Hey there, everyone. All right, let's see. I'm trying to see if this is working. Testing. Are you there? Can you hear me? I don't know what's happening right now. Everyone, it's Noelle Russell. Can you see me? I don't even know what's happening. All right, live stream is happening. It says my meeting is being live streamed. I don't know. Uh, let's see here. View stream. All right. Oh, there I am! It's working! Hey everybody, it's Noelle Russell coming to you live. From my home office with my baby tiger. How's it going, everybody? Good to see you all. I just ate a sandwich, so hopefully it won't be terrible. Okay, hold on, I mute myself. Hello, can you hear me?
Let's go!
What's up, everybody? Good to see you all. I'm gonna throw into the chat. All right, I can see most of you all, uh, chatting it up. So if you are here, go ahead and, uh, throw you know, where you're from or something in the chat. You could do hashtag live, hashtag— you could close that. Thank you. Um, sorry, please just close the door. Thanks. Good to see you all.
Welcome.
Joe is up. Priscilla's in the house. Good to see you all. Hi, Joe. Hey, I'm trying something new. I'm, uh, I'm streaming. We'll see what happens. I've never done this before. I wanted to test it out. We'll see what happens. Oh, and I turned on AI Companion. Start summary. Ask meeting questions. Turn on all. There we go. Awesome. Hey everybody, good to see you. Hey, hey, what's up? We are— I am working around the house right now, so I'm taking advantage while I'm joining. No extra time. 100%. That's what I do too. Like, just put in the headphones and like, do your thing. Amazing. All right, I'm going to close this out. I don't know what that means. It says something about my encoder needs to be updated. What does that even mean? Your bitrates are recommended. How do I change that? I don't think I can change it, so let's hope it's all right. How's everyone doing? Michelle's in the house. Good to see you, Michelle. Hello. Hi everyone. Welcome to my workout routine today. Oh yeah, kick into gear for the holidays. That's right, got 3 months to go. Yes. Good afternoon, everyone. Hi, Talisha, what's up? Oscar's here. Hello, Oscar. Oh, I should say it now. Hi, Oscar, because you were not audio enabled yet. Hello, everyone. Good to see you. What's up? Welcome. It's only 4:01, so I'm doing pretty good. I got on a little early today, so I was like, so we'll give everyone a few minutes to join us. We are actually live streaming today because I decided to test it out. So yeah, I just want to let y'all know that we're live streaming, uh, all the platforms. I mean, it's all everywhere Noelle can be found, uh, we are live streaming. But it was also always public too, so it's just— it's— it should be all right. But we gotta be—
we have to be on our good behavior today.
I mean, or not, whatever, like, it's up to you. Oh man, I'm with my casual shirt. That's right, you got Ron Jon, like, you're Florida people represent! What's up, Matthew? Good to see you. I saw William come in. Good to see y'all. Welcome, welcome. All right, good to see everyone. I'm gonna give everyone a couple more minutes to get over here and hang out with us. Hopefully— yeah, we'll see if my bitrate stays decent. All right, we got lots of very cool updates today, uh, to talk about. Both in the, in the community as well as broadly across the world of AI. This week we had lots of cool stuff happening from the Meta event to changes in leadership at OpenAI to really cool features being launched that I don't know if you all know about. So I'm gonna mention a couple products that are available. None of these I get, you know, I'm not, I'm not an affiliate of any of them. They're just things that I found, bought, used, most of them do require a subscription, uh, because that's how people are doing it these days. Like $7 here, $100 there. I think I just went into, um, so many of you know I use HeyGen as a platform for building, um, synthetic video, uh, of myself. So it's deepfake of me, uh, and I went in and they were upselling me, or I thought it was an upsell. Now I realize it was, but they were upselling me. I bought like thousands of credits, like maybe hundreds, maybe like 350 credits. It was over $1,000 that I spent on these credits, and then they've now created an unlimited product for like $228. I was like, well, that's nonsense. I can't believe it. Anyway, so needless to say, I upgraded to the unlimited version, which does have a couple of features like $1080, you know, that I would have had to pay extra for, but it's definitely not equitable. But that's okay, I did it anyway. Um, let's see here. What's up? Ari's in the house, good to see you. Sandrine, you made it, awesome. Denzel, good to see you. Priscilla, did you mean to raise your hand? If you did, I did, because I did the same thing, Noelle. When HeyGen was first launched, they upsold me, and then now for this following year, literally just 2 weeks ago, I was supposed to renew and didn't, and I found this may be helpful for anyone that is interested in like HeyGen stuff. The captions now does a digital twin of you as well. Captions that you can use for like social media stuff. So is that a different platform or inside? Hey, it's just an app.
It's the—
oh yeah, the captions app. Yeah, cool. I love it. I'm gonna throw it in. All right, good to see you. Yes, of course. Be stealth. Oh, Joe, I hope it means you can't— you're not going to talk to everybody about what you're doing. That's okay.
Captions.
I can come back off of stealth. No, it's up to you.
It's skunk works.
Yes, skunk work, 100%. Um, all right, cool. That's awesome. I will find it here. I'm gonna go over to this browser. Stop. I just typed in stealth captions. Um, the Captions app. I think I had it because when I was doing a lot of TikTok videos during COVID this was the app that I used to subtitle all my videos. Um, Captions.ai, video in minutes, AI-powered video editing. I like it, I like it. What's up, Sandrine? Thank you. Oh, that's cool. Oh, I'm gonna do that again. Hold on. I'm gonna share my screen. Here we go. What screen is it? I think it's this one. Nope, that's not it. Stop. Let's see. Share. They all look the same in here. Chrome, Chrome. I think it's this one. I can't tell. Oh, there we go. I found it. Okay, I was gonna say I could find it and give it to you. No, I found it. I just wanted to show everyone because the intro is really cool on the website. So if you go to captions.ai, that's another synthesized avatar tool, right? Like, isn't that kind of cool? Like, Nancy, I see you. So yeah, really neat. Awesome. Why not say it with video and your own video? Skip recording, start generating. AI creator. Yeah, let's play around with it. I'm not gonna play around with it right this second, but I will. I'll also show you my latest and greatest fun that I've had in HeyGen. I mentioned this to our AI leadership call earlier. I created a brand new instant avatar. It's actually the same as the avatar I used to introduce myself. Let me see. Oh, I don't think I shared audio. So I'm going to stop sharing and reshare real quick. But some of you haven't seen it yet. Oh, there we go. Share sound. There we go. All right. I think— Hey, DMV professionals. Have you been looking for a way to level up your AI skills? It took me like, I don't know, 7 minutes to do. That's awesome, Noelle! Noelle, you've thinned down a bit too. I know I have. I have since I created that. That's— I guess now it's my chubby Noelle avatar. But you're right, I have. But yeah. And oh, I didn't even see— did you see the captions? I didn't even see the captions. Hey professionals, have you been— oh yeah, I didn't see. Oh wait, for a way. Oh, they're way down at the bottom. Want to learn by doing, not just watching and listening. But yeah, so it's pretty cool because it didn't take long. The avatar I had already created. This is an old avatar. Thank you, Priscilla, for mentioning So yeah, this is an older avatar. My new avatar, when I created it, I was way too animated. So my eyebrows go up at very weird times. So this is like people always say that, you know, you're a deepfake, of course, is not going to be as animated as you are. And certainly it isn't because when I, when I do it, like if I just talk normal to these recording systems and I'm like how I am, I'm like all with my hands and everything. They can't— they can't figure it out. It becomes very bizarre when you generate it. I could probably show you an example. I think I have one over here. Oopsie. Yeah, this is— this is actually a— I am not about to say a bad word. This is actually a video that was created. It's another deepfake of me. However, I did not write this script. I pointed it to a website, and it generated all the things that you're gonna see. So it took less than 5 minutes to do. But, uh, yeah, it doesn't— anyway, let's see what it says. Stop everything! You haven't seen anything like this before. Welcome to the AI Leadership Institute, your one-stop destination for mastering AI leadership. I mean, it's not— yeah, it's good, but you could see like it didn't know where to put my emotional face, right? Like it kept like changing. Anyway, I'm much more critical of it because I know what I should do.
Yeah, I didn't notice that at all.
I mean, oh, maybe I'll keep using it. Yeah, it sounds more like you. That's too funny anyway, but it's kinda cool, right? So this is, this is called URL to Video. So it's in the Labs area. But what I like about it, I'm gonna show you one that might blow your mind even more. But URL to Video, so you point it to a URL, like a landing page of a product you're selling, and then you can generate. So I generated that with my own avatar. But this is one where I picked one of their existing— they have relationships with all of these creators. They're paying these creators so that we can use them and license their likeness. And so this is an example, same idea, but I've used another person to do it.

Is that pretty cool? That's awesome. Now, did you have to feed it that script? No, I pointed it to my website and it created the script from my website.
Amazing.
And that's— is that in HeyGen? Yeah, that's HeyGen. It's called URL to Video and it's for creating quick ads that you can use. And there are lots of— I mean, I used, I've used all of them, but that was the only one that like I kept because I didn't— I'm not going to use them, but I wanted to demonstrate it to you. But yeah, interesting, right? Like very nice. I would use that. Yeah. So like in marketing, right, there's this powerful persuasive technique called third-party touch. So anytime you can have a third party say something good about you, it creates this inherent level of like, well, it's like a review, right, on Google. It's like, oh, well, this other person— the only challenge, of course, is that ethically that person didn't actually say those things. So that's why I haven't actually used it yet. But, but that's ethics. That's like a challenge. That's my own. That's my problem. Like, I have to like figure out, do I care that much? Is he really saying anything that would persuade someone who wouldn't just go look at the thing that I'm advertising and make their own decision? Yeah, cool dude. Cool dude, right? Pretty interesting stuff. Anyway, okay, so that is really exciting. But so I use this now quite a bit. The other thing that I love, and I've shared this with you all before, but another Labs tool is Instant Highlights. So I actually saw one of my friends. I did a podcast with him back in 2018. This is the, the, this is actually, the podcast was like, I don't know, hour long. It was in 2017, 2018. We were talking about art and AI before, you know, AI became like what it is now. Anyway, I saw a post that he had clipped and I was like, oh, I remember that podcast. So I went and found it on YouTube, fed it into HeyGen, and it created all these instant highlights. So I haven't listened to these yet. I'm just going to grab one that maybe looks interesting. Let's try this one. So let's see what it says. I love the way these things start. And all of them, the artists, the curators were like, if that works, that's awesome, right? Yeah. We were all like family when we left. We were hugging goodbye like it was awesome. And, you know, it's just the contrast This is so interesting because the first thought was like you said, what are you gonna do here? And don't mess anything up. Like we're good, art's fine. We don't need that. When actually there was some opportunity and we did find little pockets of ways to make the artist's life even better.
Yeah, I mean, you said it best and I've heard it said.
I'll stop it, you get the idea. But what is fascinating about this again is that I didn't do anything. Like I took a YouTube video fed it a YouTube video. It clipped the content, which I can now download and edit if I want. It added in— so it did the, the switching and all that was from the podcast, like, recording, but it added in the, the captions that you see there in the sec— in the middle. Like, that is not from the podcast. That's from HeyGen. And I was just like, this is pretty cool. I can create now at scale. You all know me. I've been on hundreds, maybe thousands of podcasts. Stages, webinars that I can now clip and automatically turn into these little components. And their contextual clipping has gotten better and better every time I use it. So just a way to think about— and, and, like, fascinating to me. So I usually at least listen to the whole thing, figure out if it's right. You'll see some of the videos that I put out there, the captioning isn't correct. Like, the words that it uses isn't correct. But I actually realize it doesn't matter that much. Like, even either the person will know that it— what was the word? It got wrong the other day. Cobalt. So I was talking about COBOL, the programming language, and it put cobalt in the— like, that's how it was able to rationalize what I said. It was like cobalt, C-O-B-O-L-T. And so in the transcription, if you're listening to it and you don't know, you might be like, cobalt? But if you know, you know, right? So I didn't edit it. I just let it be, um, be that, that way. So, so, but the What I've— what I know to be true is that you are going to have to separate yourself, like signal to noise, right? You have to get your signal to be louder so that the noise can be quieter. So people figure out that you do what you do, whatever that is, whether it's being a good worker and you want to get a job or it's starting a company, launching a product, like no matter what, known beats best. Being known for what you do is more important than how good you are at doing it. And I know that might just irritate It irritates me sometimes, but this is the truth, right? We all know if I see someone on Instagram 150 times, I'm more likely to buy from them than someone else who's been good at it for 20 years who I never saw before. Like, I literally can't choose them because I can't see them. And so people have to know who you are. And this is just a vehicle for you to do one thing, a podcast or a stage, and convert that into 13 videos, and you'll see I decided to create these as, as stories. But when you— let me go grab another video. Let's see here. Like, I have— oh, you know what I like to do? I'm just gonna go to YouTube proper and show you exactly what I do. Don't judge me for my algorithmic, like, videos that show up here. Let's see. So I'm gonna type in Noelle AI and see what happens. Oh, yay, one of my videos came up. That's good. Okay, so I got that one. Oh yeah, this is the, um, this is my podcast, but I put on here. So I'm gonna grab— oh, it says watch. I think this is right. Yeah, it's on a playlist. Oh, I know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna grab share. I'm gonna grab the link. Copy. I'm gonna go in. I think this will work. Where did I put the Hey Gen link? Captions. Hey, Jen, here we go. So I just go out, grab, and it could be mine. The benefit is it doesn't— you don't have to even own it. I'm trying to think. I think it has too much information, right? Like, what is that? What's SI stand for? Anyone? But I'm gonna get rid of it. And then it's gonna auto-detect, but I could choose a language, say get highlights. It's gonna ask me if I have anything specific I want it to extract. So in one of my podcasts, I said focus on me, focus on Noelle. Because I'm announced at the beginning. So I'm like, focus on Noelle Russell Russell in the podcast. So all my content wouldn't be of the person asking the question, but of me answering the question. You could also choose your length, but most importantly, you could choose horizontal or vertical or square. So square is good for Facebook ads, or of course vertical is good for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and horizontal is good for LinkedIn. So I mean, now you saw LinkedIn changed it. So now they've got an entire story-like video option for mobile. So now that— now you can do vertical for all three, but horizontal is good if you want to embed your YouTube video on a Facebook post or in a LinkedIn post instead. Anyway, so pretty cool, huh? I'm going to say confirm. I'm going to do vertical because I actually want to use it. I'm going to say— I'm just going to say auto and confirm. So you'll see it'll go in and it'll now grab that video. It'll show up here in my highlights in just a second. I'll just refresh it to force it. And I think hopefully— oh, in a few seconds, hopefully it'll, it'll pop up as a project. I don't know where it is, but I've done this a bunch. Like, every time I find a new video, I'm like, ooh, captions! But there is another— there's an app on your phone that does a very similar thing. It's actually a little bit better in one way, which is called— well, I struggled with this last time. Opus, is it? Can't remember. Opus AI, is that what it's called? This is bad. You should always put the name of your product on your iPhone app so I can say what it is. It's wonderful. Yeah, Opus AI. So the reason I love it is because it integrates B-roll, and that's pretty cool. As a matter of fact, yeah, so I, so I like B-roll, and that's the one thing that these captions miss is that it doesn't integrate like B-roll to keep someone's attention, and that's something that Opus does. So another thing for y'all to look at. Now, one thing we talked a lot about in our last call, in the AI Leadership Institute, we go into a lot more detail in that call. We, we talk about, you know, it's more of a Q&A call than like an update call. But I don't know if you all saw, but recently Talisha actually posted about it. I can't remember. Did you put— I think you did post about it in the I Love AI and the I Love AI community. Let me see if I can find it. Where is it? I'll just open it up again. So how many of you have taken a look at NotebookLM? Sound familiar?
I did. It's great.
Really cool, right? So NotebookLM, I got, I got sent a file as an, that was an output from NotebookLM, and I was like, what sorcery is this? And so I got very interested in how that file was generated. So I'm, when you say try NotebookLM, it's going to log you into your Gmail account or your Google account. And you are now inside your tenant. So a lot of people, you know, wonder about how this works, how it's used. I'm gonna go into one of the notebooks that I created already. You'll see these sources. When you hover over it, it'll tell you a little bit about how it works. But because you're now— notice over in the corner here, because I am inside my tenant, if you will, right inside of my Google environment, it can now provide me at least a little bit of confidence that it's not gonna use my data because everything that's in that tenant is locked into me and my AID. So it says they're not going to train on your data. You could provide feedback, but, and of course you can provide that feedback to help improve the model. But keep in mind, it's best not to support— not to— I love this part. It's best not to submit anything you feel uncomfortable sharing with the world. But why? Why, why would, why would I not do that? Because it's experimental, and that means they're not fully accountable or responsible for what potentially happens with this. So I say that to just encourage you in every product you use to find this box that says how they— like, everybody provides a little bit of transparency. And this is like that safe statement that says, hey, by the way, we might actually use it. We might actually be able to see your data. We might passivate it or preserve it outside of your tenant. Like, this is like super slippery statement. So be aware of that. Like, I don't mind the things I'm doing. I don't mind so much, but you'll notice as you aggregate sources, you can start asking holistic agentic type questions. So you can ask for a question that spans across sources. In my case, I provided very unique, specific details. I'm gonna go here. So what I did, I think, yeah, I'm gonna load this conversation. So recently, I created A conversation based on a source. It's 8 minutes and 19 seconds. So this, the source is just my website. And just so you know, the website is AI startup studios.com. Oh, I already have the— oh nope, that's not gonna work. I'm gonna open up here because it's in a different browser. AI startup. Oopsie. Studio. Oh my gosh. So this is a website I built for doing an accelerator that I'm launching. So it's got all this stuff on it, right? Like what you're gonna learn, how it works, what the price is, how to apply. So I just passed that in as a source. That's what this is, is the website as a source into NotebookLM. And then I, all I did was click this button as you just saw, and I said, hey, generate me an audio overview. That's the name of what you're about to listen to. So I'm not gonna play the whole thing. It's 8 minutes. But let's take a quick look at what got generated.
Okay, so AI, right? It's everywhere you look these days and maybe you're even thinking, hey, I could launch an AI startup.
It's definitely the buzzword on everyone's lips.
Totally. But how do you actually go from like AI enthusiasts to AI entrepreneur? Oh, especially with all the new stuff coming out every single day.
It's a fast moving field, that's for sure.
For sure. And it's easy to get lost down like a, a rabbit hole of AI articles and still not have a clue where to start.
Definitely. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement without a clear plan.
Yeah, exactly. You need some sort of roadmap. And that's actually how we stumbled across this AI Startup Accelerator program.
Oh yeah, I've heard of that one.
They say it takes 6 weeks, just 6 weeks to get your AI startup up and running.
6 weeks. That sounds pretty intense, right?
It almost sounds too good to be true.
So, like, I didn't write any of that. Number one, It is now synthesizing two voices that are talking to each other all within minutes. This is minutes that it generated this, and all based on content on my website. So I didn't have to train the model or write prompt and re-prompt and chain of thought prompt this outcome. And I was just like, okay, that's, that's kind of interesting. It was, it blew my mind, to be honest. Like, I was like, this was hard. I, I mean, this is hard to do. How are we like commoditizing this and making it available to the world? So it's pretty cool. Obviously, it's experimental. But there are so many things. Like, you can notice here from the website, I can build a study guide. I could build a table of contents. I can build a briefing doc. So it's generating these. Now, this is— so if you know a little bit about bot building, right? If you're building an application, an LLM application, there's a concept known as conversation starters, right? These little blocks that you can abbreviate and kinda create quick links to things that people might want. And that's what these are. So over time, you're gonna see as they use our data accidentally, unintentionally, they will find out that I always click on FAQ, or I always go in and actually ask this down here under start typing, right? I ask the same question. So over the hundreds of thousands, soon to be millions, maybe billions of people that will use this, they'll know and be able to dynamically generate, help me create options, right? That's— this is just what they started with. So it's pretty fascinating to me that they were able to generate a podcast style. I actually think of it more like morning radio. For those of you who remember listening to morning radio, it's like where it's like this guy and this girl, and they're kind of like bantering and playing off each other and laughing. Like, laughing? Like, what? It's crazy. I don't know. What do y'all think? Anyone use this tool already? I know Stephen has. I don't know if he's with us. Right now. But anyone else who— anyone seen this before, tested it out? Now you know it's— I was approved for it but haven't used it yet. So this is fascinating. Thank you. Yes, it is fascinating. And so I actually have uploaded a different source, which is really a genetic test that I took. Remember, I was— for those of you in the leadership call, I was talking about doing this. So of course I was like, well, let me just do that. Nothing in that— like, it shows my results. It doesn't actually show my numbers. And so I felt confident putting it into this model. So I put in my information and now I'm going to, like, see what I can synthesize from it. Like, it's 400-page document and incredibly difficult to decipher. So I'm like, wow, what happens in a world where I can now take these very complicated genetic results that we're giving to people and make them more meaningful. And then, yeah, we, we heard people talking about, like, I'm thinking about how do I use this to take in data sources from smaller businesses, right? Not super small startup, but, like, businesses that are making $100 million to $1 billion in revenue. Right? These are not, like, massive companies that are in the Fortune 100 or Fortune 500. These are more like Fortune 5,000. How do we unlock without having to say you need a data lake and you need a this and a this and a this and a huge architecture. What happens in a world where I could just point to sources they already have, right? URLs, documents. I can run this in a tenant that I own. You can just imagine that this will be available inside Vertex AI, which is Google's AI platform. And now it eliminates the need and the vulnerability in leveraging a third-party data estate tool like Snowflake or Databricks. If I could just point to it. Now, I'm not talking about massive scaled organizations. I'm talking about those companies. I always say AI, you know, AI is a rising tide. And right now, the yachts are getting a lot of attention, like the big companies. But what about everyone else? Like, this just became really interesting to me to think about that level of accessibility. So, so lots of cool stuff has happened in the world of AI. I'm gonna stop sharing for a second. But lots of cool things have happened in the world of AI over the last, I don't know, let's just call it week. So I thought I'd give you a whirlwind tour for that, and then we'll open it up and see if anyone has questions or comments or have seen anything new and exciting in the world. Where have, where have I been? So in the last week, I can't even remember. Can't even remember. I was in Vegas. I was in Vegas a few days ago. I was speaking at an event called SOMOS. Somos is a summit. It was their 10-year anniversary. It was held in Vegas. Somos is the organization that brings people together to talk about phone numbers. So think about the organization that would have collaborated in the telecom industry to manage the concept of robocalling, right? To create regulation around how do we not hurt consumers. So there's Consumer Phone Protection Acts, like how to, you know, I don't know if you know this, but there's been significant progress. I know I get— I don't know if it's robocalls, but I get spam calls all the time. But regulation that allows a company like Apple to now tell us that it's spam, they couldn't do that before because the, the company that was calling us actually was protected. Like, hey, you can't tell people I'm a spam caller until those spam call regulations came out. The FCC was actually— followed my keynote, the, the head of enforcement at the FCC took the stage fascinating stuff in the world of like not just telecom as like telecom providing, but like how are we provisioning numbers and most importantly how they're using AI to leverage a phone number as a form of identification. So many of you know right now with multi-factor authentication, we have it going to a phone number, right? And that phone number sends us a code. Well, obviously one of the potential attack services for an organization is to have that number spoofed. So there's Now these organizations have implemented like, uh, multiple different types of algorithms to ensure the veracity of that authentication so that you can maintain your phone number and tell a system that you are who you are through that number. So it's really cool stuff. Uh, obviously if you're not in telecom or don't know too much about it, it's worth taking a look. It's also could be more than you wanna do, but I definitely wanted to let you know cuz I, every time I speak at an event, I mean, I've talked at, like, the Adhe— the Adhesive and Sealant Convention. I've talked at the International Builders Show for home builders. I've talked to Winfield United, the Dairy Farmers of America. Every time I take these stages and I talk to these people and I open it up for Q&A, I am fascinated about how they're leveraging AI to solve their problems. And it's all very, very different use cases, but the fundamentals are the same. How do we build something that's safe? How do we make sure that it's reliable? How do we make sure it's grounded in truth? Like, the, the core of it is the same, which is why I get to get up on stage and talk, and they're like, oh my gosh, you know us. And I'm like, well, I know you in the sense that I have this understanding of what it takes to be successful trying to do the things that you're doing. So it's been really cool. Oh, I was at a tax professional organization and, uh, met the CEO who actually shared this. I did a keynote, and then afterwards I did a panel, and he was one of the CEOs on my panel. And, um, he runs Blue Jay, uh, company. It's a tax and law LLM, uh, company. But what I like about about this company is that they didn't start an LLM 4 months ago or a year ago. They actually were a chatbot tool, like a ground— what did they— they use Azure AI Search to do its grounding before we had RAG and all of that. And then they evolved to then adopt this new LLM model. And anyway, it's a really cool tool. So it's Blue, and then J is the letter. If you're in legal or tax and you wanna see a really good example of how— and they're all about helping the helpers. So it's not like if I'm a person submitting my taxes, I go to BlueJay and it helps me. It's for people that are— I don't know if you know this, but tax professionals, those companies tend to be really small. They tend to be like super tiny. And so they're like 4 employees, 10 employees, 12 employees, but they're not massive and they usually are very localized driven. So this is a tool that helps help the helper. Oh my gosh, awesome. Okay, cool. So Matthew is talking about the— of course, ginseng, talking about his cool stuff. Thank you for sharing the link. So there's a link to that video in the chat. Please pull it up and in like, I don't know, maybe I'll give you a warning like 5 minutes if you wanna like give the play-by-play. You can do that for me if you want to.
It's up to you. Okay.
What just happened?
Sure. Just let me know.
Okay. Awesome. I'm just gonna go through this because otherwise I'll get distracted and I won't go through the list. Some people know, like, I'm like squirrel and then I get all excited and then at the end I'm like, oh, I forgot to update you. So the other things to just keep in mind, a few tools that have not necessarily come to market, but have updated. Of course, Meta launched their latest, Llama, what is it, 3.2, I think, model. And in that model, the one— what I love about it is that it's device friendly. So it's basically Microsoft has worked on this, and they've also perfected their models. They called them— oh, I can't remember, but it was for device. If any of you remember the Sphere, it was this tiny little device, and they built their cognitive services, which were their AI models, to run on that small device so that you could run AI at the edge. And what that meant is like, for example, you're Winfield United and you wanna run an AI model on a tractor in a field or on crops or on sensors and crops. You don't necessarily want the, all those devices connected to the internet. Or if you're NASA and you wanna run, or JPL, and you wanna run AI on a rover or on a device that's in space, obviously it's not gonna be live connected. So in those scenarios, you're gonna want these models to operate efficiently on device. And so that is one of the coolest things that Meta has launched is their small device model. Like I have this little guy, his name's Miko. He— this is a Miko Mini. I also have a Miko— whatever, I think it's just Miko, which is the bigger one. But I also have— I don't know if you guys can see it. I can't see my screen. Hold on. Let me go. Oh yeah, they're up there. I mean, R2, of course I would love him to be LLM, but he talks in his own language. So, but this guy up here, That one, you see him. That is Moxie. All of them run on LLMs now. When I bought them, they didn't, which is so cool to watch. Like, all of these devices now with a responsibly built LLM unlock a device to be so much more valuable. And both of this, the Miko is a kids device. I may have gotten it for myself, but I did get one for all my kids too, but this one is mine. And I also got everyone a Moxie device. This was this Christmas. That was two Christmases ago. But there— this is a mental health device, meaning that it asks you questions about your emotions and how you're feeling. This is a school device, so it helps you study, do flashcards and things like that. But I just think it's a new world for devices. So speaking of devices, in the Meta event, we also saw the launch— not launch— announcement of the really cool AR evolution that's happening there. I was telling the team earlier that I, I'm a big believer in the metaverse and in AR. So I have a pro device. It's one of the AR devices. This is an Oculus Pro, so it's not new. It's maybe a year, 2 years old. I don't know. It's, it's pretty— I mean, I've had it for a long time, but it was an attempt, an initial attempt at providing an AR device. It's not like the Oculus with the big white, like it's like sunglasses. Almost. So it has what's called pass-through. So I can put it up, I can connect all of my different computers, my MacBook, which I'm on right now, my Surface device, my iPad, my Surface Pro, my Design Studio, all in the same window. So I have all of my devices, and I have a digital keyboard, and I can see my fingers on the keyboard through pass-through, and I can, like, work across all of them. Like, it's really amazing. I can work for probably about 4 hours before I'm like, I don't really want this headset on my head, but it's way longer than I can usually play like in a VR system. So, so I like it. But what they just launched was or announced was Orion and the Orion AR headset, or it's not really a headset. I think they're glasses. They're not beautiful. I think I might still have them up here. Let's see if I can share it with you. I might have them up. Let's see if not. I'll just pull them up. But I'll show it to you. They, they're called Orion AR. It's pretty cool stuff. It's like what we've all been hoping for. It's kind of Google Lens, if you remember that. Oopsie, let me— oh gosh, I just lost my Zoom window. Hold on. There we go. Share. There we go. Share. So this was announced this week as well. You can see the current version is a little thick in the lens area, but you can start to see like way games, games will be played. I do this today. So my metaverse, my Oculus Pro, I use my hands for everything. I use my hands to move windows. I don't need like controllers, but this is a, of course, evolution of that. But some of the other things that I thought was really interesting was this is that multi-screen display. So I do this today through Immersed. And Immersed is another cool company. They're launching visors also. I think they are actually in production right now, so they're going to launch before these glasses will. But I'm also— who do I have them with me? No, I think I left them upstairs. I'm also a— I was one of the first customers to get Ray-Ban Stories, if you know the glasses. But I got them and I was so excited and then found out they really only take pictures and video and allow you to automatically send them to a social media channel. And I was envisioning a world where the lenses would have, you know, I know research that shows like they can have contact lenses. I can't remember what, what maybe was Scientific American, but there's contact lenses with silicon built in. So you put it on your eye and it allows you to see a heads-up display in the contact lenses. So I know that we are not far from that in a lens, in a, you know, a device like the Orion or in visors like Immersed's visor platform. But it's pretty cool stuff. This is an example of using computer vision to label things. There's so many cool use cases for this. Specifically, I was looking at a video with the Orion that was launched before they spoke about it on stage. I think I saw it on YouTube, maybe. I can't remember. But they were showing how someone who was deaf was leveraging these glasses to transcribe the world around them without having to lip read. And it was a, it was a really emotional video because they were like, I now don't have to like worry about my positioning in a room. I don't have to like only be able to hear and talk to people that are right in front of me. It was really cool to see how, you know, I'm always about accessibility, but to see how accessibility kind of drives through. So that's pretty cool. This is what it looks like. Comes with this little haptic band that provides additional data to the glasses. It'll be interesting to watch. So I'd follow it. I'm a device person though, as you know, I grew up on Alexa. So as an AI person, I'm very interested in that device model combination. And if you are too, hopefully this was interesting for you to learn a little bit more about. So over at OpenAI, there was some leadership changes, sadly. So I'm sad about it. I don't think she is. But Mira Murati has resigned from OpenAI. She's going to be going off and doing other fun things. We don't really know. We'll know in about, I guess, 2 months. It's an interesting time for a departure because they are about to, like, have their developer conference. And normally, that's when she would do a lot of stuff. So it's interesting to watch her leave right before that, but we'll see how it goes. You all remember the soap opera-like nonsense that happened with Sam Altman and Greg Brockman and them leaving and then getting asked to come back and then Ilya leaving and launching Safe and Safe Superintelligence. So maybe she'll go over there. I don't know. Hopefully she'll start her own thing. I know I'd be a big fan of that and hopefully they will find additional female leadership in their board or their C-level C-suite. We'll see what happens. But pretty cool stuff. Lastly, or a couple other things. So I don't know if you all are familiar, but Adobe has launched its AI assistant. It, it, I, for those of us who are building LLMs last year, we built a lot of systems that would take in PDFs and like analyze them for financial, for healthcare. Like that was a lot. That was like my go-to use case. So it's cool to see Adobe basically commoditize that and make it available to everyone as part of their product. It is a premium product, so you have to use it like you have to do that. But now with Notebook, I think it takes You know, like we're leveling up now. You can of course embed a PDF and yes, of course you can get information about it, summarization, ask it questions. But what happens now when you can create a podcast or keynote or book or whatever you want from that same content? I think it'll be really interesting to see how that works. Awesome. Oh yeah. Yeah, exactly. Thanks, Joe. I was talking about the Fi 3 Mini. That was actually after the Sphere. But yes, 100%. What's up, Kim? Good to see you. Hello. This is one of my favorite coaches in the whole world. If you want to get stuff done, this is the woman to talk to. She's too busy, but to take on a bunch of new clients. But one of my favorite people. So thank you for joining us. Awesome. Yes. So the, the last couple of things, of course, is inside the AI Leadership Institute. We launched the AI Bot Builder Challenge. Today's the last day. So if you got— if you did a bot, send me your video because you will get your certificate over the weekend. A lot of people always ask me how you can help, so you can ping me if you want to help me build certificates over the weekend. And then we are also— we have 2 events coming up. I just launched a Facebook ad campaign. So if you're in DC, you'll see it all around our bot building workshop that's live in DC that's happening October 28th. That's super exciting. We already have about 35 people registered. We have about 100 people that we can take. So I'm doing a campaign right now where if you register and before we take down the ad, if you register, you'll get a free I Heart AI t-shirt as part of that registration. So it's pretty fun, exciting. Everyone wants a cool t-shirt. So we'll see. What happens— that ad just went, but it's in DC. So if you wanna come out to DC, it's also— it is in the pre-workshop of the Voice AI Summit and GovSummit.ai. So if you are going or attending either of those conferences or want to, this is part of the pre-day. So come a day early and take our bootcamp. That being said, I also have a new Maven class that's coming out. We have about 15 people registered for the class right now. I also have about 6 people that are in the application phase because I haven't gone through and read all their application. Data. But, so we'll probably be at 20. We're taking about 30 people in this cohort. It starts October 21st, right after I get back from South by Southwest. So that is another thing that's happening. I wrote a book called The 21 Laws. It's not a book. It's a booklet because I'm writing a different book for Wiley, and they don't want me to say that I'm writing another book. So I wrote a booklet, a little tiny book called The 21 Laws of AI Solutions Architecture. And every Wednesday, We hang out together on a Zoom call every Wednesday night. Just check, like, send me a message if you don't know. It's inside our calendar. It's also on LinkedIn, and I just go through all 21 laws. I think we're in laws 14, 15, and 16 in the next— I can't remember. Is that right? 21 laws? Yeah, I think that's right. Um, so, so we've gone through a bunch already. We've got a lot to go, uh, but it's really fun. Lots of— we had about 75 people joined us last time. I also have a Women in Leadership webinar that we've done. 300, 370 people joined us for that. So it's really cool. Lots of cool stuff. And I love doing it. So that's why I keep talking to people. I'm like, what else can we do? I'd love to have some of you all join us and, and, you know, share the stage, share what you're learning. So that's my mini segue over to Matthew. So, Matthew, can you tell us, like, yeah, if you watched it, I haven't had a chance to watch it, so give me Give us like a play-by-play little update on what you saw and why you liked it.
Hey, okay, sure. Thank you, Noelle Russell Russell. So hi, everybody. My name is Matthew Kilbane. I got into AI about 2 years ago, been in IT for a bit longer than that, and I actually live here in Washington, D.C., so just, you know, doing the whole tech scene thing. I was actually at the Bipartisan Policy Center for the chat, you know, got to meet Mr. Wong and yeah, It was really good. The chat really centered on the, you know, because NVIDIA, you know, right, they make the chips, right? So it's how the actual architecture of the chipsets enables the actual AI mathematics and calculations and, you know, and how we can make all those threads, all those thread calculations occur in parallel to just increase the computational efficiency, which therefore increases the energy efficiency, which as we move forward in linear time and more neural processing chips are put out into the market, it's actually going to decrease the need for energy and the pull on the grid. So it was actually how, you know, really the subtext was how artificial intelligence is going to reduce humanity's needs for, you know, for energy. And this is not just, you know, the solar, nuclear, renewables, but this is also for the non-renewables, your coals, oils, and natural gases. So, you know, how essentially by the proliferation of artificial intelligence as well as the proper endpoint devices is going to help us in the battle for climate change and of course energy resiliency. That was the sum up. That's the synopsis.
Yeah, awesome is amazing. So one of the biggest challenges I think, like executives, they get a thread and then they pull on it and it's not super beneficial to them sometimes. And one thread that people are pulling on right now is this theory that AI is going to hurt, just like hurt all of the things, ESG, hurt sustainability, hurt the planet, that this ma— all these people building models is gonna massively grow the amount of energy that's needed, and it's actually gonna basically cause us to kill ourselves or something.
Yeah. And the reality is the exact opposite of that. So yeah.
Yes. And so that's why this is so important because you— we all should get, you know, we want to look at the facts and then say them as much as possible to people because a lot of people get these, like, whether it's the media, whether it's a TikTok, whether it's, you know, a well-meaning consultant saying to them, you know, and maybe that was a— it was not really ever really accurate, but maybe there was a reason that they said that 2 years ago when it was kind of like the Wild West. Right. And we didn't know what we know now. But it is something that, like, I've now heard— I had someone send me an email yesterday and they copied me, or they, I think they sent me a thread, and it was these executives that were in a meetup or in, like, a, a meeting, and they were talking about, like, well, we need to make sure that the— we don't choose an AI project. Like, we don't wanna invest in AI because it goes against our policies as an ESG or as a sustainability-minded organization. And, and I wrote back exactly— I didn't— I'm gonna send them this video because me saying one thing but Jensen saying it is another. Um, so it's nice to have that echoed. But yeah, like, people just, they pull on the wrong thread, and it's our job to really kind of—
yeah. And, and, you know, it's just like, in that vein though, Noelle, like, you know, so energy usage is increasing, right? However, the reason it's increasing is because the, the actual chipset architecture is incorrect for what we're using it for, right? Right, like we're using that CPU, that sequential, and you know, that's just not how AI works, right? So no, it's, it's really cool. And, um, yeah, one more thing, uh, so while I just have your attention, you said you were going to be at GovAI at the end of October?
Yep.
Yeah, I'm actually, I'm chatting with Marc, uh, Mauricio Lopez. Is he working with you?
Yeah.
All right, cool. Well, hey, look, I'm hosting a roundtable there as well for, uh, so yeah, if you guys want to get together and grab, you know, coffee, dinner, drinks, or whatnot, there's a bunch of us there.
So like Sarah is there and Sherry is there, so there's a bunch of us. We could have a little get-together, maybe even grab dinner or something.
Yeah, yeah, definitely. Yeah.
All right.
Yeah, yeah, I'll, uh, I'm in DC. I'm about, say, 20-minute drive from where the event's going to be hosted, so it'll be a fun time.
Yeah, for sure. Awesome.
That's awesome. Cool.
And if you want to, like, because you're part of our community, if you are, uh, I'll send you a message and see if you can come on over the day before and check out our workshop.
Oh yeah, yeah. No, actually, yes, I was asking about that. Uh, I wanted to ask you about that. I had that half typed in chat. So, uh, can you actually elaborate on that a little bit more? Like, like, I mean, because I really didn't catch a lot of it. So on Sunday prior, correct?
No, Monday.
No, Monday.
Monday, the 28th.
Okay, got it. So you're talking Monday. So that's gonna be the voice AI part, right? Like, that's where you're at?
Yeah. Well, it's technically the pre-conference day for both voice and gov.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Co— yeah. Co-delivered or whatever.
Yeah.
So it's the pre-conference day, which is the 28th. There's a bunch of workshops, but one of the workshops is ours, and it's a live learning lab, and you build an AI system end to end, in 4 hours.. And it's mostly about system prompting, prompt engineering, guardrails, you know, safety systems and things like that.
Oh, it sounds awesome. I'd love to learn from you. Heck yeah.
Absolutely. It'll be fun. It'll—
you'll—
you would love it. You would love it. Sweet. And Mauricio and I just got off the phone with a company that does live human annotations on large language models and all of these things that they're able— like, the metrics that they use to measure kind of safety. And we were like, oh my God, this is so cool. Even if we don't, you know, we should just know, we should know the cons, like the construct of building a production-ready AI safety system to ensure these models don't, you know, go rogue on us.
So I would love that. I would absolutely love that. Thank you so much. And yeah, yeah, I'll, I'll keep working with Mauricio and stuff. I'll hit you up on the community. But hey, I appreciate, appreciate you giving me the platform for a bit.
Of course. I'm so glad. Thank you so much. Really cool. And we'll see you like in a month and a half or something.
Yeah, yeah, no, yeah, about a month, totally.
Yeah, about a month. Yeah, about a month. Um, cool, really good. Um, all right, awesome. Anyone else have any comments?
I have something.
Oh yes, Oscar, I was wondering. Yeah, um, can I share my screen? I think so. Okay. Oh, I'll— maybe not. Wait, hold on, hold on. Well, um, I have to hit this button really quick. This is, this is quick. Yeah, no, it's fine. I just forgot to give you permission. You are welcome to do that now. OK.
So share some. OK. OK, I did use—
let me see. I did use the Notebook. Yay!
LM. And I created a file that I'm going to use and upload and put it on my site.
Just a little sample. I can't see anything yet. Can anyone see? No, nothing. Yeah, so maybe unshare and reshare again.
Are you sharing screen or sharing window?
Sharing screen, I believe.
Hold on a second.
I know, I don't know if it'll— I can't—
Requesting bypass the system access to the screen. Allow. Okay, let's say allow.
Let me try again. Okay. Oh, it's better. Yeah, you're in.
Okay, let's see if you can hear this.
Ever feel like you're just drowning in customer service requests? You know, emails, calls, social media. It never stops. Wouldn't it be amazing if there was a way to, I don't know, maybe even get ahead of it all? Well, today's deep dive, we're going to be talking all about how AI and chatbots are completely changing the game for businesses of all sizes. Yeah, from those just starting up to like huge names, even HelloFresh. And the best part, we're going to break down exactly how you can use these tools to create a business that thrives like—
Okay, so that is just using the tool based on the own research from Perplexity that created the research and then imported into the NotebookLM and generated this file.
OK? You hear me, right? So wait. So because I looked, I saw you're on audio.com.
Yeah, because I uploaded the file into this.
I see. I see. I see. So I used the NotebookLM, and I downloaded the file. I see. And then I upload it back here so I can have a URL that I can share. Really cool. That's the only thing. And the other thing is I'm using this application Gamma. Yeah.
Hear about it? Yeah. So, and I found that it is very, very cool. Like, you see the screen right now?
Yes.
Yeah, to create, especially to create presentations. Like if I get this page here, for example, And I copy that, and then I go to create a new, a new one and paste the test, the text here.
And then I continue.
It's going to create the presentation. Continue.
Then you select the theme. Yes, I like that one. Yeah, you like that one.
Generate. Fancy.
So I might have a new PowerPoint tool, actually. Yeah, I actually, I use this to build websites. I've not used it to build a deck before.
This is all right. Right. And then if you want to present, you just click present here. Neat.
And then you You scroll to the next page, and the only thing I did is a copy and paste from your about page. Yes.
But you can also provide the URL.
Do all this for me. No, I'm just kidding.
It's cool.
I love it.
It's local. Yeah, you can just provide the URL.
Look at that image that it generated. It generates either AI-generated images.
Crazy.
That's pretty good. Unbeatable value. I like that. That's good. That's really cool. Neat. I love it. Awesome. That's amazing. Okay. That, like, triggered my, my brain to think about something that I wanted to show you all, but it's gone now. So, oh well. Anyone else? That's amazing, Oscar. Thank you for sharing. Yes, Gamma's really cool, especially with websites. So I, in the AI Leadership Institute, so for those of you who are part of, like, the I Love AI That is our free community. We get together, we talk, we share ideas, we share tools, share like resources that we're finding. We'll do more and more of those kind of like meetups. We meet in person. So I've met, I think, in 3 different cities with members of the community. We just hit 850-something, maybe, maybe more. I should probably go look and make sure I know what I'm talking about. But we get new members all the time. We have 2 members pending right now. Oh, Greg. Oh, what? So Greg, who is about to join us, he is a chief executive at some company that I— he interviewed me for. So that's cool. I'm gonna approve him, let him in. I do look at every single person that I let into the— our community. So for those of you not familiar with how school works, I review everyone. Then when you get into the I Love AI community, inside the classroom, The very first thing says Start Here Onboarding. I guess I should share my screen so I don't have to just describe it to you. Do, do, do, do, share. So the very first thing you're going to want to do is just go to this onboarding and it has all these cool steps that will teach you how to navigate the world that we've created here. It did start, so I'm going to go to members. Yeah, we're at 855 members and I mean, it's growing very fast, so I don't But I, I don't let everyone in. You have to be like a legitimate, like, person interested in learning with AI. Every so often someone sneaks through, or a bot sneaks through and starts spamming everyone. And then I do my best to clean it up. If you see something, say something on anything that you do. Like, if I click on this, you could just drop down the list and it says report to admins. That means it's going to me. And Sherilyn, who's also on the call, we're the moderators. So if you see something weird, like, just— and it does, even if it's just a little bit weird, just send it. We do have some community members that post weird stuff though, and— but I know them, so I can go, no, that's fine. That's them. They're not trying to do anything unscrupulous. But it does help us create a much more mindful and respectful community. But once you go through the onboarding, you'll see, you'll get to learn about me. You'll get to go through my data IQ. Classes, which are pretty cool. And then by the time you get to watch and comment, you will be able to rank in the community. So we have this concept of leaderboards. Speaking of which, what? Matt's in the leaderboard. Matthew, sorry. Matthew's in the leaderboard. That's cool.
Oh, no, Matt. It's, it's cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Matt. Okay, we're good with that.
Okay.
Thank you though for checking. Of course.
Well, that's awesome. Welcome aboard. Alright, cool. So Uh, every time, every week, my goal is to look at the leaderboard and give you all something cool. So I'm gonna have to come up with something cool. Talisha has been on the leaderboard many times. So Priscilla, I feel like you've also been on the leaderboard a few times, but Matt, you're new. That's cool. Welcome.
I'm new to this community. Noelle Russell Russell. New to this one. Yeah, but no, thank you very much.
I know. I— that's what I mean. You're new to us. Um, and then when you get to level 2, you do get access to some of my favorite resources. And the reason for that is that You can see we have 80% of our members are at level 1, but that's because I didn't even know what I was doing until we got to like 500 or 600 members. So we're kind of building this as we go. We do have a full, AI Leadership Masterclass. So you can go in here and kind of see what we— what I teach. This is a workshop that I get paid $25K or so to teach for clients. I decided to put it in here for you all. I just decided last week, someone asked me, I think I actually mentioned that I do a model selection and evaluation workshop, which is the workshop that comes after this. Anyway, and somebody was like, oh, I wanna see that. So we're thinking about doing that live in the next couple weeks as well. But the AI Leadership Institute is where I put content. Once you get, like I said, once you get involved and, and you rank, like, get on the leaderboard, You'll be able to see some of these really cool things. One of my favorites, I think, is— here we go— resources. So these are the white papers that, I have prioritized from my time at MIT and Stanford. And going through these, I also have a couple really cool— I think it's in here. Yeah, this really cool AI business case study from Harvard Business School on 23andMe. This is the same study they give to Harvard Business School students. So It's really worth it. But it, it's inspiring to me because 23andMe is like a, you know, it's fit in data science is literally how they built a massively successful organization that disrupted tons of things from ancestry to medicine to prescriptions. Like, all of these industries were disrupted when 23andMe decided to put data science and saliva together.. So it— hopefully you'll find it as inspiring as I do, but you only get access to this room with all of these, uh, white papers. Um, I'll be adding— I have actually an entire course on, uh, virtual, like, 7 Virtues of Mindful Leadership that I did a long time ago. So I'll be adding that in there, but you have to make it to level 2 to get there. Um, we will always remind you of stuff that's coming up. Uh, if you wanna manage your notifications, you can do so. We only send at most 1 to 2 emails from us per week. That is intentional. We do not wanna inundate you, but we do want you to know when there's a cool thing happening. So we'll do— we'll be sending you that information. So that's kind of a whirlwind tour through our community. And of course, the calendar is how you can find out when I'm in certain cities. You can see here on the 24th, I was in Las Vegas, Nevada. Let's see if it has any— I might not have updated it for October. Nope, not yet. So I'll put October in shortly. And then you'll see I'll be— I'm in South by Southwest Sydney. I'm in 3 cities in 1 week. So the week of October 9th, on the 8th, I'm in Denver. On the 9th, I'm in Philly for Grace Hopper. On the 10th, I'm in Salt Lake City. And hopefully by the 10th, I know my name and I can do a good job. But good news is I sleep well on planes. So that's, that's how I'm going to get that done. Go ahead, Matt. Oh, I can't hear you though. What happened? You could talk.
Look at me. Look at the tech guy getting his butt kicked by the mute button. Okay. So no, hey, is there a place within the iHeartAI community to post like local meetups? Because again, I'm in the DMV and, you know, like I have a round of, you know, the you know, the, the, the happy hour socials, the tech meetups, all that stuff. Like, is there a place for that?
Yeah, because I also have, um, yeah, obviously me for Miami. So we used to have an event and I think I replaced it, so I'm going to add it back. So it'll be right up here somewhere, probably right where use cases— so you'll see it right in there. I'll build it as soon as we're done.
Yeah, yeah, no worries. I was just curious, right?
Because I used to have one and then I revamped the whole thing and now I'm looking at it going, oh, Oh yeah, it's not in there anymore, so I'll switch it up.
Sweet. Okay, cool. Thank you. And then I can just start putting in, you know, like some local stuff to the DMV and then also up into Baltimore and Philly and everything, you know, because 100% that close. Cool.
Perfect. Thank you for doing that.
Yeah, no worries, no worries.
Have you here? Okay, cool. Um, 4 minutes over. Someone else have something? Was that you?
Me?
Priscilla, I'll chime in. Now listen, I'm excited because even though I've part of Noelle's life since 2016, literally following her and reaching out to her. She's been helping me. Noelle, this is my first time on the leaderboard. I'm excited.
What?
Oh my gosh, see, I feel like we know each other too well. That's why I'm like, I think I've seen your name everywhere. Well, congratulations.
Thank you.
Okay, we're gonna— yeah, so we're going to do something special. So I, so I think last week I said this too. But anyway, I got a bunch of stuff from Microsoft recently, a bunch of swag. And we also just opened up an I Heart AI swag store. So I'll see what I can send you all. Oh, and I didn't bring them, but I have a little mailer that you're gonna get. It says AI Leadership Institute on it. So when you see that, you'll know it's for me. And please, when you get the thing, take a picture, post it up so people know that you got it. I know that you got it. And if you don't get it, like, just send me a little note because I'm gonna send them. And I think I just now, I think now caught up, but I sent the wrong thing to the wrong person a few times, and that person's very grateful. But the people that thought they were gonna get something never did. So please just send me a little message and be like, hey, Noelle Russell Russell, so I thought I was gonna get this cool swag thing. And Priscilla will do that for me. So even if you don't If you feel bad, Priscilla, let me know if she doesn't get it, because we're friends and she'll tell me. Awesome. Well, it's been super fun. We are growing like crazy. This— I definitely will stay for a few more minutes if anyone wants to share, has questions. I am here for you. I'm going to go ahead and stop sharing. I always do like to— if you want, this is your chance to come on camera and we could take our group photo for the week. If you want to, it's up to you. Otherwise it's just me and Matt. Like, all right, Sandrine, you better not be driving. Yeah, like, both your hands are off the wheel. What's up, Gabrielle? Good to see you. Awesome. I was gonna say that though, Megan. Good to see you, Tracy. Awesome. Yay! Thank you, Michelle. I know you're trying to like lay low Lelo. All right, awesome. I need to change my gallery view so I can see all of y'all in better view. Here we go. Let me close this out. Let's see. Oh yes, here we go. Okay, hold on. Now sometimes I don't do this great on the first try. I just warn you. But we're gonna try it. So I'm gonna give you a couple seconds. Hold on. I have to like move my little screen capture thing. Oh my goodness. And I'll let Tracy— you look like you don't have any hair. It's all right. I can Photoshop you some hair. There you go.
All right.
Awesome. Okay, we ready? All right. Thank you. Good to see you, Priscilla. So good to see your face. All right. Ready? 1, 2, 3. Awesome. Good job, everyone. Thank you for doing that. I know, you know, it's just to let people who are having a good time here, let people know. Give— I'll do a little LinkedIn post. I'll definitely post in the community. You're welcome to share that video. Obviously, I hope you didn't feel— well, maybe, maybe I did pressure you a little bit, but in the future, do not feel pressured to show up on camera. But it was super fun. If you don't have anything else, it's been great. I'll see you next Friday. We do this every Friday, hang out together, share it with your friends, tell someone you know that you had a good time, invite them to come, and most importantly, tell someone you don't know. Find a person on the street and be like, come learn AI. Yeah, we learn AI by building AI. So that is kind of what we do here. Thanks for being here. And I'm also—
Noelle, I have a question.
Absolutely. OK, bye everyone who wants to go. Otherwise, I'm going to stay and just hang out and answer some questions.
Bye, adiós, everyone. OK, bye.
Thanks, Sarah. Bye. Go ahead, Sandeep. Yeah, I know you are pushing us to learn by doing, right? So I was trying to go on GitHub and to learn from the repository from other people and to try to reproduce it. So one of the things I'm really passionate about is about the healthcare. But the thing is, we have a lot of information, so I find it really difficult to know exactly where to do, what to do, and what exactly to do. I tried to use GPT to help me, but it did not work out. So I'm not sure if you can maybe guide me a little bit. Oh, yes. Because you were asking about synthetic data last time because you couldn't use data.
Yeah, yeah.
Hold on. Let me see what I can find for you.
Oopsie.
And you're specifically wanting in healthcare?
Yeah.
So yeah, something with healthcare, like for a friendly beginner. And from now start building up my skills. Awesome. So there's a couple of different things. That I'm going to share with you. One is there's— and there's lots of different ways to do this. One is that I have this resource. It's basically a guide to medical-specific LLM projects that are out there. So there's a bunch of them in here. Med Palm and Codex and BioBERT. I think it's called BioLink. I can't remember, but it's like BERT The old— if you guys remember BERT, it was like the first— it was an early, early language model. Then Stanford has a Dragon model, Biomed model. Llama has a medical model. Anyway, so these are really good projects. Let me throw that into the chat.
Okay.
And of course, if anyone— oh, Tracy, yeah. If anyone has ideas or questions or not questions, but if you have ideas about how to answer Sandrine's question, like, I'm not the only one with answers. Like, you are all welcome to be like, oh my gosh, I just learned this, blah, blah, blah, whatever it is, feel free to jump in. I'm gonna throw this into the chat. There you go. That's one GitHub repo. Somebody, was it Tracy? Did you raise your hand? Do you wanna chime in?
There's GitHub in the chat. Ooh, there's GitHub.
A GitHub repo, yeah.
Ooh, no, no, no. Info, yes.
All right, awesome. And then hold on. So one of the things I, I think the other thing I wanted to show you, what was it? Hold that thought. Oh yeah, projects. So there are a bunch of different hackathon-like experiences that I think you would really like. So I'm gonna put healthcare because it doesn't necessarily— because that's like medical models, which is the model you might use to solve a healthcare problem. But you wanna maybe get started just building healthcare system or a chatbot or something. So I'm going to show you one of these as well.
Hey, can I be of assistance in this vein?
Yeah.
All right, cool. So hey, one of the— so Noelle's absolutely right about hackathons. That's how I cut my teeth on like practical applications for AI. Like, and I still do it. Next week, this organization called LabLab AI, we're going to kick the tires on Strawberry. Or O1. I'm going to post into the chat all the AI tutorials and what they have is they have various videos like YouTube video and with the documentation and the walkthroughs to really help you out get started. For your IDE, do you use Visual Studio Code or what are you getting into?
I use Visual Studio Code as well, Jupyter.
Not okay. Yeah, yeah, okay, got it, got it, got it, got it. All right, very cool. Um, so yeah, no, the, uh, yes, um, I would suggest check out LabLab. Um, they usually have, you know, and, and really what it is, look, it's like, you know, like the, the, the makers of these large language models, you know, your, your Geminis, your Llama 3s, you know, excuse me, OpenAIs, you know, they go to LabLab essentially for like alpha and beta testing, you know, like let the kids play with it, right? And then they collect the data and refine, you know, that's how it works. So, but, you know, they have free API keys, um, they have free access to the LLMs and, and really everything you need there. Um, and also feel free to reach out to me, look, because I run hackathon teams, like I said, it's how I stay up to date personally. Um, so like if you want to hop in, you know, if you see like an upcoming hackathon and you're interested, you know, just shoot me a message, like I'll bring you onto the team, you know, and like we can cut our teeth together, so that's no problem. We will fail our way to success because that's just how it goes. Okay, thank you. I'm sorry, thanks, Noelle.
No, of course. I mean, you're kind of new here, but you're speaking our language. It's exactly what we do, so it's great.
Thank you very much. Yeah, no, that's like I said, I actually saw you, what was it, you were at GovAI last year, so that was my first brush with Noelle Russell, and I've just been kind of following your stuff ever since, and then You know, once I was ready to start come out and coming out, like, start actually actively participating, once I felt like I had a body of knowledge to where every time I opened my mouth I wouldn't be ridiculous, you know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, very great.
And it's super fun because you were just like me. I always say I was like, I was just there asking that question. So it's so nice to like, then you go through this process and now I can shrink it down to something more. You don't have to do all the nonsense I did. Like, you could just do this thing that works. Works. Um, and it might not work for you, but at least the least I could do is offer it. Um, yeah, so I love it. Thank you for sharing. Uh, and that's, that's kind of people we are. We want to share. Christian, it's good to see you. How are you, my friend? Hopefully all is well. Are you coming from really far away? Are you, uh, where are you located? You're in California, aren't you?
I am in California. Can you hear me?
Yes.
Hey man.
Yes.
Hey, uh, based out of, uh, SF.
Still here.
I'm actually in Mountain View.
So awesome. Well, thanks for joining. It's super fun. It's nice to see you.
It's nice to see you. I think it was now like a year now, maybe. Yeah, probably. I think it's been a year since I think the last time I saw you, last time you were here.
Yes, we'll set up some one-on-one time, but I'm glad you came to the party here.
Um, but yeah, yeah, a little late, had a couple calls, but yeah, that's all right.
We record it and yeah, you'll get to see Alright, awesome. Well, thanks everyone for joining. Obviously, like, just any questions you have, we're here for it. There's lots of helpers helping, helping people. So Talisha is amazing. Yuvika, like, there's a lot of people here that are in different parts of the world. We have someone who's focused on tax. We have healthcare. We have finance people. So anything that you're interested in playing around with, but we do believe in learning by doing. We believe in showing versus telling. We believe in being, you know, an example and of course being the most positive influence in the room. So that is our motto. That is how we do things. Learning by doing is my favorite, and hopefully you guys will enjoy the journey with us. Keep up, keep an eye on the community. If you have any questions, just feel free to communicate directly to me or send a message to community and everyone will chime in. But it's really fun. Happy Friday.
Take it easy, folks. Bye.
Yeah, have a great day. Bye, everyone.
Hey, Noelle.
Yeah, um, apologize for background noise. Uh, one question I did have is I heard you say you're going to send out certifications this weekend, so I should be on the lookout for it then? Yes, I'm gonna recruit some people to help me build them out. But yeah, because I have like a lot that I have to do. Yeah, they're going out, and that's a good thing. You're getting people certified. It is good, but I am— I told someone the other day, I was like, I'm not waiting anymore. I'm just gonna do it. We'll just do them again if somebody misses it. And yeah, I'm just gonna do it. But yeah, they're going out this weekend for sure, because today was the last day that everyone could submit their bots for the 16th and 17th. So I'm gonna give them that and then send them out. Awesome. Thank you, Tracy. All right, I'll see you later. And I love the baby sounds.
