have a podcast because why? Because I live in Las Vegas. People are in Vegas for events all the time. And it is the easiest hack to connect with an influencer, to say, hey, I noticed you can be in Vegas. Let's shoot a pod while you're here. The. My studio is 15 minutes from the Strip. Here's a list of my recent guests. Here's my. Here's my link to the video I just did with Alex Hermos. Here's a link to the video I just did with Gary Vee. You know, so then it's like, oh, shit, Neil's legit. I'll come by now. Who do you reach out to when you don't have those guests? We'll start with the micro influencer. Work your way up to the next influencer. You should be leveraging each episode to get the next person.
Yes, 100%. And, and once you guys book, like, one bigger name guest, that's the guest that you leverage when you guys go reach out to other guests. By the way, Grant Cardone just came, came on the podcast, would love to have so and so on. We have a studio here, let's make it easy, blah, blah, blah.
But I'll send a car. Like, just make it easy to say yes. So many times people reach out like, hey, dude, we'd love to pick your brain. Nobody wants their brain picked. No, no, no, that's. That's coming to it selfish. But if you're coming to be like, hey, I have a podcast, I have a studio, I have a podcast that I do well, it's going to be easy, let's do it. And that now you're actually providing value. And they need the content, they want the clips. Like, I'm here, bro. I text you. You messaged me a long time ago. Then I was like, I'm going to be in town, let's shoot a pod. Because I want to do it too. So I think people don't think, they just don't think like two steps ahead. But you think it's selfish, but it's actually helping the other person.
And for the people out there that say, hey, I missed the train with the podcast, I missed the boat with the podcast, that, that ship already sailed, guys. I'm telling you right now, the podcast listeners worldwide. In 2000, in 2019, we had 274 million podcast listeners worldwide. Last year, 2024, we just hit 504 million podcast listeners worldwide. People can now learn more listening to podcast episodes than they can going to a four year university. Unless you're trying to become a doctor, an attorney, or a chemistry, you can literally learn more listening to podcast episodes than you can going to a four year university. And so the number of podcast listeners is doubling essentially every five years. Everything is going away from the tv, it is all going to podcasts, it is all going to the iPhone. I'm telling you guys right now, the podcast is undervalued attention right now. There's not a lot of hosts. 80% of podcasts die within the first 10 episodes, right? So it's the long game. It's not going to blow up overnight. Look at Joe Rogan. That's a perfect example. Joe's done three episodes a week, every single week, like clockwork for 15 years. And look what it's done to Joe's brand, right? It's, it's insane. I mean, literally, Joe can pick up the phone and invite anyone in the world. Presidents, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, like whoever the fuck he wants to connect with.
You will be there to go have.
A three hour conversation with them. Like, think about that as a fucking hack.
The last election was decided in part due to President Trump going on Joe Rogan's podcast. It was one because one candidate chose to embrace podcasts and one chose to duck duck them. You know, honestly, right? And regardless of your political affiliation, you have to acknowledge the facts of, like, why the election was won. So the most Powerful office in the world was decided based on podcasts. If that doesn't convince you to start, you know, your podcast, I don't know what else will, right? So you might think, well, Joe Rogan, that's far fetched. Well, what about this, bro? What if you just used your platform, your podcast to just connect with people? So it's, it's the local guy you want to do business with. If you reach out to that person, bro, and you're like, hey, John, I have a podcast. We love talking about business. I would love to interview you, I would love to have you on the show because I really admire XYZ that you've done. How's Thursday at 4 o', clock, bro? He wants to do it. It's, it's a, it's a nod to him. It strokes his ego. And so, like, dude, I'd love to be a guest on so. By the way, anybody watching here, bro, reach out to Rich, reach out to me. Ask us to be on your show. You know, it's so crazy, bro. People know the strategy and then they don't do that. So it's like, if you want a guest, make sure you actually have a legit podcast first. I don't want to do it if it's not legit and it's a waste of time. But if you're actually doing it and you want to guess, hit us up, bro. You'd be surprised how many people will say yes if you shoot your shot.
Yeah, so many people try to connect and they're like, dm and they're like. And this happens at every level. But it's like coffee, lunch, dinner, 30 minutes, hour. Pick your brain. It's like, no, no, no. Just invite them onto your podcast. And guys, you don't have to have this big crazy podcast to get guests on. And bigger name guests. It's a lot easier than you guys think. And we're talking about virtual sets and in person sets. It's like, yeah, in person, that's great if, if you can do it. But I'm telling you guys right now, like, there's nothing wrong with doing a virtual freaking podcast set. You can set up a really nice virtual set for like less than $2,000. And I'm telling you right now, there's a big benefit of a virtual site. It's actually a lot easier to book bigger name guests that live on the east coast, on the west coast, different parts of the country, because now they don't need to fly to you and worry about travel plans and Flights and hotels and all this other bullshit. They can literally just hop on a one hour zoom call and you can have this conversation. It still goes out, it's still, there's still a way to look at, make it look good. But most people listen to podcasts via audio only anyways, and so they're not going to know the difference anyways. And so I'm telling you guys right now, Mike though, start with the virtual, get good mics, the shirt SM7BS are friggin dope. Michael Jackson recorded Thriller on this, on this mic right here. Joe Rogan uses them. All the best podcasts use them. Invest in the sound quality, the production. Don't edit your own podcast. That's not a good use of your time. But I'm telling you guys right now, you don't need to do the in person set. You can always start virtual. And then down the road, once it grows, you can go, you can go in person. And the last thing I want to touch on is this. You mentioned it's easier to bring a bigger name guests on if you got the podcast. I'll give you a perfect example of this. Episode 51 of this podcast we got Grant Cardone on and this is the second time I interviewed him. But the this particular time he was flying into town to San Diego for a freaking conference that he was going to speak at. This REIT paid him $250,000 to fly out from Miami to speak for one hour at the conference here in downtown San Diego, two blocks from our studio. And we just casually pinged his assistant a week before and we said, hey, notice Grant's going to be in town. We have a podcast studio literally two blocks from where Grant's speaking. And they booked it. And Grant came on the podcast, he hung out here for an hour and a half, two hours. We connected for free when they paid him 250 grand just because we got a podcast studio here by the airport. I'm telling you guys right now, it is the fucking hack, it is the secret sauce. Everything is going the direction of podcast and if you do it right, you almost don't need to shoot any short form content, 100%.
And then now you cut the clips. I know you guys collaborated on posts like it's huge. You can collaborate with some of the biggest names and start small and work your way up. That's it, bro. And so I think anybody could do this. Now. One thing that I think people need to realize is use it. You know, you might not be passionate about the thing, you know, And I. I don't know what your thoughts are on this. Rich is like, somebody says, well, dude, I don't really like content. I don't really like this. I. I didn't like it either, but once I saw the benefits, I got passionate about it. Once I started getting a little bit of results, it was like shot of dopamine. Like, dude, I got to do more. I got to do more. So even if you're listening to this and you're like, bro, I don't know. Like, I'm just not that excited. Well, A, I don't know what the frick is wrong with you, but, you know, B. But B, if you're not excited, just start anyways. You don't need to see the whole roadmap before you get going. The. The path will reveal itself. Jesse Itzler told me this at an event. He spoke at our event. He told me backstage. He said, neil, the biggest wins, the absolute biggest wins of my career. And by the way, this guy's a billionaire. The biggest wins for him came from things that weren't on the roadmap. So it's going to be starting the podcast, and it's going to be something Rich does or something I do. Three years from now, we're going to have some connection that leads to a partnership that changes our entire life that makes us the most amount of money possible. We don't even know it exists yet, but it's coming for us. Why? Because we're putting in the work today. So you don't need to know the whole path. Just start, bro, and you'll see some cool things happen. For me. Same things happen. I never would have thought I'd be doing the things I'm doing today, but it all came from me saying yes to hitting record and then getting the video posted.
That's so good, man. You don't know what you don't know. And you never know what kind of doors or opportunities those relationships are going to lead to, those connections are going to lead to. I mean, just think you and I connecting right now. You never know what kind of opportunities that will lead to down the road. All right, I want to. I want to switch gears here and talk about the different ways that you can monetize a podcast or. Or social media content, the personal brand, all that good stuff. The way that. The number one way that we monetize it is the raising private capital for a real estate fund so we can continue to buy more commercial real estate, boutique hotels, all that good stuff. We give our investors Passive income and tax benefits. I remember before I started doing content, I used to have 15 meetings with one investor to raise $100,000. And now because of the way we have everything set up in the brand and the podcast and everything like that, it builds trust at scale and so people reach out. And now we have people investing larger chunks and it's typically just a five minute conversation because they already trust you. The trust is already there. And so we don't have to tell them who we are, we don't have to show them the track record. The trust is already there. And so that's one example. What are some other examples that you like in terms of how you can monetize a personal brand?
So you're going to put out the content and then at some point you need to be paid. You know, last time I checked, you can't deposit your likes and subscribers to the bank, right? You need, you need to get more clients. So if you're in a client service business, how would you get clients? Well, there's some people who will just reach out to you. They're like, you know what, Neil, Love the videos, would love to work with you. X, Y, Z Cool Sally. Dude, I love this content. Can you show me the like, whatever. If you're in real estate or whatever your services, there are going to be people that reach out. That's cool, but it doesn't happen enough. What you need to do is make a call to action and prompt people. So what's your offer? Okay, so if you are in, let's just say real estate, right? Like you want to get more clients, you need to make an offer to people like, okay, how can they work with you? What's the value working with you? And then make a post. You could do this at the end of your post or you can make a specific sales post. Just realize that when you make a ad or a sales post, it's not going to go, it's not going to reach a bunch of people. It's like the whole jab, jab, jab, right hook. When you throw a hook, it's going to be less views on social, but the value of the view is higher. All views aren't created equal. I call this viral for me, bro, if I make a post that's bombed on Instagram, but it got me two clients, that's viral for me because I'm in a high margin business and those clients made a big impact. So if you're in a business where each client is valuable to your bottom line, then it's not about the views on those posts. It's about, did you get a client? And there's a way to get conversations.
Yeah. And if you guys are going to have a ct, a call to action. I think the best way to get the best reach is to come up with a post where you're doing a lot of storytelling. And it could be a carousel. You're doing storytelling. This is where I was five years ago. This is where I'm at now. I did a post the other day that was talking about like, you know, some of the before and afters of a lot of the real estate projects that we bought. And it was a carousel post. And then at the very end, there was a CTA for a webinar. Okay. And that still got a really, really good reach. And that would have got a much better reach. Me doing that, where I'm providing value storytelling versus just having one static post about, hey, here's a webinar. When I said probably 50x what it would have if I just did that.
And so don't go straight to the sales.
No, don't. You need to do.
This is called framing. For anybody who's in marketing, you'll understand. But for the average person, like, you need to frame up what you're about to say. So framing can be done in a number of ways. You could tell a story. A success story works really well. You could show the actual product or service that you're offering. Do product demo. This works really well. You notice the most viral videos on TikTok for e commerce are product demos. They're not about like, hey, buy my widget. No, it's like, here's me using the dang thing. It's awesome, by the way, if you want it, the links down here, but they're showing use of the product. So I'll tell you the number one way that I get clients is I show success. Nothing sells like results. Show the impact you make. Testimonials, testimonials, whatever it is, tell a story about something that happened. And then, by the way, if you. If it's a goal of yours to do the same thing, here's a way that we can work together. So that's at the end, not at the beginning. Because I. I want to tell the success first. People connect with that more. And again, this doesn't have to be a viral post. It's just meant to get you clients. Now the best marketers do something different and this is for more advanced people. But this will crush the game. When I figured this shit out. It changed everything for me.
What's that?
It's not going straight for the ask, it's getting what's one step back from that? You know, like if you look at your goal, what would be a couple steps in the customer journey before that? So, for example, clients on one side of the spectrum, closed deal is on the other side. Most people are just asking to client to make the whole journey by themselves. Now, like you said, if they've been watching your content, if they've been following you, they can move along that journey passively. You don't even have to be there. Like right now, somebody's listening to one of Rich's podcasts, Somebody's watching his video while he's doing this. So your brand is working for you to get them across the journey while you sleep. That's the best. By the way, the best business models grow while you're sleeping. So that's best. Now, what about if you don't have all that ecosystem yet? What could you offer to move them along this journey? Maybe it's one step in the middle, like a webinar. So imagine we just talked about webinars are a great way to get sales and clients. Imagine if you just popped on social without teaching and just said, hey, buy my stuff or join my program or become a client. You wouldn't get anybody. Maybe you get lucky and you get one person. But if you said, hey, I'm hosting a webinar where I'm going to teach X, Y, Z and it's free and I want to provide value, it's limited space or whatever, but I would love to have you on this thing. So come join us now when they join the thing you're going to teach. And you can even let them know in the beginning, hey guys, agenda for today, I'm going to be teaching X, Y, Z. I'm also going to give you guys an opportunity to join my program. I'm also going to give you an opportunity to work with me. And so if we do all this, is that cool with you guys? Cool. Yes. In the chat, boom, let's get into it. Now you get into it. It's not a salesy thing.
Set the expectation.
Yeah, set the expectation. And then at the end, people can bounce if they don't want to hear about the opportunity to work with you. But most people don't because you did such a good job teaching. So now you've framed up your offer. You talked about a 3040 second video and the power of telling something first and then A call to action. Imagine that same effect on 30 minutes. You taught and showed your expertise for 30 minutes and then there's an offer to work with you. The numbers go way up. It's not even just a small amount, it's way up. So then I shifted all my energy to making those steps in the middle really good. Lead magnets, videos on YouTube, podcasts, webinars, events I hosted in person event. I spent 3/4 of a million dollars on my last in person event. Why? Because I wanted my step in the middle to be the best in my industry. I started off spending 20 grand and then it just kept getting better and better. So I'm not saying you have to blow it out in the beginning, but that's a step in the middle to working with Neil. Come to my event. So for you listening and watching, what's your step in the middle? Most people don't have one, bro. It's like work with me or F off.
Yeah. Another way to monetize and this is very simple, guys. And you don't need a big audience to do this. You don't need a big podcast to do this. You could do it or podcast is affiliate marketing.
A hundred percent.
All companies out there are looking for more leads, they're looking for more sales. And the best way to do that is to provide some sort of discount or landing page for you as a content creator. And so whatever your niche is, if you're in the fitness space, there's a lot of fitness companies out there that sell apparel, they sell training, they sell athletic stuff.
And how do you get one of these?
You can literally just reach out to them. They. A lot of, a lot of companies have affiliate programs already set up and you can literally just say, hey, do you have an affiliate program that you guys offer? I would love to start pushing your guys content. You can. Awesome. Get a custom landing page that will be website slash podcast or website slash Rich Summers or Neil and then boom. I'll give you an example. So there's a company out there that does prime corporate services. They set up LLC for business owners and real estate investors and they manage them, they pay the taxes on them, they make it truly hands off and they give you guidance on the correct way to structure them. And so I could do a 30 second clip on the podcast, a B roll that just said or a mid roll that just says hey, are you looking for someone to set up, manage and provide guidance on all the LLC is making it truly hands off? If so, we use prime corporate services. Go to Prime Corporate services slash Rich summers to book a free call and boom. Now you can set up an affiliate. They're going to send you money once a month based on the people that you send over that way that sign up, it is passive income. Yes, it takes you 30 seconds to record it. But after that it is literally passive income. And by the way, anyone can do this. The second thing is this brand deals, you can get, you can get brand deals. I have a brand deal with Bill and so you know, merch and all this sort of stuff. It's relatively easy to set up guys and I'm telling you it's passive income. But I'll say this Neil, the best way to monetize everything is always going to be plugging your own products. And that's why I don't do a lot of plug in for other people. I literally plug my own stuff. Like I would rather get investors for our funds so we can go build and buy commercial real estate and build a big thing. That's me personally. But I'm telling you guys, if you don't have your own backend product, you can easily monetize by plugging other people's stuff.
Yeah, it's huge. And so the number one thing would be get clients for your thing. Whatever you offer, that's your first opportunity there. But then along the way there's going to be opportunities to make money. You know what's crazy Rich is like I got more opportunities to speak, I got more opportunities to promote software. I got like, I haven't had a clothing deal like you yet, but you know, I've gotten technology deals where I was just telling people about the software I use. So let's just say you have a particular software that you use in your business that crushes. You should post about it, tag that company and then let them know in the DMs. Hey, by the way, let me know if you guys want to work together. They'll see that you've already made a piece of content about using the product and they see that you're a good creator. I did this recently with the software that we use and they offered me from that a meeting and that meeting turned into a six figure annual brand deal for me to promote the software. Now here's the crazy shit. I was already going to tell my audience about it anyways. So what this taught me is you were already probably going to wear built. I was already going to tell my audience about this. I was already going to go speak somewhere one day. If you get good at this Stuff, guys, one day you will be paid, not only paid, but heavily paid, for the thing that you used to do for free. You'll do the podcast, you do the videos, you do all this shit, and you're like, dude, I'm working for free. I'm freaking running. I'm not getting anything from this. Guys. Well, just stay focused, get good, and one day you'll be paid, and then someday you'll be heavily paid, and then somebody's gonna ask you, bro, how do you get paid? How do you get all this shit? It's because you had the foresight to think for six months, I'm gonna get good at this. Nobody wants to go through six months of doing this shit for free. Because I did. Because you did. Now we get all these cool deals on the other end, and so that's the part I think most people are missing. You're not going to get a brand deal day one because you're not good at creating. No, but you will if you stick with it.
You will. You will. And so I think whether you're a real estate. Real estate agent, or you have an online coaching business, or you're in the fitness space, like, literally, the brand is everything. Because your competition is likely not building the personal brand, or they're likely not doing a good job of it. And because of that, you get to separate yourself in the marketplace. Charge more higher prices, get better clients, help more people. It goes full circle. The last thing I want to touch on is this, Neil, is like, I see a lot of people get into personal branding. They start it, they do it for a month, maybe two months, and then they drop off. I see a lot of people start podcasts. A lot of my competition has started podcasts. A month into it, they realize, oh, there's a lot of work. It doesn't grow as quickly as it is as I thought it would, and then move on to the next thing, and then, boom, they give up on the podcast. And so I'm telling you guys right now, Neil, I'm sure you can attest this as well. This game is about staying consistent. It's about putting yourself in situations where the hard way is the only way. It's about putting yourself in situations where the hard work has to get done. Like, yes, putting out three podcast episodes is a lot of work. It's not easy. Like, we have to schedule guests. We have to edit this stuff. We have to push it out. It's a lot, a lot of work. There's days where I wake up sometimes and I'm like, I don't want to go shoot three podcasts today, but guess what? I make it a fucking non negotiable. And that compounded over weeks, over months, over years is a difference of being mediocre and someone actually making it to the pros. Yeah.
And that's the big thing of people want to know what's the secret. Well, the secret is the hard path sometimes, you know, and like, you just get over it, just start doing it. And so the way to get yourself there is to structure your stuff in a way where you're winning along the way. It's really hard to go to the gym for me and work out and stuff and dial in my food because I don't see results a week or two in. So then that's why people quit because, like, and I've had to really discipline myself of being like, dude, it worked with content. That's going to work with the fitness journey. So I got to stay with it. But it's hard, man. You like, dude, where's my apps? You know, it didn't come, like, it's not coming for a long time, bro. You're just going to have to stay focused. But with content and with personal brand, there are ways. I know there's no shortcuts in life, bro, but there are shortcuts with this game. If you just learn from the people who have done it well. Like, just get a mentor, like, follow up, like, do the things. Like listen to this show and implement something. We've just given you game for the last hour, bro. You could take one or two things from this free episode and it will make you money if you do it correctly. Right? So just implement the things and then you'll start to win along the way. If you're doing it right, that's going to give you the motivation to stick with it. So, yes, it's hard. It sucks. But the reason why you do it is because you're getting results. If you weren't getting any results, you'd probably be like, fucking. You know, eventually you'd be like, dude, I got to throw in the towel. Or your brain would start to tell you, just quit.
Totally.
So I think that's the hack for everybody watching this thing is like, do it with intention so you can win.
Two weeks ago, three weeks ago, going to the gym, it was packed. I made the comment this morning. I was getting my lift in with my girlfriend Presley, and we're looking around the gym. I'm like, where'd everyone go? I mean, we're 30 days into the year and everyone already gave up. I'm like, what the fuck? And I'm telling you guys, it's the same thing with the content, it's the same thing with the podcast. And so the only way to differentiate yourself is to fucking stick to it, commit to it. This is, this is not something you're going to do for three months. I'm telling you guys right now, you have to commit to 12 months, 18 months, 24 months. That's where you're going to start to see the growth. Put yourself in rooms where your dreams are others realities. Go and listen and study the folks that are successfully growing on social media, the ones that are successfully building the personal brands. Don't go and listen and take advice from people that are doing content that are not growing. And that's the fucking hack. And I promise you guys, if you guys do it for 12 months and you get in the right rooms and you get around the right people that are actually doing it and you have the right accountability and you commit it is going to change more things in your life that you even thought was possible. For me, it was like literally the ability to raise private capital capital, the ability to have better access to deal flow, the ability to hire and retain good quality team members, the ability to connect and level up my network of high caliber, high status individuals. And you never know what kind of doors or opportunities those relationships will lead to. It literally is the freaking biggest life hack. And if you're looking to get in shape, you know what the best accountability is? Go fucking put yourself on camera every single week. Go start a podcast. Because now that you're on camera, that is the best form of accountability to actually get in shape and look good. Neil, anything to add here?
Yeah, it's like build in public is what I want to tell people. Do it along the way. Show the journey. I wish I would have done. I've did it along the way. I wish I would have done more because that's really inspiring people right now is not just showing the success but showing the work. Like, dude, what about like the fitness journey? Those are the best pieces of content. The guy who and gal who shows up and it's like, yo, I'm doing this, I'm putting myself out there, I want to be accountable. Here's my results. Sticking with it years later and they show you that whole, you know, the most viral fitness videos or once before and after and after. Yeah, what's your before and after, bro? Like for me, I've got my first videos from 2019 cringe show, the befores show, the journey. Talk about this. There's people who come and do business with me today because they say, hey, bro, I've been following the journey. I really love the hustle. Did you inspired me. Like, dude, show you have the power. You might think, oh, who am I? I'm not an influencer. That's cool, bro. People actually relate to you more than they do some of the big people because you're just like them. It's not about being remarkable. It's about being relatable in the beginning. Just be relatable and you'll see a lot of people come along with you for this whole journey.
That's so good, Neil. Appreciate you coming on the show, man. Always dropping value. I'm a big fan. Where can the folks get in touch with you? Where can they learn more about everything that you're doing?
So just shoot me a DM on IG at NeilHome. I respond, I check my DMs all the time. And then we have communities where we help people in real estate, mortgage and client services, build their brand and get clients and all that stuff. So if you ever want to learn about that, just go to forward academy.com.
There it is. And next time I'm in Vegas, we'll have to connect. I would love to come on your show, your podcast, next time we connect. He's Neil Dingra. Always dropping value. I'm Rich Summers, listeners. Thanks for tuning in. We'll see you guys the next one. Peace.
