Dry Fasting & Squatting Everyday (Again)

A lifter in Bali is restarting a daily squat program: one rep per minute for 10 minutes, adding weight each day. He's done this before with heavier loads and more volume, but this time he's keeping it slower and more sustainable while traveling with limited equipment.

Squatting every day again. But we're going to do it in a more joyful, calm way this time. I haven't been squatting for a while. A lot of travel, a lot of different places, places with no gyms. And the goal is to squat on the minute for 10 minutes, one rep. I'm going to go up each day in weight. And we're going to see how it feels. What you're going to see is that by day 10, it's going to be a decent weight on the bar. Day 20, you can easily reset when you hit to the top because obviously it's not going to go up. Strength is not going to go up so fast. 2.55 kilos every day. But if we go up 5 kilos every day, then soon enough we're going to get to a reasonable weight and then we'll see on the other side of that reasonable weight, what happens for strength and just how the body adapts. It's one of the great ways to get lean, get strong. Simple behavior based approach with this squat every day. So usually I've been just kind of punishing myself when I've squatted. Heavy weights in general, gym in general, I've been enjoying the gym. I've been enjoying rope flow training and a lot of bodyweight stuff. A lot of skills, a lot of juggling and I'm as strong as ever on the handstand push ups. My legs are reasonably strong. We'll see how it goes, how we get, where we get to with this, but a simple approach to squat every day. If you're looking for a reset yourself, apologies about this tripod. I don't have a good tripod here in Bali at the moment. But if you want to give yourself a little reset, test yourself, then give it a shot. If not, tell me what you're up to with your squat at the moment, what you're focused on, what weight you're doing. So tomorrow's gonna be a whopping 35 kilos. Maybe we'll do 40, I don't know. Patience, something that I'm working on a little more of. I like doing things quickly, I like going straight to the top. But I haven't done this for a while. Let's see how far we can get with a much slower approach. Last time I really got into squatting. Every day was the toughest approach that you can do. I did 10 by 10 every day for 10 days in a row and I got to 70 kilos. 10 by 10, I almost got 80 and it was good it was fun, it was tough. I got a lot of doms but still only squatting around maybe 140. And we'll see. We'll see what we can get to with this slower approach. What do you think? Am I going to get to a heavier squat? Are you going to get to a heavier squat with this slow and pain free approach or do I need that volume? I'm also hitting the pistols every day together with my handstand push ups. We're going one rep for the 1st of December, two for the 2nd, three for the 3rd. Today we're going to go like that up to the 31st May. You'll get a set of 10 by the 31st handstand push ups. Maybe you will too if you want to join me. Welcome to. Let's see. Strength games can be a lot steadier, a lot calmer, more patient and sometimes I've been in the past also good to go all out. Max it out. It depends what your preparation is and your goals. So we'll go five singles as the minimum, slowly down. Usually there's a big dead spot for me on the squats. If there's no dead spot, that'll be good and then maybe I'll work towards some speed as well. Let's just see how it feels. If we were to go tens, it'll be 10 days until we hit some sort of reasonable weight. See? Appreciate you, appreciate the comments, questions, sharing what you're up to. Let's go to new levels. 2025, the biggest and best year yet.
