Hi everyone. Welcome to camp. I'm so excited to kick off today. Today is mostly a prep day and I just have a few things I want to go over and maybe a few actions for you towards the end of this video. First of all, I'm Nicole and I'm a professional organizer and a YouTuber. You may know me from my YouTube channel and videos that I make. And I just want to say I'm so thankful that you've entrusted me to join me for camp and I am so excited for not only for me to interact with you, but for all of you to interact together. I hope this is a support community and we all build each other up and encourage each other so that we get through the week and we're able to accomplish a ton of stuff and we're encouraged and inspired to continue and build on that momentum after the ch. After the challenge ends. So I'm super excited that you're here and I'm super excited to be your camp leader. A little bit about me. I am a mom of four and a nana of one. I have a three year old granddaughter that I just adore and love. And you know, I've, I've been the full time working mom. I had a long career in it. I worked for a high tech company and I, you know, ran global teams and I've done everything, you know, this bustling career I had to raise my kids and you know, it was, it was tough. I know what it's like. I've been there, I'm still raising my kids, but they're starting to get a little bit older. So the good news is I can relate, you know, to when having the small ones to all the way having some now in college. So I'm excited to help you on your journey no matter where you're at because I can definitely meet you there. Now. This week is going to be a lot of fun. So expect an email from me Monday through Friday and I will include a video that goes over the topic of the day and it's in a kind of an educational instructional video on how you can achieve success in, in each of the spaces that I've selected for the challenge. I promise that the videos will not be any more than 10 minutes. It'll be 10 minutes or less. You can expect them to be concise to the point and enable you to be able to work on that day's topic. In addition to the video, I might include other videos if you want to dive a little bit deeper on that topic. And I will also include any printouts or resources that may relate to that topic. I do urge you to please keep things simple. I for one, I love to get fancy bins and you know, put pretty font labels on everything. But I really encourage you to try to keep things simple, right? And if you're creating a checklist, just create a checklist, print it out or hand write it, work your systems a little bit and then go and start laminating checklists or putting labels on pretty acrylic bins. For now, let's keep it simple. Let's repurpose things you already have. Let's put post it notes to label things throughout the week in these different projects and then you can, you know, kind of up them up up these environment little bit more down the road. But let's keep things simple this week because we have a lot to cover and we want to make things functional. They don't have to be fancy. So please resist the urge to to do all the fancy stuff. Now the other thing that you can expect Monday through Friday is that you will have in the Facebook group. You'll see one post for each day on that day's topic where you can ask any questions, support each other in the community. I'll definitely be monitoring them and trying to get back to you guys as much as I can. And I'm hoping that you post your day's wins and you know, before and after pictures or just anecdotally anything that you were able to accomplish during the day. Because I'm super excited. That's why we're here. So I'm hoping to hear from you in those posts. Additionally, as you know, I'm gonna go live Monday through Friday in Facebook at 4pm Pacific, 7pm Eastern. And the goal there is just so you can ask questions live and again we can celebrate any wins and talk about the day's topics and then we'll then, you know, be done with that and we'll move on to the next topic the next day and we'll repeat that process Monday through Friday. So I hope that all makes sense. And the on Saturday, Saturday I'll have a zoom session where we can all get together. I can answer any questions that you have and I'm going to give out prizes. As you hopefully saw when you registered. I've selected some different badges and prizes that I'm going to give out to different people during the camp. You and I'm going to utilize the daily Facebook post. You know, people who are engaging, having transformations and commenting. I'm going to utilize that to try to figure out who wins all the different awards and I also utilize the Facebook lives and people that communicate and come onto the lives. So if you want to get one of the prizes which I will tell you is Amazon gift cards for each one of the awards and you can buy you know, organization, product or anything you want and if you want to be eligible. So make sure you show up in the Facebook post for the day day as well as the Facebook Live if you can. If you can't show up to the Facebook Live, I totally understand they will be recorded so you can watch them whenever. As far as prep for the week, there's a couple things that you could do right? One of the things is you'll be doing is you may be doing some decluttering or throwing away stuff during the week while as you go through the different spaces. So I'd encourage you to prepare a trash bag, a donate bag and a maybe find a new home bag. Those are generally the three that I use the most and it can be a paper bag, plastic bag, garbage bag, box, bin, whatever you want, throw a piece of tape and write you know what it what the name of each one is or a post it whatever you need to. But make sure you have those handy for the week because it'll be super helpful and you can just keep adding to those throughout the week and then getting rid of them at the end. So don't forget to do that. The other two things I will link a video for my framework on how I like to approach all my organization projects projects and they'll ensure you have success with all of your projects whether they're this week or going forward. And it's called the Sorted method. So I have a quick four minute video and a link to a guide that also has a printout that you can do for any project you want to work on. And I really encourage you to watch that quick video to learn about it and know that it's a quick framework that you can use and it'll help ensure success for all of your organization projects. So that's, that's one of the resources. The second thing is my beginner's guide to decluttering and I know that a lot of people struggle with decluttering, so definitely reference that PDF and printout. There's also a checklist on a whole house declutter if you want to use that as well and it'll help you with getting started with decluttering and how to make decisions and maybe some alternative ways of getting rid of things. I can't wait to see you tomorrow. And. And if you have questions, let me know in the Facebook group. See you later.
