Neel Dhingra grew his YouTube channel to over a million views by cutting his video intros from 1 minute to under 30 seconds. He uses the 3P framework: Pain (the viewer's problem), Pivot (the solution shift), and Proof (credibility). Shorter intros with this structure cut drop-off rates and drove exponential growth.

In the last 12 months on my YouTube long form, I've gotten over a million views. It was because of packaging. Intros is something that we've cracked in the last few, probably 6 months, and it's led to exponential growth in the views and the channel and all that stuff. So this is my 3P framework for YouTube intros: pain, pivot, proof. You wanna identify the struggle and you want to have an aha moment. So there's a pivot, and then there's gotta be some proof that what you're teaching, you have some expertise behind it or some knowledge. I was making 1-minute intros. I even had this cool montage and I looked at the retention chart and I'm like, everyone's leaving. Nobody cared about my cool edits. They care about like getting into it quicker. And so when we tightened up that intro to make sure I give the 3 Ps plus keep it under 30 seconds. And so if there's one thing I want you to take away from everything we're talking about today, it's gonna be how can you make these intros shorter and more impactful?
