Again, thank you for allowing me to be the guest here at the church, and I guess it gives me great pleasure to be able to do the traditional welcome and the acknowledgement of country for all of you. For me, as a Kokoi Yarandi person coming from the traditional lands of northern Queensland, it certainly is always a privilege every time I get the opportunity to stand on the country that I know was lived upon by people for so many thousands of years previous to this, sorry. And so in my traditional language, I would like you all just to close your eyes, and I'm going to lead you through a traditional acknowledgement and a prayer. And that prayer is about— so I translate it now so I don't have to at the end— will be— it just says, it just says, to all of those that have walked on this land and that continue to walk on this land, we ask for you to walk by our side. And we walk and we ask for you to allow us to feel your presence. And then it also says for our Mother Earth, Mother Yelangai, to open her arms and to embrace us. So we close.
