LOVEfluencers: Day 1 Authentic A-Lister Challenge

In this live kickoff for the LOVEfluencers Authentic A‑Lister Challenge, Noelle Russell introduces a five‑day, 21‑point program designed to help aspiring influencers build authentic personal brands. She explains the community hub (the LOVEfluencers Facebook group and AuthenticALister.com), the daily homework and giveaway mechanics, and outlines the five content buckets that will be covered over the week: (1) audience discovery and problem/result definition, (2) web presence fundamentals, (3) leveraging voice through podcasts and audio platforms, (4) video and short‑form content creation (TikTok, etc.), and (5) monetization and business‑building strategies. Throughout the session she stresses a growth‑mindset, daily routines (gratitude meditation, goal‑setting, movement, mindfulness), and the importance of vulnerability and authentic storytelling. She provides concrete actions – joining the Facebook group, completing daily worksheets, creating personas, and submitting homework for a chance to win $100 gift cards – and previews the upcoming day‑by‑day agenda. The talk is informal, conversational, and motivational, aimed at empowering “Lovefluencers” to serve empathetic, service‑oriented audiences while avoiding generic, sales‑y marketing tactics.
Chapters
Hey everybody, welcome. Hopefully you can hear me okay. Now is the time, chat, chime in, give me some love. Let me know you can hear me. Um, if you are catching this live, just hashtag live. Um, it is a great day for many reasons. One, I am on vacation, kind of, um, as much as a girl like me goes on vacation. But yeah, I'm super excited to have the day off to do whatever I choose. And one of the things I have chosen to do is kick off this challenge. So I am live in a bunch of different areas, but there will be some special love given to those who are in the Facebook group. Um, we have a Lovefluencers Facebook group where we are going to be— I'm going to be putting in all of the worksheets and the homework assignments and just extra content. So if you want to get some of the things I'm going to say in written format, please join the Facebook group. There's probably a link somewhere that you can do that. Actually, let me do this. I will go in and type it into the chat so you can sign up, and this will get you right into the Facebook group and also set you up to get the daily email recap as well as the worksheets that are gonna go out this week. It's gonna be amazing. So it's just called AuthenticALister.com. And hey there, Frank, what's up? And then we are also going to end the challenge. So you'll see this link pop up momentarily. It might take a while. There is a bit of a delay when we are live streaming on a ton of different channels. I am currently live streaming on YouTube, on Periscope/Twitter, so hi Twitter family, and on my Facebook page, the Lovefluencers page, as well as the Lovefluencers group. And every day I will add a new channel, so I didn't wanna go live to everyone, but those of you who stick with me, I will open it up to different channels. And of course, we are recording this, so we will be able to package this up and make it available at the end of the week. Is there an echo? I don't know. So sometimes on Restream, it could be your feed. I've gone back and listened to it when people said there was an echo and there wasn't actually a perceptible echo in the replay, but maybe. Oh, the other thing I found out is if you are coming from a certain platform, as soon as you start typing, it also echoes. It's kind of a weird thing. So anyway, hopefully that is not going to be a problem. I don't have more than one mic, So let's just see. Oh, it also could be if you have more than one channel open. Okay, so great, nice to see you. It's just me. So great to see you all. So happy first day of Thanksgiving week. Many times this week starts a bunch of things for me. One, it makes me think about the year that's just gone by. November is always a wake-up call. Where I'm like, oh my gosh, have I done all the things I wanted to do this year? Because it's almost over. But then it also is a bit of a nudge towards 2021. What are we going to do with 2021? So just to give you a bit of, uh, context around why I even built this, uh, week of fun and exciting tips, um, is that I wanted to share with all of you things that I have done for multiple different reasons. So I've built a personal brand, you know, Noelle Russell Russell. I Google well. But here's the cool thing about the way I've built my brand is my brand is actually translated, and some of you women can relate, through 3 different name changes. But I've been able to carry over the work that I've done name change over name change. So for some of us who change our names, and you don't have to change your name due to any specific reason, you might just want to know that the tips and tricks I'm going to share with you actually transcend any kind of domain change or product change that you might have. But I will start this challenge by sharing with you why we're— why it's important. There are so many people right now who are displaced out of a profession or who are not, you know, able to be in the same profession because the profession is literally disintegrated. They're looking for a new opportunity, looking for a new job. They might even be looking for a new skill set. And so much of what I'm going to talk about this week is really based on the concept of being an ultra or a super learner, being great at learning new skills and then advocating to the world the skills that you have and the mission or passion or message that you want to get into the world. So this all started— you'll see there's a little— oh wait, over here, little heart. Lovefluencers, this all started in October of this year. It is now November, so it's only been— okay, I guess maybe it was, uh, maybe it was September. Anyway, I think it's been about a couple of months when I woke up and said to myself, I really want to create a community of people like me who want to build an authentic brand who want to get a message out into the world, who want to talk about important topics, but that we don't end up doing like cheesy internet marketing stuff with Facebook ads. And like, it just didn't feel like me. And so I wanted to create a way for us to talk about what are all the different ways that you're sharing what we think is important. And for those of you who know me, things I think are important are artificial intelligence, deepfakes, being able to, um, use AI responsibly and ethically, creating diversity in engineering. Like, there's all of these things that I, I'm passionate about, but what are ways that I can build, you know, channels for sharing that information in a way that I feel good about? And that's really what all of the things I'm going to share with you today are about. This, uh, program, or this challenge that we're doing. Every single day, we are going to have a homework assignment. And every single day, I'm going to ask you to go— you'll have to join the Facebook group because you only get to win if you are in the Facebook group. But we are going to hold an accountability post every single day, and you're gonna put your homework results into that post. Then I'm going to, in wonderfully engineering fashion, randomize everybody who did the homework and select a winner. And tomorrow's winner will get a really cool $100 gift card. Black Friday is right around the corner. Who knows what that could get you? It might get you a 70-inch television, but it really is just fun to get something. How many of us— I know I am one of those people for the longest time where I'm like, I never win anything. And so if I can be the catalyst for starting winning in your life with a $100 gift card, and we're gonna give away different gifts. I am a big fan of like gadgets, so like Echo earbuds, the Azure Sphere. We have just fun things that we're gonna give away that are kind of techie, but super fun. And then on Friday, we are gonna culminate this wonderful experience with a private, for those of you who choose to accept the mission, a private Authentic A-list bootcamp. It's our first ever Black Friday bootcamp. And the whole point of it is to build, like, I'm gonna go through 21 things pretty quickly, 5 days, 21 things haphazardly numbered. Um, but on Friday you're going to want an action plan. Like, okay, I learned 21 things. Which ones do I do and how do I do them? So on Friday, I'm going to show you the 3 things you can do to build a better brand this year, like literally starting immediately, and what you can focus on through the end of the year that you'll feel good about. You'll feel proud of what you've been able to do and how you've been able to show up in the world. So really exciting. Thank you all so much for joining live with me. It's really cool. So good to see you all. Some of you I only see like user number information, so I don't know, I can't tell who you are. I don't know what API call went bad. But anyway, I see you all, so thank you very much for joining me. Um, and so what are we going to do today? I actually have, um, oh, I could do it right here. So I will be talking to you this week basically around 5 buckets of content, and I've done these buckets before. I use a tool called Workflowy.com. I don't know if you know it. If you do, check it out, it's super easy. But the benefit of it is it allows me to create a really easy way of structuring my ideas. How many of us are idea people? Oh, like, tip: everyone's an idea person. Almost everyone I've ever met has ideas. The difference between everyone and you is that you will actually implement them. You will do a thing. You will build something. You will write something. You will say something, and you will publish it. It is the biggest difference between everyone who has an idea. How many people have sat on a couch, watched a commercial go up, and been like, "Wait a s— I thought about that 5 years ago. I've heard my parents say this, my grandparents." The difference with this challenge is we're gonna be doers, right? We're not just going to have an idea. We're not just gonna have a thing we want to say. We're actually going to do it, and we're going to say it. So I've broken up the days in into 5 buckets. The first day is all about, which we're about to jump into, how do you figure out who you're talking to? It is the number one question that you have to ask yourself, and if you get it right, you will be much more successful. Even if you get it wrong, the idea that you're asking these questions on the outset will improve your likelihood of success in making sure the right people see the right message. Day 2, we're going to talk about your web presence. There are so many ways to create a web presence out there, but today the web is like, right, the olden days, Yellow Pages. You're not anyone, or what's that saying? You're not someone, or you're not anyone. Anyway, anyway, anyone who's anyone, or everyone who's anyone— oh goodness, I don't know the sayings. If you want to build a brand, you have to have a web presence. So I'm going to share with you some tips and tricks I've used to build an online web presence that you don't have to care and feed every single day, but that will represent you. And I'll tell you how I've done it and how it's worked for me and some of the people that I have worked with. Um, day 3 is going to be all about using the power of your voice. So how do you create your first podcast? And I will give you the step-by-step process for building your podcast and your homework assignment will be to build your first podcast episode, launch it, and send it to us. We will all be your early subscribers. Um, that's what this community is really all about. We will also though talk about different ways to use your voice. I love the fact that on Periscope slash Twitter today you can do audio broadcast. There's entire platforms around audio broadcasting today. Uh, there's an app in beta called Clubhouse. All it is is audio. Your voice is powerful, especially once you figure out who you want to talk to and what you want to say. So we'll focus on who you want to talk to and what you want to say today, but on day 3, on Wednesday, we are going to talk all about how to use the power of your voice. Now on Thursday, I know Thanksgiving, but some of us around the noon hour will have put everything in the oven— me specifically— and I will put everything in the oven and I will be ready for a break. I may have wine or some other beverage that looks like wine in my hands, but let's get together and it's fun for me. Don't worry, you can catch it on the replay. Do not just, you know, do anything that would violate your traditions of Thanksgiving, but I'm making a new one. I want to do something that's helpful, and so this is going to help you do that. So on Thursday, we're going to talk all about video. I have done a really interesting thing over the summer through the pandemic of creating a TikTok account. I've been able to grow that account. I've been able to hit viral status on a few videos, and I want to share with you exactly what I did to get there. Um, and then I want to— on Friday, we're gonna put it all together. How do we monetize our work? How do we make sure we're doing it in a way that either gets us a new job, builds a new business, or expands an existing business that we already have? All of this is fine and good. Brands are awesome. But the reality is, is that we need to, to do something. We need to change lives, and we might want to build a business, a financial, um, a way to financially support a lifestyle that allows us to do that kind of advocacy. Or evangelism. So I'm going to share with you on Friday, the step-by-step process you can use and literally what I use every single day to be present in my communities and serve and how that has translated to better opportunities in the workplace, better opportunities in business relationships, and even better entrepreneurial opportunities. So that's it. That's our week. It's going to be really fun and exciting. I'm going to go over There are lots of people pinging me, so I'm gonna walk through this and just make sure I've asked some questions or answered some questions. So the good news is that every day you might ask a question. I just posted a question in our Facebook group. You're welcome to answer it, and I will make sure I hit it on one of these days throughout the next week. So should be fun, right? And all of these are going to be recorded. So, hey Jim, what's up? Thanks for joining me, my friend. So yes, it will be a great time this week, but I understand not all of us, A, have the time off. But I'm also thinking about like, how do more people get to know these tips and tips and tricks? Oh, it's so great to see you. Thank you, Tina, so much for joining me. It is awesome to see you as well. All my friends are here. You guys are so awesome. So great to see you all. And let's go ahead and get started, right? It's gonna be amazing. So the first thing I wanna do is share with you, so I'm gonna share with you 3 things today. The first one is, and really all of these could be considered part of your mindset. It is the most important thing you have to do when you are venturing on a new thing, whether it's a new adventure to build a new business, whether it's brush dusting yourself off from something, you know, that hurt and getting into a new world, whether it's a new job, a new industry, all of those things require you to, to obtain and maintain a solid growth mindset. So in order though, to do that, and in order to really make an impact in the world, I think you have to answer two questions. And this is actually a blog post that'll go out later today. 2 questions, the most important questions that you can answer yourself or ask yourself and answer for yourself. One, what problem do you want to solve? Why do you even want to say anything, right? You, Noelle Russell Russell, or you listening, what do you want to do? The problem you solve is so important to understand. Like, maybe some of us I know I'm this person. I've been hired not just because I'm good at my job, but because of the energy I bring to a team. Like I've literally been told by my manager, I love what you do, but I love even more that the team literally lights up when we get on calls together and you change the energy and the trajectory of our work when we work together. I find like, I love that and I wanna do more of that. So some of you know like what your thing is when you're on a team or when you're in a company or when you're starting a new business or talking to somebody, there's a, there's something you talk about that lights you up that you could talk about without prepping, without building a slide deck, right? Like you just, you know it. And this is the thing that you wanna look at and really examine and figure out what problem do you solve for people? It is very closely related to, and maybe more importantly, what results can you get for people? What is the thing that someone will look at and be like, I'm so glad Noelle Russell Russell was here because this happened. What's the result, right? Is it life-changing transformation through coaching? Is it, you know, building a strong team that can weather the storms of the entrepreneurial, you know, growth, um, hypergrowth startup scenario? What is it? What is it about you specifically and what you bring to the world that would deliver a result for someone, someone or a business or, you know, a company that you might want to join? The next thing I want you to talk about, and again, this is really associated with being a Lovefluencer in the world, being an influencer, thought leader, um, that thinks with empathy and kindness, that figures out a way to take their gift and share it with the right people. So the first question is, what problem do you solve, or what result do you get for people? And then the second question is, who is it that you serve? Now, for those of you who know me, I've been doing this a long time. I've been talking about these things for a decade. But only recently, when I realized who it was I was talking to, lovefluencers were my community, were my family, only then did I really get energized. And it took a long time for that community, that idea, that persona to show up in my mind. But it was a critical moment. And so not that you're going to get all these answers in one day and you're not going to get them just by asking them, but I encourage you to think consistently, maybe daily, have a Post-it on your computer or on your wall. That says, what problem am I solving? What results am I getting for this, for the people I'm trying to solve them for? And who are they? What do they do? Where do they hang out? What do they think? What are their problems? Many times it's us 5 years ago or 10 years ago, right? Many times it's who we are in the past, and we want to just help more people not have to go down our hard, painful path. If I could, I know I heard Tony Robbins, I think, say this once, if I could turn my decades into days for someone, that's such a win for me. So that, I think, is a big part of the success that you might have in building your brand is knowing what problem you solve and the results you can get for someone or a business. And then also thinking about who that is. What are their characteristics? The other really important thing about knowing who you're talking to is that if you are not careful and intentional about your dream customer or clients, you could end up with clients you don't actually like working with. Don't ask me how I know that, but if you are not intentional about, here's who I want and what, what attitude I want them to have about life, what mindset I want them to have, you will end up attracting anyone. Everyone. It's why we say, you know, it's important to— I say this word differently, other people— niche or niche, niche. I don't know, it just sounds— anyway, so I say niche. I also say Target when referring to Target. So, but I like the niches, right? The very— not just the genre of social media influencer. I like to niche it down to those who care about other people. Who are empathetic and kind and have hearts of service, servant leaders that are influencers, right? I've carved out my own little world. And that's what you want to do also is carve out the world you want, the people you want. Everyone I work with today, I truly love. Like, they are my friends. If there wasn't a pandemic, I would invite them to hang out with me. Like in person without masks in a non-pandemic world. Um, but they're my friends. They're people I would hang out with even if I wasn't in a business transaction with them. And that's, I think, a really important part of building a successful business is picking carefully the audience you want to target so that you are surrounded by people you like and you want to serve on a daily basis. So I talked about the being able to identify a niche or a niche The next thing I do, and this is all part of, right, identifying who the problem I'm going to solve and who I'm going to serve with that solution or result. The next thing I do is I create personas. I actually— some of you in marketing probably know this, but I create— I literally have written down who this perfect dream customer would be. I give them a name. I think of a picture. I might even go and find a picture that represents that. There's, by the way, artificial intelligence that'll generate a picture of a person for me based on characteristics. It's weird, I know, but I want to visualize this person. And every time I do a new thing— build a blog, create a podcast, invite someone on my podcast or to guest blog for me, or hire a coach in the Lovefluencers network— every time I do something like that, I want to think, will this person, my dream customer, right? Will they be like, will they like it? Is it for them? And it gives me also license, beautiful, wonderful license to say no to things. Some of us, especially us that are servant leaders, we love saying yes. And what having a dream customer and a very specific result allows us to do is say no to things that do not serve that purpose. Laser focus on how do we serve the— in my case, my Lovefluencers— how do I serve them in the most impactful way? Um, so I write down things like what kind of leader are they, what kind of business do they have, right? Are they just starting out or are they experienced? How do they think about money? Is it the most important thing? Are they wanting a Lamborghini or do they want to give to their favorite charity? These types of things will shift just ever so subtly who you end up serving. And it's important. Write it down, revisit it every day, stick it on your wall and everything you do. You know, it's that old saying, what would, you know, so-and-so do? What would Jesus do? What would Bill Gates do? In my case, what would my dream customer do? Would they want to see this? Would this help them? And it literally helps me build things that serve exactly who I want. And the other part of it, it repels people who don't get served by that message. So if there's someone who doesn't really get all this affirmations and, um, you know, mindset and empathy, they don't get it, don't want to get it, they don't stay. And that's what I want. I want customers who align with who I am. And these types of decisions around your persona around who you're gonna serve will help you create a brand that attracts people that are in alignment with you and repels people who aren't. All right, so as we move into— so that's number 1, right? We went into 1. I have 21 more to do, not today, but in 5 days. I'm gonna try to do 2 more, and the last one's pretty short, but, um, I think it's important. So the next one is all about mindset, mindset mastery. And as a matter of fact, for everyone today who joins the Facebook group, and for all of you who are, who are already in there, I'm going to send you a link to my mindset mastery course. It's in this really cool platform called, um, oh my gosh, Jim, what is it called? Um, mastermind.com. Um, mastermind.com. I published it there. It's free. It's not free. You go there and you'd have to pay for it, but I will create a free pass for all of you so you can go and see it. And it's just a much more deep, deep dive into this specific concept, uh, concept of mindset and Mindset Mastery. But one thing in Mindset Mastery I think is important for you to think about, especially today, Monday, the beginning of Thanksgiving week, the start of the holiday season, at least for me, is all around morning routines. So even on vacation, I have the exact same morning routine. And I think it's important to establish one. One, because studies have actually shown that people who do a morning routine are consistent in more areas in their life. Who couldn't use more consistency? The second thing though, is that it's, if you do certain things to inspire you before starting your day, your day also will be more productive. So here's what I do. You don't have to do the same thing. There are lots of books on this. I'll actually share with you my favorite book in the Facebook group. Um, but the first one, first thing I do is I open my eyes, I realize I'm awake, I put my hand over my heart, and I do a gratitude meditation that I heard someone do. And I was like, that's brilliant. I love it. And it only takes a couple of minutes. And what I do is I start with my hand over my heart, literally wherever it is. And I, I get quiet enough to feel and almost hear my heartbeat. And in that moment of hearing my heartbeat, I am grateful that my heart is still beating. And then I think just outside of that, what that allows me to do, it allows me to go live on things like LinkedIn. And Twitter and YouTube and Facebook. It allows me to walk around. It allows me to clean my house and take care of my children. It allows me to do all sorts of things. And so gratitude just starts bubbling up. And then I expanded even further. What is the fact that I get to speak out loud or do my own dishes? What does that allow me to do? Right? My kids are happier in a clean house. My, um, my community is happier when they get cool and fun ideas. So it's really interesting what ends up happening when you just start with your heartbeat and how much goodness in your life is related to the fact that your heart is beating. Anyway, it starts my day off amazing. That's the first thing I do. The second thing I do is I get up. I actually read a devotional type thing, but I encourage anyone to just read something inspirational. It could be a book by, you know, a nonfiction writer who's just writing about something inspirational. It could be religious in nature. It could be, you know, any— it could be anything as long as you walk away after 15 minutes of reading it and you're inspired. The next thing I do is I write down my goals. So I get out my journal and I write down 3 goals. I don't journal like some of you probably like write a lot. I don't have a lot of time, so I write 3 things. I write a personal goal, a professional goal, and a financial goal. And those are the same 3 things. I write the same 3 things every day. Sometimes I edit it, but then from then on, those are the 3 things I write every day. And what I try to do is just, again, laser focus. I'm going to make sure that I make decisions in alignment with those 3 goals today. So writing them down first helps me to do that. And then finally, um, I, I guess I do two things. I get on my bike, my Peloton, or I go for a walk, or I clean, because I found out that cleaning is actually a calorie burner. It's not my favorite, but I get on my bike, my Peloton. I love it. I love the instructors there. They are so inspiring. Sometimes I don't even need to hear them. I just go and do just ride, and I'll read a book while riding. But I work up a sweat. So I start my day working up a sweat, getting going, getting my body moving, doing maybe a yoga flow. And the last thing I do is I spend some time in mindfulness. It's a little bit different than the gratitude exercise because this, I don't wanna think about anything. I just want to clear my mind, let the softest, smallest voice within me speak a little bit louder, right? What are those thoughts? And so I clear my mind and just practice the act of clearing my mind because my mind is constantly full of ideas, especially at the beginning of the day. And I just breathe and clear it out. I let ideas come and go, but I don't write anything down. I just breathe. And so I created— I don't know if you know, but I am an Alexa dev, and I created an Alexa skill Oh no. Oh good. Okay, sorry. I created an Alexa skill called Mindfulness, and the mindfulness skill that I've created is 1 minute long. You can have it extended. It'll ask you every minute, "Would you like to keep going?" But I made it a minute for a reason, because people— someone like me, or really me, I only— if I can get 1 minute of mindfulness in, I win. If I can keep extending, awesome. But I feel sometimes, and a lot of mindfulness people who feel like they know a lot about this space are like, you can't get mindfulness in a minute. But the reality is, is mindfulness is practice. And you can practice one minute at a time. I'm a believer in it. I'm a product of it. So I created that skill and I start my day with that skill, not just because I wrote it, um, but because sometimes If I can successfully get through 1 minute of breathing, of uninterrupted breathing, I can feel really good about my day. And so I do that. I also do it right before I get on a Zoom call, or I used to do it right before I go into meetings. And it's just 1 minute to like be still and breathe and like let all the chatter go. And, and I think it's a huge part of also having a good mindset. Like, your mindset— it's hard to remember or, um, kind of embrace this mindset if you're— if you're doing things all the time, if you're busy all the time. I am the poster child for busyness, and I constantly draw towards those things that cause me to stop. I'll tell you, I have— oh, it's funny, I'm reversed. Anyway, I have this bracelet, and it is very simple. But it allows me to literally— I will start at one point and I will just breathe and count these beads. And when I get— there's a little knot that tells me where I started and where I've ended, but I just breathe. And it's these little anchors, these little tools that wherever I am, I can call upon to bring peace. Because it— what I found out, actually, I'll tell you a short story before I, um, go to the last thing that I'll share with you today. One thing I, I love doing— hot yoga. I don't know if hot yoga is a thing anymore or if we can even do it anymore. I haven't done it obviously since the pandemic started, but I loved hot yoga. It used to be called Bikram yoga, and then for those of you who know that world, there's a reason they don't call it that anymore. Um, but I loved it. I loved the practice. I loved the difficulty. And the reason I loved it was because you would do a posture and it would be crazy hard, and then you would rest. And it became a pattern, like, in my life. I recognized this pattern. I recognized that I'm constantly doing crazy hard things, and I could— I really found value in the resting, right? In the, okay, I did this thing, I did this push, and now I breathe and I process and I think about the impact of what I've done. Did it work? Did it not work? Right? But it is in the resting that I act— my body was recovering. So I'm not saying that every time you do something hard professionally, you have to like sit in meditation. I just think it's very interesting, the value I got from realizing that the ebb and flow of hard and easy, or difficult and less challenging, that without choosing it, my life has done that. I've had extremely hard situations. And then I've had to take time to recover. I kind of think of it like the seasons. I've shared this with some of you before, right? Like it's like the seasons. Bikram yoga is very much the same way. Like you only have to struggle for a season. Winter is hard. We are about to go into a potentially very dark, lonely winter for some of us, but spring will come. Buds will bloom. Um, and the world will get better. Even, you know, if we go back decades over decades and look at other similar scenarios where the world kind of crumbled, we then got better. So who can we be now knowing the difference? Because sometimes we get caught up in that story, right? We get caught up in the, this is bad, and it's cold, and winter is terrible, and it snowed more than ever this year. But what could we do We could do a little bit of that. We can spend some time in the, the hard, the challenge, but then we set ourselves up for success. And that's a lot about what this challenge is all about. What are tools you can start implementing today that in this dark winter, if you keep going and keep building, by the time you come on the other side, your brand will be bigger, better, and stronger than it would have been otherwise, which you will look back and be like, I'm so glad I did that, right? It felt like a dark time, but it turned out to be the perfect time to build yourself. And so a lot of these tools will help you do that. The last thing I'll talk to you about is— and this is 3 of 21, um, but the last thing I'll talk to you about is vulnerability. Now, many of you know that I consistently share, kind of like I'm talking to you like you're sitting right here. If we were at a coffee shop, I'd talk to you the same way. If we were, you know, at a conference, or whatever. Like, I am me all the time, so there's not really a place you would go and be like, wow, oh, Noelle, like, I didn't realize how Instagrammed your life was, right? I'm super authentic and real. And so part of the Lovefluencer community is how do we encourage you. Now, granted, I did take a shower for you all, um, and it's my vacation. I might not have chosen to do that if I was not going live. Excuse me, but in general, like, how do we just show up and be ourselves and know that, right, that's going to attract people that want that? And the reality is we are in a time in this world where everyone is craving normalcy, not the pretty picture, not the shiny Rolex by a car with a plane in the background lifestyle, like, look at who I am. Like a lot of us just want real people. We want to actually feel like the people we're talking to are our friends. Sure, we might be in a business together, but we like them, right? And we care about each other. And so I think with Lovefluencers and the work that we're doing here is how do we build a brand that allows us to be truly ourselves every single day? So being vulnerable doesn't necessarily mean getting to a point where you're crying in front of your audience, though I do it all the time, as many of you know. Sometimes when I cry, like, there are things that I'm still healing in myself. Think, you know, atrocities that I've been working on that are not completely healed. And when I touch them, it's like a sore, you know, wound. When I touch them, it's like, bam, wow, oh. And it's— and sometimes it even surprises me, things that I haven't healed yet. But I think the important thing about being vulnerable is being willing to go there and not be afraid of the outcome. Not be afraid if somebody sees you be emotional, but even then not be afraid if someone sees you be upset or disappointed. Like, it doesn't just have to be sad, it's just being real. And what if the real you is super excited? But also, or like me, everyone thinks I'm an extrovert, that I love to like go out and do these things. And the reality is, is I actually wish And look, I'm gonna cry. I wish I had like 7 or 10 friends in my little bubble and I could just be like with those people forever. Like, I don't need much more than that, that I could just pull away. And I can't in my house with 4 children and my dad pull away for a day and just be quiet and not talk to anyone or do anything. There's parts of who I am that the world— like, I'm trans, obviously I'm sharing this with you. But it's okay. You don't have to paint a picture of who you are and then live that picture every day. You can repaint that picture in every single moment. And being a Lovefluencer is being in a community where we celebrate that and we find people who also believe that way, because every part of you is important. And every story that you— every story that you share— thank you. I will have you in my 7 to 10 friends. You all know you are my, my people. Um, but yeah, it's, uh, it's— I think it's important to know that who you are, in the good and the bad, is worth sharing with the world. Because someone is right where you were in your darkest time, and they can't see the way out. They can't see that describing themselves as a divorcee, or describing themselves as a battered wife, even though they're out of that situation, but that's how they introduce themselves. They don't realize that there's another way, that they can get to the other side, but only through us telling our stories and saying, I went through these experiences, but I'm now over here and you can come too. Like, the bad part doesn't have to be the end. As a matter of fact, I always consider it the beginning. And now I have enough self-awareness that when something bad happens, I think to myself, oh my gosh, this was bad. And I instantly start thinking, all right, what's my happy ending? Like, what, what happens at the end of this story? And for some of you who know, like, I suffered horrible bad things over the course of my life, and I'm still— every 2 or 3 years I figure out a new happy ending, a new way that I wanted to end. And so, like, you know, when you think about yourself as a E! True Hollywood Story, or whatever that, that, um, show was. Or when you think of yourself as a novel, like, how do you want it to end? Because every single thought that you have right now can lead you towards exactly the end that you want. And my dad, when I was younger, gave me a poster, and it was, it was awesome. I actually kept it. Um, I have it to this day, though it's charred. It's a another long story about how all my belongings got burned in a fire, but it's charred. And, uh, but I found it and I kept it because it says, use every me— like every conversation you have, every email you write, every, um, meeting you're in to share the vision of the world you want, because it is only then that the world will begin to understand the greatness of you and your ideas. That don't waste a minute, don't waste a post. Don't— like me, I, I can go live on LinkedIn anytime I want. I very rarely do. And so I'm making, you know, a change. I'm doing 5 days in a row. I won't— I promise you I won't bother you during lunch every single day for the rest of my life. But I think it's so important that you use the tools that are at your disposal to share the vision of the world you want. Because it is only then that you'll see the greatness of your own life unfold. Every time I tell my story— stories— someone comes to me and says how it's changed their life. And with tears in their eyes, they'll say, I thought I was alone in this. Every time. How sad that we are suffering alone and we're actually all feeling similar pain, right? So be adventurous. As you uncover, right, what problem you want to solve for people, what result you want to get them, who they are, and then combine it with the vulnerability and be willing to share your life with those people to get them to the other side, to get them to a point where you are, where you have overcome. And some of us haven't overcome it yet. Even if we're just one chapter ahead, I call this the Roger Bannister story, right? Like Sometimes people, you can't even see that there's a solution possible. I mean, there's so many people that are struggling right now that can't even see the green grass to go after it. They can't even see that there's rainbows and puppies on the other side. And us just being willing to say, yeah, it sucked, but then I did this, this one thing, and I smiled a little bit more. I wrote down my problems and I felt better. Just sharing these little things that we do on a daily basis will help people. I know you don't maybe know how big of a deal it is, but it only starts when you choose to get out there. So Love Fluencer homework, let's do this thing. So today your homework, and if you choose to accept it, is to either on this post, or if you are in my Love Fluencers Facebook group, join it. If you're not there, the link is here. Join it. And our homework assignment— you'll see a post that represents this homework assignment— this week is to identify the result you want to give to people. What is it? What is it about you? And, and saying this is going to demonstrate your vulnerability because you have to say out loud to the world, here's what I can do. Which, for those of us who have a little bit of imposter syndrome, Sometimes we don't even know or feel like we can do it. But if there's a voice, get quiet, spend some time in mindfulness. And if there's a voice in you that says you're here to do this thing, write it down, write it down. If you already know what your thing is, write that down. Um, but identify what is the result. For those of you who are a step ahead, the gold star will be awarded to those who already know who they want to talk to. Like me, my brand is Lovefluencers. That's my community. That's who I talk to. If you have a similar brand, I know Russell Brunson has a bunch of people who build sales funnels and he calls them funnel hackers, right? Half of the battle of building a brand is creating a community that will embrace it. And so understanding who you want to serve, how you want to serve them. And like I said, for a gold star, if you happen to know their name, share that with us as well. I hope you enjoyed it. Day 1. Check out all, all of these channels will have content on them all week long. I'm having so much fun. I hope you found it beneficial and helpful. Remember, if you want to do Mindset Mastery, join the Facebook group and I'll send you all the link. Hope you had fun. Thanks for joining me. This will be live available all week long. I think I was going to only do it for 24 hours, but I realized some people are not off today. So I'm gonna make it available all the way till Friday, uh, and then it will go away. So, uh, we'll do this challenge once every couple of months, but take notes, do the homework, and move your brand in a direction of empathy, kindness, and service to the world. I think you all are amazing. Um, so that's it for now. Tomorrow we talk about— oh, let's see, What are we talking about tomorrow? Anyone remember? I wrote it down. Oh yeah, that's right. So tomorrow we're gonna talk all about how to build not just a web presence, but how to make sure that people connect with you in a way that you can reengage with them. So this is about your website, creating your first email list, creating a landing page. I've done a few of them over the past couple of months. They've been extremely successful. So I'm gonna share that with you. Um, it's really going to be all about like, how do you find out if a book is going to be successful before you ever write it? Some of you know I did this. I did a talk about a book. I recorded that talk and transcribed it, and then I put up a landing page and said, who might be interested in this when I finish it? I got 770 people who said yes. That's amazing. So, and inspiring. Now I want to go write the thing, and I've spent time every week writing it. It's actually going to be finished this coming weekend. It's part of NaNoWriMo. I'm so excited. Um, but it's these kind of ideas, hopefully, that will help you this week. So go in, do your homework, tell me what you, uh, what you want to do, what message you have, what problem and result you want to generate for someone. And I look forward to sharing more time with you tomorrow at noon Eastern 9 AM. I was a little bit late today, I should say, in my last minute. I have 4 kids, so I may not be extremely punctual if, for example, a diaper needs to be changed or kisses need to be given, because all of my children ask me to say goodbye with kisses 4 times. Not one for each child, 4 times per child. First it was kisses, and then they're like, "Can I have a hug goodbye?" "Could I hug your arm goodbye?" I'm like, "I'm not going anywhere, just going downstairs." Anyway, it's pretty funny. But yeah, so I will be here as close to 12 o'clock as possible. Hang in there. Hope you found today helpful and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Thank you, talk to you later. And we're out, bye.
