4. Follow Along Workouts

Keegan Smith walks through the Follow-Along workouts in the app, which start at Level 0 regardless of your current skill. Short coached sessions use differential training to build skills faster and safer, with shoulder-friendly progressions like keeping your arm close and using dip-bar support before advancing to harder positions.

The follow along workouts allow you to get started and find your level quickly. If you've done some juggling in the past and you can three ball juggle, then I would still encourage you to do the level 0 and build a bigger foundation with some other movements and get some creative ideas that will carry over into what you can do with the level one. And then you're going to have more of a base for doing the level two. But these follow along workouts are short and they allow you to see exactly where you're at and train at the same time as being coached allows us to have a more interactive experience. I encourage you to use the follow alongs because they're going to help you to stay in touch with the cues and the ideas that will help you to progress much faster than if you just juggle on your own. You will get better, but it'll be a much slower process and it'll be a less enjoyable process. Then if you use a bit more variety and a bit more challenge within those time blocks, we've seen people get much, much better, much faster using it. Conversely, oftentimes people stall and then they sort of less interested in the process, less engaged with the process if they're not seeing continuous progress. And you will get continuous progress if you use the systems. In the philosophy, we're going to talk more about using difference in training and differential method, which is one of the biggest hidden secrets in the world of force and skills. When you apply that to your training, you're going to improve faster, it's going to be more enjoyable, you're going to have less injuries, less chance of injury. According to the research, that's what happens and it's been my experience as well. So I hope that all of this that we've put together with the follow alongs makes sense. You can then get into any area of the skills or the force training and start it at whatever level you're at. For individual body parts, for example, the shoulder, a lot of people have issues with the shoulder. I've had many times issues with the shoulder for one reason or another. Starting with exercises where the arm is close by the side of the body is a great place to start. So supporting yourself on the dip bars and you know, holding a weight and lifting it through a small range of motion, these by the side of the body movements are going to be more comfortable initially for most people shoulders than if we start getting the arm up and away from the body where it's going to be less stable and things are being stretched structures are being challenged. So the level zero for body parts also gives you a point for doing something that doesn't challenge the body too much, doesn't irritate, and then that's the foundation for then getting to that next level, getting to that level one, level two, and eventually getting to super resilient structures. We're going to talk more about how all of that works, but that's why we have this structure of the follow along workouts for you to use. So they're in the Lightning tab in the, in the app and you can see there follow along workout, follow on workouts and yeah, enjoy them.
